I’m taking the pandemic seriously and I have some anxieties about going to the dentist, so going to the dentist right now was a hard choice for me. Dental pain made the decision for me. Dr. Julio Terra is my fave. This is only my second visit to his office. He has supplanted my favorite dentist of all time–and that woman used to hum to me while she worked. Dr. Terra is instantly calming, very professional while still being personable, and seems to really want to do good work. I went in for a cleaning, with new dental pain. I told him. He said if it hurts too much, raise your left arm. Dude. DUDE! I didn’t even get as far as raising my left arm and he stopped and checked on me. I feel safe in his office. It’s been…. umm… let’s not count the years… a long time since I felt anything close to safe at a dentist office–even with my humming dentist. So. Yeah. I like these people.

Dr Terra and his staff are always pleasant and efficient. You’re always seen by the Dr and there’s never a long wait. Pleasant spa music in the background, and a hot towelette to wipe your face with after you’ve been stuck in a dentist chair. Dr Terra takes an interest in his patients and is great with kids as well! Got to have a great smile to greet a great dentist with!

I love going to The Smile Spa and Dr. Terra. Every time I go his staff and himself always cater to the patient and make the experience wonderful. I’ve had great results with my teeth and Dr. Terra is always willing to work with me and help my smile look the best possible! I recommend going to his office!

Dr. Julio is the best dentist on earth! Gentle, never makes you hurt and explains every step of the way. My insurance is complicated and the ladies at the front desk always figure it out, no matter what it takes. Excellent service.

This place is the most wonderful place ever for getting work done on your teeth. They are very honest, go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, and are very kid friendly! I was told ages ago that I needed all of this dental work by another dentist, which cost a TON of money. I came here and was told that I didn’t need all of that work. Just a few things. Dr. Terra is very honest and explains every little detail to you so that you understand what is going on. I love this place so much!

I have been going to Dr. Terra for over 4 years, best decision made. He is professional, knowledgeable in state of the art dentistry. I doubted of getting invisalign, however he helped me make the right choice and I don’t regret it.  Happy with all dental work performed. I have been taking my family to Dr. Terra since 2015 and I have always been overly satisfied. He understands human nature, the financial responsibility we have when it comes to improving or fixing our teeth and he is really great with kids. Warm and welcoming and very detailed! Highly recommend!!

I am probably not the only one that has a hard time when the time comes to see the dentist, but this time around was a big deal. My front tooth had a big fracture and I already had major work done on my other teeth. I was very afraid thinking about all the work that needed to be done and the cost. My friend told me about Dr. Julio Terra, she also had some major work done with him and she really liked him…and I was impressed by her beautiful smile. I made an appointment that same day and I saw him 3 days later. He was very nice and knowledgeable, he explained what I need it to have done and Lisa at the front desk went over the paper work and cost. It was not small project and it was going to take some coordinating, but they made some accommodations and we started the job a week later. It has been 3 months now, since the job was done and I wanted to wait before I wrote this review to make sure I know how I felt. Well… I love it, Dr. Julio Terra is a very talented dentist, he is extremely gentle and he really cares. It took about 2 months from beginning to end and he checked on me all the way through it. He even called me a couple of times to see how I was doing. I have visited many dentists in my years and I have to say that Dr. Terra has been the best dentist I have ever had. I felt secure with his experience, professionalism and his bedside manor was impeccable. I am very glad I found him and his staff. Thank you Dr. Terra, for giving my smile back. 

Dr. Terra is the best dentist I have had. So glad I found him. He is gentle and caring and has a wonderful demeanor. Very positive guy. His staff are fantastic and friendly. Always a good experience. The office looks and feels more like a spa than a dentist office. They don’t overbook so I normally get seen at the appointment time. Dr. Terra personally did all the work. I had deep cleaning, polishing and a few fillings. The experience was more pleasant than other dental experience I have had. My son also came to see Dr. Terra at my recommendation and he likes Dr. Terra. He had cleaning and his wisdom teeth pulled. Much gratitude to Dr. Terra and his team. I Highly recommend Dr. Terra.

Dr. Terra and his staff are the BEST! They are great about accommodating my schedule. They are very kid friendly, they makes my kids (8yrs & 5yrs) feel so comfortable. I no longer get complaints about going to the dentist. Dr. Terra genuinely cares about his patients and their smiles. I can’t imagine going to any one else.

I have been coming to this wonderful dental office since shortly after they opened. In spite of moving about 100 miles away, I continue to remain a patient of Dr. Terra. I have suffered with TMJ for many years and Dr. Terra was determined to help me overcome the condition. He recommended Invisalign to help correct my problem. I have now been pain free for 8 months. My teeth are almost perfectly straight, along with my bite. I have a few more trays to go and everyone notices my new and improved smile. The office staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. They take my Delta insurance and offer really good pricing on uncovered dental procedures. Going to the dentist here is like going to a spa. There is tranquil music playing and the dental instruments a quieter than any other dental office I have been to. They continue to use the most technologically advanced dental equipment available. I have experienced little pain to no pain through each procedure. I would highly recommend this office for anyone who needs dental work done.

He is a wonderful and very caring and patient dentist. He even cleans my teeth instead of having a hygienist do it. I have been going to him for over 5 years! He is really great with my daughter, too

My family and I have been with Smile the Spa for almost 10 years and I am not planning to go anywhere else. The facility is very clean and uses sophisticated equipments. Dr. Julio is the best dentist in town. He is very friendly, caring and gentle with you. He makes every visit a pleasant one. My kids enjoy their visits each time they go see Dr. Julio and always raves about how gentle he is that they didn’t even feel pain when he’s injecting numb shots in their gums. Dr. Julio is very experienced and knowledgeable in his fields and I feel very comfortable when ever I go in for any procedures. Highly recommend everyone come see Dr. Julio and I promise you’ll won’t be disappointed.

Excellent dental care. As usual I didn’t like going to the dentist but with Dr. Terra is different. I really like the spa like environment and the quality of the equipment and people. One think very nice too is that the place doesn’t smell like most of the other dental clinics. It smells very well. Thanks Dr. Terra, for making my smile beautiful!

Throughout my dental history, I have had several terrible experiences making me extremely leery of going to the dentist.  However, Dr. Terra has broken that phobia.  He is the most patient, caring and empathetic dentist I have ever had.  I am honored to say that I have been his patient for many years and will continue to be a loyalty as long as he practices.  I would recommend Dr. Terra to anyone young or old!

I absolutely love Dr. Terra!!!  My favorite dentist that I’ve ever had.  I call him the pain free dentist!!! I’m a self admitted sissy. When I needed fillings I was terrified. I barely felt the shot. Seriously!!! My daughter also goes to Dr Terra and she was afraid the first time she needed fillings. She says she doesn’t feel anything. I referred my mother to him and she loves him as well. Great technique! Beautiful office and wonderful staff. I was crushed when my insurance had  changed and I couldn’t see him for a year. You will love it. As well as you can love going to the dentist that is.

I have been going to Dr. Terra for over three years. He worked on straightening my teeth and correct my bite with Invisalign braces. The office is now equipped with a modern teeth/bite scanner that creates a digital 3D modeling of your teeth/bite. Its pretty cool to instantly see how your teeth currently look and how they will look in some time. Fast forward a couple months and now I have teeth that have given me the confidence to smile. I’ve also had some fillings and cleaning done here. I think it goes without saying but getting fillings is not pleasing. Dr. Terra always went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable to make getting fillings less daunting. Unfortunately for me, I am moving out of state so will need to find a new dentist. Dr. Terra and Smile The Spa have definitely set the bar high. I highly recommend Smile The Spa.

Dr. Terra is a great dentist. I haven’t been to the dentist in years due to the decades of poor experience with my childhood dentist/orthodontist. After continuously telling myself for years that I’ll find a new dentist, I finally went on Yelp a month back to do thorough research for local dentists in the greater LA/OC area, and I happened to run into Smile the Spa, which not only had great reviews, but the “spa-like” experience many reviewers were referring to was intriguing. I decided to give them a call to make an appointment for general cleaning and oral check. The front desk is extremely friendly and gives you text reminders for appointments, which I love. My first visit, I had general cleaning and x-rays done for potential cavities. My second visit, Dr. Terra worked on my cavities on right side of mouth. Third visit, he worked on my left side. I’m now set for my fourth visit for teeth whitening ! Dr. Terra is very knowledgeable in his field, friendly, and even has a great sense of humor and great personality. I am very happy to have found an amazingly competent dentist after years of searching with whom I plan to consistently visit for many years to come !
