This was my first visit to this dentist and my experience was amazing. I called on Sunday with a chipped filling that was causing pain and Sheri took my request and tried to get me in as soon as possible, getting me in the next day. She was in contact even after hours (and it was Mother’s Day) and when I came in it was quick and easy. The assistant was really nice and she talked with me the whole time and let me know when she was going to take the x rays and everything. De. Kumar was also really nice and he let me know exactly what he was doing and they asked if I had any questions and were thorough with my exam and my dental health concerns. He filled my chipped filling instead of giving me a cap right away. I’ve already scheduled my cleaning with them because they were so nice for taking me on such short notice and really taking care of me and making me feel comfortable. Highly recommend them!

If I could put a thousand stars I would. I was in unbearable pain since Saturday & after a recommendation from a good friend of mine yesterday I reached out to the office for help. I reached out at 3:35(I know they aren’t business hours, but I wasn’t sleeping due to how much pain I was in) sherri reaches out to me on her way to work, that automatically made me feel so great about visiting them. Upon arrival you can feel the great vibes, it was so hard for me to continue to be upset & stressed due to the pain I was in. Sherri was at the front desk as soon as I arrived & knew it was me. I was seen in less then 15 mins & it only took that long because I was filling out new patient paperwork. They treated me with so much respect and love. I can feel the genuinely cared about me and my pain, not once did I feel uncomfortable to be honest or even physically uncomfortable. They did their best to get me an appointment for a root canal ASAP. When I mean these people are heaven sent, they are heaven sent. I’m so mad at myself for not coming them sooner, I officially found my home dentist. It’s a 45 mins drive from my house & I do not care it is worth the drive, if you haven’t visited this office, you need to. They will take care of you & hear you be a cry baby & yet still comfort you (yes I was a cry baby, being 30 weeks pregnant) I’m beyond words greatful for everyone I came into contact with and met today at this office, please never retire!!!!!! Sheri & dr. Jay, you are amazing, thank you for everything!!

I am soooo happy to have stumbled upon this gem for my family. We have relocated several times in the past 4 years due to job transfers and to finally settle and find Smile Unique is really a blessing. Dr. Kumar is thorough, patient, great with kids and he makes a point to let you know of any future issues that may arise and how to correct them. It is a comforting atmosphere, affordable and clean. Plus Sheri and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. You can tell they really all care for their patients. Definetly our family dental office for the long run!

Dr. Kumar and staff are wonderful! Super helpful and nice. I went in after seeing a deal on Groupon but discovered I needed a root canal. They were able to fit me in that day and take care of everything. Dr. Kumar made sure to follow up with me, post-procedure, just to check and make sure I was still doing fine! It was extremely thoughtful and appreciated. Sheri is also amazing and makes you feel super comfortable, offering help regarding financial options etc. Will definitely be re-visiting but hopefully not for a root canal!

By far the BEST dentist appointment I’ve received! Deja, Dr. Sherry and Dr. Kumar were incredible. Deja took my x-rays and made me feel comfortable on the uncomfortable positions that I had to do. She took her time and wasn’t pushy or trying to rush through the process. I told Dr. Sherry that I was afraid, she assured me that she would take her time and she would make it as painless as possible. Honestly, she did beyond that by making sure that I was comfortable and even telling me to “raise my hand” if it’s too painful. Dr. Kumar was able to tell and also show me where and how we were going to take care of my teeth from here on out. He also broke down the procedure and also the expectations for my next visit. This is definitely my new home and I will be spreading the word on how amazing it was!!!

I just returned from my appointment at Smile Unique and I can’t recommend it enough! If I could give this place 6 stars I would! The establishment was super clean, modern, the staff were amazing, and the results perfect; after Dr. Arunkumar finished operating I couldn’t tell I ever chipped my tooth! Despite scheduling my appointment on short notice, unintentionally giving completely wrong insurance information and showing up nearly an hour late on an incredibly busy day, they did everything to make sure I got the treatment I needed the same day, in order to accommodate my restrictive schedule. I want to thank Sheri in particular for the unforgettable service. I inadvertently wasted countless hours of her and Molly’s time (forgive me, Molly) and added additional hours of stress with my insurance problems, both on and after work hours. Despite all this, she was so incredible, sweet, helpful, and endlessly patient, it really made me feel like family. If that wasn’t enough, my bill ended up going above my total coverage, and she waived the extra! If you are anywhere near this establishment and need any dental work done, look no further, you will not regret it! The staff here are fantastic!

I was really hurting on a Saturday afternoon to the extent I needed to see a dentist sometime soon, which meant a Sunday visit. I called this dentist, and they saw me Sunday to get my root canal underway. Sheri who answered my call was so understanding. She’s the type of person you feel you’ve always knew for years, yet you just met her. Dr Kumar did a fantastic job. Root canals have a bad rap for being painful, yet mine was zero pain and about as comfortable as it can be. Excellent work. Even though they are way on the other side of Houston from me, I’ve found a great dentist and will continue to call on their services…

My husband and I had our first visit with Smile Unique this past weekend. After a terrible experience with our previous Dentist, I was hesitant of going to see another Dentist again. Sheri and Dr. Kumar were both wonder and very patient with me. They walked me thru the process of my deep clean. Sheri was very gentle. She even followed up with me the following day to see how I was doing. I didn’t feel any pain after my deep cleaning. We will definitely going to make them our primary Dentist office and would highly recommend them. Thank you again so much for the best dental treatment.

I give this place 5 out of 5 because of their professionalism and caring staff. I especially liked Sheri who took the time to talk to me even after they had closed. I had sent an email 10 minutes before their closing time. The next day, Sheri called me early in the morning. She was so kind and encouraging that I felt this was the right dentist for me. Once at the clinic, Dr. Kumar explained in detail the procedure I needed. Throughout the entire process, he was very patient and kind. It’s been 24 hours since my visit and I feel so much better! Thanks to Sheri for being so attentive and to the entire staff. I would definitely recommend this place!

Spectacular is the only word i can think of to describe this dentist!!! not only are they great with my 4 year old but the dentist Dr. kumar knows his stuff and takes care of you!! the dental hygienist/receptionist sheri is amazing!!! she instantly made me and my family feel welcomed like we were at home!! both her and the dentist made us both feel like we had known them for years!!! i have insurance of course but i found that there prices are incredibly reasonable compared to the other dentists ive dealt with in the past! they are up front with you about your teeth and are willing to work with you which i love! they are professional and still personable!! you can tell they actually care and want to help!!!Dr. kumar is amazing!!!this is definitely my permanent dentist!! lol they are definitely worth checking out!!!

Dr Kumar is the best. He thoroughly explains each step of the process and makes sure you are completely comfortable in any procedure. Ms Sheri the dental hygienist has been so warm and welcoming since day 1. She actually helped me talk my husband – who hates going to the doctors – into coming back in for a cleaning. Everyone in the office is professional and took excellent care of us. I have scheduled an appointment for my daughter for tomorrow! Our whole family will be coming here…

Coming from a person not so keen on the dentist, I love this place. Sherri is so nice and professional. The dentist himself was great as well. He took the time to show me my teeth and explain his remarks. They made sure I was comfortable. They also addressed all my concerns and gave me a treatment plan. I left with no reservations or questions. As long as I’m in Houston this will be my dentist office. I recommend a 1000%.

This Dentist office has ROCKED MY SOCKS OFF! I could not ask for a better office! They’ve given my family the best dental care and now we are starting our cosmetic dental services with this wonderful team who are ready and willing to help on our tooth/ mouth journey. I can’t wait for my kiddo to get braces on and my Veneers to be completed! I always feel calm and ready when I come into this office. My kids don’t even mind when I say we’re going for a checkup or cleaning. This is a wonderful office with a great and caring staff. Wonderful and immaculate environment. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

He was amazing. I have a fear of dental offices. He and his staff made me feel so comfortable, and explained to me why and what I needed done. He took time with me like I was the only patient that was important. He did not rush from me to go to another patient. I am totally impressed by the care and concern that he has of my dental needs I’m looking forward to getting my dental needs resolved. I wanted to take time out to thank the Dr. and staff for really treating me with respect. I was out to lunch and met Sheri and she invited me over to their office to get a tooth checked that was bothering me. I didn’t go that day but when my tooth started hurting really bad I remembered the smiling and friendly lady I had met. When I call the office, I had a great conversation and invite from Mae the office manager, who left me feeling really important. I don’t really write stuff on the internet, but dr. Kumar is one cool, down to earth guy, could be my son but knows his stuff. I don’t have insurance, but that was not an issue with these guys they have a lot of ways to pays for service, anyway I just want to say thanks again and I’m looking forward to seeing you guys in three months for my cleaning

I was in a lot of pain and was looking for a dentist open on a Saturday. I called and Sheri had so much compassion for my pain and was so nice it felt like a friend taking care of me. When I got there everyone was very caring. Dr. Kumar is so nice and caring took time to explain everything to me. Everyone in the office is very sincere and caring. My experience was all about helping me. Some places make you feel rushed so they can move on to the next cash cow…NOT once did I feel that way!

This place is great! Friendly staff, quick service! I was in search for a dentist in a hurry because of pain and I’m new to the area. I called a lot of places asking if they would accept walk ins and they simply told me no they did not. When I called Smile Unique, they also told me they couldn’t do a walk in but they were the only office to ask me if I would like to become a new patient and that they could take me the next day. Wonderful! When I went the next day for my appointment, Sheri greeted me with a very friendly, warm smile. I only waited about 10-15 minutes, about the time it took me to fill out my forms. When I was taken to the back for evaluation, they were quick to tell me what the situation was. They were very understanding to what I want and didn’t want being that I was pregnant and gave me advice as to what services I can and can’t do. I will definitely be going back once I can get more done.

Bottom line, I am not a fan of the dentist office. With a painful, aggrivated tooth over the holidays, after a long hiatus from my last dental visit, it was time to search for another one. After a through search, I came across Smile Unique and I must admit, I wasn’t disapponted! From the start, the staff at Smile Unique truly made me feel at home! Initially, I tried to get in on a Sunday and was contacted immediately by Smile Unique’s office manager, Ms. Sheri. I followed up the next day making an appointment with Ms. Melaine (my apologies if incorrect!), who was very helpful and friendly. Upon arrival to the office, I was greeted warmly greeted by the beautiful smile of Ms. Sheri, quickly easing some of the anxiety I held upon my visit. My consultation with with Dr. Arunkumar was well-recieved and I genuinely appreciated his expertise and recommendations. To be honestly, I felt a little embarrased considering what I was giving him to work with after 4 years, but he treated me with the uptmost respect. He kindly explained what the issue was and what his recommendations for treatment that was available to me. Patiently, he answered every question I had concerning my treatment. Far from what I experienced from other dentist office in the pass, Dr. Arunkumar never tried to push additional services on me, keeping focus on the issue at hand. Upon conclusion of my visit, I was check out by the beautiful Ms. Sheri, as she provided me with directions regarding follow up. Thank you to everyone at Smile Unique! I hope that this is a dental practice I can call “home”

I would give 10 stars if I could. Sheri and Dr. Kumar are special. I also work in the medical field and don’t always see the kind of patience and compassion these 2 showed me. They took their time, listened, and at the same time were very thorough and efficient, and very good at what they do. They explained everything very clearly and simply. They directed me to a specialist for other needs and were very fortright. I walked in for a very painful tooth and was thinking about an emergency extraction, but they gave me better advice. I live in Kingwood but I will go back to them for future needs for me and my son. I had a traumatic experience years ago with a dentist and vowed never to come back. These wonderful people made me feel seen and heard. Not very common in the rushed and profit driven medical word.

Dental emergencies, like most emergencies, happen on the weekend. Imagine my surprise when Sheri & Dr. Kumar not only made time for me at 6:30 on a Sunday evening when they should have been closed, but did so with care, compassion and zero upcharge for seeing me outside of typical office hours! The staff I met the following day was equally amazing as was my continued care and treatment by Dr. Kumar. I would recommend Smile Unique Houston to anyone looking for a dentist’s office that makes you feel truly cared for while providing you with excellent dental therapy!

I chipped one of my front teeth on a Saturday afternoon and called Smile Unique for help. Given that it was a Saturday and nearing the end of the day I figured I’d be lucky to get anyone at all and if I did get someone they would be likely be grumpy and not helpful. Instead I was pleasantly surprised to meet Sheri Heuvelman, dental hygienist on the other end of the line. Sheri was working three jobs at once that day: dental hygienist, dental assistant and receptionist and dental assistant. Her demeanor on the phone was beyond pleasant and after explaining my situation she relayed the story to the dentist, Dr. Jay Kumar, who kindly agreed to see me right away. On my way to the Katy office I got lost but fortunately for me Sheri had given me her cell phone number so I called her, more than once, and she helped guide me to the office. Once there, both Sheri and Dr. Kumar were welcoming and professional. Dr. Kumar fixed my tooth, with Sheri assisting, and it looks awesome. In fact, when he was finished he gave me an opportunity to decide if I liked it or wanted anything else done to it. We both decided that the other front tooth needed some work to make the pair look right so Dr. Kumar proceeded to correct the other immediately. The final product was far better than any work done on them in the past and I’ve chipped my front teeth more times than I can count. I should add that on top of everything they did for me that day, I was only one of many dental emergencies that they were dealing with. But that certainly didn’t affect them. Both Dr. Kumar and Sheri delivered outstanding dental care at my time of need, late on a Saturday, putting their own schedules and needs aside (they didn’t get to eat lunch that day). I plan on returning to their office for any future dental needs that I or anyone in my family has and would highly recommend that you do the same. I have given them a rating of five out of five stars but it would be more appropriate to give them ten out of five stars because they certainly went above and beyond to help me. -Jake

I loved the professionalism and caring staff, specially Sheri. She took the time to call me after I had sent an email 10 minutes prior the closing of their office. I had the BEST possible experience! The visit was actually for my son who had an unexpected dental emergency on a Saturday. We had not been here previously so we were not even a patient but they still worked us in and took care of the issue. They have a wonderful staff, and he’s an excellent dentist. They were very thorough, kind, and caring, from the initial phone call I placed, to the unexpected follow-up phone call a day later. They price was reasonable and we were charged the same amt, or less, than what our normal dentist would have charged for M-F service!

This place was absolutely amazing. I’ve had a chipped tooth for the past 4+ years now and have been afraid for the longest of getting it taken care of. Finally today I made the decision to go ahead and get a consultation done. The initial phone call to the office to ask about my insurance and the process was very simple and reassuring. They were able to get me in within a few hours of the call and once I got there I knew I was in good hands. Every single associate made me feel like family and were very down to earth, they all answered my questions before I could ask many of them and made sure any concerns I had were met with solutions. Didn’t take long for me to decide to go ahead and move forward. Long story short, I started the procedure and got my temporary crowns immediately. So I will have my smile back before the new year. 😀

I’ve never liked visiting the dentist but a co-worker referred me to Smile Unique and I’m glad I went there! Dr. Kumar and his assistant were very good at explaining things to me and making me comfortable as they did the work. He offered advice on what work needed to be done but allowed me to make the final decision on how to proceed. Sheri is also very nice and helpful with explaining costs, insurance amounts, etc. She was able to schedule me in quickly and also followed up the next day to make sure I was doing ok. This is a great dentist office and I highly recommend them!

Loved Dr. Kumar & his staff! I hadn’t been to the dentist in a few years, and they kept my mind at ease throughout the entire appointment. They were very friendly from the moment I walked in I was even greeted by name! Talk about great customer service:) Dr. Kumar was great! He didn’t make me feel like a number he defiantly is genuine with his patients. I can’t wait to return in 6 months! Who can ever say that about their dentist?!

I am so thankful my co-worker referred me Smile Unique! As they say, customer service starts at the front door. Well, I was greeted by three staff members who all had a bright and welcoming smile. I can’t say enough about Sherri. She has such a beautiful personality and very personable. My coworker told me how they eased her fear about dental work, but I was still skeptical, given previous experience with other dentists. I guess they’d call it PTSD . When I tell you I never had so much fun at a dentist office… We laughed so much I forgot about my fear! Dr. Jay was AMAZING! Dr. Jay was down to earth and made me feel comfortable. He’s very gentle when working with his tools and always checked on me to make sure I was okay during the procedures. It was very soothing to hear him count (6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1) while he was drilling… It took away my focus off hearing the drill as I listened to his voice. Thank you Smile Unique for an amazing experience and wonderful customer service.

I have been nervous about going to a dentist for years, so this was a big step for me. I’ve had teeth issues for years, but have been so ashamed of my teeth that I just refused to go, out of fear of being talked down to about it. Here, I did not receive any ridicule! Sheri, Tracy , and Dr. Arunkumar all made me feel like I had been coming here for years within my first visit! They were all very nice and truly caring about my needs and concerns. I went in not knowing where to start, and they began my treatment by diving into the big issue I had first, which were my wisdom teeth with exposed nerves, and had them removed that 1st visit without a bunch of rescheduling or sending me else where! I need more work done, and I will continue to come back here, aswell as recommending others to go! We need more doctors as good and honest as Dr. Arunkumar!

I actually had a really great regular dentist that I had gone to for years before trying out Dr. Kumar, but they were asking $3000 for a root canal and there was no way I could afford that. I was in too much pain (and my cheek was swelling) to wait until I had the money, so I reached out to Smile Unique due to their awesome reviews. I am so happy to say that I have found my new, permanent dentist! From the first moment I spoke to Sheri, I felt comfortable and listened to. It was like talking to your own mother! She got me in the next morning and the procedure cost so much less than I was quoted at my other dentist. She really took care of me and I knew I had finally found a dentist that wasn’t trying to add on additional costs or overcharge me. Dr. Kumar is the absolute BEST dentist I’ve ever come into contact with – my previous dentists were voted #1 in Houston and he blew them out of the water! He was so sincere and just a genuinely kind person. He explained everything to me while he was working, made sure I was comfortable, and did such an amazing job. I didn’t feel a thing after I was numbed (SO important to me), there was hardly any wait time at all, and his dental assistant was so sweet and attentive. I really felt like they all wanted me to be as comfortable as possible. They even offered me a blanket which I thought was so sweet! I could literally go on and on about this group, but I’ll just summarize it by saying this: If you are looking for an excellent, reasonably priced, honest dentist that isn’t trying to charge you outrageous prices, GO SEE DR. KUMAR! You’ll understand everyone’s rave reviews once you do!

If you ever had a toothache you know that it affects every waking hour of your life. Turns out I was working in the area when my face started to completely melt of my skull because my lower teeth started to pulse with non-stop when pain that radiate from my face straight to my brain! As it turns out I needed two route canals asap and was able to find Dr Jay Arunkumar at Smile Unique relatively easy. The doc was able to see me as soon as I came in and staff from Sheri and the other ladies working in the office were extremely nice! Everything was explained of what I needed and how much it would be without any kind of hassle or confusion. After the route canal was completed I was finally able to finally get a complete nights rest. The place is definitely a great location if you need any kind of dentistry services!

The best customer service! Everyone that works there are amazing with being professional and wanting to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I was nervous at first to going to a dentist but the office manager that greeted you with a smile when you walk into the door helped ease the nervous a little then meeting my hygienist; she was bubbly and so friendly. Everyone made go away! Go did I mention the doctor? He was great as well! Wouldn’t want to go anywhere else! HIGHLY RECOMMENED!

I avoided the dentist for years after having bad experiences, until I had a front tooth break. I met with 8 dentists and decided to go with The team at Smile Unique. They made me feel comfortable and was one of the only dentists that wanted to do what was best for me and not for their own wallet. Since that time I’ve had multiple sessions, as have my child and friends I’ve referred to Smile Unique and I can attest to the skill and work done by the team at Smile Unique. The results I’ve had are amazing but most importantly the experiences I’ve had in the chair have resolved my fear of the dentist or at least this dentist as I won’t go anywhere else. My insurance is subpar so the fair prices for services is a much needed relief. The staff is skilled and super friendly making Smile Unique the best in Katy. I highly recommend Smile Unique!

Wow These guys are GREAT! I had just moved to the area. I broke a tooth. This is bad because I talk for a living. I was in pain, and it was already late afternoon, and I started looking for a dentist near me that would see me today. I called and Sheri answered the phone quickly and cordially. She asked me to come in 2 hours and they would work me in. When I arrived they did the imaging right away and came up with a plan to fix my broken tooth. Since I did not have insurance, Pricing was a concern. They came up with a plan to fit my budget and then fixed my tooth solving both my problems. Dr. Kumar proved to be highly skilled and very personable. He did an excellent practically painless job. Smile Unique is my new family dentist You should consider them for your new family dentistry also. They have the latest in high tech to get fast imaging for the best diagnostics. I say, This is the place to go, but don’t wait until you have an emergency, get those teeth cleaned and checked today! #AmazingDocGreeneShow

I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience with Dr. Kumar and Sheri was amazing! Let me start by saying that I am terrified of Dentists, so I avoid going at all costs. I cracked one of my upper molars and was starting to have terrible pain, which was interrupting my sleep. My first contact was with Sheri, and she was so caring and nurturing, made me feel very comfortable every step of the process. They were able to get me in quickly, and even though my process took most of the day – they completely solved my issue and I feel 100pct better! Dr. Kumar was so gentle and just a real caring person ( and funny too!! ). If I could give more than 5 stars for them I would, thank you all for helping me through this process and actually making it bearable.
