Today with my dentist out of town, I visited Dr. Chung about pain I was suffering from a procedure done six days ago by my now absent dentist. I was disgruntled because, when I complained about pain two days following the procedure, my dentist’s assistant minimized my suffering and told me that the pain would go away in two or three days. It didn’t. Dr. Chung calmed me, diagnosed the source of my pain, carefully explained the rationale behind the treatment he prescribed, and prognosticated about the length of time it would take for my mouth to heal. Dr Chung just completed 10 crowns in a row for me after a botched veneer attempt by a Mexican dentist. The crowns are beautiful, and flossing them is just right, no snags, not too tight or too loose. Two of the crowns were molar replacements, which the Mexican dentist had also replaced just 6 months earlier, because that dentist had made them too short for a good bite. Turned out that dentist had also left decay and leaky temporary filler underneath one of them, probably too afraid of causing a need for a root canal. Dr Chung was thankfully able to remove it all, before replacing the crown. If you want it done well and right, I’d recommend Dr Chung. And beware of Mexican dentists.

Dr. Chung has clearly built a very thriving practice and I’ve appreciated my many interactions and consultations with him. For the last year and a half I’ve been working with Dr. Rusty Johnson, duel-trained in prosthodontics and periodontics. I’ve been very impressed with his attention to detail, communication, skill and commitment as I’ve undergone extensive restorative and cosmetic work following orthographic surgery and orthodontia. Dr. Johnson has gone above and beyond in countless ways, ensuring I am comfortable during long appointments to communicating clearly what to expect and asking detailed questions to ensure I get the aesthetic outcome I want. It was a little nerve wracking for me to commit to the full treatment plan, knowing that it would be a long timeline complicated by work and travel. Dr. Johnson put me at ease from the start, though, through crown lengthening, replacing several old crowns and putting veneers on several teeth. As tends to be the case with dental work, occasionally a temp would pop due to me chewing something I shouldn’t have. Dr. Johnson and the friendly office staff would always make time to squeeze me in, even when it meant coming in early or staying late on a couple of occasions when I was only in town for a day. They NEVER left me hanging and I always felt like a priority even though I know they have lots of patients. Extensive dental work can be scary. Dr. Johnson makes it a collaborative process, shows genuine interest in his patients and, most importantly, incredible skill and attention to detail. I’m so glad I have a functional bite, a smile that I love and happy healthy gums. Yay!! Thank you Seattle Implant and Prosthetic Dentistry!!

Providing Excellence in Prosthetic Dentistry and the new and exciting field of Dental Implants From a single implant to complex full mouth rehabilitation, Chung implant and prosthetic dentistry offers you the true extraordinary service and dental care. Dr. Will Eunku Chung earned his doctor of dental surgery degree from prestigious Seoul National University College of Dentistry. After a few years of working as a general practitioner, he decided to focus on the subject of his interest; Restorative, Implant and Prosthetic dentistry. He came to Seattle, and completed his specialty certificate in prosthodontics and master of science in dentistry degree at the University of Washington Graduate Prosthodontics Program. During more than 3 years of his specialty training, he was trained for dental implants both surgically and prosthetically. He was a full time assistant professor at the University of Texas Houston Dental Branch until early 2009. He led the team of specialists/professors including an orthodontist, periodontist, and oral surgeon to treat patients with congenital deformities such as ectodermal dysplasia or incontinentia pigmenti. Currently, he serves as an affiliate assistant professor to the University of Washington Graduate Prosthodontic program. He has spoken on multiple subjects in implant and prosthetic dentistry nationally and internationally to dental professionals and students. He is also serving as an outside expert reviewer for the implant journal, International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants. Dr. Chung is also a compassionate dentist. He believes that what he enjoys today in his life are gifts from the community and loves to give back. He has been volunteering with Medical Teams International treating referred patients for surgical extractions over the weekend time. He was directly involved in denture projects for tent city people as well. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family; wife, Sooyoung, and two sons, James Wooje and Keith Woojin.
