After avoiding the dentist for a few years and finally getting insurance, I decided to check this place out and am grateful I’ve found this office! Everyone is kind, efficient, and make you feel really comfortable. They also seem much more honest than places I’ve gone to in the past. After my first check up and a cleaning, my next appointment was set. Sitting in the chair, I get a lot of anxiety. I teared up quite a bit during x-rays and the assistant was beyond understanding and sweet towards me. I can be overly emotional so the kindness was much appreciated! Dr. Pedersen extracted my bottom wisdom teeth a few months ago. Apparently one tooth came out with ease and the other was a bit more of a problem than expected. (I highly recommended nitrous oxide if you don’t like the sounds and want the procedure to seem like it happens in the blink of an eye.) Regardless, they came out, numbed me up some more afterwards, went over after care, and sent me on my way. The recovery wasn’t as terrible as I expected and they healed nicely. The office even called to check up on me a few hours after.

I was lucky to be introduced to Dr. Pedersen and his team a few years ago. I hadn’t been to the dentist in 3 years and they made me feel right at home! The office is clean, the hygienists are very nice and honest, and Dr. Pedersen has the golden touch! Billing has been smooth and I’ve never felt that I didn’t need anything that the Dr has recommended. I’ll be back in January!!

I truly love Dr. Dan Pederson. This place is so friendly and efficient. The pricing is obviously based on your insurance and luckily I have PPO. They are very informative and what is needed for you including ways to save you money with each procedure. They will provide a breakdown on what dental work needs to be done and how much it will be. They are very accommodating. Also, they are very honest! I got reimbursed back a lump sum of money instead of having it “credited” to my next checkup. Who can say that they received a check from their dentist? I did!

I initially went in for my 6 month teeth cleaning and Dana took care of me! She is thorough, kind, personable and funny. Such a relief to know my teeth have a new home. I have been going to them for many years now. I have always been nervous when I go to any dentist, but I am always happy with the outcome when I leave Smile Central in Irvine. When my crown broke, they scheduled me as early as I could get there. The temporary crown fit like a glove and the permanent crown looks and feels even better then the old crown. The Hygienists are always very nice and accommodating to my being anxious in their office. Dr. Pedersen and his Dental Assistants are wonderful. I highly recommend going to Smile Central.

Fantastic experience! I highly recommend Smile Central Dental for the whole family! I called to make appointments and was able to get everyone scheduled within a few days. The personal (not auto-generated) reminder phone calls were a nice touch! The recommendations took into consideration our personal preferences, were not pushy, and came with the genuine feel of caring. Dana was exceptional as a hygienist! She did the most gentle cleaning I have ever had! She was so gentle that my twelve year old enjoyed her visit. If you can believe it, my three year old cooperated for her very first checkup and cleaning with a sparkling smile afterward! I cannot say enough great things about the kindness, professionalism, and expertise of Dr. Pedersen and his team! We will be going back for all of our dental needs.

I think she spent over an hour cleaning my teeth! Even though my appointment was before the doctor arrived, I didn’t mind because she spent so much of her time with me doing such a fantastic job. She made recommendations to Dr. Pederson who agreed that I needed some fillings replaced and Jason up front kindly scheduled the appointment for me. A week later I was back and had Christina assist the doctor this time. The procedure was quick and surprisingly, after the numbing wore off, I wasn’t in any pain! This place is great and their staff is even better!

Dr. Pedersen and the team at Smile Central Dental are very professional and provide a high level of individualized service. My family and I have been going to Dr. Pedersen for 15 years now–while he was at Country Club Family Denistry and now at Smile Central Dental. We have been extremely happy with his work. We have never had any pain–he is so careful, gentle and skilled–through fillings, kiddie tooth extractions required for our orthodonic care, cleanings, and crowns–we have been so pleased. We are treated like we are part of the family. Best dentist we have ever gone to. Now in San Diego–and we still make the drive to see Dr. Dan.

This review is long overdue, but better late than never. This is the best dentist I have ever been to. The office is clean and modern and the service is outstanding. The hygenists are super sweet and very professional. They use the digital xrays so there is less radiation. Dr. Pederson also bonded a couple of my teeth before my wedding and they look awesome. It’s been almost two years and they still look great (went to two different dentists before and the bonding always came off within a few weeks). I moved back to LA so I haven’t been to SCD in quite some time, but I may make the trip back down there just for SCD. They’re that good.
