I brought my son for a consultation with Dr. Seder and was very happy with the amount of time she took to explain different treatment options. She answered all of my questions and made my son and I very comfortable. He is now in treatment and in great hands. Dr. Seder and her staff are friendly and professional! It has been a great experience and I highly recommend Seder Orthodontics.

I have received consistently excellent service from Dr. Seder and her staff at Seder Orthodontics. Getting braces a second time (this time as an adult) wasn’t an exciting prospect for me, necessary though they were. Dr. Seder and her team made the experience a very positive one from start to finish, never once giving me reason to question their competence, professionalism, or commitment to me as a patient. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my orthodontia needs!

If you’re an adult contemplating braces, or a parent searching for your child, I don’t think you’ll find a better place. I was referred to Dr. Seder by my dentist, who couldn’t help with an orthodontic “relapse.” I had braces in my 20s, supplemented by complicated maxillofacial surgery. Headgear at 27? I went through a LOT for perfect teeth, and still use retainers (I’m now 50). So – an out of line tooth in the front, minor as it may be, was simply intolerable. The office is cool and techy, and appeals greatly I imagine to the traditional teenager. The staff is really friendly and, based on my visits, very very capable. While I was anticipating something lengthy and possibly expensive, Dr. Seder modified my retainer a few times to get my tooth back in alignment. Although this was a tiny little job for her, I was treated with the same degree of professionalism and concern that a much greater needs client would have warranted. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

We highly recommend Seder Orthodontics. Dr Seder is committed to excellence and tackles obstacles with confidence and creativity. We had all our kids teeth done with her. When it came to my own orthodontic work I also went with Dr Seder and her team. We are very happy with our results.

‘Dr. Karen Seder and her staff were excellent in my experience. I came to her office after first having braces put on by Webster Dental Care in Lincoln Park. The difference between the two offices was night and day. Her staff worked quickly to help get me in and out and they work with all state-of-the-art equipment. They even have flat screen tvs in the waiting room and service area for patients to watch movies while you wait. Plus there’s video games for kids to play in the waiting room, as well. Her schedule is very flexible for booking and works really well adult patients for night and some weekend appointments. Also, if I had to go on a business trip and my rubber bands were becoming heavily stained from use, she would always make room for an emergency appointment to have the bands replaced so my smile would attract less attention. Overall, a great experience.

Before choosing Seder Orthodontics, I had three other consultations. While one of the three other places seemed like it could work out, my consultation with Seder Orthodontics blew me away!!! I had a very special case from surviving a trauma and Dr. Seder and her staff showed incredible compassion for my situation. And while some of the other orthodontists had doubt about what was possible, Dr. Seder had none. The vibrancy and confidence that she and her staff emanated had me excited for what the future would hold. I knew I had to choose them, and I’m so glad I did. With the use of hardware that she even invented at one point in the treatment, there was never a loss of hope. In no time, she helped me to get the smile and confidence I once had back again. Words cannot express how happy and grateful I am for Seder Orthodontics. And when it came time for my son to need braces due to overcrowding, I chose Dr. Seder once more. She prevented him from losing adult teeth that his dentist was talking about removing after consulting with a different orthodontist. Dr. Seder didn’t want to see that happen and she did what she needed to do to prevent that from having to be done. He is now more than halfway through his treatment with seemingly flawless results. I highly recommend Seder Orthodontics to anyone looking for orthodontic care that is kind, understanding and dedicated to helping them achieve their most beautiful smile ever.
★★★★★
Dr. Seder is amazing! My son’s teeth are perfectly straight after having braces on for 1 year. Dr. Seder was lovely to work with, always fitting us in for anything that came up throughout the process. She is meticulous and does a beautiful job. Her staff is great too. I am bringing my second son to her next. Thank you Dr. Seder!
★★★★★
Dr. Seder and her staff are terrific — highly professional, very patient, and very good at their jobs. I’m an adult who decided to get Invisalign (so not the typical teenage patient). The whole experience was terrific from start to finish. Even when I requested additional sets of trays (being a perfectionist about my bite), Dr. Seder graciously accommodated me. So I recommend her in the strongest terms.

I came to Dr. Seder about 6 months ago since I was concerned about a few of my teeth shifting. I had braces when I was younger but hadn’t worn my retainer in years. I went to another orthodontist in the city a few years back to initially correct this issue, but wasn’t seeing results. Dr. Seder and her staff gave me a few different treatment options during my consultation and ultimately were able to work with a spring retainer I used from my previous orthodontist. I appreciate how upfront they were about costs and length of treatment (both of which were extremely reasonable), and how they didn’t push the expensive Invisalign option. Even though it was a “small job”, I was extremely happy with the level of attention and care I was given from the initial consultation through my final appointment. I couldn’t be happier with how great my teeth look now!
★★★★★
Dr. Seder and her staff are amazing!! I can’t thank her enough for helping me get my confidence back. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I got my metal braces off in a little over a year. The staff was very knowledgeable and always super sweet. If I could give Dr. Seder 10 stars I would!!
★★★★★
I was in Chicago for work and a spring on my top teeth braces popped out while I was there. I stopped by Dr. Karen clinic without an appointment and she couldn’t have been any more helpful. She put the spring back on and tied it down properly so I am ok until I get back to my home town where my orthodontist is. She did all that without any charge. She was very pleasant, ethical and helpful. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an orthodontist that is not after your money.

I did Invisalign with Dr Seder after reading her reviews on Yelp. The office is professionally run and you never see anyone but Dr Seder or one of her small staff of assistants. They are only open Tues-Thurs and I think one Saturday a month so that could be an issue for some people. The office is clean and nice and convenient to Halsted and Fullerton and all the public transit in this area. I felt like there were no hidden fees and the price was fair.

I found Dr Seder through my dentist Dr Phil. (Not the Dr Phil who makes you feel like you are getting your teeth drilled every time you watch…) Dr Seder has been really great. I have had some experience with Orthodontics in the past; braces about 15 years ago and invisible braces about 10. Unfortunately my past to orthodontists never formulated a long-term plan for retention, so my teeth keep shifting. When I walked into Dr Seder’s office I laid it all on the line and told her I really didn’t want to go through this all over again in another 5-10 years. Enough is enough, right?! So she assured me that I would be able to fix my teeth with Invisalign (so I didn’t have to go through actual braces again) and that she would make sure I had a long term solution to my problems. I have had a few little hiccups along the way, none of which were Dr Seder’s doing. She rolls with the punches and has accommodated me in every way. I have now been out of my “braces” for about 4 months and am really happy with the results. I have confidence in knowing that if anything starts to shift (which I doubt it will) all I have to do is call and she will make it right again.
★★★★★
Both my daughter and I chose Dr Seder and company. The staff and Dr Seder could not be more professional and….. actually fun. They get you in and out quickly and as much as possible painlessly. I had Invisalign and have perfect teeth now. My daughter has a little longer road. We highly recommend Dr Seder and staff. Christy handles the admin part she is super nice and knows her way around the insurance piece more than anyone else I know.
★★★★★
Dr. Seder is excellent. She was my “second opinion” ortho, the first told me I needed braces on my bottom teeth for 9 months and $3k. Dr. Karen Seder adjusted my old retainer and checked up on me twice for $75 only. My teeth are awesomely straight now and I have been recommending Dr. Seder to EVERYONE!
★★★★★
I’m just coming to the end of a long stint in braces (I also had oral surgery), and I couldn’t be happier about the care and attention I received throughout from Dr. Seder and her staff–Elizabeth, the office manager, Mandy, Amy and the rest of the gang. I found everybody very efficient, accommodating–for example, if you have to re-schedule etc.–but also super friendly, encouraging, and relaxed. There’s a feeling that everyone gets along very well–echoed in the open plan of the entire reception area, waiting room, etc. They’ve put real effort into decorating; all the DVD bells and whistles, also droll vintage advertisements and photos. Dr. Seder is scrupulous about each and every stage of the braces, but she always remembers to ask how the rest of your life is going (–which I found gratifying, because sometimes I felt as if my braces were taking up way too much room in my life!)
★★★★★
I saw Dr. Seder because my permanent retainer (17-20 years old) fell out. I needed to find someone new in the city that was also affordable and flexible. I was able to get in with in days and got my retainer the same day! Another place I researched told me it would be a 4w turn around for a bonded retainer. I’m so glad I went with Dr. Seder. Her team is efficient and friendly. Maria is really great as well! Both explained everything that they were doing, which I appreciated. I would recommend this team to anyone.
★★★★★
I had fantastic experiences here, and I can’t thank enough for Dr. Seder and her professional staffs! I went here because I had a horrifying experience with the previous general dentist I had with an invisalign work that was getting nowhere to a good result. Dr. Seder answered my questions at the consultations, and was very realistic with her explanations and expectations, so I decided to have braces as an adult for the first time in my life. She was also very reasonable with the pricing as a transfer from invisalign elsewhere. The staffs were very friendly, relaxing and did a wonderful job with my braces, and I really appreciate all of the staffs I had truly cared about being precise with the work not having any brackets or wires fitting smooth so it will not my mouth uncomfortable. They were very patient to listen to any concerns or questions I had and did the best trying to solve them. I got retainers that fits well, with smooth edges. My teeth looks beautiful and it is lasting. I am so happy when I smile now 🙂
★★★★★
I know Dr. Seder several years, couple of ppl i know went there over those years. I become a patient myself last year and I couldn’t be happier. Dr. Seder is super friendly and her staff professional and well trained. Feel very comfortable every time. Yes, it is super busy practice but if you want to see a great doctor is worth the wait. Also the front deck lady is always smiling, seems like they well treated by the doctor. Thank you all! Ania

My two teens have been with Dr. Seder for years and are still going for check ups. Throughout this time she has developed a great relationship with both of them, and treats us all with respect. My third will definitely have to have braces in the near future and I won’t hesitate to go to Seder Orthodontics again.
★★★★★
Dr. Seder is great! Both of my kids have seen her — one has invisalign and Dr. Seder’s treatment has been spot on. Everyone at the practice is very professional and kind. For my other child, Dr. Seder was really honest in her opinion that he doesn’t really need braces or invisalign. We thought it was really refreshing to have a doctor tell us that we didn’t need to have treatment and that any slight cosmetic adjustment was up to us. It just shows how honest she is. We highly recommend Dr. Seder.

I did Invisalign with Dr. Seder 2 years ago, largely influenced by her reviews on Yelp. Since then, I am recommending any and all of my friends/family in the area to her and thought that I’d extend that recommendation to Yelp! Working with Dr. Seder was not only easy (as she was accessible and flexible), but it was also enjoyable. Dr. Seder is super down to earth and it’s obvious that she truly loves her job and appreciates her patients. The entire process of booking appointments is low maintenance as well. Christy, the Office Manager, does an outstanding job of communicating and working with you. She’s also extremely friendly and organized, making for a very pleasant process. While I was extremely hesitant committing to Invisalign as a college student, Dr. Seder made the experience as painless as possible and was a GREAT doctor throughout the process. She was transparent, honest and friendly. When I moved to California, I was sad to leave Dr. Seder but she worked with me to finish out my cycle and was accessible my phone, e-mail, and even went of her way to meet with me while I was back in Chicago for a long weekend. If you’re looking for an ortho who actually cares about you/your specific case, Dr. Seder is my #1 recommendation.

Went in to see Dr. Seder for a consultation after previously seeing someone else for a consultation. I had braces as a teen, but I’ve noticed some shifting and am considering getting braces again. I was told by the other ortho that my only option was some super expensive state of the art technology he was trying to pawn off on me, but Dr. Seder was very thorough and explained that I have a ton of options–all of which would give me the great results I wanted. Both Dr. Seder and her staff were friendly and professional. (If you ever want to feel academically inadequate, take a seat in her office. She has more degrees than she probably knows what to do with! And I have to admit that immediately put me at ease–especially after my last consultation. I knew I was in good hands). I was called back within minutes of checking in and only had to wait a few minutes for Dr. Seder to finish up with her current patient. She was patient and answered all of my questions (I had a ton since I’ll be paying for them myself this time) and she told me to feel free to contact her with any additional questions I might think of in the coming days. I loved that everyone in the office addressed me by first name and made me feel welcomed. You would have thought I had been a patient there for years! Being in her office was a bit nostalgic. It’s a teenage kid’s dream. Video games in the lobby, movies playing on flatscreens and all the boy band celebrity gossip magazines your former BSB fanatic heart can stand. Made me feel young again. Lol. I haven’t yet decided which method of treatment I’m going to use (most likely Invisalign) or when I will start treatment, but I DO know I’ll be using Dr. Seder!
★★★★★
Highly recommend this practice for orthodontia work. My son just finished 14 months of braces. His teeth look fantastic. Dr. Seder provided great, personalized care, explains the entire process from your first consultation and everything moving forward. If I ever had questions following my son’s visits, she would get right back to me. The staff in the office are all very friendly and do their job well. Dr. Seder’s hours work well for anyone in school or work – heavy on the evening hours. My son only had one urgent visit needed during his treatment, and even though the office was supposed to be closed that day for the dental convention, someone came in just to fix my son’s wire. The office is very clean and my kids don’t mind killing time in the waiting room (always a short wait, running on schedule) since there are two video game systems on the wall, plenty of magazines, and a movie showing. While in the chair having work done, there is a tv to watch hanging above you. Parking was easy – street meters. Things went so well, kid #2 starts his treatment next week.

I’m an adult with braces. There, I said it. Not Invisalign, not lingual braces…regular braces. *GASP* Well, I went with ceramic on top because I was initially self-conscious, but I’ve got metal on the bottom baby! At this point, I could care less though. Most people don’t notice them. Then again, supposedly most people didn’t notice the gap in my teeth either, so…..most people are lying or most people are oblivious. Either way, these babies are off in the near future (hopefully!) and I actually smile a hell of a lot more than I ever did before, so they can’t be that bad, right? I’ve wanted braces since I was about 12, except I apparently never let my mother know, so, shame on me. Fast forward 14 years and I decided to just do it. My friends & family liked the gap in my teeth, but I hated it. A good number of people tried to talk me out of it (I guess because they would be embarrassed?), but, I wanted food to get stuck in my teeth just like everyone else!! I wanted gapless teeth, dammit, so I decided to ignore the naysayers who said I shouldn’t do it and find an orthodontist. I found Dr. Seder through a Yelp search and after booking a consultation elsewhere, I thought I’d check her out too. Well, I pretty much knew walking out of here that I wanted to come back, but that wasn’t solidified until I had an awful experience at the other place. I went for a 3rd consultation just to be sure, but in the end, the staff at Seder was the staff I felt most comfortable with. While the hours sometimes seem as though they’re against me, they’re really not. Dr. Seder has later hours to accommodate students without disrupting their schooling. I’m not a parent, but I’m sure parents love not having to take their children out of school early. As far as the staff goes, I love all of them. When I first when in for my x-rays, I notified them of my piercings and instead of being judgmental and rude, they tried to make it as easy on me as possible. It’s probably a good thing I’ve grown up a little (and subsequently removed a number of piercings willingly), but I feel confident that if it was the 23-year-old me (or, whatever age I had 3 tongue piercings), they still wouldn’t care. I don’t have dental insurance and because this is all out-of-pocket, I’ve decided I might as well get something for paying this much (besides straight, gapless teeth, that is) and whenever I forget the credit card I prefer using, Christi always lets me call in the payment. Sure, I could use another card, but I might as well get airline miles, right? I know I’m paying more than I would have elsewhere and I know I’m paying more because I wanted ceramic on top, but I don’t regret anything. I’ve had a relatively painless experience, I’m already smiling ALL THE TIME and time is flying by. The office definitely seems as though its geared toward children, but I know Dr. Seder has a good number of adult clients as well. Unless something goes drastically wrong (which, I don’t know how that’d be possible since my teeth weren’t jacked, they only had a gap), I’ll update again….but a year into braces and I’m almost there!

DePaul parents – this is the place to send your students! My daughter, a freshman, had a broken bottom retainer and I found Dr. Seder by chance. This was my daughter’s first experience of making an apt, finding the office and explaining what she needed all alone – and they were wonderful! It was sure a positive experience and she came out feeling empowered. Could not recommend more!
★★★★★
Dr. Seder was recommended by a co-worker with a child requiring orthodontics – she specializes in pediatric care. Her office is a bit unusual in many respects. It is conveniently located on Lincoln Ave in LP and is underground from a salon. While the entrance and stairs are non-descript, once you pass thru a grey security door the office is quite modern and stimulating – again due to the high traffic in kids. I agree with others’ kudos for Dr. Seder herself and her staff. She admittedly could have put me in an expensive set of braces, but sold me a cool reasonably priced retainer instead. And all within 7 days! Highly recommended for big and little people!
★★★★★
I just completed my course of treatment with Invisalign braces and am very satisfied with the results. Seder Orthodontics helped me every step of the way, and I can recommend them without reservation. Dr. Seder and her staff are very friendly and professional, and I never had a problem getting an appointment. I chose the option where I paid in full upfront and feel that was a good decision — since I had never had to think or worry about paying for any individual service or product.
★★★★★
Well Dr. Carrara (who did my root canal) refereed me to Dr. Seder and I am so glad I listened to Dr. Carrara. I made an appointment for a consultation, and then show up 1 day earlier without realizing it…doh…but Dr. Seder was able to squeeze me in to let me know what needed to be done with my current teeth situation. I followed through and had braces put on. It has been the best thing I have ever done. My teeth are looking great due to Dr. Seder skill. I cannot thank her enough. It does seem like Dr. Seder office does cater to children and young adults, but I find the cartoons and children movie playing on the monitors rather refreshing. Dr. Seder and her staff are very kind, friendly, and really know how to put that nervous feeling in the back of your mind at ease. I did not think i would ever look forward to an office visit but i do. Dr. Seder and her staff make me want to see them. Strange coming from the guy who does not like dentists and doctors in general. All in all I am a extremely satisfied.
