Today was honestly, only the second time I’ve left the house w my son during SIP–for various reasons my family has to be extra cautious. We’ve always loved SV Pediatric Dentistry, but I was especially gratefully for all the hard work I know went in to completely altering many of its processes and operations to provide service during COVID-19. It’s a lot of work to keep staff and patients safe. We appreciate you! Everyone was very peaceful, and kind. (My son, 10, actually wants to go to the dentist and see his old pal Dr Scotty and all the wonderful dentists and assistants!)

Both the nurse and the dentist had read through the paperwork I’d completed online the night before! I find it rare that medical personnel have actually read through your file before coming to meet you for the first time so this was a lovely start to our visit. We were there for my 21 month old son to have his first visit to the dentist and his first cleaning, just a check up. He hates having his teeth brushed but the nurse and the dentist did a great job of keeping the cleaning short and sweet and it was much less traumatic to him than his nightly brushing performed by mum and dad! The staff were all so lovely and made us feel welcome. The office was sparkling clean and beautifully decorated with stickers that my son enjoyed looking at and helped him feel at ease and be entertained while I talked to the nurse. We are so glad to have found this clinic at the recommendation of a friend!

I highly recommend this office. They are well prepared with their COVID-19 protocols and we felt very safe. The whole team is so wonderful and my boys are always happy at their visits. My older son was a little nervous about getting x-rays at this visit but Anthony made it a super easy and a positive experience for him. Lisa took care of their cleanings while they watched a movie and she was so patient with my son who is worried about the suction and took the time to let him sit up and spit in a cup every 20 seconds. We normally see Dr. Scotty who is so patient and knowledgeable. Today we met Dr. Raj and he is equally patient and caring plus he’s dual trained as an orthodontist. We look forward to going back in 6 months!

This is a grate establishment that makes the kids feel really welcome. I bring my daughter here and she is actually excited to come. Of course when she sees the chair she does get a little intimidated but the doctors always find a way to make her fell comfortable. Definitely recommend making this your go to dentist for kids.

I took my two year old child to the dentist for the first time, and we were both very nervous. The hygienist and doctor were both so great and helped us both feel calm and relaxed. They used a cushioned board laid across mine and the doctor’s knees and had my kiddo lay back, so it was almost like they were still sitting in my lap. I expected the doctor to have a hard time looking in my toddler’s mouth, as they don’t like anyone looking or poking in there, but she was able to get their mouth open easily. She counted and looked at my kiddos teeth, flossed, brushed, and was done in about five minutes. My toddler got several stickers, a toothbrush, toothpaste, a couple of flossers, and a “first dentist visit” magnet with our picture, to help them remember and hopefully be less scared next time.

I’ve this dentistry ! My son is completely comfortable when he comes in. When you walk in there is a movie playing LEGO’s and cars for the kids to play with. It’s inviting and such kid friendly. When you go to the back the assistant are so friendly they showed him everything they were using and what they were going to do. Totally recommend!!!

Really enjoyed my experience at SVPD. Everyone was so nice at this pediatric dental office. Parking was really easy as they had a big parking lot that was adjacent to the front entrance I really enjoyed the technology of this office from offering free WiFi which is always nice and iPad for paperwork. Not to mention it’s paper free and digital. My little one also enjoyed the x-rays here where he didn’t have to put anything in his mouth. The service was excellent from the front staff all the way to Dr Scotty. We will definitely be back. See you soon Dr. Scotty!

Our family has been searching for a long time for a great Pediatric Dentist. We don’t need to look any further! Silicon Valley Pediatric Dentistry is Amazing! They went beyond my expectations. Our families extremely happy. My girls 4 and 7 loved it. The bright happy atmosphere, kid prizes on the wall, entertainment and play area. So much attention to detail that appeals to children. The staff was so caring and attentive, I must say we were impressed. Last but not least, the dentist did an exceptional job cleaning our daughters teeth. She was able to deep clean bad tarter buildup missed by the last dentist only 6 months ago. I can’t say enough about the positive experience we all experienced today. My only regret is that I didn’t find them sooner when my kids were babies. I highly recommend Silicon Valley Pediatric Dentistry, you won’t be disappointed.

Dr. Scotty is truly a great caring doctor. Seeing him the second time around was just as good as the first with my son. This time I brought my daughter. She was scared just like Zach was but dr Scotty’s cool and joking demeanor bright her to laughter within seconds. I like this office because everyone tried their bet to explain everything before proceeding. Dr. Scotty showed me exactly which tooth had a cavity and when I couldn’t see he let me feel the soft decayed spot with his probe. He truly wanted me to understand why he was doing everything and that’s great!

My son and I just had an amazing visit with Dr. Scotty. He had one tooth that was bothering him last night and wanted his baby tooth extracted. I called up the office and the front staff immediately accommodated us. When we went in Dr. Scotty was so kind and jovial that he had no apprehension at all. Dr. Scotty was distracting my child so much that he didn’t even feel the shot and he was giggling and wiggling his toes the entire time! Even after the appointment Dr. Scotty gave my son his tooth in a little treasure chest for the tooth fairy and took a picture with him and it turned out so cute. Our family has a long relationship with this office and Dr. Mednick but we are definitely happy with the addition of Dr. Scotty. Definitely will be back in 6 months

This is hands down the best dental experience I have ever seen. I can not rave enough on how fantastic the customer service and quality of care was. Before getting there: – Super easy to make an appointment – Follow up for new patient forms, again easy – Everything was done online Appointment: – Very Covid19 safe and aware – You call when you get there and someone comes out to greet you. – They check your temperature and double check paperwork – Lead you up to the door and since my daughter was a new patient they had her name along with all the other new patients who you were coming in on the door. Really sweet touch. – Led us in straight to our room and this office definitely works with kids. Everyone was just on point on how to engage and talk with a toddler. On top of that right away they has Frozen on with a TV right above where she was looking. – Worried about the lights? No problem they have sunglasses for the toddlers. – The lovely nurse gave explained all the items she would be using for the teeth cleaning and was very welcoming. – The dentist was also just so kind and gentle. Very thorough. – Had a gift bag as a first time patient. Honestly, as a parent I’d like to go there. Highly recommend, great team, and they are a well oiled machine!

We took our 20-month old son in for a visit with Dr. Scotty today — our first time visiting this beautiful office. Dr. Scotty and his assistant were amazing to say the least. My two daughters(6 and 3) both had their appointments today with Dr. Scotty. If you have children and they need a dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Scottys practice at Silicon Valley Pediatric Dentistry. The office staff is always so helpful and friendly, and I have to give credit to the hygienist Nayeli who did a great job of explaining to my 3 year old the teeth cleaning process. I watched m 3 year old being on the verge of tears to hopping off the chair with a giant smile on her face, I couldn’t have been more relieved to have it go so well. We first came into Dr. Scotty when I needed a second opinion for my eldest daughter and I couldn’t imagine them going anywhere else for dental care since. he takes his time with his patients to answer any and all questions or concerns the parents might have. Before SV Pediatric dentistry: Our 1.5 yr old was diagnosed with severe caries on his front 2 upper/2 lower. We were told by our previous very reputed pediatric dentistry that we will have to go through all front 4 extractions. We couldn’t believe that our little baby will have to go through extractions at this age, and were so much concerned how this will impact his confidence/and prognosis for his permanent teeth. We repeatedly asked if we can save the remaining part of the teeth by putting crowns and filling the caries, we were told clearly that’s not an option and we will have to do extraction soon, we felt they rushed in the decision and didn’t want to explore other options. After SV Pediatric dentistry: We can’t be grateful enough to Dr. Scott who treated our son’s caries on his front 4s by putting crowns to stop further decay. His prognosis was very clear that he could save the 4 teeth and there is no need to do any extractions. He listened to our concerns and ensured we had confidence in his treatment plan. We went through the local anesthesia and crown fitting on our 2 yr at their location, the whole process was very smooth and they kept us informed all the way. We are so thankful to SV pediatric for taking such a good care of our son, we went through the treatment when he was 2, now he is 4.5 and his crowns are holding up really well.

I love SVPD! I’ve been bringing my daughter since she was 1, which was recommended by her pediatrician. She normally sees Dr. Raj but for this most recent visit we saw Dr. Scotty because of changes in my work schedule. I like to request Nayeli as the assistant because my daughter is super comfortable with her. She’s very attentive and patient. During this appointment they recommended xrays because of a growing cavity, which I was totally fine with. The machine they use is fast and easy, all my daughter did was stand and bite into something while the machine went around her head. I appreciate that they go over everything in detail. My daughter was a little sad she didn’t get to play with the toys or the playhouse before the appointment but after her visit Nayeli gave her a sticker and a toy which of course made up for that. She even played her favorite movie during the cleaning. It’s nice that she remembers these little details for future appointments. I highly recommend SVPD. The front office ladies are extremely friendly and helpful. They now offer ortho as well which makes it super convenient for parents that want to have their kids come in for both their cleaning and ortho needs.

We have been going to this office with our 3.5yr old for about a year now. All the staff are super nice and the office is clean. There are iPads, books, toys, TV in the waiting room, even an outdoor area! Of course during C19 all of this is off limits. I have been with Silicon Valley Pediatric Dentistry for several years. Was a patient of Dr. Mednick, who has since retired and Dr. Scott Ngai took over. My kids love coming to the dentist! They have moved to a new location and their office is beautiful. The waiting area is amazing and great for kids to play while they wait. There is even an outdoor area for those that love the outdoor scene. This is a great place to bring your kids to be treated. There are some awesome surprises that await after treatment for the kids. I don’t want to spoil it so in order to know call and schedule an appt. for your kiddos! Dentists and Staff are amazing, friendly and patient! I couldn’t ask for a better place!

This Doc is great. He was referred to me by Dr. William Yao, who is the orthodontist for all 3 of my kids. I fully trust Dr. Yao, so when he told me to see Dr. Scotty, I knew I was gonna be well taken care of – and I was right. My kids got along with Dr. Ngai immediately, and so we never looked back. Convenient location right down the street from our home, and the staff is wonderful. Office is clean and up-to-date, although sometimes a bit small when it gets busy. Can I give 6 stars? Pediatric dentistry doesn’t get any better than this. In fact, dentistry for anyone doesn’t get better than this. Dr. Scotty and his entire staff are talented and have a special gift with children. They are always accommodating. Our son came in with an emergency and they saw us immediately. The surgery couldn’t be performed at the office so he called a surgeon located within a 5 minute drive who was equally as skilled and made a stressful situation much easier. Dr. Scotty (as we cal him) knows how to read and cope with children’s anxiety around dentistry. He is truly a gifted doctor. I highly recommend his office.

First let me start off by saying that I never write reviews but we had such an amazing time with Dr. Ngai that I felt compelled to join yelp and write this review. My daughters used to hate doing to the dentist but not any more. We had gone to another pediatric dentist in the area but my girls never liked going there. We decided to switch dentist after my 3 year old diagnosed with cavities and the doctor told me she need to be sedated due to the complexity of the treatment and her young age. I did not want to sedate my child so I started looking for a new pediatric dentist . After looking at yelp and all the wonderful comments for this office we decided to give it a try. Dr. Ngai was willing to work with me and was able to do all my child’s fillings with her awake. Dr. Ngai has such a wonderful approach with children that my 3 year old sat and the chair and was willing to be worked on. I have never seen her do that with any appointment let alone a filling appointment where she needed a shot. The fillings turned out great and she isn’t in pain anymore. She even left with a smile, stickers, and a prize! Couldn’t be happier.

Been here twice since the pandemic and feel extremely safe! We’ve been bringing our 5 year old here since 1 year old and now our additional son (1 year) too! The new building is beautiful and the staff are really amazing. My 5 year old had developed some serious anxiety surrounding dentist visits after being hospitalized. They have been very patient and kind with him. They’ve set realistic goals surrounding cleaning/exams and are working with us to get comfortable. This could be a very traumatizing experience but with their kindness it’s improving so much! We wouldn’t go anywhere else!

This was my son’s first dental visit. I really enjoyed my experience with Dr.Scotty and his assistant Diana. Doctor Scotty was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable about asking questions. We had a great experience here. The two dentists we worked with were friendly and professional, and did a great job interacting with my 3 year old daughter. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. The office has a lot of toys and even a little playground, which my daughter loved, and she got a token for a little toy after, all of which helped to take the anxiety out of the experience for her (and for me!). 8/20/20 Update – We had a follow up, and we were impressed by the COVID precautions that are now in place. They have a great setup and we felt very safe being there. Even with the precautions, my now 4 year old daughter was still very comfortable, still got a little toy (which she loved, of course!), and she liked interacting with the dentist, hygienist and staff. They did a great job, and we’re very happy with their level of service, friendliness and professionalism.
