I am very fortunate to have Dr. Tan as my dentist:) He is very nice and experienced. i have visited at least 5 different dental places in irvine and I chose Dr. Tan over the other ones because he cares about his patients very much. So far I have extraction and implants done and I am very pleased with the results. The other staffs are very professional and approachable. Michelle is Dr. Tan’s sister and she is in charge of billings and everything 🙂 she is the sweetest person ever. I would definitely recommend Dr. Tan to other people.

He is always nice and very patience in explaining the issues of your teeth. He took his time in his treatment, so you never feel rush and uncomfortable. I’ve had a missing tooth for a while and have been considering an implant but I was afraid how the cost and the idea of having something planted into my mouth. My friend referred me to Dr. Tan and after getting a consultation and fully exam from Dr.Tan I decided i was ready for the implant.I walked in scared for the process but with Dr.Tan’s experience he made me feel comfortable and finished the procedure in less than an hour. He gave me a prescription for antibiotics and pain killer but it hasn’t really been hurting after. I think Dr. Tan is very reliable and walked me through the process and the price is very reasonable.

I’ve been to Dr. Tan’s office for over 6 years now. Before coming to Dr. Tan, I’ve gone to two other dentists in the Irvine area but didn’t find them as good as Dr. Tan. Dr. Tan is an excellent dentist who is extremely professional and really good at taking care of the patients needs. He has done a tremendous job over the years on my teeth and I’ve never had any problems after each of my visit. Just came back today from my semi-annual cleaning. As usual, I’m a happy customer. The dentist is something I usually dread and would never take initiative to go. However, I was in dire need of a checkup so I came to SC Dental because it is in close proximity to my work. Upon entering, I was greeted by the front desk people. They were very friendly and made sure I knew the exact costs and what my insurance would cover. The assistant, Edith, was soo patient with me while I gagged half the time during the X-rays. Dr. Tan was extremely kind and gentle during the whole process. He explained to me the process of the periodontal chart and why he was evaluating my gums. A few minutes into the conversation and I could feel Dr. Tan knew exactly what he was doing and well experienced. I appreciate how he explained the terms and procedure to me without sounding like jargon.

I’ve been going to Dr. TAN for almost 5 years I believe and I can say hands down he’s the best. Such a sweet and professional demeanor with a top notch approach to dental care. I’ve had deep cleanings, a crown, teeth whitening, fillings, regular cleanings and a root canal with him and it hasn’t disappointed ever. The staff take their time and explain everything to you, answer questions and just make you extremely comfortable each and every time. He even takes Saturday appointments!!! I mean, come on that’s cool. I know a lot of people are leery of dentists in general but Dr. Tan, Michelle and the entire staff treat you like family. And they actually now have two locations for even more convenience. I’m grateful that our family found him. Dr. Dean Tan received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1992, and has been practicing in California for nearly two decades. His patients feel comfortable with him simply because of his gentle care, advanced technique and long term experience. Dr. Tan is an active member of the community, including the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Orange County Dental Society. A daily runner for over 20 years, Dr. Tan has so far finished over 50 marathons and numerous races. This hobby also helps him develop the dedication and discipline necessary in providing quality dental care for his patients.
