I haven’t been a patient of Dr. Rastegar for many years now, but while living in New York, he was my ONLY dentist. He was extremely patient, thorough and has one of the kindest bedside demeanors. I wish more doctors were like him! His procedures were all well done and have lasted many years. In fact, the veneers he fitted me with have lasted almost 20 years now. I trust him so much that when these fail (hopefully not anytime soon), I will get on a plane and have Dr. Rastegar do them again. Oh, and I couldn’t forget to mention Sally! Not only a bundle of joy, but she is BARRE NONE the most gentle (and funniest) hygienist on the planet.

To anyone who is considering Invisalign in the NY metro area, go with Dr. Rastegar, no doubt in my mind that he mapped out the best treatment plan for my needs available on the market. He is extremely professional, experienced, patient, not to mention truly friendly and kind. I enjoyed my visits to his office, his staff, everyone from the receptionist to his assistants are equally professional and sweet. I absolutely hate dentists offices! I had an infected tooth however and I had to go see one. Dr. Rastegar is by far and away the greatest dentist to ever walk the face of the earth!! Not only was he very understanding and helpful, but he talked me through everything, keeping me calm and before I knew it he had extracted a tooth with absolutely no trace of pain or discomfort!! I can not say enough amazing things about Dr. Rastegar and his entire team! I had been contemplating for years about trying Invisalign to correct a significant overlap and crowding. I had gone to half a dozen dentists and free consultations and was growing tired of the whole process. I was always petrified of the dentist office as a child and wasn’t having much luck as an adult either. Most of the consultations and dentists I had come across were pushy, arrogant and not very informative. A friend of mine had recently gone in for some cosmetic work with Dr. Rastegar and recommended him to me- particularly because of his bedside manner. I called up, got an appointment the next day and pretty much fell in love with the office the minute I walked in. The assistants were warm and friendly and Dr. Rastegar himself was incredibly patient, kind and made me feel at ease immediately. He listened to all my questions, concerns and fears and then addressed each of them one by one. It was without a doubt the most HONEST and comprehensive consultation I had ever had. He knew so much about Invisalign and the entire process so I knew I was in good hands. The office offers dental programs as well through Chase so I was able to apply for a loan/line of credit that would allow me to pay off the balance at 0% interest for up to 2 years. I filled out the paperwork immediately and that very same day we started the process. I am almost at the end of my treatment now and my results are unreal! I am so happy with them and everyone I know (and some I don’t know) comments on how great my teeth and smile look! I actually look forward to going to the dentist now- which I NEVER thought I would say. Sally, the Hygienist is amazing as well and really is incredibly thorough- I go for cleanings now every 6 months! My boyfriend is now a patient of Dr. Rastegar and I know once we have children- they will be too! Best Dentist in NYC!!

I’m new to this office about 8 months in and found: Dr. Rastegar is absolutely wonderful–not only a great dentist providing outstanding patient care with an exceptional bedside manner, but also a really nice person. He is completely professional and draws on his extensive experience in dentistry. I’ve always been highly critical of dentist in general but I have total confidence in Dr. Rastegar. My insurance does not cover everything in full at this office like it does at other dental providers, but I don’t mind paying the additional cost because Dr. Regtegar aims to be the best in the industry. Quite frankly,his entire staff deserve the highest praise starting from the ladies at the front desk to the dental assistants who are always gentle, friendly, and accommodating. Right now my son is doing Invisalign & I could not be more pleased with how it’s going. Haven recently found this office, I will revisit and update this post in 6-8 months, but I trust that my dental health and aesthetics are in great hands. I highly recommend Dr. Rastegar to others.

Dr. Rastegar is wonderful. He is a great dentist and is very understanding of your financial situation. His staff always remembers what’s going on in my life and they make sure to personalize their experience with you. I never liked getting my teeth cleaned but I had so much fun talking to their hygienist that I can’t wait to do it again in 6 months! It’s a bit pricey without insurance but the experience and their cooperative payment plans make it worth it. It’s also in a great location and a very elegant, safe building. Plus it’s next door to a Starbucks. Good enough for me.

I was terrified of dentists. Having only had one good experience (and that was as a child) I was by no means looking forward to my overdue and very necessary appointment. Even coming highly recommended, I was still a skeptic…until my first meeting with Dr. Rastegar. Apprehensive and distrusting, Dr. Rastegar’s uncommonly warm, yet professional bedside manner calmed me instantly. As he read over my chart, he asked relevant questions and listened attentively when I answered. He addressed my concerns and did not make light of my fears. We discussed how we would proceed with any treatments in a manner that was most comfortable for me. Overall, it was the most comprehensive and thorough consultation I had ever had. My subsequent visits were no less. With each procedure- explained in terms easy for me to understand- and near painless, Dr. Rastegar gained my trust. Six months later, I am still as impressed as I was the very first day I sat in his chair. Yes I go back to NYC to get my teeth done! Sally does the best tooth cleaning in the east and deals with my dental issues with ease and grace. Plus she’s got a massage chair, good music and a spit sink that make my visit a bit easier. For tough jobs she’ll even breakout the laughing gas for me! The entire staff to so friendly that it almost doesn’t feel like a dentist appointment until the lectures about my lack of flossing begin. Dr Rastegar is an all around great dentist. I still recommend him to my friends back east. He might want to consider updating his Yelp photo. I’m sure they take all kinds of insurance not that I have dental coverage. Paying out of pocket and flying cross country adds up but it’s worth it to me.

I’ve known Sassan for over 12 years and he’s the best ! I wish him all the best. In 2006 he replaced ALL my teeth with implants. It WAS expensive, but, it’s the BEST investment I have EVER made. I was just recommending Dr. Rastegar to a friend and I found myself reading these yelp reviews – I MUST say – Dr. Rastegar is the BEST dentist I have EVER been to. It is true – you might be able to save $20 going to another dentist, but if you like quality care in a calm, professional environment, this is the place to go. He has been my dentist for several years and now my mom sees him and several friends see him. Not a single complaint from anyone. Actually, a friend just texted me yesterday saying that she went to Dr. Rastegar on my recommendation and she said, and I quote “I love your dentist! Thank you!” If you are upset because you thought Invisalign was going to cost $3000 total because of a $50 Groupon you bought, you need to do a little more research. Dr. Rastegar has been overseeing my Invisalign progress – and yes – it was expensive. It is not magic – you may read online that you will have perfect teeth in 4 months for $3000, but I can tell you from experience, that there is an art to it and if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Dr. Rastegar monitors my Invisalign (which, yes, is a company that sends the trays to him from a computerized image of my mouth), but he has taken new impressions two more times as a few of my teeth have been stubborn and a few of the trays have irritated my gums. I imagine that many dentists would just send you home with several sets of trays and say ‘good luck’. Dr. Rastegar monitors each set I put in my mouth and even calls to check up on my progress between visits. Dr. Rastegar spends so much time making sure my mouth is in great shape while my teeth slowly move. Slowly being the appropriate adverb. In addition to a great experience with Invisalign at his office, I’ve also always trusted his opinions on my oral health. He does not EVER suggest work that is unnecessary – in fact, he often says, ‘someday you may need to replace that filling, but it is fine for now’. Also, if you have dentist anxiety like I do, he is so calm and patient and never rushes me and does a great job keeping me calm and comfortable. Everyone who works in his office is nice, professional, calm and lovely. Please believe me when I say this is the best dentist I have ever been to. I will always recommend him to friends and family and will continue on as a patient of his forever!

I started my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Rastegar at the end of February (2014). I found Dr. Rastegar through a Living Social deal. Purchasing that deal was the best thing I could do. Dr. Rastegar is extremely professional and his staff are patient, understanding and courteous. Sheryl, has been a life saver! Due to paying rent and other bills, she helped me design a pay schedule suitable for paying off my bill. She never rushed, bombarded or hassled me. She was very understanding. I go in for my first teeth cleaning as an adult (I know I should have gone a long time ago lol) and after reading the great reviews Sally has gotten, I know I will be in great hands. Found Dr Rastegar through the Invisalign Groupon for my husband. He’d already had the treatment and needed some follow up work done, so I called to ask if the deal applied for something like that. It didn’t, but the receptionist said he could still come in for a free consultation to figure out what they could do for him. Husband came back raving about the place. They worked out a payment and treatment plan so he could pay for his new Invisalign treatment in installments, and were generally nice and friendly all along. Now, I’m no fan of dentists. I’ve had several terrible ones, so it had been *mumble mumble* years since I’d visited one. My husband, knowing that I really should see one and since we have dental insurance now there were no more excuses, explained my pathological fear to Dr Rastegar, who totally understood how I felt and made sure to hook me up with his nicest hygienist, Sally. I was skeptical, but still went in to see her. Sally is *amazing.* She was understanding of my nerves, relaxed me as much as possible, then dove in to start cleaning..only to have to deliver the bad news that I didn’t need just a regular cleaning, but a serious periodontal treatment. Naturally I was a little more freaked out by this, and she even offered to go get my husband from the waiting room so I’d have someone to hold my hand while she novacained the heck out of my gums. Sally promised that soon I would be looking forward coming to the dentist. Four periodontal treatments later and I’m not exactly looking *forward* to my next (regular) cleaning, but I’m definitely not dreading it like I was before I started going! TL;DR – if you need your teeth cleaned, ask for Sally! She’s a lifesaver and so understanding of us dentist-phobics!

I have been going to Dr. Rastegar for the past 10 years. Dr. Rastegar and his staff have always been very couteous and proffessional. About 8 months ago,I became interested in getting Invisalign treatments. Dr.Rastegar , explained and walked me through the whole treatment and the cost of it. His staff helped me to sign up for the no iterest patient financing which took less than 5 minutes.They even did all the paper work for me and also followed up with my insurance company to cover part of the expences.I am almost done with my treatment,and my teeth look great. My younger son and my husband have appointments to start their treatments next week.
