I could truly go on for days regarding my experiences as a patient at Dr. Cumani’s office. I have been a long standing patient, as well as my entire family, friends, and now my staff. I send everyone to her for so many reasons. I am a Healthcare Administrator myself, so I tend to be much more critical when in a doctor’s office. This office has invested so much in becoming a state of the art dentist office in order to offer patients cutting edge dentistry. It’s impressive, to say the least. Recently, I experienced a serious medical episode while in her chair (unrelated to dentistry), and she never left my side while waiting for 911. She held my hand and kept me conscious as best as she could. She continuously contacted me in the hospital to check on me. What doctor does that today???? Not many, trust me….I understand people have expectations, and they may not be met at doctors office at times but keep in mind, sometimes they are unrealistic. As I said, I could go on forever!!! She is simply the best in my eyes!!

Had a few broken and infected teeth removed the dentist assured I wouldn’t feel anything because I wanted to be put asleep I trusted him and I felt nothing at all I was so comfortable I actually go back tomorrow to have some removed on the other side! I absolutely love this place my sister went here,my friends go here,and now I’m referring everyone I know! I’m so happy I found a clean and a place I actually feel like they care it’s not just a place wanting to milk insurance money! Dr Cumani is that rare professional who deserves a rating ABOVE the 5 star scale. NO I’m not a paid reviewer but a REAL patient who has been under Dr Cumani’s care for the past 4 years. I honestly do not see need for another dentist in my lifetime. I would say the same if I was a millennial (I’m a senior). Dr Cumani is a kind, compassionate and caring HUMAN BEING who happened to become a dentist. She would be the SAME-100%- in any profession or trade. As it happened, she trained as a dentist whose skills are immediately demonstrated. You feel complete confidence in her assessment and treatment interventions from basic 1-step to multi stage complex. Dr Cumani is invested in the care and follow up of each patient. This is NOT the marketing message put out by other dentists (and other health care providers/systems). PR rules in any business and is just a superficial commercial. Dr Cumani is the absolute REAL DEAL. A UNIQUE combination of ethical individual and hiexperienced professional. You lose out seeing ANYONE ELSE. Simple as that. Choice is up to you. Update: 6/26/20 I was in the office yesterday for regular cleaning. This office as most was closed for several months and reopened June 1st with physical modifications and procedures to address potential Covid 19 presence and risk attenuation. From entry to front desk processing to dental care and follow up flowed smoothly and competently. Nothing has changed in terms of what I recognized with gratitude in the above preceding review. Despite the significant challenges we face in our respective roles as patient and dental healthcare providers (during a pandemic whose duration remains distressingly unknown) I was instantly reassured that Dr Cumani and all her staff are the SAME in their unique blend of genuine kindness and the highest level of professionalism.

After moving into the neighborhood, I scheduled my first appointment with the practice for a Friday, first thing, at 9AM. They confirmed my dental insurance in advance of the appointment and showed off their tech-savvy and automated capabilities by sending multiple reminders via text and email. On the day of my appointment, I stopped by a few minutes before and they were all ready for me! Even the registration for new patients was computerized (much better than writing all of the information with paper and pen!). Shortly thereafter, I was taken back for my 6-month cleaning / check-up. Both the dental assistant and doctor worked in tandem in a personable, yet professional manner. Provided helpful feedback without preaching either! Really appreciate the fact that Cumani and Associates is in the new neighborhood!

This is the best place to get any dental work performed. Pleasant staff, very professional and imaculantly clean. If there is a longer than expected wait time it is because of how popular this dentist is. And/or the time of day. But they normally see you at your scheduled time. I’ve been going there for years and never had anything to complain about. It feels like family. My wife and daughter use the same dentist as well. That’s one thing we ALWAYS agree on. And they are very kid friendly.

My experience with Doctor Cumani and her Associates was amazing! I am always feeling very nervous before going to the dentist but she managed to make me feel very comfortable, even if it was my first time in her office. She explained to me every little detail and let me know on the amount I had to pay in advance! She even spotted my “Achilles’ heel” regarding my teeth status which surprised me positively! Dr. Cumani is, by far, the best dentist I have ever had! I moved from Philly to Washington, DC and still come to Philly for my dental work. It’s a hassle but better than getting a bad or even a mediocre dentist. I tried other dentists in DC area but Dr. Cumani set a high standard and I have continually been disappointed with the dentists in this area. She is the only dentist who clearly marks on my chart that I need to take antibiotics prior to dental work! I had one doctor in DC start digging into my gums and I said “uh, are you sure I took my antibiotics?”. Her response “oh yea, I forgot to ask….” My response “oh yea, I almost died as a child from a dental treatment so I will be leaving and you will not even consider charging me for this appointment.” I always know that Dr. Cumani is on top of things and she is so much more progressive than most dentists. If you don’t need a procedure or there is a less expensive work around she will do it. She is not trying to take your money she is just trying to be the best dentist possible! That is rare in today’s world. And since I just cracked a tooth I will be visiting her soon!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Cumani’s for at least a decade because she is the best dentist that I’ve ever had . She is excellent! She has always provided the best of dental care with a personal, caring approach. She works with you regarding your options about the best solution to your dental problems choices and financial options. I watched her grow her business over the years incorporating pediatric dentistry, cosmetic dentistry as well as cosmetic procedures. My entire life I have had problems getting numb so I understandingly hate the dentist. I’ve been having terrible pain and decided to finally go to the dentist for a route canal and an extraction. I stumbled upon dr Cumani’s office and went in for a walk in. I told Dr. Cumani and her wonderful staff that I don’t huger numb. She tried her hardest to get me numb and perform the procedures. Despite her efforts it didn’t work and I left in horrible pain Now I know this doesn’t sound like the start of a good review but here’s the good part. After taking the prescribed antibiotics I went back to try again. I felt so comfortable that despite my excruciating pain I knew she was the only one I would let near my mouth. Know that I was in pain she moved fast to get the job done and when I couldn’t handle it she took the time to comfort me. The care was so personal and regardless of the pain (which was no fault of hers) I knew I was in good hands. She got the job done and it wS well worth it. I would recommend Dr. Cumani to any and everyone in the area simply because of her compassion. I’m still petrified of the dentist because my trouble numbing but at least I know how hard she will work to make me comfortable.

I’ve had several problems with my last couple of dentists–one cracked my back molar in half while performing an extraction and also shaved down my 6 front teeth (without notifying me) because they thought it would be more aesthetic. Neither of these issues were properly fixed and it has been an absolute nightmare. When I went to 2nd dentist, he informed me that I needed over $15,000 worth of work in my mouth and wanted to have a root canal and crown placed on almost every tooth. Thankfully, I looked at the treatment plan again and noticed that some of the teeth already had root canals and I was never told that any of the others ever had cavities! Luckily, I went to Dr. Cumani’s office for another opinion. From the start, the receptionist was very professional, kind and comforting. I saw Dr. Mithani and she took the time to go over every possible dental issue and explained that I did not even need half of the work that was quoted to me. She was also able to save 1 tooth I thought needed a root canal by filling it. She stated that although it appeared to be a root canal on the x-ray, that when you actually took the time to look, it only needed the filling. That was the first dentist that had actually taken the time to fully look at my mouth and not just try to breeze through everything. Overall, the experience has been the most positive dental experience I’ve had since I was a child. This is the 1st dentist I’ve seen in several years that seemed fully qualified and didn’t just try to suggest unnecessary services. It is such a relief to find a dentist that I can actually trust to do what’s best for me! I am so thankful I found this office and would recommend it to anyone!

I am petrified of the dental pain. I make appointments and cancel them all the time. My last 2 dental appointments were so surprisingly good. I did not suffer much pain at all. The staff at Cumani’s takes into consideration that I not only have very sensitive teeth but also a small mouth. My last appointment instead of having me stretch my mouth farther than it can, she had me slightly close my mouth which loosened the skin and muscles so I did not feel any of the needles or any work she was doing. I love the staff at Cumani’s office. I am finally comfortable with going to the dentist for regular appointments. I would recommend them to everyone.

Cumani’s office is clean, the staff is polite, friendly, caring and knowledgeable. I have been petrified of the dentist, even at Cumani’s office I have made appointments and canceled them over and over. However, my last 2 appointments (6 mos ago and last week) went extremely good, no pain at all. I think they have finally gotten to know me and see that when I say I am afraid that it is not your usually fear. Also, they finally see that I am extremely sensitive and have a small mouth. Instead of having me stretch my mouth they had me close it slightly and that allowed for the muscles and gums to be looser so the needles and the work did not hurt. I did not even know that she injected me with the needle. I am so grateful that I am finally able to get my dental work done and not keep canceling appointments out of fear. I love Cumani’s office and would recommend them to everyone.

Another six months, another very good experience with Dr. Cumani’s staff and assistance. I came in as scheduled (at my last appointment 6 months ago, and they always send reminder emails and/or texts and calls to make sure I remember the date and time, especially as it gets closer), and I was treated very well. The x-rays, exam, cleaning ad polishing were all done very well. They even found a cavity I didn’t realize I had, and I have an appointment next week to have it filled. Again, all of the staff is very pleasant and do their jobs well. I have been seeing this dentist since 2012, 2013. They have really helped and inspired me to take much better care of my teeth, something I hadn’t done for most of my life. I highly recommend Dr. Cumani’s office at 22nd and Montrose to anyone in that area looking for a dentist.

I love Dr. Cumani’s dental office and staff! I was 25 mins late for my appointment yesterday due to torrential downpours and horrible traffic. I know they have a 15-min grace period and I was so worried they would make me reschedule but they didn’t. They understood. I really appreciated that. My appointment with the gum specialist, Dr. Delie was a little delayed but I didn’t mind because of my own lateness. Dr. Delie is very thorough, always explains things ahead of time, and frequently checks to see if you’re okay and comfortable. I’ve seen him during my treatment plan at least 6 times. His assistant is calming and reassuring as well. I have never had a bad experience at this office and I’ve been a patient for about 4 years.

This office is amazing, they serve both Children and Adults. I called and got a same day appointment for my 3 year old and he was a new patient there. We got there and the Dentist (Dr. Kumar) was super nice and did an excellent job making my son feel comfortable. We were in and out within like 20 mins. Also the office is immaculately clean, the staff is super nice as well. They have a really nice waiting room for the children, complete with gaming systems and a life size pirate ship. My husband also has gone here for some dental work and got really good service from Dr. Cumani. The point is the dentist can be scary and Dr. Cumani and her staff has made it comfortable experience for the whole family. To the point that my 3 year old is excited for his next appointment! Definitely a keeper!

Great place for my little one! The little pirate ship in the waiting room is perfect. Always in & out. His last appt was 3:00pm. We were in the car halfway home by 3:30pm. The receptionists are always warm & welcoming. The dental team in the back are amazing with children! The dentist is so great with my little guy!
