I’ve always hated going to the dentist, but Seattle Sound Dental is friendly, painless, and efficient. I no longer hate going to the dentist. Dr. Tanner and all of the Seattle Sound Dental are amazing. My most recent experience was with Amy, Leeann, and Radmilla. All of the staff I interacted with was polite and friendly, which makes me as a patient relax. I was greeted by name when entering, and the staff remembered me from my past appointments. The staff gives good advice, enough so that I took their previous advice and my teeth and gums had progress from the previous year 🙂 Scheduling the appointment was easy, I set up an appointment online and had a call the following today confirming the date. I was able to get an appointment scheduled almost immediately. The staff followed great COVID practices. There was hand sanitizer when I walked in; my temperature was taken when I walked in; I rinsed my mouth with something to kill bacteria; and all of the staff was wearing masks. I appreciate all of that. I’ve had experience with Seattle Sound Dental in the past with deep cleanings and cavity fillings — those appointments were quick and painless as well. I recommend this place, I personally have only had positive experiences.

I have been a patient of Dr Tanner (and Seattle Sound Dental) for several years now. I have had a number of dentists, but NEVER have I had a dentist who is such a strong advocate for his patients. Dr Tanner has handled emergency calls outside of normal hours, even going so far as to call emergency offices when he wasn’t around, or texting to make sure I am doing so far. As if that wasn’t enough, he is THE most pain-free dentist I have ever had, which is an incredibly important thing for me. I didn’t even think it was possible for Novocain injections to be painless, but most of them are, somehow! I became a client before I moved out of Seattle, but I remained a patient — he is absolutely worth the drive. I’d drive to him from Oregon if I needed to. His office staff are absolutely top notch as well. Friendly, considerate, and also do fantastic work. I have zero complaints about Seattle Sound Dental; I will be a patient as long as I have teeth, which thanks to their care will be a long time.

Went very well yesterday when I went in to have 3 cavities filled. They were good about not shooting air at my teeth which hurts because they are sensitive. And the work was done in 30-45 minutes, the drilling and numbing was kept to a minimum. I was a client of the previous dentist, Dr Kahn, she and Dr Tanner both do good work, I plan to keep coming back.

Evan O. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

Dr. Tanner and the staff at SSD did a great job helping me understand my insurance, completing preventative work without pain, and putting me in touch with other specialists. I didn’t feel pressured to sign up for any unneeded dental work as well – that’s been one of my past complaints with other dentistry offices. Would recommend.

Dr. Tanner and his staff are amazing! I have never had a teeth cleaning in the past that didn’t hurt because of my sensitive gums from my teeth receding. Not until now. On top of it, I didn’t even need gas for my cavity, no pain. Dr. Tanner is very concise, gentle, and very detailed. I’m very happy I’ve taken the plunge in changing dentists. I’m finally happy with my teeth for the first time in nearly 20’years.

As a transplant, it’s an intimidating guessing game to choose new medical professionals in a new city, so I chose Dr. Tanner based on the convenience of the office location (unbeatable for anybody who works in the downtown corridor). Safe to say, I’ll be coming back for all dentistry work based on the amazing service provided, as well as the incredibly welcoming and friendly environment!

Seattle Sound Dental is the best practice you can possibly imagine! The office is clean and bright. The people at the front desk know most of their patients on a first name basis. I first had a cleaning and general check-up. The dental hygienist Radmilla was very friendly and cleaned my teeth better than ever before. Nick Tanner came in later and was also super friendly. I asked if I could have my wisdom teeth taken out that week possibly and they scheduled me for a few days later even though they were all booked up! I came into the office again for my wisdom teeth removal and Leeann was super friendly and comforting since I was nervous. The extraction itself took around 5 minutes and I didn’t feel a thing. Leeann forgot to give me the gauze at the office so she called me and brought me the gauze herself. Throughout the weekend, I never felt any pain, my mouth was just sore. Fast forward to FSA problems. Discover had denied my claim because they misunderstood my paperwork. I came in and Stephanie the Practice Manager talked to them on the phone, printed out a bunch of additional paperwork, hand wrote a bunch of things, and told me if it doesn’t work, she’ll be checking in with my insurance every week to see if they can do anything to help my claim. The additional paperwork she gave me did in fact work and because of that, I don’t have to pay the $400 out of pocket! So to say Seattle Sound Dental goes above and beyond to make you happy is an understatement. They truly might be one of the best dental practices in America!

I’ve really enjoyed my experience as a patient here so far. The office staff is very friendly and is good about reminders and scheduling. The location is close to many bus lines and the office space has a nice view and is maintained well. The hygienists have all been polite and do a great job. Dr. T is one of the best dentists I’ve had. He does a nice job explaining what he’s doing and is nonjudgmental. Overall I’m glad I found SSD, and I would recommend it!

I would like to say that my experience is been Great from the staff to the Dentist Dr. Tanner . Always be happy be treated by Dr. Tanner . Hello! Dr Khan is gone. ***Tears****. But Dr. Nick Tanner is just as great! I love that he kept the same staff. All the gals there are absolutely wonderful! Service is always good and even if I’m having a bad day, or they tell me I have new cavities, I still end up leaving happy. I can ask and tell them anything! Even though I will truly miss chatting with Dr. Khan about our ig crushes (we both follow Canadian Prime minister Justin Trudeau & France President Emmanuel Macron), it so far has been a smooth transition and all the staff seem to be enjoying it as well.

One word..AMAZING! I mean who likes to go to the dentist right? You will, after going to this office!! I actually look forward to coming here! Everyone in this office is so helpful and informative. Dr. Tanner and his staff, treat you as if you were a part of their family! I appreciate and trust this group of people. I have no problem putting my teeth in their hands, and you shouldn’t either!

This is probably the best dentist I have ever been to. I’ve been to several dentists who just go through the motions to get you in and out, but the people at Seattle Sound Dental seem to really care about your well-being and treat you like a person, rather than a means to make a buck. They are thorough with their care, up front about potential costs, and gentle with your mouth. Even if I move out of the downtown area, I will still make the trip to come here for my dental care. They are great.

I have been going to female dentist for the past 20 yrs. due to a fearful experiences growing up. I was apprehensive about seeing a new dentist and wasn’t sure about having a male dentist. After today – my negative experience with having a male dentist is not longer! During my exam, Dr. Nick Tanner identified that I needed a filling replaced. He provided me a thorough (easy to understand) explanation and showed me a picture of it. As he knew I was apprehensive and nervous about getting it replaced he offered me an evening appointment and I was able to get it done later that day. For my evening appointment, I let Dr. Tanner & Leeann know of my anxiety around the procedure and explained about my past experience. They both asked how they can help me through it. They supported me every step of the way. They were awesome – I plugged in and it was done in no time. I am really glad to see Seattle Sound Dental continues to have such a great supportive team!

I was so lucky to have the same dentist for 30 years, his entire period practicing, and a personal friend. But when he retired, I was lost. I tried continuing with the dentist who purchased my friend’s practice but I did not have confidence in him. Luckily for me, my friend’s dental assistant moved to Dr. Tanner and reached out to me. After 2 years without a dentist, I am now so relieved to count Dr. Nick and crew as my new go-to and that’s because Amy reached out to introduce me to Seattle Sound Dental. I was there today for 3 hours and felt confident I was getting the very best treatment possible. Can’t recommend highly enough!

The staff, and Dr. Tanner are the best! I’ve been a patient at SeattleSound Dental for at least 4 yrs, and have been extremely satisfied with their professionalism, willingness to work with my schedule, compassion, kindness, and best of all their fun attitude. I look forward to my appointments because I know I will always laugh, never feel pain. Dr. Tanner is the best dentist, and his staff is phenomenal. I highly reccomend Seattle Sound Dental!!!

I had a great experience at Dr Tanner’s office! Everyone was very welcoming as soon as I stepped into the office. The hygienist Rachel was amazing! She gave me the best cleaning I have ever had in my entire life! I’m not exaggerating. She was very gentle and thorough, and gave me a numbing gel that helped with my sensitivity making the whole cleaning a pleasant experience.

I chose this location to get my teeth checked as it is available for my Premera Blue Cross insurance and offers hours after my weekday work schedule. Upon filling out the paperwork online, I was given a call to schedule an appointment the day after. It was much faster than I expected, but I am grateful for the quick availability. When I arrived at the office, I was already set to get my X-rays and teeth cleaned. The staff took all of the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of Covid-19 by checking temperature upon arrival, sanitizing the lobby and equipment, as well as having air purifiers in the operating rooms. After the evaluation of the first appointment, I was scheduled for another appointment the following week to get some fillings. Dr. Tanner made the process very seamless and the it felt more relaxing than my visits from previous dentists. I would highly recommend Seattle Sound Dental as it is in an ideal location in downtown Seattle and has later open hours than most other locations.

Fantastic service and treatment! Dr. Nick Tanner and all of his staff members are proactive in all activities from scheduling to recommendation to final treatment. My most recent visit was for cleaning + fillings and both were thoroughly done. Dr. Nick told me to come back if I feel any imbalance in jaw after the anesthesia wears out but the fillings were done so meticulously that my jaw is in perfect balance. Highly recommended.

Leanna K. from Kirkland, WA (Source: Yelp)

Dr. Nick & his staff are like family! Friendly greetings upon arrival, super comfortable waiting area that you spend little time in, unbelievable views (10th floor) of the Monorail, Amazon corporate center & more! Treatments are pain free (I know, that’s a surprise at the dentist) & they are on time!!! I’ve moved out of the area & still drive into Seattle to see them!

Sonny S. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

Another great visit to Seattle Sound Dental! Dr Nick Tanner acquired the business a little while ago, so I was a little apprehensive going for my regular cleaning.  Needless to say, the excellent service that I came to expect from Seattle Sound Dental has continued with Dr Tanner’s arrival. Both the doctor and hygienist were very thorough and personable, so I highly recommend to anyone who is a little unsure of dentists in general. Front office staff were able to work with my inflexible calendar to find appointments that suited my needs, which I appreciated. The great thing about Seattle Sound Dental is the location, easy to walk to from anywhere in Downtown Seattle, so can easily fit a visit in to my busy work schedule.

My experience was great! I honestly hadn’t been to the dentist in years from lack of insurance. The staff was incredibly friendly, great service, and kept me very informed and educated me throughout the whole process. I left feeling very informed and that all charges and suggested treatments were transparent. Would highly recommend!!

I have been going to Dr. Tanner’s for awhile now and each time it has been great. Dr. Tanner and his staff are really nice and make it welcoming. The hygienist that I see does a awesome job when I go in for cleanings as well. Highly recommend this place for anyone who would like to get their teeth cleaned/fixed where they won’t feel rushed or uncomfortable as I know that this team will take their time with you and answer any questions you may have. Overall, it has been a wonderful experience with them!

Amy M. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

Dr. Tanner and the team here are exceptional. My appointments are always on time and they listen. I explained I didn’t like to be overly-numbed and he spent extra time to just numb what was necessary and ensure I was still comfortable throughout. The crown they did for me recently is a perfect fit, had little to no sensitivity, and looks more real than any other I’ve had done. The whole team is kind, meticulous, and efficient. Highly recommended.

Sergei S. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

Nick Tanner and his team are great. I came in for a teeth cleaning and after thorough cleaning he showed me some cavities on digital x-rays, I appreciated them walking me through the scans and identifying the danger areas so I didn’t feel like they were just making them up. I was back a few weeks later to get the cavities filled and it was as quick and painless as the process could be. Highly recommended!

George W. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

I have been a patient at Seattle Sound Dental for several years. I came in very wounded. Basically I was “toothless in Seattle”. Initially Dr Sarah Khan set out a plan for me on which I could recover. I am a very social person and involved in the local art scene dealing with wealthy collectors, art openings and I just had a real challenge with my smile. It was pitiful. Along came Dr. Mark Tanner and he took over with my new smile. I now have upper and lower teeth (dentures) which now just “snap into” my upper mouth and lower jaw. They are natural looking, white and completely comfortable. I have to remind myself that I even had a problem in the first place. I am totally happy with my smile, eating abilities, comfort and hygiene. It is all just a complete revolution in my favor. Go get “snapped up” by Dr. Tanner and his amazing team; you will be forever grateful. I am! George W.

I had been looking for a dentist for a couple of years, with no luck. I had been going to Haborview due to the fact that I kept getting infections in my mouth. I’ve tried many dentist, but because I don’t stay numb, I was informed that I was a dentist worse nightmare, so no dentist wanted to touch me. I received another referral, this time to see Dr. Tanner. I went in thinking he was going to be just like the other dentists.. see me, explain why he’s not willingi to do anything like the others. Boy was I wrong. I walked into his office and was greeted by name from the receptionist Joanna. Not to long after that, I was called to the back to do the basic check in. When Dr Tanner did come in to introduce himself, first thing I thought was.. Wow he looks young, what can he do for me. He looked at my mouth saw and heard about how damaged I was, but decided to take me on anyway. I made another appointment to come back. Had been talking to my insurance people to make sure all was covered. Joanna had been calling to check the same, each time a different answer.. covred, not covered. Day of appointment, I was called back by nurse Leann to do moldings. After conversating with each other.. we found out that we had a lot in common.. medically speaking, but more so.. we we’re fighters in life. Not willing to let our medical issues stop us from enjoying life. Still trying to figure out the insurance.. Dr Tanner walks in and say, don’t even worry about it.. I’m not charging you. Talking about receiving blessings. I couldn’t believe it. I pinched myself.. I’ve never been to this dentist, why was he doing this. Not only did he give me a partial denture for free, but when it didn’t for, he let me come back and he fixed it for free. I don’t normally do referrals, but I couldn’t let this blessing pass without letting everyone how generous, kind and inviting his entire office is. Thank you!!

I am welcomed so kindly every time I’ve come to Dr. Tanner’s office. The front-desk staff is really on top of things! I reside in West Seattle and even the bridge closure won’t stop me from coming here. Once you find a good dentist like Dr. Tanner you value what you’ve found and tell all your friends. P.S. Request Radamilla for your hygienist.

Scheduling, location, close parking, and amazing views are just a few of the things that they have going for them. The warm and knowledgable staff will welcome you to their comfortable and distanced waiting area. I never wait long. The talented Dental Hygienists and Dentals Assistants make you comfortable and maintain spotless equipment and rooms. Dr. Nick is talented, caring, informative and conscious of costs. When I was cold, they even provided a blanket. I actually look forward to my visits to the Dentist.

Soooo happy I finally found a Dentist that I trust & like! I had 3 cavities that needed to be filled… Not fond of shots at all!  My last dentist wasn’t very nice in that department. However, Dr. Nick Tanner was like a  ninja LOL !!!! I seriously didn’t even feel anything! He truly cares! He listens to his patients & their concerns! The staff is really nice too…especially Stephanie! I’m so thankful to have a Dentist & staff that has “my best interest at  ! You guys Rock!

I’ve been here a  couple of times now. The staff is so friendly, the doctor is really personable as well. You will leave here with healthy teeth and might even enjoy the pleasant company! The offices are nice, clean and convenient. Having moved here a year ago, it’s so nice to have quickly found a dentist that I like and trust!

Dr. Nick Tanner, in the Medical-Dental building in downtown Seattle. Is an excellent and outstanding dentist. His dental hygienist with 25-years experience is simply the best. The rest of his team are true professionals. I know I’m in good hands with, Dr. Tanner, and his team.

Dr. Tanner and his staff are the best! Wish I’d found them years ago. They are all top notch, including his dental assistants. I’ve had a fantastic experience with both Rachels in the office. 🙂 Amy at the front desk is great. Overall, you’ll find this is a dentist you can trust and performs quality work. Highly Recommend!!

Dr Tanner is clearly passionate about what he does and that really shows with how many happy clients they have. Dr Tanner and his whole staff have been so kind and accommodating. I am driving all the way from Everett to this office because I’m certain I’ll be in the best hands there. I’ve never had such a warm pleasant dental visit, until my visit with Seattle sound. I get extreme dental anxiety, just talking about the dentist makes me anxious. I let them know how I feel and felt so great leaving and knowing Im going to be in the best hands and they understand how to help someone like me that turns into a big baby at the dentist.
