Dr. Fotovat is an excellent Cosmetic Dentist. This review is way overdue because I got busy and went out of the country after my dental work. Now I am back in the country. I was referred to him by my son in late Nov. 2019. I saw him for my three ugly and sawlike lower front teeth due to grinding them when I sleep. I was so worried the work won’t be done for the holidays and in Jan. 2020 for my upcoming 50th Class Anniversary. When I saw the Dr., I felt so much better because he assured me that my teeth  will be done before the Holidays and in time for my Class Anniversary. He did not disappoint. I have my crown done in 2 to 3 weeks. Now I have beautiful lower teeth and I’m very happy with the quality of work that was put to it. Dr. Fotovat is the best Dentist I ever had. He is very pleasant, great personality and easy to talk to. He is also very knowledgeable and highly skilled professional. His office has a nice atmosphere and very clean. The staff from the desk to the hygienist are all very pleasant, professional and great at what they do. I am so lucky to find a Dentist of this quality in my neighborhood. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs dental work

I have an anxiety disorder that keeps me from going outside and the staff was exceptional in every way. I was treated with such care through my panic attacks. I cried and shaked though the whole appt. Everyone was so patient with me and explained everything. I was so happy I finally got the care I needed. I’m so happy I want to refer everyone I know and will meet. I’m so thankful to Dr. Fotovat and his staff.

I hate going to the dentist with every bone in my body. Lucky for me I found dr Fotovat. He has different sedation options to help make the appointment run more smoothly. It has really helped me. I don’t dred it like I use to. He listens, asks questions and you can tell he really cares about his patients. I don’t feel like just a number when I come here. His work is top notch and reasonable. (Not to brag) lol but I found out after my appointment he is a top rated dentist on Time magazine. I personally was impressed by this as I imagine it’s not easy to do. He is also good with small children. I brought my son for his first dentist appointment which went very well. As far as his staff they are just as wonderful to see as he is. I truly feel like family when my family and I come here and would highly recommend this office for all your dental needs. Thank you Dr Fotovat for taking cate of our families dental needs. You are amazing and our family Is looking forward to our appointments with you this month.

Dr Fotovat, and his staff are excellent. Professional and efficient! I had a terrible dentist as a child so I know how it can be to go to the dentist, Dr. Mark makes every visit a great one! my schedule is also a nightmare and they always work with me. 5 stars.

Been going to this dentist office for many years. Friendly reception staff, Lesley is especially great, always professional and kind. My Hygienist, Debbie, is very thorough and my teeth feel really clean when she’s done. Dr Fotovat took over the practice a couple years ago and I’m so glad most of the old staff stayed, I liked the old, Dentist, Dr Bjornbak, sad he passed away, but I must say that I couldn’t be happier with Dr Fotovat. I haven’t needed to have any “work” done since he took over, but he does a quick exam after each cleaning. He has a great positive energy and besides looking for cavities or cracked crowns, he uses a special ultraviolet light to check your mouth for any unusual tissue and general health. Really nice guy.

Dr. Fotovat is incredible! I used to go to an amazing highly-credentialed teaching dentist in New York who taught me what to look for in a dentist and how to make sure I’m getting appropriate care. He taught me things like what cavities look like on x-rays. I knew what work I needed done from that previous dentist, and I when I moved to LA I tried to find a dentist I could trust. I tried about 10 different dentists, and each told me I needed something different done. Some told me I needed fillings where I knew I didn’t need fillings, or completely missed the fillings that I knew I needed, and some used scare tactics and told me I had gingivitis and needed expensive deep cleanings or my teeth would fall out. Dr. Fotovat knew exactly what I needed done and accurately explained the same work my last dentist said I would need, he showed me the x-rays, and he ended up performing the work and doing a perfect job. He wasn’t covered by my insurance so I paid out of pocket and it was worth every penny!

The Best in the Business! Hands Down! Especially for me someone who until a years ago I could not even get from the parking lot to the office without crying and having a panic attack. It was through this team at Sherman Oaks Dental that I have come this far and have the best dental health of my whole 57 years. From the first smiling welcoming face you see at check in to the Dentist himself and everyone in between, you feel the genuine care and concern, you know that they are really HEARING YOU!

My visit was outstanding! I was a little nervous because it was my 1st visit with Dr. Fotovat, but he took his time explaining in detail, verbally reviewing my x-rays and the health of my teeth. He was knowledgable, but more importantly, he genuinely seemed to care. I wasn’t just another routine patient. Jackie put me at ease about the multiple x-rays saying that we get more radiation from our cell phones than the new x-ray machines. I will definitely be back and recommend Dr. Fotovat. Very pleased and happy with excellent service received and on detailed explanation on teeth condition and treatment options to follow. Nervous at the beginning but with no rush Dr Mark Fotovat knowledgeably and with sincere care presented his planned treatment approach and never made me feel bad or judged for not going to a dentist sooner. The office staff made me feel, since the beginning, I was in good hands.

So happy to have found Dr. Fotovat. He and his staff are extremely caring and understand my fear of dental work. I had several procedures yesterday and with the help of a bit of medication, I slept through the entire appointment.

The team at Sherman Oaks Dental does such a great job – we’re so happy we found them. While we started going to them for the ‘full sleep dentistry’ option, they’ve made my son and I feel so comfortable – we haven’t opted to use it. The staff is friendly and they’re all exceptionally well-qualified … plus, all of them (especially the Doctor) are very compassionate. If you’re looking for a new dentist … our family highly recommends them. You won’t be disappointed!
