So – it has been almost 2yrs now that I have been going to Smile Design on 57th St? I have had multiple dental issues that “no one else was able to resolve” let alone giving me hope that I did have options? You remained positive/encouraging and never wavered . Dr Gause has accomplished and surpassed my wildest of dreams when it comes to the appearance of my teeth/mouth/oral cavity. I actually clean my teeth twice (or more) a day for the full 5 minutes (or more) not because I have to but because I love looking at my teeth. I have invested in a good quality water/floss pik (as per your dental assistants advice) which is amazing. The dental assistants have been so patient with this ’70yo’ and I am forever grateful. You just have no idea what you have done for me – My only complaint? That I did not find you sooner – Just wonderful — Simply wonderful My son is seeing you now – Working on my ‘wonderful’ husband as I am writing this. Thank You 🙂

I finally met Dr. Gause and his team today for the first time and they are absolutely amazing! They made me feel so comfortable and so at ease. Hands down this is the best dental experience I have ever had from the initial first visit! May God continue to bless them all for their kindness and compassion towards their patients.

I have been a loyant patient of Dr. Lee Gause’s for 2 years now. I have had lifelong conditions with my teeth and been in and out of bad dental offices and Lee is the only exception. Let’s start with how clean, well designed & welcoming his office is. All the rooms are equipped with the latest & greatest technology. There is great art to look at while you are in your appointment. The rooms are floor to ceiling glass so it feels really transparent. And all the staff are so friendly too! I’ve always been scared of filling cavities but when I went to get mine done today with Dr. Gause, I couldn’t believe how quick and pain free it was. It was absolutely pain free. It was incredible. My teeth has dramatically improved since I started coming to Dr. Gause and I think it’s also because I am always more than happy to make an appointment since the experience is always so pleasant. If I can give this clinic a 10 stars I would!!!

I’ve always been a dreamer, and I dream BIG. I can also screw up on a BIG scale, and when it came to taking care of my teeth by way of regular cleanings, I flunked out, and miserably so. Periodontitis/Gum disease and procrastination resulted in my receiving rather troubling news, once I finally made it to the dentist…Plaque had eaten away at my bone mass. My treatment plan: 10 extractions, Yes, TEN, and Implants. Although I had confidence in my wife’s (excellent) dentist, I wanted a second opinion. Enter Dr. Lee Gause of Smile Design Manhattan, to whom I was referred as result of conversing (ok, crying my dental blues) on the shoulder of a neighborhood clothier. Two Saturdays later, I nervously arrived at my appointment, somberly accepting that most of my upper teeth were being removed, consoled by the fact that a customized temporary bridge would be in place when I awoke, and quite impressed that several titanium posts would also be implanted. Estimated surgery time: 2.5 hours. As fate would decree, I had lost so much bone mass that Bone Grafting was deemed necessary, (unless I wanted dentures, which was NOT an option) and my surgery stretched into 4.5 hours. Once awake enough to walk, Gause took my arm in fraternal fashion and led me to the waiting area where I dozed on my wife’s shoulder for about 20 minutes, and to my home I went. The 11:00 song (I’m a theater and opera performer): WHO EVER HEARD OF GOING THROUGH A PROCEDURE THAT EXTENSIVE, AND ONLY NEEDING 2 600mg Ibuprofen, AND GOING TO WORK THE NEXT DAY, PAIN-FREE? I DID!! And of course, my following appointment didn’t come quickly enough, as I HAD to know what kind of wizardry Gause and his brilliant oral surgeon partner, Dr. Spencer Howard were practicing. Dr. Gause explained that the longer the human body endures trauma, the more painful the process, including painful recovery. I liked his analogy of touching a hot pot handle. If one bear-handedly grabs a pot handle, instinct makes us drop it (and the food it contains) without thinking. Or, hold onto it and risk a second degree burn. Who does THAT?! Dr. Howard practices along that principle: Less time, Less pain. He removed my 10 teeth in a matter of mere minutes! There wasn’t even any noticeable swelling. Incredible!! To make a solid believer out of me, Dr. Gause showed me a video of Howard removing 4 IMPACTED WISDOM TEETH at a speed resembling how long it takes to remove food particle with a toothpick. 12 months later, I have a smile that rivals ANY porcelain veneer. I’m not bragging. It’s simply the truth. Can it get any better? Absolutely, because Gause and his team are some of the most caring and relationship-oriented folk you will ever encounter. Genuine sweetness and consummate professionalism. What a combo.

Very clean bright atmosphere, Social distancing at its best with very competent staff ,Procedure was explained in entirety by both assistant and the doctor Process was as you would expect getting your teeth done with minimum amount of pain I took one set of the painkillers and surprisingly woke up with no pain no bleeding so in all my experience was very good cheers Dr. Gause

I have known Dr. Gause for 11 years now, he has been phenomenal, I have done deep cleaning, crown, veneers, root canal, bleaching and never left the office short of confidence or unsatisfied. Kudos to him and and his dentists, I sincerely recommend, your smile is in good hands. He is a great individual and has a passion for modern dentistry and keeps working on to surpass his own achievements. (I wish there were 10 stars)

Dr. Gause and his team are absolutely amazing. I’ve had a life long fear of the dentist and Dr. Gause and his team did a great job of putting me at ease. Their treatment coordinator on staff is very knowledgeable and helped me to understand how to navigate my dental insurance with the treatment plan they gave me. Their oral surgeon is friendly, fast and the tooth extraction I had was actually painless – I couldn’t believe it. Thank you Dr. Gause and team! And shout out to Thatiane, the best dental hygienist ever! Obrigada Thatiane! For once in my life, I’ve found a great dental practice and I will always come back!

I’ve been seeing Smile Design since moving to NYC 3 1/2 years ago. I’ve recently inquired about getting an oral appliance mouth guard for sleep apnea and I can’t say enough great things about this office and their process. They made is as painless as possible by dealing with the insurance themselves and keeping in touch with me regarding the timeline. I always get the true sense that it’s about the patients well-being.

Dr Lee Gause and Smile Design Manhattan give the best service and make you feel like a valued customer. They changed the experience of dentistry for me, from one being painful and uncomfortable, to pleasant and safe. From the moment you walk in the office their front desk is super warm and welcoming. All smiles and professionalism, top notch treatment. The best dental experience of my life. Will never let anyone touch my sensitive mouth ever but Smile Design. I have a beautiful smile now and they recently performed a surgery removing an extra impacted tooth that was infected and it has healed as if it never happened. I went to Smile Design Manhattan for a checkup, cleaning, and X-rays. The receptionists were extremely nice and helpful. The dental hygienist, Gazelle (I’m probably misspelling her name, sorry!) was absolutely fantastic. I have super sensitive teeth and gums but I couldn’t feel anything and she did such a wonderful job, it looked like I had my teeth whitened. She also really took the time to go through proper oral hygiene habits with me. Both Gazelle and Dr Lee Gause were professional, pleasant, and thorough. I warmly recommend.

A groupon deal got me in the door for a cleaning and a whitening. It was a two-part appointment and after the second one, I was ready to sign-up for my 6th month cleaning and stick with Dr. Lee. It’s refreshing to have a dentist office sport iPads and a flashy office but underneath be extremely friendly, professional and good at what they do. Props to all of the staff!
