Oh my goodness all I can say is GREAT things about my experience. I had heard wonderful things about the office from friends and family and I thought to myself, “come on, how great could it really be…it’s a dentist’s office.” But yes….they were all correct. From the minute you walk through the door you can feel the warmth and smiles coming from everyone there. I was greeted and giving a tour and then a welcome gift. What the what?? A welcoming gift and tour. Awesome! My hygienist was the sweetest and I already booked my next appointment. So kind and caring and I naturally felt at ease. ANNA is definitely a keeper and someone I would recommend and keep coming to. Then Dr. Ritzau came in and she just lights up the room with her warmth and smile. She explained everything to me and even squeezed me in for a filing fix as I was commuting to this office from a distance. Cory handled my payment and was so helpful. I would SOOOOOOOO recommend this dentist office to anyone who is looking for a dentist. This office is hands down legit!! They take customer service and dentistry to a whole new level. THANK YOU!!!!

My front took was knocked out about 14 years ago. I was to young to get a permanent crown. So I was walking around looking like a clown. But to scared to get it fixed due to trusting it would come out fantastic. Shoreline made me feel super comfortable my first visit. We went over EVERYTHING. even things I didn’t fully understand they took the time to explain it to me until I fully understood. They took my old ugly crown out & replaced it with another temp. I actually really loved my temp, I wanted to keep it but clearly couldn’t. Lol. Just went back today to get my permanent crown…. It. Looks. Fantastic. I’ve never been so happy. Look just like my other real front tooth. They are beyond friendly. They will go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. I walked in for my first appt and felt welcomed as soon as I stepped foot into the office.
I have been recommending this office since my first appointment. Few friends have actually visited this office as well & they have the same positive comments as I do.

I chose this dentist based on so many positive reviews and now I fully understand why they have so many 5 star ratings. They are very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. They took the time to get to know me and were all very friendly. They took the time to fully explain the charges of the visit which was much appreciated. I’ve finally found a dentist that I’ll continue to go to! Each member of this team at Shoreline has been gentle, educating & friendly. I’ve had 3 appointments with them, 2 cleanings & a filling. With my busy mom schedule, I have to be strategic with timing. They’ve not only always been accommodating, but I’ve never waited more than maybe 3 minutes before being taken back for my appointment. I have had a lot of experience with dentist all over the country. Dr. Ritzau is by far the best. I came to her office for the first time this week and was amazed at the professionalism, relaxing atmosphere of the office (felt like a spa when I first walked in), the top notch staff and the quality of work. I have some anxiety about going to the dentist and she calmed my nerves and walked me through everything. I came here for a second opinion about some work I needed done and will be going back. I had three fillings done that day and I was comfortable and it did not take a long time. I will be driving in from Pasadena, which is an hour drive, just to see Dr. Ritzau! This is not one of those offices where they are out to get your money like some places I have been to. They are very family friendly and honest people. They even gave me head phones to listen to music while I was having my cavities filled! I highly recommend!

Just had my first appointment here today. It was such a wonderful experience. I was immediately greeted when entering the office and was given a nice tour by Cory. I finally bit the bullet and made the appointment to get my long overdue cavities filled & i will say i was sooooo nervous. I’m not sure why but I almost cancelled my appt last minute because my nerves were so bad. But thank god i went because I had such an easy experience and I’m soo happy its over with. Dr. Ritzau is so cute and sweet and professional- of any place ive gone to (other places where my insurance covers) ive felt the MOST comfortable at Shoreline in Dr. Ritzau’s hands. They gave me laughing gas which helped a lot with my nerves, and even offered me headphones and an iphone with music to listen to. It seriously went by in what seemed like 20 minutes to get 2 really gnarly cavities filled. I just feel so much better and i don’t have the scaries over getting my cavities filled anymore so for that i’m really thankful.

I started coming here in 2012 when they opened. Prior to my experience at Shoreline Dental Studio, I had some serious anxiety about having dental work done. Dr. Ritzau and her staff took extra efforts to put me at ease during my appointments. They provided sunglasses and headphones with Pandora (they even put on a good station! :)). If you have a really really hard time, they can even put you to sleep while they get down to business. Since opening, I’ve been back every six months for regular cleanings. Everyone in the staff goes above and beyond what I would expect from this type of business. It sounds a bit cliche, but they make me feel like family. Dr. Ritzau is always pushing the latest and greatest in terms of techniques and technology. She is the real deal and I cannot say enough good things. Dentists notoriously get poor reviews on Yelp- there is a reason Shoreline Dental Studio stands out above the rest.

Dr. Ritzau and her staff are amazing. My husband, 2 1/2 year old son, and I had an appointments today for cleaning and general check ups and it could not have gone better. The whole staff was warm, welcoming and professional. My husband and I had our teeth cleaned, cavities filled, x-rays taken and impressions made for mouth guards. Everything done by Dr. Ritzau and her staff was done quickly, professionally with new technology and instruments, and painlessly, which was wonderful especially with a toddler! Our son was so happy and relaxed in the office that he actually asked to get his teeth cleaned and didn’t want to leave when we were all done. As a parent, I couldn’t ask for more! I have been coming to Shoreline dental for about five months. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, they give a lot of personal attention and care. I am currently doing Invisalign but have also had a deep cleaning done. I was so scared about the deep cleaning because I have heard it is extremely painful, but that was not my experience at all! They gave me music to listen to made sure that I was completely comfortable and reassured me. This melted away any and all fears I had. I will never worry about a deep cleaning again!

Dr. Ritzau and her staff are the absolute best. I have had so many horrible experiences with dentist offices before and have developed terrible anxiety. Dr. Ritzau and her staff were so pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and gentle. My entire visit was very comfortable and everything was explained well. The office is so clean, updated and the equipment all appears state of the art. Having the option of “laughing gas” for someone like me that has a dental phobia is extremely helpful and made a huge difference in my ability to keep my anxiety under control while sitting in the chair. I was completely relaxed and confident in the work being done and that is an AMAZING feeling. I can’t recommend this office enough! One last bit of praise. I had a high spot on a tooth after a filling I had over two years ago at another office. I had gone back to the dentist twice to have it corrected and each time was told that I was just imagining it….even though I literally could only touch my canines together on that side and was unable to chew using my molars. Well I mentioned it to Dr. Ritzau after she finished a filling and with a quick adjustment, she completely fixed it and my bite was back to normal. Thank you Dr. Ritzau!!

Dr Kristen Ritzau was born and raised in San Clemente. After working several years in LA and the Inland Empire, she returned to her hometown to open her dental practice because it was her goal to care for the dental needs of the community that she grew up in. Dr. Ritzau attended college in San Diego and then dental school at UCLA, graduating first in her class at both. She has received numerous awards for her academic achievement and clinical skills. She continues to expand her knowledge by taking courses on current techniques and becoming certified to provide additional services such as Oral Conscious Sedation, Perio Protect, and Invisalign. Dr Ritzau finds joy in the relationships she shares with her patients and being a part of the San Clemente community she loves.
