Great dentist. I liked my first experience in August and every visit since then. The office is a good place and the assistants and staff (Amelia, Shawn, Cathy and others) are also top-notch. I had some good experiences in this office even though my needs were bigger than I anticipated. Doctor Hayhurst got the jobs done and chose the best method to take care of my dental needs. He is good at educating the patient of his findings and what treatments he recommends and then lets YOU choose. No pressure. I recommend this office and doctor to anyone.

Kelly up front was amazing in explaining everything to me and Kaitlyn (sp?) did an awesome job doing my cleaning! Emilia was awesome getting the temp. crowns removed and helping me get comfortable while Scott got the crowns on. Scott was thorough and professional when explaining situations that came up during the examination and did the work virtually pain free (the gas helped)! Going back next week to get my (not so) wisdom teeth removed and know I’ll be in good hands!

I’m uninsured and had a broken upper left bridge. I took advantage of Dr. Hayhurst’s promotional offer of a free first visitation. He reaffirmed that I needed a new bridge, but unlike another dentist I had visited, Dr. Hayhurst’s bridge construction proposed was much better and stronger than the other dentist proposed for about the same amount of money. There was no charge for the visitation. The work was completed in a timely fashion with superior results. By paying with cash or check versus credit card he saved me 5 percent. The office and medical personnel were very personable yet very professional. Admittedly, he and his staff were very enthusiastic in cross selling other dental needs they believed were important but accepted “no” or “later” agreeably. I have read a couple of other testimonials that were negative, but these patients should have spoken up at the time and made their disatisfaction clear and demanded a remedy. I believe Dr. Hayhurst has a strong personality, but would follow my golden rule, “he with the gold rules.” I now consider him my dentist of choice and will have work done when I am financially positioned to do so

Simply the best. I first visited the office and met Dr. Hayhurst a few years back on a professional visit. During the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to work with dozens of dentist and visit numerous practices. I knew once I saw the office, interacted briefly with the friendly folks at the front desk, and met Dr. Hayhurst, I had found my dentist. Fast foward to now and I had so much work to be done. Not to bore you with details, but all my old work from 35 plus years ago seemed to throw in the towel at the same time; broken front tooth from rafting incident, botched incomplete root canal started by another nameless office (complete with broken instruments left in my jaw-sure wish I had met Dr. Hayhurst first), periodontal cleaning, just a ton of work. The staff worked so well as a team. Each stage of care was performed by an expert at that task. Communication between team members was noticeable and effective. When the deep periodontal cleaning was done I told the technician that I felt she was working on her own mouth, such attention to detail, going over difficult spots until they met her obvious high standards. I did get confused at one point about the care plan and where we were in the “presentation” but simply ask. Shelly at the front desk is an excellent communicator and will answer any question presented. My primary hygienist was so pleasant and empathetic that I got to a point where I looked forward to seeing her. Imagine that, looking forward to a trip to the dentist! My only regret is that I did not do a proper before and after picture. You would not believe, I still can not believe the difference. It all just looks amazing and the crowns are so well done that the functionality is astounding. Great job, great people!

I have been going to Dr. Hayhurst for quite a while now. I am having extensive dental work, extractions etc done, everyone in his office are great to work with & always make me feel comfortable. I typically don’t care for dentists, but in this case, I am always very relaxed, he is more concerned with the patient & always willing to discuss everything from procedures to payments, insurance questions & questions in general. Being new to the area forced me to look for a new dentist. A friend referred me to Dr. Hayhurst. My experience with Dr. Hayhurst and his staff has been fantastic. His staff is attentive and pleasant. They are flexible and easy to work with. For years I had a couple of teeth that bothered me. After consulting with Dr. Hayhurst we decided that Invisalign would be a good route for me. I have couple more weeks of treatment, but I could not be happier with the results so far. My teeth are as straight as I always wanted them to be. To top it all of Dr. Hayhurst has a great personality. He makes going to the dentist enjoyable! I would give him the highest of recommendations.

I found this dentist about 3 years ago in the yellow pages one morning when one of my teeth cracked and broke. They were able to schedule me in that day! They will often have some unscheduled time in case of dental emergencies such as mine. Now for the review of care…but first a bit of my own history. I have been the recipient of much brutal dentistry begining at age 6. Despite my endeavor in oral hygine; my teeth are simply weak. I’ve had root canals other places over my years and I can tell you without a doubt Dr. Hayhurst is the most gentle and understanding. They have t.v.’s on the ceilings with headphones to help drown out the sounds and distract from the inevitable actions necessary to repair a tooth. Extra care to place protective eyewear on patients from light glare is also a kind service. Billing is never fun, but services are all explained carefully and no service is rendered without consent. I appreciate that he also explains personally all the services needed in order to have a completely healthy set of teeth. That doesnt mean you have to have all the work done; but its nice to know what’s not right in there. I’d also like to add I’m 100% self-pay (no insurance)…and Dr. Hayhurst doesn’t have the most inexpensive services, but the quality of care and service is top notch! No wonder he is the official dentist for the Idaho Steelheads!

Great experience! I went a few weeks ago for a cleaning and Katie did an amazing job. I thought I was getting a good cleaning before at other offices but this was so much better (plus no pinching or pain). My teeth have never felt so clean and she was great about showing me where and how I need to improve. The front desk staff was also very friendly and helpful. If you aren’t a big fan of getting your teeth cleaned you should definitely give them a try, they’ll change your mind.

First and foremost beware of the one star ratings and emotional accusations, there are people out there that don’t want to admit they need more dental work than they actually do. In my case, I hadn’t been to a dentist office in 17 years. The very thought of going to a dentist gave me anxiety, just something about teeth…I got a referral from my mom as I had been living with a shattered tooth for a couple years and it needed attention. I needed more work than just the shattered tooth so I was also dealing with a bit of embarrassment. To keep a long story short, I needed to schedule a series of appointments over the course of the next 6 or so months to get my dental hygiene back to a healthy and manageable state. I couldn’t believe how easy they made EVERYTHING! The staff knew exactly what to do and say to keep me anxiety free! I never felt embarrassed and they kept me from feeling guilty about letting me teeth get to where they were. From the first appointment I felt like I had made a new group of friends. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I now look forward to seeing them for my cleanings and routine check ups! This place is legit. Changed my life I tell ya!

While visiting my daughter’s family here, I developed a terrible toothache. We looked in the phone book and found Dr. Hayhurst. Having had some bad experiences with dentist, I was anxious. I found the staff very friendly and extremely accommodating. It turned out I needed a root canal. Dr. Hayhurst reassured me I would feel nothing. He made sure I didn’t. First and foremost, the office itself is SO nice. They always have an essential oil diffuser going which makes it smell so nice. And the staff is AMAZING. I’ve never been so pleased with a dental office before. Dental visits have long been a source of fear and loathing–but not any more. The professional staff, patient-focused care, and qualiy of services are all top-notch!, I can honestly say that I no longer dread trips to the dentist! At 63 years old, I have hated my teeth forever but traditional braces were never the right solution. Dr Hayhurst suggested Invisilign and, even though it took me several years to decide to go for it, I’m so glad I did. Seems like now my only regret is that I didn’t do it years ago! When our family moved to the Boise area 3 years ago, we faced the difficult task of finding a new dentist. One of our friends recommended Dr. Hayhurst, so we decided to pay him a visit. We found him and his staff to be courteous and professional. We made an appointment for our family to see Dr. Hayhurst. He took the time to visit with each of us about our oral health and took the necessary steps to see that all of our needs were met. We have 4 children with ages ranging from 3 to 13 and they all had a positive experience as well. I have avoided the dentist for 2 years. After hearing about a positive experience with Dr. Hayhurst and his staff from someone I trust, I decided to make an appointment. Best Dentist experience I’ve ever had! From the moment I walked in the door I was impressed with everything about this place. The office was warm and welcoming. Since they share the building with a spa, the office was scented with a fresh smell rather than the cold sterile smell of a normal dentist office. The front office reception was quick and friendly. Each exam room is equipped with headphones as well as a ceiling television so that you can simply listen to that rather than the cleaning instruments which makes for a much more pleasant experience. The hygienist was thorough, gentle and went over with me the spots I needed to take better care of. Scott Hayhurst had a great bedside manner. He went over all of my problem areas and gave me options to treat them without guilting me into making any immediate decisions. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a great dentist.
