I have had nothing but exceptional service at the Smile Design Studio. I have actually been seen by all three doctors on separate occasions and they are all very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. From the moment that my family and I walked in the door, we were greeted with a smile from their receptionist and felt right at home. The whole ambience is very relaxing and I just felt at ease. Aside from dental work, I have also had a facial as well as skin care tips and advice from Michelle Wright. I’ve had incredibly positive experiences with Dr Maria Wright and her team. During the usual cleanings, her team is friendly, quick, and painless. However, my implant experience earned the 5 stars. I worked with Dr Wright and another partner group in Silver Spring to have gum sculpting + implant surgery and it can not look better. Dr Wright did the implant herself, and the first one wasn’t an exact fit. Instead of settling, she immediately recommended we try again with an adjustment. Once it came back, it was beautiful and fit perfectly with a natural appearance. Simply great. Also unlike other dentists, Dr Wright doesn’t try and push unnecessary procedures or surgeries on you if you don’t need them.

While I have not experienced their dental services yet, I received a relaxing hour long facial from Michelle Wright. Michelle knows skin very well and knows which dermalogica products work best for your skin. Their rating should be (much) higher. I looked into the reviews and the lowest one seems to be left by a competitor. This is a very nice office. I was a little more impressed to find out ‘celebrities’ are regular clients and I see why. I can’t think of a nicer doctor’s office and they have attentive assistants. This has to be the best kept secret in Bethesda. Michelle Wright is a fantastic skin care specialist with a warm and confident personality who does the best waxing in the business. I had just moved to Bethesda and did not yet have a dentist when I broke a tooth in half. The manager of my building told me that there were dentists offices a couple of blocks away on Wisconsin Ave. I googled and after checking reviews I settled on Smile Design Studio. I called and was fit in that day. From the first call to make an appointment to the completion of my procedure I had an incredible experience. All of the members of staff were very warm, welcoming and professional. Dr Michael Wright is who you want as your dentist. He is an extremely talented prosthodontist, who communicates clearly with regard to what your options are, and he never rushes when explaining the course of treatment and results that you can reasonably expect. After the procedure was complete all I can say is it was way easier than expected and healing faster than anyone expected. I highly recommend that anyone who needs dental work done go to Smile Design Studio on Wisconsin Ave in Bethesda Md.

Speaking from experience, I am a man who has seen a lot of dentists in my time, from the likes of Duke Medical Center, to U.S. Navy hospitals, Walter Reed Army Hospital, and many others. In light of all those top named hospitals with excellent care of their patients, I have to rate Dr. Michael Wright at Smile by Design above them all, it’s extremely hard to find a good dentist, but when you find one who goes the extra mile because he’s the best at what he does and cares about you the patient, it says a lot about his Character as a man, his responsibility to his profession, and his admiration to the field of dentistry. Every experience I’ve at at this dental office has been positive. Most recently, I had one tooth that had to be extracted due to a root problem. I was amazed to learn that Dr. Michael Wright could extract and put in an implant on the same day. The procedure was painless and I was delighted with the care and outcome. Dr. Wright explained every step of the process and his staff was expert and supportive. The other dentists at this location also are superior – Dr. Willis and Dr. Maria Wright. You can’t go wrong! Pricing is fair and they explained my insurance carefully. I recommend this dental office for continuing care and any emergency. They offer free parking (in Bethesda!) under the building and the office is in a convenient location.

Greetings all! I’ve been reading these bad reviews on Yelp and am a little confused because my experience at Smile Design Studio (SDS) was completely the opposite of what I’ve read. So, I feel that it’s my duty to make sure people know that SDS is a great dental office to go to. I’ve had the pleasure of having dental work done at SDS by Dr. Maria Wright. Dr. Wright is a cool girl, who made me feel extremely comfortable while I was in the hot spot – the dental chair :-). Additionally, the office ambience is very relaxed and warm. I have recommended family and friends to SDS, who continue to return for all of their dental needs. It seems like the folks on Yelp have some sort of entitlement issue because, let’s be honest, people make mistakes, people have bad days, and sometimes things do not go as planned, especially when it comes to running a business, but I would not ever say that I wouldn’t go back to SDS because overall the service is great.

Been a patient of Dr Wrights for years now. Have had lots of intense dental work completed. Don’t know if I could have gone thru this much dental work without Dr. Wright patience, kindness, explanations of procedures & his well mannered approach. (YES, I was when completed) His assistant Tia was by my side, while I was having multiple visits back to back, Tia was always there with GREAT encouragement & giving me a pat on the back when needed. I went to see Dr R Wright to replace my old bridge. I was not totally happy after a few weeks. A year or so later, it broke right in the middle front teeth. He wasn’t available when I called to be seen . His colleague did not tell me that it was broken, she filed and went home.I went back 2 days later because I knew something was not right. Finally, Dr Wright returns and tells me that the connector broke and requiring replacement. I asked for my money back, he was to contact that lab who created the partial.Still not resolved. I sought peer review for mediation as advised. RIchard Wright refused the mediation I have asked for my money back, went to seek peer review for mediation and he is of course refusing. IS THIS THE KIND F DENTIST YOU WANT TO WORK IN YOUR MOUTH??

Smile Design Studio is one of the best dental offices I have ever visited. The atmosphere is unlike anything that you have ever experienced in the past when going to a dental office. This is a very beautiful dental office with absolutely beautiful suites where your dental work is performed. The dentists are simply excellent, and perform quality care to keep your smile and teeth healthy. There are no long waits or crowded office before you are seen by the dentist. The staff is always pleasant and professional. In addition they accept dental insurance and the cost is comfortable to that of other dentist offices in the metro area. The difference is that this office goes above and beyond to ensure your dental visit is an enjoyable experience.
