I’ve been going to Dr. Shook for about 15 years! She is a wonderful dentist, caring and compassionate! Office is always pleasant and never pushy like most dentist offices! I highly recommend Dr. Shook for all your dental needs. I came across this office 15 years ago when I had a terrible toothache. Peter from the front desk got me in immediately and Dr. Shook took care of the root canal I needed right away! For nearly 20 years, my dental health has been entrusted to Dr. Shook and her team. The office is always immaculate. They keep me well-informed and the hygienists are thorough and friendly. Dr. Shook goes to lengths to ensure that visits for cavities, etc. are as pain-free as possible and emphasizes preventative maintenance so those pearly whites stay that way for a lifetime. They are focused on the patients’ comfort; even the dental chairs you recline on have back massagers!

BEST DENTIST EVER!!! I found Dr. Shook through a colleague who recommended her. My initial visit was to repair the damage another dentist caused which was a root canal. From the moment I walked in I felt better as if I was in good hands already. She has become my regular dentist and though the drive is not close I am willing to drive the extra mile every six months for my visits. Dr shook not only has become my dentist but most of my office goes there because of the quality of service and honesty she provides to her patients. Her staff is amazing, you don’t wait much and the staff makes it a point to make you feel comfortable and build a relationship. I can easily fall asleep during my cleanings because if how relax she makes you feel, how many can say that about their dentist? I highly recommend her, you won’t regret it.

Victoria is an excellent and considerate dentist and Peter is a great office manager, and is very good at out sorting out insurance billing. Our family have been going to this practice for years. I have had many fillings and a root canal fail from a previous dentist that Victoria was able to save. I recently had a problem with an old crown and Victoria fitted a new one for me just two weeks ago, it already feels better then it had in years. Victoria also keeps conversation with her assistant while she works which is always interesting and enlightening and far better then those practices where you sit there with only the sound of the drill for company! So happy to have found this practice Highly recommended

Dr. Shook has been my dentist for almost 10 years and I have always had a great experience. My teeth are not problematic but I have referred my mother who has had major dental issues for years and she has always been very pleased with Dr. Shook’s care. This is a warm, welcoming, professional and very clean office. The environment is calming and even “spa-like” (for a dentist office that is). Also, Peter, the office manager is friendly and highly efficient. I’ve been going to Dr. Shook for over two years and I can’t recommend her enough! I first walked into her office with a loose crown in bad need of being replaced, or so I thought. It turned out to be a cracked tooth that had to be removed. She was able to get me into the oral surgeon the same day for an implant, and back to her office for the temporary tooth. Ever since then she has been my dentist. Dr. Shook is not only excellent at what she does, she is also patient, caring, compassionate, and will explain everything in detail. Her staff is also highly trained and just a really nice group of people. They are always friendly and warm when I come in for a visit. Even if you’re just in need of a cleaning, her hygienist, Yunhee, is also excellent. She is always checking on you throughout the cleaning to make sure you’re doing ok, is very thorough, and makes recommendations on your specific needs. So if you need a new dentist, go for it!

Most awesome dentist ever, I am a dentist chicken of sorts ,so me saying that Dr. Shook is awesome really means something. I had a dental emergency and needed to see someone fast. I called and got in that afternoon. She was so kind, my tooth was cracked, I was in a lot of pain but she did a great job. I knew when she very nicely told me my tooth “was doomed” that I had found a great dentist. Just telling me that way was so much easier than “it needs to come out”. In the end the tooth had to be removed because it “was doomed”. She is funny, kind and a very nice person too. Her office staff is wonderful. She books 1 patient at a time, (unless someone has an emergency) so she is not bouncing from patient to patient. They are on time and you are never there longer than necessary. I really do like her as a dentist but also as a person.

Dr. Shook has been practicing dentistry since 1994. She worked for other practices prior to returning home and opening her own practice. She also was a bench instructor at UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Shook is a graduate of USC and the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She also has completed advanced workshops in Implant Dentistry, Aesthetic Dentistry and other disciplines. Also, Dr. Shook is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Shook majored in Biological Sciences with a minor in German at the University of Southern California, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. She obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University before becoming a dentist in San Pedro. She regularly attends continuing education courses. She is a member of the Campus Learning program at the respected Spear Education institute, where she receives training in the most up-to-date treatment techniques, including Facially Generated Treatment Planning. Her advanced education includes courses in endodontic therapy, Invisalign, advanced cosmetic dentistry, and laser dentistry. She has also received extensive implant prosthetics training with the Implant Study Club. In her free time, she enjoys taking walks with her family and her dog, hiking, working out and doing Pilates, cooking, watching Downton Abbey, and learning about European and ancient Egyptian history.
