My husband and I were seeing a dentist who did horrible work and never refunded us, we went to see Dr. Omid for help. Dr Omid and her entire office are so professional. Dr. Omid took x-ray and did an exam and let us know everything that was going on, she was very knowledgeable, honest, and gentle. we are never going to another dentist. Dr. Omid also offers sedation for people with mouth pain and anxiety or fear, this is not something offered by most offices

Doctor Shawna Omid is the perfect dentist I have been searching for. I did a lot of research when choosing my doctor, and although there were many options, I went with Doctor Omid because of her strong referrals, advanced technology, strong education background and conveniently located office space.  Her office is located in a medical building near the hospital Little Company of Mary. There is a private parking lot with free parking with validation, so be sure you bring your ticket with you so you can get validated at her front desk. The parking staff seems to be kind and not too strict if you do forget your ticket.  Her staff was very kind and welcomed me when I arrived. The space is very nice and looks like it was newly remodeled. There is coffee and magazines in the waiting space. The doctor was very personable and got to know me as she was treating me. Her assistants were also kind. And although cleanings are never exactly fun, I thought the hygienist did a very thorough job. I’m looking forward to continuing my relationship with Dr. Omid as a patient!

Loved this office and staff went to another office where they quoted me $1100 for an onlay on a tooth that didnt need it. I came to Dr. Omid and she diagnosed all I needed was a filling. I love that she went the old fashioned way and tried to save my tooth that way it still worked and only paid $100/ Love this place and would recommend it to anyone

I have been seeing Dr. Omid for a few years, and I am extremely happy with the care and treatment I receive. Not only is the office staff extremely friendly and professional but it is clear they truly care about the oral health of their patients, not just going through the motions. I always get a comprehensive report after the cleaning along with suggestions on how to maintain “trouble’ areas. I read some of the reviews complaining about too many up sells, I’m not sure people realize that there is more to good oral hygiene than frequent teeth cleaning; often times there are extra measures that need to be taken. It is important to me to develop a good history with my car providers; I am very please with Dr. Omid and her staff and look forward to continuing my dental history wither her office. I also just scheduled an appointment for my 6 year old and 3 year old

Dr. Omid is wonderful .. She makes a serious effort to make my trip to the dentist as comfortable, painless, and enjoyable as possible. She is always smiling and really seems like she is friends with all her patients. Staff is very friendly and helpful they are always ready to help you, By the way, her new office is beautiful it seem like a spa!

I have been going to Dr. Omid’s office for over 5 years and have had everything from the standard cleaning, cavity work and deep cleaning done. They really go out of their way to make you feel at ease because who likes going to the dentist (not many). lol They do a great job of explaining what they are doing and why before and during the process. They are extremely thorough with all of their procedures and I have never had to wait longer than a few minutes to be seen. I highly recommend Dr. Omid’s dental office to my own friends and family.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Shawna Omid since 1995 and I highly recommend her. She is very thorough and patient and the front office staff (Victoria & Vanessa), hygienist (Nooshin), and assistants always answer my questions. The office is very clean and well run. The costs for treatments not covered by my insurance were clearly spelled out and I had the choice to accept or decline. For example, my insurance only pays for cleanings twice a year but due to my condition, I go more often and pay out of pocket. Money well spent. I’d rather get my teeth cleaned and checked often to prevent certain conditions that can be avoided.
I’ve never had to wait more than five minutes to be seen. Recently, Dr. Omid made a generous silent auction donation to a local non-profit organization I volunteer with and the group really appreciated her kind support.

I have been a patient of Dr. Omid for quite some time now. She has replaced all of my old fillings from when I was a child. Her work is meticulous and artistic. Her staff is courteous and professional. Her prices are reasonable. I feel comfortable in her office as the environment is very relaxing. I would strongly recommend Dr. Omid’s dental practice to anyone seeking professional and ethical care.

Dr. Shawna Omid is an excellent dentist, to say the least. I have been her patient for 10+ years now and I am totally, 100% satisfied with the services and dental care that Dr. Omid and her staff have provided for me. In fact, I often refer people I know to Dr. Omid; here are a few reasons why: 1. Quality dental care is important for me. I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect–and that’s exactly how Dr. Omid and her staff treat me each and every single time I enter her facility. 2. I never get stuck waiting in the waiting room. If my appointment is at 3:30 that means 3:30. 3. Dr. Omid meets the needs of her patients in a variety of ways. For example, she offers aroma therapy if you’re feeling panicked or anxious. She has T.V. glasses and T.V. monitors to watch during longer visits (and you can choose from a variety of movies). She recently purchased a device that helps distract you from the pain of getting a shot in your mouth, and it works! 4. Dr. Omid and her staff have gentle hands, work quickly, and are extremely knowledgeable. 5. Lastly, Dr. Omid and her staff have educated me on the importance of having healthy teeth and gums without making me feels dumb or embarrassed. Dr. Shawna Omid is an amazing dentist. I highly recommend her for any dentistry work you may need.

Highly recommended, very professional Doctor very curious, staff is really professional too. Very friendly, no one tried to upset. another big thing for me was the wait time in the reception area wasnt too long. This is a biggie for me. Staff kept informing me on how much longer i would be waiting and looked out for my needs

I’ve been meaning to share my husband’s and my experience dealing with Dr. Omid’s office for our dental care needs, but didn’t have a chance to do so. We’ve been Dr. Omid’s patients for almost 3 years now.  The minute you walk in, you feel the calmness because of their beautifully decorated and equipment rooms. You would normally be greeted by Vitoria and / or Vanessa.  They’re both great and very accommodating….All their Dental Assistants have been very helpful, kind and supportive. I love Dr. Omid because she’s firm and honest. She is telling it as it is, even though, your teeth, gum etc conditions are bad and hard to swallow, she always has a diligent solution.  Their dental hygienist (sorry, I forgot her name), is equally nice, firm and thorough.  She always has good recommendations for healthier dental hygiene.  Most people are scared to visit a dentist office, Dr. Omid’s office is the opposite, they all work in concert to make you comfortable and calm.  Without any hesitation, Dr. Omid has been the best dental office I’ve ever visited in my life. Friendly staff. Dr Omid is concerned with your overall teeth health and appearance. ..not selling you unneeded products. Very considerate of her patients comfort level and pain tolerance. She takes her time and doesn’t rush her work. Her office uses innovative technology and tools…I especially appreciate the vibrating dental injection and the soothing aromatherapy cloths. She took me along every step of my care, advised me of my options and made her recommendations. Would highly recommend this office.

Excellent doctor! Very polite, caring, and knowledgeable. She took her time to explain my situation. No complaints there. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because my appointment was at 4:00 but I wasn’t called in until 4:45. I wouldn’t mind 5-10 minutes of delay, but I don’t like to wait longer that 15 minutes. I understand emergencies can come up, etc., but it would be nice if the office would call the patient and tell him/her to come in a little later. Over all, I’d recommend Dr. Omid 🙂

Been coming to Dr Omid since 2002. Always professional. Always on-time. Always competent…explains in detail and takes time to discuss treatment options. Always been the on the leading ledge of technology… first to have camera that shows you your rotten teeth, first to have video headsets with selection of movies, first to have digital x-rays… Her new state of art office in Torrance is impressive. Place is always clean. Dr and the staff is always friendly and will take great care of you!

I am a new patient and have not had the greatest dental experiences over the years, but recent visit to Dr. Omid’s office has changed that.  I can say the office staff was very friendly and accommodating, Shawna was concerned with my comfort and outcomes.   Overall a very good experience, which is not something I would have ever say after a dental visit.  Thanks for getting me back on track.

Dr. Omid and Staff are are awesome and professionals. My first visit to the office was welcoming and friendly and gave me the best care as soon as I walk in that office, with a great smile and presentation. Explained everything as patient informaiton and health history making me feel like they care about me. didn’t had to wait alot and very nice office and clean. Dr. Omid made me fell no scare of a dentist as I was previously scare of the dentist just because I had bad experiences before. and she well told me and explained to me what she best recommended and best advised ever. then a young lady came in to the room and explained the payments of the treatment and offer me also finance which much is needed when you need alot of work like me Deisy was really professional and will recommend my family and friends with Dr. Omid the Best Dentist ever in Torrance. thank you so much Dr. Omid and Staff for your great help and advised I just finish my dental work with no problem. very happy with my smile.

Dr. Shawna ,  the staff are an incredible team and they are the best dentists I have ever had. They are so gentle , I never have any pain and they are so caring of their patients. They all make you feel like family and the dental work is exceptional ! They are top rated A+ and I am so happy to of found them.

I started my journey with TMJ pain in February 2014. Since then I’ve seen professionals in: Dentistry, Orthodontics, Neurology, ENT, Maxillofacial, Craniofacial, Musculoskeletal, and chronic pain mgmt., disciplines. Consultations with “TMJ specialists” have averaged $350 and up to receive the same unimaginative, allopathic, toxic, short-term/long-term-all temporary, expensive recommendations.  Today was a really bad day, I hadn’t slept for 2 nights, the pain was in both ears, my face,my head and it had just spread into the opposite joint for the first time. My lips and tongue were numb so it was hard to speak. My jaw had been dislocating all weekend and I had no idea where my bite was anymore. When I got to her office, my lips were trembling from the over strained face muscles holding my jaw in place.  Dr. Omid is an amazing woman and her office is staffed by warm, healing energies (Vanessa/Victoria). I saw her before I could pick a magazine!!!! She was present and willing to align herself with my concerns. She didn’t sell herself as a TMJ Specialist but someone who has real world experience with sufferers, and an understanding of the complex causes and symptoms. She’s a great communicator. We agreed on Biostimulating Laser Therapy and 10 minutes later I was in tears over the relief.  Honestly, the tears started when Vanessa told me the price. I am so blessed to have found a reasonable (not potentially deadly) solution, that I can actually pay for in two paychecks. And she even let me schedule the second payment. Thank you. Not Thousands over years at punitive rates. It’s my first treatment and I can’t wait to go back, I haven’t stopped smiling!!! The pain was reduced immediately, the inflammation started disappearing and I could feel my face and mouth. 10 hours later, the pain is GONE. I haven’t been pain free since January. This Laser worked for me and I am so grateful…and hopeful. I am going to sleep great tonight on any part of my head I like. 🙂 If you’re suffering with TMJD and searching for a HEALER, Go to Dr. Shawna Omid. Dr. Omid is one of the most caring and thorough dentists that I have ever had the chance to meet, and she will always try to make your visit less nerve-racking and anxious with her friendly and easygoing aura.  She will also let you know exactly what she will be doing on your visit, and you can always comfortably ask her any questions or mention any concerns and she will be more than happy to answer them.  Also, she is the only dentist that I have ever known that will personally give you a call after-hours to check up on your status and well-being, after you had some major work or surgical extractions done on your visit.  So, that goes to show how much she truly cares for her patients. Another positive note, her dental staff/team is also very friendly and helpful, to assist you with any additional matters like financing in my case, and/or any other questions that you might have.  So all-in-all, you will be taken great care of with this awesome team!

I’ve been to a lot of different dentists around my area and they all want to sell you on a procedure you might not need.  Dr. Omid and her wonderful dental hygienist and staff are very nice and pleasant. Dr. Omid tells you what you need and the reason why and it’s up to you to decide if you want it done or not, no pressure.  The office is state of the art and very clean.  I don’t mind driving a half hour to see Dr. Omid, it’s worth it!

I went through 5 dentist in 2 years and then found Dr. Omid.  I have been going to Dr. Omid for over a year now.  Not only is she an excellent dentist but everyone in the entire office, starting with Vanessa at the front desk,  is very kind, patient and extremely helpful.  The office is very modern and they have all the best and latest dental equipment possible. Great music too.  As if all of that was not good enough, they are now helping me with the financial part.  Let me know if you know of a dentist that does and has all of this….

Dr. Omid is fantastic!!!!  She and her staff treat all patients just like family…let me just say i have been going to Dr. Omid for about 20 years…there is no other dentist I would go to or let treat my family.  Dr. Omid is very meticulous and explains in detail every procedure one would go through during a visit to her office.  By the time she finishes with the explanation on any and all procedures, you are in a relaxed state, comfortable, and know that you are in good hands.  Her work, follow-up, and attention to detail is second to none.  I recommend anyone sign up as a patient to Dr. Omid…you, your family, and loved ones will be ecstatic and happily pleased with all dental work performed by Dr. Omid and her staff! Let me start off by saying the Dr. Omid is great, friendly and caring. I have read all these reviews before mine and I find it funny. Some people need to realize is the insurance (if you have any) plays a big part. Anyone could sa “i have to pay $$$$$$$ for treatment, but what they dont say “is my insurance will cover 80% or whatever and I have $1500 for the year, But with that said I would like to say Dr. Omid is great at her work and puts her heart into it. So if you are looking for a free treatment please let us all know so we ALL can go there!!!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Omid for about 10 years now.  Dr. Omid has performed various dental work on me, from regular cleaning to root canal, implant, and just recently she extracted one of my tooth. By the time I visited Dr. Omid for the extraction, my tooth was heavly infected and I was in lots of pain.  In addition to the extraction, she had to finish the job with several stitches. I was expecting a painful extraction and a long and potentially complicated recovery due to the infection. To my surprise, I had no discomfort during the extraction, and more impressively I had a very smooth recovery process. Dr. Omid prescribed antibiotic and pain Killer medications for me.  Amazingly once I arrived home there was no pain and I did not use the pain killer or the antibiotic. Her extraction work was so perfect that I recovered comfortably and without medication. I recommend Dr. Omid to everyone. She is professional, full of integrity and she is very caring. One more thing, I am very touched by getting a follow up phone call at home from DR. Omiid after any dental work.

I never was a fan of going to the dentist until I met Dr. Shawna Omid and her friendly staff. Since my very first appointment, they have made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Each visit Dr. Omid and her staff ask me how things in my life (such as work, school, social life, etc.) are coming along. Their services and professionalism are outstanding! They have state of the art equipment at their disposal which assures me that no old worn out equipment is being put into or near my mouth. Dr. Omid and her staff always go above and beyond to make sure my oral health is in excellent condition before I leave. After each cleaning, they provide me a detailed analysis about what I need to do to improve or maintain my oral health.  In addition, they always offer multiple options, but never make me feel forced to take any of those options. I have been a client for more than 5 years and I plan to continue to see Dr. Omid for a long time. Thanks for all your great years of service Dr. Omid!

Dr. Omid is an amazing dentist! I have been going to her office for the past year and it never fails, from the moment I walk in the door to when I leave, I am completely satisfied with the professionalism of all the staff, the friendliness, and meticulous job to detail. All of the equipment is up to date. Dr. Omid is honest and will tell you what you really need to have done. Being in the medical field myself, I know an excellent provider when I see one and Dr. Omid is one of them. I would recommend her to all my friends and family. 🙂
