Wonderful! I have been a patient since her predecessor Dr Slaven had the practice. Dr Santos has since set the dental care bar that much higher. Drs Santos, Folck and staff are highly professional, knowledgeable and practice with up to date techniques and equipment. They go beyond normal business hours if needed caring for each patient as if they were family. If you’re not seeing them for your dental care you should be.

The Staff was prompt, professional and personable. Their work was fast and efficient. They explained everything they were going to do and didn’t ask questions when my mouth was full of instruments. I have lived from coast to coast, Smile by Design is hands down one of the best family dentists around. We have been coming here for almost two years. My kids love Dr. Santos and all the hygienists there. The dental office is small but has huge personality! They’re located on the second floor of the Pembroke building, lots of parking on the back, bathrooms in the hallway. Dental office is very clean, small child area in reception. Kids pick a small toy and gets a new toothbrush with each visit. My son now wants to be a dentist when he grows up 🙂

Sometimes in life we settle for what we think is good. I had done that with all my previous dentists until a few months ago. By far the BEST referral I have ever gotten was Smiles by Design. Modern equipment, and a friendly atmosphere as well as staff that are professional, prompt, and care about each of their patients. Phone calls to follow up on how I was doing the following day and to ensure I didn’t need to come back for anything. I have been to many different ones and this is by far the best….ever time I get work done I do not feel anything from the numbing in the beginning to the numbing wearing off. Even the next day I am not that sore. If you don’t like needles then this is where you want to go. The ladys are so sweet. DR. I hate going to the dentist but this office makes it bearable. They ae friendly and prompt. They hold the highest standards for cleanliness. They figure out what makes you comfortable and offer it to you without making you feel like a “baby”. Their reminders for appointments are kind and needed (especially for us reluctant visitors). My dentist is the BEST!!!!! In 1995…YES 95, I took my one year to have her first 2 teeth examined and since them my entire family have been patients of hers. Just last week I had dental work done which took 3 hours and it was a breeze. The entire staff made me comfortable as always. Beginning my treat with the hygienist and then to Dr Santos, as always there was no pain(I have no tolerance at all). After the procedure Dr Santos informed me of what I would probably experience afterwards which were hot and cold sensitivity and soreness. I had light soreness and nothing else and that was a surprise because usually with what work I had done sensitivity to hot and cold usually follows. She (herself) called me a couple of days later to see how I was doing. Thank you Dr Santos and Staff. You guys are the best!!!!!

My family and I have be patients of Dr. Santos for 19 years. We became her patients when my daughter who is now 21 yrs old got her first two teeth. We moved to Suffolk just before she moved from General Booth to Pembroke and the drive to receive out dental treatment by Dr. Santos is well worth it! When I lived in VA Beach from 2007-2009, our dentist was Dr. Stephanie Santos and I always had a great experience there so I decided to look her up when we moved back recently. I was not disappointed. It wasn’t difficult getting an appointment within the next month and the recommendations given for my teeth were not aggressive. My daughter was needing a referral for braces and the orthodontist she recommended was super nice and conservative as well. I am glad I decided to go back to Dr. Santos’ office.

Dr. Santos is a great dentist! I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great dentist. She is gentle, has excellent bedside mannerism, very thorough, keeps your dental health a priority and follows up with you personally after surgical procedures or procedures that may cause you some discomfort. Her staff is very friendly and professional as well. I was recommended to her by my fiancée after I wasn’t able to be seen by my previous dentist while experiencing great discomfort for over a week. Saw Dr Santos today for a crown replacement. Although going to the dentist is not in my top 10 things do do , it is very important and Dr Santos and her team make the experience like seeing old friends. Dr Santos has a gentle touch, no pain or discomfort. The assistants are personable, cheerful and professional. I have seen several of the hygienists, and although I do have a favorite, they have all been wonderful to see. I cannot speak highly enough or recommend the Dentists and the Staff more highly!
