My dentist of 20 years retired. I went to Dr.Mann based on the reviews. Office staff is super nice, the place is very well run. They take many insurances, I had none, so I addressed my emergency first. His digital x ray and panoramic equipment confirmed my worst fear, my bridge was no good, and infected the post tooth requiring a root canal. We sat, and discussed the situation, and decided saving the tooth was worth it, but building a bridge on a root canal was rolling the dice. Off came the bridge and on came the root canal and temporary crowns. A total professional. Inever felt 4 deep injections, the bridge was off in 10 minutes. The root canal was excellent. He was very careful, stopping 3 times and taking progressive X rays so we could be sure everything including the posts were placed right. I was out in 90 minutes. I had a deep infection that could have had serious consequences. The day before the procedure I was placed on a 7 day round of antibiotics. Did it hurt like hell that night when the shot wore off? Yes, took a lot of advil, like 2-3 every 2 hours.Next morning, it was a new day, and I felt fine. I am getting the permanent crowns in a week, and in about two months, I am going back for two implants. No more bridge. He does mini implants however I am not a viable candidate for that. Eventually I need a third implant for a msiing tooth on the other side and a night guard for TMJ. He does it all, great staff, great practice.I am so glad I found him. You trust him. He is straight forward , honest and informative.

Dr. Peter Mann has been my dentist for almost ten years. He and his staff are pleasant, professional and always great listeners. I appreciate their patience when I say I experience sensitivity due to my diet and toothpaste choices. Dr. Mann is effective and timely during my six months cleanings. I’ve not yet had a cavity under his care so I am grateful.

A lot of the posts here are about the Zoom treatment, which I did get and was true to what everyone has been posting about, but I wanted to comment on the Lumineer Veneer treatment that I also got in case anyone is needing any feedback on that. My experience from consultation to completion was so great. I was not the greatest patient, I know. I am a little protective of my teeth and I ask a lot of questions. I am sure I asked the same questions 10 different ways but Dr Mann was extremely patient with me. His pricing was very reasonable and I was most impressed with his course of action: I was expecting the quote to be for something like 4-6 veneers but instead he took a conservative route and said he could do it with one veneer and a Zoom treatment. I was so impressed that I went home and cancelled my other two (fee-based) consultations and decided to go with him. The veneer experience consisted of one fitting appointment where he also placed a temporary on the tooth. A week later I went back and he put the final one on. During the first visit, he also tweaked the gum a little, which he probably could have charged me for but he didn’t, and that small laser tweak made a world of difference in my smile. He did a great job explaining what was going to happen before he did it (and for how long which put me at ease), and he reshaped my night guard for me too, which again – I bet he could have charged me for. The staff was great, appointments were always available, and I never had to wait. He’s probably going to regret this since I’m so high maintenance but after this experience, I’ve decided to switch to making him my permanent dentist. Very trustworthy and you won’t regret putting your mouth in his hands.

I redeemed my $99 Zoom teeth whitening certificate last week at Smile Arts, and I’m very pleased with the results – about seven shades lighter! Just as important, I found the entire service provided by Dr. Mann and his friendly staff to be wonderful – everyone was thorough, thoughtful and professional. What’s more, they give you the option of selecting a Netflix show or movie to watch during your procedure – it just so happens I had a hankering for Medium that day. Life is good! Oh, and they put vitamin E on your lips so they don’t get dried out – I had a Zoom procedure done once before and my lips were painfully dry and cracked for a couple of days after – not this time around. Overall I’m very impressed and I’m considering switching dentists…next test will be my Invisalign consultation. 🙂

I’ve been going to Dr. Mann for years. He’s done my Invisalign as well as my veneers. I have no complaints and I couldn’t be happier with the service here, esp. Dr. Mann. He is very good at what he does. The staff are very personable and warm, which makes it a great combination for a dental office. I highly recommend Smile Arts of NY!

A++ experience at Smile Arts and highly recommend the office and Zoom whitening procedure, I will definitely be going back! I purchased the lifebooker voucher (my very first!) and I cannot say enough great things about the staff and Doctor. Even the receptionist was incredibly kind and accommodating when booking my appt. (for the very next day I might add) and when I sat in the chair the dental assistant carefully explained the procedure and really made me feel welcome- which is not always the case with online deals like this at other places. Time-wise I was in and out and even had a cavity filled right on the spot. The Doctor was friendly and helpful and overall I was extremely satisfied. Do note that it is recommended that you get a cleaning before which I just had done there since insurance covered it. There can also be some slightly uncomfortable tingling sensations felt during the procedure but nothing unbearable or which cause any major pain, at least in my experience. Also it’s important to remember that you are on a “white foods” diet for 48 hours afterwards so keep that in mind before you book!

Karina V. from Brooklyn, NY (Source: Yelp)

Great dental office, friendly and warm.  The staff is always welcoming and very empathetic.  Dr. Mann seems like a genuinely nice person.  I was told at anonther office that I had 14 cavities so I decided to get a second opinion.  Dr. Mann took all my x-rays digitally and found that I only had 2 cavities.  He showed me on the computer screen what my cavities looke like.  Saved me a boat load of money and my pearly whites.  I’ve been coming every 6 months ever since, no more cavities.  They even fedexed a nice welcome gift to me that I still use.

Ayesha Vashi (Source: Google)

I’ve always been going to this office and I can say they’re the best at what they do. Being a dentist myself I can say that the office staff is efficient, polite and the doctors are experienced and professional. Dr Peter is always very nice to talk to and no one ever pushes treatments on to you. I will always come back here for my dental needs.

Aditya Parikh (Source: Google)

Always felt very comfortable in the office and impressed time and again with the whole experience including the COVID protocols. No wait time. Excellent chair side manner and communication from all the staff members and the Dental Hygienist Yulia and Dr Mann and not pushed or rushed into any treatment. Highly recommend to anyone looking for Dental treatment in the area.

Words cannot express how amazing this place is, the professionalism and the outstanding work from the crew surpasses expectations. My first visit here was for a dental whitening deal I had purvhased feom groupon and I was extremely happy with the results not only was I happy with the results but Dr. Mann also became my primary dentist. I have also had dental implants work done here and I was so amazed with the work done and the results Dr. Mann did that I would definitely recommend this Place, dr. Mann and his crew you will be extremely happy with the results. Your appointments are always taken with pure professionalism, the receptionists always make you feel welcome. I am amazed the level the crew takes to make sure their patients are always happy and always continue to come back for their services. I repeat I will always refer and recommend this place to everyone you will most regret it.

A spa for your teeth. Received the full rejuvenation treatment, cleaning and xoom teeth whitening, it was overdue, my last visit was last summer. I don’t know what excites me more, my teeth feeling good in my mouth after the thorough cleaning, or the bright white look I see in the mirror after over a decade of smoking, drinking cups of dark coffee and many glasses of red wine, and an hour later my smile is at least 5 shades whiter…pure magic, more impressive than any Houdini acts I’ve seen. Last summer got my wisdom tooth pulled, right after a cleaning, didn’t even realize Dr. Mann pulled it out until he said we’re done. Smooth, pain free extraction, can’t believe I didn’t feel a thing. Staff was kind, courteous and professional. Haven’t been scared to go to a dentist for several years already, will bring my teeth back to this spa in 6 months for cleaning.

During these strange times, one oasis of outstanding professionalism is Smile Arts of New York. Dr. Peter Mann and the entire staff of the Smile Arts practice have developed protocols that are reassuring and impressively comprehensive, making Smile Arts the best in its class. My most recent visit was welcoming, encouraging, reassuring, thorough and safe. Beyond the superior art of its dentistry, Smile Arts ensures its patients a protective, welcoming and superior experience. Thank you, Dr. Mann and Smile Arts of New York!

GREAT!!!! I bought a Groupon for Zoom teeth whitening (99 dlls) when I called for an appointment they picked up the phone from the first time (not like some other offices were you have to try few times) and they advised me and give me the right info that it’s important to have a recent cleaning, it was 6 months ago since I had a cleaning so I also booked the cleaning for 150 dlls on the same day as the Zoom teeth whitening. So today I went for everything and it was such a great experience everybody is very helpful and professional I was a bit worried about the zings but it’s no big deal!!! And the result is amazing I will upload a picture!!! I’m really happy with everything! Thx!

Absolutely love this dentist practice. I have been coming for years and could not be a happier patient. Historically, I have needed a lot of dental work but this is not a place that is in for the sell. I came to Smile Arts after I went to another Manhattan dentist and was told I need a full list of work, came to Dr Man who confirmed everything looked great and no work was required, have never looked back since. I love the cleaning and since sticking to my 6-month visits have not had any teeth issues, cavities. It’s hard to find a dentist practice in NY as many are just looking for ways to pay their rent, this is not true of Smile Arts. Book your apt now, you will be happy.

Arthur Z. from New York, NY (Source: Yelp)

A friend of mine told me how he got Zoom whitening, at Smile Arts of NY, for a buck and he was very satisfied. After ignoring the dentist for over a year I decided that it’s time to get my teeth checked and possibly whitened. I called the office, Tammy (sp?) answered my phone call, she was very friendly and helpful. I made my appointment for a Saturday, which is really convenient. My old dentist did not work weekends. The place was really easy to find, on the ground floor of E. 36th and Park ave. The atmosphere is really friendly and warm, everyone seemed genuinely nice and caring. I did not have to wait long to see the dentist, less than 5 minutes of walking in the door I met Dr. Mann. He greeted me with a smile and didn’t make me feel bad for neglecting my mouth. He took some digital x-rays and performed a very gentle but thorough cleaning himself, and polished my teeth. I had some cavities, Dr. Mann took out his dental camera to show me the cavities. I liked knowing what was being worked on before he started. The teeth in the back looked ugly so I opted to get them done on the spot. I hate getting needles, But they apply a very strong cream first and this vibrating gadget that makes you feel almost nothing. It was the most painless injection I ever had. After about 15 minutes I had 3 fillings done and felt absolutely nothing, and my teeth looked great. Plus my dental insurance completely covered the bill. 🙂 I got a goody bag of anti-sensitivity toothpaste and other stuff to use for my whitening in 2 weeks. For my Zoom whitening appointment my teeth were polished first, then they put on a bunch of stuff to protect my gums. I listened to my Ipod as the doctor and his assistant did their thing. I felt no sensitivity during the procedure, probably because I used the toothpaste they gave me. My teeth came out a lot whiter then when I started. They told me about 14 shades lighter. Great experience at an unbelievable price of a buck. Which by the way they told me gets donated to the American Red Cross.

Smile Arts of NY is the best dental office I’ve ever experienced. The staff is very kind; Dr. Mann is brilliant and REALLY efficient!; and they are very cooperative and helpful re: making sure all of your needs are attended to from regular visits to needed procedures to insurance coverage … they have your back! I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Sasha B. from New York, NY (Source: Yelp)

I adore Smile Arts!  I have absolutely hated going to the dentist for as long as I can remember, but it all changed when I started going here. The staff is incredibly friendly, the office is bright and inviting, Dr. Mann is professional but also very caring and appointments are always very timely. My favorite part is the small details, including vitamin D placed on your lips during procedures and calls/emails after you are finished to see how you are doing. I can’t praise them enough. Thank you Smile Arts for changing my mind about dentistry!

I moved from New York to The Poconos in Pennsylvania and finding a dentist who meets my expectations has been an interesting journey. Some of my family members and friends are already patients of Dr. Mann and they speak very highly of his work. Recently, I was having issues with my teeth so I decided to travel to NYC for a consultation. I figured I could spend time with my family and hopefully get my tooth issue resolved. In one visit Dr. Mann and his team were able to identify the issue and take my pain away. On top of that, I had the best cleaning of my life. The staff is very polite and very professional. I highly recommend!

Every visit is a perfect experience which is pretty hard to do at a dentist…the dentists, hygienists and others are always spot on with their work and always make sure you’re comfortable through the process. The teeth whitening is the best I’ve ever received! If you’ve never been, it’s definitely worth a try…you won’t be disappointed!

Aya Z. from West Hollywood, CA (Source: Yelp)

Purchased a deal for ZOOM! Teeth Whitening off Lifebooker. The office by itself is very aesthetic, there is a huge fishtank when you walk in and makes the place looks overall very inviting. The receptionists are genuinely nice and not snarky like in most medical offices. I arranged a cleaning as well since the office takes my insurance. The dental assistant (the hispanic girl with long curly hair, I feel so horrible forgetting her name since she was a total sweetheart) went over the ZOOM procedure with me step-by-step and explained everything to the smallest detail. This impressed me since she was very attentive and wanted me to feel comfortable as much as possible. You can watch Netflix while getting your procedure done which I find very comforting since most people cringe at the thought of dentistry. Overall, I highly recommend Dr Mann. Awesome doctor, awesome staff, awesome location!

Kelly R. from New York, NY (Source: Yelp)

My experience at Smiles Arts of NY could not have been more convenient and exactly what I was looking for! I chipped my tooth late Friday night and woke up on Saturday in a panic, calling multiple dentists in NYC trying to see if anyone could squeeze me in for a quick fix.  Low and behold, I came across Smile Arts of NY and they could not be more accommodating.  They were able to get me in within the hour and took my dental insurance with no problem.  I arrived at Smile Arts of NY, filled out some short paper work, and saw Dr Mann immediately.  After about 10 minutes, I was back to my Saturday with my tooth looking completely back to normal. I could not be more appreciative of how easy Smile Arts of NY made this for me.  Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs an emergency dentist in NYC!

I never leave reviews on anything. But I feel the need to in this situation as it’s important to find a good dentist. I went to smile arts dentist to fix my front tooth that cracked. I know the best choice is to get a crown. But not everyone can afford a crown right away. So I got a temporary bonding done. I spent $450 on a temporary bonding that broke the next day. This dentist did a bad job on this bonding. I know it’s temporary. But I know it should last longer then a day. They expect me to pay another $450 to fix the bad job that they done. Which I find absolutely crazy. I will never go back to this dentist again. They are extremely rude and not understanding what so ever. If you need any cosmetic work done I advise all to go elsewhere.

Dewey S. from Manhattan, NY (Source: Yelp)

I was desperate and ready to take a over night bus to Cape Cod to get a dental crown done in one session using CEREX costing less expensive Cape Cod prices. I was flying soon to Istanbul and my molar cracked apart and my regular dentist with his super interior magazine designed office did dental crowns the old way that took weeks and at New York City prices cost a fortune. Then I found Dr Mann through the internet about CEREX in Manhattan who uses a CEREX technician and depending on the difficulty of the tooth starts at Cape Cod prices. Swimming fish and scented rooms to sooth you as he uses the latest technology and made sure to extra anestisized the tooth before drilling. He explain the procedure. He was extremely gentle with my highly damaged molar near the nerve and I had a temporary implant and the next day and a perfectly fitting permanent dental crown paying what I would have in Cape Cod with out the trip. Dr Mann is very personable and skilled dentist. I finally found my dentist who I trust !!!!!

This is the best dentist office I have ever been too In addition to being a beautiful ,amazingly clean office the entire staff is super awesome. I suffer with anxiety everytime I go to dentist and as soon as I enter this office , I calm down and just feel so much better. Everyone is so super awesome and always makes me feel better.. Anyone that is afraid pain or just has anxiety this is where you should go.. Dr Peter Mann and staff rock!!!

Ok – just got back from a cleaning and Zoom Whitening.  Before going, I was rather hesitant.  Hmmm……the reviews are mostly so good that I wondered if the staff wrote them.  Ummm….a dentist with a Groupon deal?  Makes one wonder.  But……same system as others — the Zoom thing…….and….. half the price?  Ok, I’ll just do it and hope it is the right decision. Seems those are not fake reviews.  The office staff was super nice from the time I first called until I was walking out.  They were extremely informative.  They told me everything I needed to know and answered my questions.  I never felt rushed at all.  No one tried to sell me anything.  After telling me everything they were going to do, they proceeded to do exactly what they said they would do.  Dr. Mann took his time and personally did the cleaning.  I am sure my teeth have never been cleaner.  Then, the whitening Zoom thing with a few minor funky seconds of pain-ish weird feelings (no biggie) and voila – I have much brighter teeth.  They look great  and I am very happy.  Rock-on!  Oh, look at other reviews, Dr. Mann actually made an effort to address previous unhappy patients.  I was impressed by that and told him so when I was in the office.

Tanisha S. from Manhattan, NY (Source: Yelp)

It’s hard to rate a dentist, when I hate going to the dentist with a passion. Don’t get me wrong I go to the dentist regularly but dread it every time. I moved to the city for work and it was time to make sure my teeth were healthy. After hearing wonderful things about Smile Arts, I decided to check it out since they also take my Metlife dental plan. The staff was very warm and inviting from the time I arived till I left. Dr. Mann and his assistant are very gengle, personable and concerned with my well-being. He took the time to describe every little thing to me in plain language and answer all of my silly questions. The visit itself was great! The doc did the cleaning himself, which I prefer to having the assistant doing it. They got the latest technology, x-rays are digital, not the old films. They took x-rays and photos of my teeth, then went through all of them to show me what was going on. Overall this is a great dentist to go to. They always ask if you’re comfortable and how they can make the visit go better. There was no wait to see the doctor and the location is really convenient.

I have been honestly blown away by the concern showed to me after my procedure, it shows that this business cares about the experience of its patience at Smile Arts Of NY .. I wasn’t expecting my concerns to be heard after my visit and post on Yelp. I now feel that I’m not a number or a dollar amount but I am a valued customer and those values are usually possessed by businesses who have longevity. Regardless of the amount spent at Smile Arts Of NY I definitely left feeling like a million bucks. The decor ,allure, the sence of value and appreciation this place has for its patience is outstanding. I’m %100 percent confident in revisiting this office for any future dental appointments. Thanks again for taking the time to change my opinions and for going far and beyond to make sure my concerns are heard Way Cool, two thumbs up

Evan S. from Queens, NY (Source: Yelp)

Got a cleaning/check up done yesterday. A little nervous after reading the reviews as I was fitted for a night guard but was informed it would be fully covered so I’ll report back if there’s any funny business. Great visit, very modern interior including the waiting room and the treatment rooms. There had to be at least 8 rooms that hygienists could work in. I worked with Toni who was super nice, had The Weeknd playing in background as she polished my teeth, took around 15 mins in total. She informed me that I grind my teeth which after my visit I started noticing that I do quite often. I was fitted for a night guard and had a brief visit with the dentist. I’ll be back in a week to pick up the guard. Awesome experience and very close to my office so I’ll definitely be back!

I visited Smile Arts for my wisdom tooth problem at the recommendation of a friend. The facility first did a Rapid COVID anti body test. Someone was sitting in the exam room with me to make sure I didn’t take my mask off till the result of the rapid test was available. This gave me confidence that the practice is taking appropriate measures to protect themselves and the patients from spread of Covid. Dr. Peter Mann was great. My wisdom tooth came out within 5 minutes and it was painless. I would definitely visit again for future dental related issues.

I have been seeing Dr. Peter Mann for close to 10 years, if not more. This has been the best dental office I’ve ever been to in my life and i recommend them to all of my loved ones. I went yesterday for my annual cleaning and had a couple of procedures done. The office is clean, really relaxing vibe, the staff are incredible as well but their covid precautions are close to nothing ive seen, administering a test on the spot. I waited less than 15 minutes before being cleared and it was a breeze. This office covers your lips in vitamin e before any procedure and im sure others are doing the same now – but that thoughtfulness was first experienced there. They also play music or netflix and ask you if you have a preference. I typically dont and sometimes snooze because Dr. Mann and his team are that comforting. I love this dental office and their thoughtfulness. I always look forward to seeing their team. Def check them out for any of your needs. Ive also done whitening there before which was great despite me having sensitive teeth. They are the best!

Manpreet S. from Brooklyn, NY (Source: Yelp)

I recently had my terrible veneers replaced by Dr. Mann. I have to say the results are incredible! I do not recall a time when my smile looked this good. Dr. Mann uses a lab close to his office, so rather than him describing the right color/shape I went to the lab myself. A tech there who was actually going to make my teeth – and happens to have 20 years of experience – assessed me further to determine the perfect color and shape. In this way I had two experts combine to create the best smile I could ever hope for. Many NYC dentist send veneers to California – this takes bout 2 weeks AND if your unhappy with them they send them back & forth btw coasts…needless to say you may find yourself w/ temp teeth for months. All in all this was a great experience & to think I only came to Dr. Mann for a Zoom whitening treatment! Though my temporary veneers kept falling off – the end result has been so fantastic I don’t even care. Not to mention that every time my temps fell off Dr. Mann himself would call me back and tried to accommodate a time for me to return to the office to affix them better (just didn’t work for my schedule). I will definitely refer my friends/family to see/use Dr. Mann for their dental needs esp. veneers. The experience for me has been so positive I am going to make Dr. Mann my primary dentist. Also all the women/girls who work in his office are super sweet and helpful. Thanks Dr. Mann!

Adri P. from New York, NY (Source: Yelp)

I am THE biggest wuss (yes, wuss) when it comes to the dentist. Dr Mann and his staff are extremely kind, caring, and patient. They explain everything they’re doing, ask if you’re comfortable, etc. They have late and weekend hours which makes going for an appointment a breeze. I’ve never waited more than 3 minutes to be seen. Ill def recommend this office and Dr. Mann to anyone. It took me YEARS to find a dentist that I was comfortable with. Before moving to NY I’d seen the same amazing dentist back home from the time I was a tot until I was 20… So it was a blessing to find Dr. Mann.. He’s just as awesome as my doc back home.

Bruce C. from New York, NY (Source: Yelp)

Like most people, I’ve never been eager to visit the dentist. In the past I’ve gone for long stretches without doing so. Last year, some serious tooth pain was keeping me awake at night. I was pretty certain it was going to require a root canal based on a previous dental exam. I’d never had a root canal, but the horror stories of pain and drilling were enough to make me put it off long enough that I finally HAD to go. I needed to find someone who specialized in endodontics. Of all places, I called 1-800Dentist for help. They referred me to Dr. Mann and I couldn’t have been happier. When I called and explained my issue, I was thrilled that they managed to get me in the same day. The ground floor office is warm and comfortable. The reception desk is mounted atop a giant 10 foot long fish tank, and the 50″ flat screen plays a video of some sort of undersea fish documentary. Dr Mann is an affable guy and did a lot to put me at ease. After the initial examination he confirmed my fears that I would need a root canal and explained the procedure. His colleague, Dr. Johnson, the endodontist, did the first part of the procedure–digging out the nerve. (Dr. Johnson shared space with Dr. Mann but now has a separate practice in the same building.) Everyone’s mouth is different and mine is pretty sensitive. I was surprised that what I expected to be a terrifying “Marathon Man” type experience was barely more uncomfortable than an aggressive cleaning. Your mileage may vary. Long story short, after Dr Johnson’s expert removal of my root, Dr Mann did the work to reshape my tooth, take a mold for the crown, insert the post and attach the new crown. All of this with minimal discomfort and within a schedule I could manage. They were also able to work out a payment plan for the significant copay my insurance didn’t cover. I have since taken my kids to Dr Mann–they like him better than their pediatric dentist. My wife (not the crazy ex) has gone to him and liked the practice as well. I’ve referred numerous people to him and even received a surprise thank you of a movie theater gift card in the mail. If you need a dentist and midtown Manhattan is even remotely convenient, do yourself a favor and book an appointment at Smile Arts. You may actually enjoy your next trip to the dentist!

Carol Crawford (Source: Google)

Dr. Mann is excellent and knows what he is doing. He gets straight to the point and problem and handle it. I have a phobia toward the dentist, but I’ve never felt uneasy in the chair (aside from my own personal anxieties about being there). I know that I’m in very capable hands. I’ve referred several of my family members and friends, and they all have expressed their satisfaction with their visit. Ashley and Janice are great as well, very warm and welcoming. Thank you Smiles Arts of NY

When I walked in the office waiting room I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist, filled out a little paperwork, and was taken right in for a cleaning.  All hygienists and assistants were helpful, knowledgeable, had a soft hand, and were very warm.  The office smelled terrific thanks to some well placed candles, everything was very clean, and some modern music was playing on the speakers.  When it came time for my ZOOM whitening, I was given the option to watch anything available on Netflix, which was an exceptional way to pass the time.  My teeth looked and felt great and the promotion for the whitening service CANNOT be beat.  I will definitely be back for my 6-month check up.  Highly recommend and have already.
