Dr.Rai is by far the best Dentist I have came across. I have dental anxiety due to being forced to have dental work done when I was a teenager. Dr.Rai will make sure you are out of pain and in no pain while he is doing a procedure. His staff Zio & Annie are SUPER AMAZING and so knowledgeable. CLEAN OFFICE, SMELLS GREAT, LOOKS GREAT! I have lived in DC for 10 years and have gone to a number of dentists over the years, but Smile Loft Bethesda is truly the ONLY dentist I trust. I have now seen them for 3 years and I could not recommend them enough. After seeing so many other dentists upselling you on thousands of dollars of preventative dental procedures, Smile Loft is the first honest, transparent dentist I have visited in DC. They are fast, community focused, easy to schedule appointments with, and very friendly. They use a water pik for cleaning, which provides a much calmer experience for patients with dentist anxiety – no scratching and scraping! The front office is only available a few times a week, but when you leave a message they always respond back. I would HIGHLY recommend this dentist office!

When I first started going to the Smile Loft in Laurel I really did not have a nice smile do to poor teeth. They completely changed that for me. I have been to numerous dentist over past several years trying to find a dentist that actually is all about what he advertises and never found one until yesterday. I am a person from the healthcare industry that is saddened by the down fall in compassion. Dr. Rai is the most compassionate physicians I have ever met and most importantly his compassion is 100% real!!! I have a complicated situation and he sat with me and explained every detail and made sure I understood. I’ve never had a dentist spend so much time explaining everything to me. I love everything! Dr. Rai, Dr. Reddy, and the staff they care and make you feel comfortable and special. I highly recommend this practice. The team is phenomenal! I love Dr. Rai. The office knows I’m literally terrified of the dentist (I absolutely hate going to the dentist). I hate the noises, the smells, the grinding sounds on your teeth…it’s like nails on a chalkboard. Aside from my own personal anxiety, I’ve had pleasant experiences with their office and everyone has been super friendly. Dr Rai has worked me into his schedule to accommodate me, and I’ve never had any issues getting an appt. My hygienist is also wonderful! She’s always really gentle and informative. I’m currently doing Invisalign’s and I feel reassured that I’ll be done with them soon because I’m over it (ha ha). Needless to say, I’d recommend this office to someone who is a little leery like myself, or just in general because they are great!

From the moment I walked in the door, I was welcomed by an amazing team of front desk staff who made sure My check-in experience was flawless! The environment was impeccable… very clean, beautiful decor, and very comfy furniture. Dr. Rai and Dr. A are both so personable and extremely friendly and made sure my experience was pain free!!! Seriously, I normally get a little anxiety in dental offices, but these docs made sure I was comfortable and safe while they perfected my smile ! They actually put me first as the patient and they actually took the time to make sure I understood all pre/post procedure care instructions…. ( and they didn’t try to hassle me for money)… Also, the dental assistant was so nice and gentle, she also did everything she could to make sure I had a good experience…100% satisfied, definitely the best dental experience I had in 30 years!

Outstanding service. The office was clean and modern. They sent me pre-registration paper work which was very helpful. Perhaps the most important part of this visit was the dentist. He was not rough handed. You know that getting your annual teeth cleaning can either be torture or smooth. My experience was smooth. I plan to go back in 6 months to get my teeth cleaned again and also take advantage of Zoom lightening. Park in the back of the building. The nice lady at the desk gave me that tip.

They talk to you about life while waiting for your mouth to go numb. Here, you’re treated like a human being who is being treated by human beings. It feels good to call or walk in and be recognized immediately by first name. Injections are painful but necessary. When I get a lidocaine injection there, someone taps on my shoulder to distract me from the pain. Their care is nuanced, personal, and professional. I highly recommend Smile Loft.

I hadn’t seen a dentist in awhile and having to go looking for one that not only accepted my Insurance but dear god what kind of treatment was i gonna get…right off the bat Melissa who is the office manager was exceptionally pleasant. The hygienist was very careful during my cleaning and very knowledgeable about what she was doing…the Dentist was amazing spoke so that i could understand what my dental work was going to consist of and why these procedures needed to be done again extremely careful with his hands and very knowledgeable.
