I highly recommend Shipley Orthodontics! I started Invisalign about 4 months ago and recently started having TMJ issues. Dr. Shipley was quick to coordinate with my TMJ Dr. and figure out a plan together in order to maintain my progress with Invisalign while treating my TMJ. On top of that, Veronica, at the front office, kept me well informed of everything and fit me in to their schedule anytime I needed to see Dr. Shipley. She’s the best! Last, but certainly not least, Walter has assisted Dr. Shipley with all of my issues as well. He is very patient and kind and always willing to help! My only regret is not finding this office sooner and having my daughter’s braces done at this office.

Dr Shipley came highly recommended by my oral surgeon after many years of temporary fixes for dental issues performed in offices prior. As an adult in a professional setting, I was reluctant to get orthodontics due to the look and length of treatment. Dr Shipley and his staff are truely extraordinary, they make you feel like a VIP every time you step into the office. Dr Shipley delivers cutting edge orthodontics providing the patient with the latest technology and a personalized treatment plan. He recommended “Propel Orthodonic Acceleration” for me and I could not be any happier with the results. Instead of 2 weeks between changing Invisalign trays, it’s only 3 days after the Propel treatment. This accelerated the expected 2 year treatment plan into a mere 6 months, which is over 4 times faster than regular orthodontics. Four times faster to a better smile with a painfree procedure that only took about an hour. The results are truely amazing. Anyone who is unhappy with their smile, regardless of age, should strongly consider Dr Shipley for providing a long term solution that can fit within your personal needs.

Not only is Dr. Shipley awesome but his office staff is absolutely incredible! My daughter’s expander came undone during a holiday weekend and one of his medical assistants drove 45 minutes to come to the office to fix it for her. We are beyond impressed with their care. I love this place and Dr. Shipley! I’ve been a patient here for three years. I had really bad issues with a cross bite and gaps in my two front teeth. Before I came here, I visited 4 other orthodontist to request Invisalign . All of then said no but Dr Shipley said that with some work, Invisalign will work with me. Like I said, I was a unique case so it took me some time for my teeth to finally cooperate but now my teeth look better than veneers! The staff has always been friendly to me. The facility is very clean. I’ve never had a hiccup with scheduling. I personally referred one person there and anyone who ever asks me for braces; I’ll lead them this way.

Would you consider your orthodontist family? We do. And his staff too. We have two kiddos in braces and love Thomas Shipley! He was referred by a friend and we haven’t been disappointed. 1. Just the thought of paying for braces made us quiver. Not to fear. Shipley has payment options to meet your financial situation. 2. Who likes free stuff? We do. And so do the kids. They get tokens for good behavior (related to taking care of their braces, retainers, etc.) and the tokens can be exchanged for some pretty cool stuff. 3. The office staff is super friendly and accommodating. They have worked with us with school schedules, vacation plans, work emergencies, and sports. 4. The office always has some sort of contest going on for the kids. Contests range from naming exotic animals to sending in postcards from the farthest vacation spot. And the prizes are amazing. 5. They have put braces on an alligator. True story. But don’t take my word for it. 😉 This list could go on and on. But trust me, you’ll love Thomas Shipley as much as we do. SECRET TIP: After school is the busiest time in the office during the school year and mornings are the busiest in the summer. Wait times are never terrible…but you’ll never have to wait if you schedule off-peak.

We have been going to Dr. Shipley for many years! We were his 2nd patient – he was moonlighting at a different orthodontist office while he was trying to get his up and running. This showed us that Dr. Shipley was a hard working man. We put all 4 of our kids in braces with him and he has done a beautiful job with their teeth. We have recommended many families to his practice and they have all been happy too. The office staff doesn’t change much … that should speak volumes about how fantastic it is to work there. All of our kids are now in retainers and it makes us sad that we don’t get to see them now as often. They know and love their patients and it is like a big family and we are blessed to be a part of.

My son is Autistic and has anxiety. Dr. Shipley not only was patient and took his time explaining every detail and showing my son what he was going to do. His staff is beyond AMAZING and work so well with my son. After trying to get impressions and his anxiety kicking in our tech stopped got down on his level and lovingly spoke to my son talking about her son with Aspergers and how he was afraid as well. After she was able to calm him (which many cant) she was able to finish the job. Dr Shipley came back and talked to my son and told him how amazing he did and that it was OK to be scared and to take a few minutes. I can’t say enough about this place. Everyone is so nice and truly care about their patience. I’m so glad we were referred here and after his first phase for expanders his speech got better and he was excited to begin his second phase. Thank you Dr.Shipley and staff for being amazing and for having such great patience, compassion and caring hearts

I am most grateful for Dr. Shipley and his staff. He treated my TMJ and then I got braces. I’ve had a very complex case, but he’s always had the patience to take it one step at a time. My migraine headaches are no longer a weekly occurrence. The staff is very friendly and professional. The office is very high-tech. Dr. Shipley is as nice as one can possibly be. He does Invisallign, braces, TMJ splints, and even oral appliances for sleep apnea.

Dr. Thomas Shipley treats children, teens, and adults with sensitivity, respect, and a great concern for their comfort and happiness. Our team is focused on you, and we make sure that we're available whenever you have questions.Dr. Thomas Shipley was born in Kingsport, in Northeast Tennessee. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University and went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Kentucky’s College of Dentistry. Dr. Shipley completed his Master’s degree in Orthodontics at West Virginia University and has been providing outstanding orthodontic care to the Peoria, AZ community since 2005. In order to stay up to date on the latest advancements in his field, Dr. Shipley is active in the Comprehensive Care Continuum Study Club, and he is the coordinator of the International Dental Ed Continuing Education Study Group for the entire Northwest Valley. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics where his professional achievements and contributions to his field have helped him achieve Diplomate status. In addition to continuing his own education, he is also a certified teacher in the Six Elements Orthodontic Philosophy, a Clinical Advisor at HSO, and an Adjunct Professor at Arizona School of Dentistry’s Orthodontic Department. Additionally, he is a Platinum Plus Invisalign Provider, part of the Invisalign Faculty, and on the Clinical Advisory Board at PROPEL Orthodontics. Dr. Shipley maintains membership in numerous prestigious professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Arizona Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists & Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. In his spare time, Dr. Shipley enjoys backpacking, camping, fishing, and spending time with his family. He is proud to be a Champion Flag Football Coach as well.
