Hi YELP! Apparently you think I don’t exist as my review from a few years back mysteriously disappeared In the famous words of Brother James Brown “D@mn right I am somebody” So…yes…on to the dentist. In my 59 years on the planet with several dentist offices under my belt, few can come close to the service provided by this office Dr Coombs and his staff take the utmost care and consideration to make each visit safe and productive. I’ve had a lot of dental work done over the years and more recently I’ve had quite a bit of work done at Smile Services and the quality of the work, the professional attitude and most of all the kindness of everyone on staff is more than notable. It must be a great place to work as no one appears stressed out, yet I can imagine with all that befalls dentistry and the health industry these days there must be challenges. Covid-notwithstanding even. This place has me feeling safe and I’ve now had quite a few visits during the pandemic as I have a lot of restoration work to be done. Each time I left feeling safe and better than I did going in. EVERYONE I’ve seen coming and going to this office over the years gets treated well too! YELP—please do not take this review down this time–thank you!

Best dentist I have been to! I travel from New Jersey to see Dr. Coombs and his staff because of their excellent service. Dr. Coombs is very patient and detailed oriented. He is very skilled, and I always feel well informed about my dental needs. His staff is very friendly and professional, and the office is clean and well organized. The staff was professional. They scheduled my appointment in a timely manner and understood the urgency for the two root canals to be scheduled. I was terrified due to a previous bad experience, but after Dr. Coombs assured me of every step, I relaxed and literally went to sleep. I also admire the time Dr.Coombs gave to each patient answering their questions privately. He does dentistry quite different with a special flare, which allows his passion to transfer to his patients. I left his feeling empowered to be consistent with my dental hygiene and care. Thanks to Dr. Coombs And his wonderful staff!

I would highly recommend Smiles Services DC. Dr. Coombs has been my dentist for several years now. I have had a few cleanings, two root canals, and most recently an extracted tooth which will soon be replaced by an implant by Dr. Coombs. No matter the procedure, Dr. Coombs has always exceeded my exceptions. He is highly skilled at dentistry but what most strikes me is his ability to ease my nerves and keeps me informed throughout the process at each step of the way. What’s more, I am always surprised at how quickly I am able to recover after each procedure. I appreciate Dr. Coombs’ attention to detail and the time he takes with his patients, never feeling hurried, despite the high demand of his services. I’ve also heard wonderful things about his partner Dr. Granger. They are both beloved dentists in the community. I also want to share my compliments to the staff, from the front office staff to the dental assistants in the back. They are all professionals at their craft and make you feel at home. They always do their best to accommodate my family and I and promptly respond to any questions or concerns I may have. Finally, I appreciate the little things, like the digital sign-in, family-friendly TV shows, and updated magazines in the waiting area….and course the cleanliness throughout the office. I know how challenging it can be to find a good fit for dentists, but I can confidently say that Smile Services offers the whole package. Thank you Dr. Coombs, Dr. Granger, and team!

I have been going to Dr.Coombs for the past 2 years, and I must say I have no complaints…. His entire staff is very friendly (which you don’t see often), the office is always clean, and the service is great! Also, Dr.Coombs bedside manners are awesome…. he really takes his time, and throughout your procedure he walks you through the process, which really helps to make treatment less apprehensive. If you’re looking for a dentist, I would definitely recommend Dr.Coombs practice… you won’t regret it!

Until I visited Smile Services DC I did not know what having a good dentist experience was! I am treated as a human being(something that would appear to be fundamental, but isn’t) they cast no aspersions over my lack of income and are very flexible and willing to work with you. Dr Coombs is a very pleasant man who obviously treats his staff well because they respond accordingly (believe me, I had a dentist that terrorized his whole staff, but they stayed with him and so did I for far too long) He and all of his associates, assistants etc. are VERY knowledgeable and are more than willing to answer questions. comprehensive services with thorough explanations before any work is done. Friendly staff in a very suitable environment. I had to have many visits to take care of a host of issues, and seriously looked forward to each and every visit!

I was referred to Dr Coombs and Smile Services DC by my primary dentist for evaluation and root canal work. This is a team of consummate professionals. The front office is courteous, warm and inviting. Staff have excellent phone and office manners. Paperwork is performed with the utmost care and discretion. Wait time is reasonable and when you are in the back office, every encounter was thoroughly professional. The area was immaculate and thoroughly cleaned between each patient. The entire staff presented as honest and knowledgeable with questions and very organized. Dr Coombs is very professional and rather no nonsense in demeanor. His delivery in service is second to none. No pain means NO PAIN with him. In addition, he is quick yet thorough. You never feel rushed but the work is done flawlessly. I tried to go somewhere else because I live so far away. But truth is when you have an amazing dentist who is honest, cares about making sure you feel good and the work is done right it’s worth flying for great service. From Detroit all the way to DC and every trip I’ve made is beyond worth it. I’m truly blessed to know Dr. Coombs a dentist who advances with the times and is hip to the latest treatments and techniques.
