Been coming to this office for years but felt compelled to write a review after my most recent visit. Came into this office during COVID and they seem to really have a great grasp on things! From reaching out prior to my appointment to make sure I didn’t have any symptoms and/or recent travel to taking my temperature in the office I really felt taken care of. They space out the appointments so that it was just me in their lobby checking in and out. During my appointment the cleaning was really easy going and at no time did I ever feel reprimanded for not flossing every day. I have seen both doctor and each of them are great! I would recommend any and all of my family and friends to Seattle Smiles Dental!

I have been a patient at Seattle Smiles for over two years, and my experiences have been so consistently great that I felt compelled to acknowledge the team there in a review. Over the past two years, I’ve had regular cleanings, an emergency crown, a complete Invisalign treatment, whitening, and probably at least one other thing I’m forgetting – the team at Seattle Smiles is always a pleasure to interact with. Dr. Nguyen is professional and personable and put me at ease right away, as did her assistant Josie. They both are really great. I appreciate how thorough Dr. Nguyen is at explaining what’s going on and what the options are. I also feel like she and the team advocate for me with my terrible insurance company. Alison is an amazing dental hygienist and makes me not dread having my teeth cleaned. I don’t know if it’s possible to actually enjoy a cleaning, but this is probably as close as you can get! I also had a great experience with Dr. Asmeret, who saw me for a time sensitive appointment on a day that Dr. Nguyen was out. Whomever I see, I feel like the experience is always seamless, which is a testament to how well the team works together. And finally, a special shout out to Brittany, who manages the front office. I really appreciate that I can book appointments and ask questions via email, and Brittany is super responsive and friendly with her correspondence. This office is good vibes all the way around. Oh, and the office itself – the design is neutral, professional, and welcoming. Beyond having a good experience at my appointments, I feel like my teeth and smile look their best under the care of this team. Win/win! Thank you, Seattle Smiles!

Best Experience Ever – Set aside the fact that this is a dental office, this was a client experience. From walking in the door, sitting the chair, (which has the best view in Seattle) and leaving, the experience was world class. This starts with a foundation of service. The entire staff is rowing in the same direction. You can tell people there are genuinely pleased to be there. You felt heard and seen as a patient. They listened with empathy and were willing to take time to educate. I never felt rushed or pushed out so they could get to their next appointment. Office hours, they are responsive! I had to email with some follow up questions and they responded quickly! Brittney at the front desk and Dr. Jenny Nguyen were fast to respond to post-op Q/A and even followed up to ensure I had everything taken care of. Dr. Jenny Nguyen is an amazing Dr. and brings a human element to her work. She’s truly build a world-class team. This please was above and beyond any other dental office. Try this place out. You won’t regret it.

I had my first visit with Dr. Nguyen today. What a fantastic experience! She was very thorough yet also very gentle. She was great to talk with, she explained everything very thoroughly and made sure that I was comfortable. As an unexpected bonus, she even taught me a new way to floss. My teeth look and feel great.

I had a very good experience at this practice. Dr. Nguyen is very personable and friendly, as is the rest of the staff. She spent more time with me than I’ve ever experienced at another practice and went through all of the specifics of my x-rays with me. The front office coordinator Brittany was wonderful! The office is on the 12th floor of their building and having had a recent bad experience on elevators she was incredibly accommodating to me and even came down to the lobby to escort me up so I wouldn’t have to ride the elevator up alone. I was so appreciative. Before my next appointment, I was even called the morning of to see if I would like assistance again getting up to the office. The entire staff is amazing with their customer service!

I’m very picky and over the years I’ve been to several dentists in the Downtown Seattle area. I recently switched to Seattle Smiles Dental and they are amazing. I highly recommend this practice! It was easy to get an appointment quickly. As a new patient, my first visit was scheduled for 90 minutes. They sent me paperwork ahead of time and I was able to fill it out electronically (Yay!). They also made arrangements to get my records from my last dentist (which is the first time anyone has bothered to do that). The exam included digital x-rays and digital photographs (with a tiny camera), which were super high tech and cool to look at. I really like my dentist, Dr. Jenny Nguyen (sounds like “win”). She did a great job of explaining things to me and she spent a lot of time answering all of my questions. Dr. Nguyen focuses on preventive care, early detection, and conservative dental treatments, which is an approach I fully agree with (and the reason why I left my last dentist). Everyone who works in this office is pretty awesome. So far I’ve met Anna and Josie. I get really nervous sometimes, but both of them are really sweet and keep me calm. They explain what they are doing and they always check on me to make sure that I am OK. Brittany works at the front desk and she is very nice, super organized, and a pro at interpreting insurance benefits. She sends me an e-mail reminder before each appointment, which is really helpful.

I came in for a cleaning last week and received the most thorough cleaning of my life. I knew I had plenty of stains between all of my teeth. When I got home I stood in front of the mirror and marveled. I couldn’t see a spot anywhere! My teeth have never been cleaner in my life. I was so thrilled I called the office back to get the name of the young woman who did such a great job so I could mention her by name. Thank you Ashley! I would strongly recommended her and everyone else at Seattle Smiles to anyone.

So happy I found this place! I’ve had dentists in the past who were personable but didn’t do great work. I’ve also had dentists who weren’t personable but did great work. Thankfully, Dr. Nguyen is personable AND does great work! She actually takes the time to explain things to you and always asks if you have any questions. I had the misfortune of needing six filings replaced, but Dr. Nguyen had printed a helpful diagram to show me exactly which teeth had what problems. I never felt like she was in a rush with me, which is a huge bonus these days. On a side note, she’s a fantastic outdoor photographer. which I can appreciate as a hiker myself. So maybe I’m a little biased 🙂 Top notch – thanks yelpers!

This place is great. Dr. Nguyen has a great bedside (chairside?) manner; she is friendly and easy to connect with, but also professional and extremely knowledgeable about teeth. She really takes the time to go through everything she is seeing about your teeth with you; looking at x-rays and pictures with you, and clearly explaining what she sees. Any extra treatment (fillings, etc.) she recommends clearly explains why she thinks it is something you should do; she doesn’t seem to recommend unnecessary things to do. The dental hygienist, Alison, is kind and exudes a sense of calmness and peacefulness. She made me laugh multiple times while she skillfully cleaned my teeth. Also, the office coordinator/person who takes care of insurance, Marilyn, is awesome. She totally knows her stuff about insurance and really makes sure everything gets billed properly. Having had a lot of mistakes made with insurance billing, I really appreciate this! She also let me know exactly how insurance would pay for a filling, and how they were going to go about billing it, which I really appreciated. Finally, their office has an awesome view of the Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains. Can’t think of a better place to be for a dentist! And they’re easily accessible by bus from the transit tunnels. I’m really happy with this place as my regular dentist.

Dr.Nguyen is very thorough in her examination and explains every step.  You will feel more educated and happy about your smile.  The staff is nice.  The office is clean and has a wonderful view of the water.  Their technology is not as high tech as others – no tv or tv to watch your dentist in action.  However, you are armed and educated about your teeth.

I can not get over how kind this office is! Dr. Nguyen is so informative and makes me WANT to go into her office! I love her advice, her knowledge, and her confidence in the work she does! Alison is who I had for a cleaning, she made me feel relaxed and actually told me a little about her time in Hygiene school. I was laughing so hard I cried! All the ladies here are wonderful! I’ll be back in the spring for some pearly whites! 🙂

I am pleased to give the first review for this business. Going to the dentist is the hardest thing for me to do. But The office at Seattle Smiles made it all so much easier. The friendliness and understanding is top notch. Dr Nguyens chair side manner is amazing and something you rarely see in a dental office. I highly recommend Seattle Smiles to anyone looking for personalized service and an overall great dental experience.

My dentist of 30 years retired and I was not looking forward to getting accustomed to a new dentist. Dr. Nguyen took over his practice, and my first visit was wonderful. She reviewed my medical and dental history, did an exam and even performed the routine cleaning and polishing herself, which made me feel like she had a thorough understanding of what’s up in my mouth. She also answered my questions fully, and provided the information I needed to decide on some future possible treatments.

I started going to Seattle Smiles a couple of weeks ago after changing from a long-time relationship with another office that stopped taking my insurance. At best, I expected to have a similar experience between the two, as I was happy with my old provider. Seattle Smiles has really impressed me in this time. I’ve been in several times – thanks to some fun cavity action that needs help – and have found each member of the staff’s knowledge and execution to be top-notch. Beyond providing great oral health care, each member of the team seems to care about my experience; they explain what they’re doing, why, what I can expect it to feel like, and about how long it should take. Where possible, the team has described alternate forms of treatment available to me, and helped me make an informed decision between the options (so far I’ve stuck with their first preference each time; I’m no expert). Throughout these discussions, they pause consistently to leave room for my questions and input. The people I’ve worked with are friendly and efficient. I’m an operations manager by training and was surprised to find the office running like a well-oiled machine: as soon as I get in the chair, the flow of activity is smooth and organized despite the participation of up to 3 or 4 different people. As soon as one person explains what will happen next and who will do it, that second person arrives to take over. At the end of my first appointment, Brittany at the front desk took the time to walk through the treatment recommendations, describe how my insurance plan worked relative to each one, set appointments at intervals that worked for me, and answer my questions throughout. Execution this seamless takes a lot of effort behind the scenes, and it’s clear that this team is committed to making it look easy. I’m super impressed so far with Seattle Smiles, and I think you will be too.

From start to finish I genuinely enjoyed my experience at Seattle Smiles. The staff is super friendly and always willing to go above and beyond to provide quality service to their patience. Scheduling appointments is easy, rescheduling is possible, and the warm greeting when you walk in the door is greatly appreciated! I personally enjoy the beautiful views of the city from the dental chair and the top notch service provided by Dr. Nguyen and her crew. I would TOTALLY suggest this office for anyone looking for a clean office that is customer friendly and on point with their service. 😀

Great care. I’ve been seeing Dr. Jenny Nguyen for the past 8 months or so, and have seen her twice for cleanings and twice for fillings. She is very careful to explain everything so that I’m comfortable with all of the processes. She also taught me how to floss and angle my toothbrush correctly – this has greatly improved the way my teeth and gums feel on a day-to-day basis! Highly reccommend Seattle Smiles Dental if you’re looking for convenient care close to downtown.

I agree with all the posters above. Dr. Nguyen is the best dentist that I have ever seen. Before she relocated to WA she was my primary dentist. It is now close to two years later and I am still in the process of trying to find a new dentist with her qualities, but have not had much luck so far. The dental work she does and her chair-side manner are outstanding. Dr. Nguyen is a wonderful person to deal with and an outstanding dentist. Washington should consider itself lucky to have a dental professional of her caliber. If it wasn’t such a long drive I’d still be seeing her for my dental needs 🙂

This dentist office is everything you could want. I’ve been going here a couple years now and I’ve referred my sister here too. So much female energy – a different and refreshing feeling. You really feel taken care of. The entire staff as of this writing happens to be women. Drs. Nguyen and Tesfahun are so nice. They defy the “weird dentist” stereotype, and don’t ever push you to get invasive stuff done. They seem to be very on top of the latest tech and research. I forgot my tech’s name but I’ve had her a few times too and she’s really nice, even though I’m not always feeling chatty at the dentist. Brittany at the front desk is… wow, I wish there was a brittany at every dr.’s office. She’s prompt and organized and friendly, and you always know ahead of time how much things are going to cost with your insurance. She’ll even come to your chair to give you that info if you’re getting a spur-of-the-moment procedure done of any sort (flouride, x rays, etc). You don’t have to ask!

Dr. Nguyen is amazing! I have had a long fear of dentists and when I had an emergency I explained that to her. She took the time to explain things with me and made me really comfortable. She does so in a way that makes me feel good. The staff are also amazing and I love the personalized experience! Highly recommend to anyone!

I have been avoiding getting some important dental work done because I didn’t really care for my previous dentist office. One of the things I didn’t care for at my old place (and I find at many dentists offices) is that the office assistants have attitude, are very young, and not totally professional. I decided to try this place out. From the initial phone call to make a new patient appointment, I felt so comfortable and warm. The person on the phone was so amazingly nice and inviting. It reminded me of talking to my mom, which I love. It was also the polar opposite of what you usually run into when talking to a dentist office staff. The whole staff is so amazing. Dr. Nguyen is by far the best dentist I have seen. She talks to be about everything to make sure I understand everything going on and tries to prevent having to do expensive dental work. I also love that they offer a payment plan (max three payments) without having to ask for one. The kindness, non-judgmental environment, and financing optionsis unusual for many detnal offices but makes Seattle SMiles Dental the crème de la crème of dental offices.

Just got back to work after my first appointment at Seattle Smiles and am very happy with the experience, from their front desk staff on back! I’d delayed going to the dentist for 5+ months after moving to Seattle, just because I was hesitant about starting with a new dentist with just Yelp to guide me. However, I’m glad I did! Alison was my dental assistant and I honestly enjoyed my time with her! Did a great job cleaning my teeth and explaining things as we went, including what each tool was for and how it would be used, which I’ve never had a dentist do before! She also did a great job reading my x-rays–Dr. Nguyen confirmed all of her diagnoses (need to have some childhood fillings replaced). Dr. Nguyen was also great–very friendly and professional and clearly explained what needed to be done. Even the billing was explained very clearly! By the time I left, they’d already printed out an estimate for my specific costs for my fillings, given my insurance benefits. To top it off, the office has a great view of the sound, so you get a beautiful view from the chairs while they’re working on you!

I’ve never reviewed a health care provider before, but I’m inspired to write since I’ve been very pleased with my dental care from Dr. Jenny Nguyen. I’ve visited the office for two regular cleanings and two fillings. She is very careful to explain everything her and her staff are doing to make sure I feel comfortable and understand the processes. She taught me how to properly floss and angle my toothbrush – these small things have made a big difference in how my teeth and gums feel day-to-day. Highly reccommend her if you need care in the downtown Seattle area.

I’ve gone here a couple times now. Dr. Nguyen is very passionate about her work and takes the time to explain what I need to know about my teeth. She is very intelligent and takes genuine care of her patients (she is the owner after all). Her hygienists are also very warm and took great care of my teeth. I thought it was nice that they have the same hygienist clean your teeth from your previous visit so I didn’t feel like another patient. The place is very clean and has a nice view too. I hate going to the dentist but they made it a pleasant experience.
