I’ve been going here for many years now and I’ve always been more than satisfied with the service. They practically revived my teeth after realizing my old dentist wasn’t really doing what was needed for my teeth. They are very informative and kind whenever I go. Not only that, but they are super efficient. Let’s just say, I no longer dread going to the dentist like I did with my old one.

This is a great place to go take care of your teeth! The team is very professional from the front desk, to cleaning, examining, and more severe dental work. They provide you solutions based on priority. I have to honestly say, Yasin the dental hygenist provided HANDS DOWN the best dental cleaning, xrays, and advice on prevention that I have ever received in my 3+ decades of visiting dentists all around the world. She has a special touch and truly cares for her patients. For the first time in my life, I have been motivated to keep my teeth extra clean and I owe that wholeheartedly to Yasin. Dr. Lazaar is a phenomenal dentist, and detail-oriented professional, and a genuinely kind soul. I had to get a number of things done and she really did a great job. I felt that I was in good and knowledgeable hands. Admittedly, going to the dentist is not my favorite thing to do. But at Dr. Lazaar’s office, I felt comfortable and safe throughout. They make you feel at home right at the door and explain everything that’s going on very well, sometimes even with visuals! Thanks to Dr. Lazaar, Yasin, and the rest of the team. Dr. Maye Lazaar had been my dentist for some time when she was in San Jose. I had not been to her new location but I had an emergency and I phoned the office to get an appointment. She took the time to call me herself and knew who I was despite the fact that it had been years since I last saw her. I told her my situation and she made me several appointments for me. She did everything that she could possibly do to help me with my situation. She is an Angel at least to me she is. She is wonderful in what she does and also very patient. I would recommend her to everyone reading this. You will not go wrong with Dr. Maye Lazaar. I truly am glad that she is my dentist and I feel terrible that it took this long to come see her again but it will not be the last. Thank you Dr. Lazaar for everything that you’ve done for me. Hi. I had to go into the office because my lower partial dentures broke. Christine was gentle and kind as she took the X-rays. Dr. Lazaar was kind and caring as she checked the X-rays and my mouth. My case is not easy. But Dr. Lazaar and her staff always show they have my best interest at heart. It was a positive experience and I really appreciate that, and them. It was the 1st time I met Lori (the new Admin) and she was wonderful to work with, too. I highly recommend Dr. Lazaar and everyone in her office. These are wonderful people who show they care every day.

We have been seeing Dr. Maye Lazaar for many years. We haven’t ever thought about looking for another dentist. Her work is always at the highest standards. She gives us professional advice and only performs necessary procedures. The cherry on top of the cake is her smile and friendliness with her clients. Her staff (hygienists and office manager) know us by name, care about us, and have the same friendly attitude of Dr. Lazaar. On top of that, the clinic is very elegant and has all new equipment. Three months after the shelter in place due to COVID-19, they re-opened the clinic with added precautionary measures, including large air filtering machines —placed near every dentist chair— that suck the air out and carry with it all aerosols. We never felt safer since the pandemic has started. My partner and I highly recommend Smiles by Design Dentistry.

I’ve been going to Dr. Lazaar for years now and I’ve never ever been disappointed! She is by far the best there is out there! Kind, caring and so knowledgeable. Her team is always warm and welcoming and I’ve always left there pleased with a brighter smile. Her hygienist, Yasin, ALWAYS makes sure I am comfortable and well taken care of! I got my front tooth back for Christmas. Dr Maye just finished installing my new implant I can bite on apples again. Let me tell you a little about her and her office staff and I hope i can do them justice Her office is decorated unlike other dental offices; it has a very homey feel to it with a fireplace under large flat screen TV and art works on every wall and comfortable lounge chairs and a coffee table. The staff is another big plus for this office because they are all kind and professional and always have a smile on their face. The communication from this office is very modern so you get the iMessages, SMS and Outlook invites (you have no excuse to miss your appointment because they send you every possible communication but the smoke and a blanket style message). Dr Lazaar is truly a gifted doctor with a gentle touch and knowledge of a seasoned physician. I am so proud to call her my family dentist (my whole family sees her) as well as my friend. I really recommend Dr Lazaar to anyone looking for a new dentist and believe me when I say that your dentist visits will be joyful from then on. Thank you for my front tooth and the birthday card and Christmas cards you sent me.

This was my first visit to Smiles By Design Dentistry and it just happened to be one of the best experiences. The beautiful Dr. Lazaar and her staff were both professional and friendly. Dr. Lazaar was incredibly patient and thorough and even took the time to answer every one of my questions. I moved to Los Gatos 4 years ago and kept our dentist where we used to live bc I didn’t think I could find anyone more capable than our former dentist. After scouring Yelp and asking friends, I decided to try Dr Lazaar at Smiles by Design and I can’t believe I waited so long! Dr Lazaar is incredbile and the front desk superhero, Lori, is just as incredible. What a team. I couldn’t be happier with the amazing care she has give my children and myself. Dr Lazaar always seems to be updating her practice with the newest and greatest treatment methods and I highly recomend giving her a try – you won’t be disapointed!

I’ve been a client at Smiles By Design since Dr. Lazaar took over the practice (at least 10 years now I imagine?). In that time she’s moved into a new state of the art office, and has continued to have a wonderful staff of hygienists. Dr. Lazaar is incredibly good at what she does, but more importantly to me, she has always walked me through the science of what was happening and how to prevent it from happening again. I used to need a yearly cavity filled, but after she took over haven’t had many issues. She highlights dental care and prevention as much as identify and fixing and problems. On year she noticed the start of a couple new cavities and instead of drilling and filling them, she put me on a special toothpaste that allowed the Newman to remineralize naturally before it got to the point of no return. I’ve lived in NYC the past three years and have looked for a local dentist but have not found one as professional, trustworthy, and good as Smiles by Design. It’s for these reasons (and many others) that I make an effort to go for a cleaning every time I’m in California. They always find a spot for me no matter my schedule or the short notice!

Whoa where do I begin. After having many different dentists in my lifetime, I can safely say that Dr. Lazaar is the best. To start, the office staff is extremely pleasant and works hard. The office is very clean and modern looking. Dr. Lazaar has the best of the best when it comes to equipment and X-rays. I have a major phobia of dentists and when she walks in, I know I am in good hands. She takes all the time she needs to ensure I am comfortable, safe, and relaxed. Her patience is greatly appreciated and I can tell she is truly passionate about what she is doing by her calm and professional chairside manner. She also doesn’t do any unnecessary work like my past dentists did. If you have a fear of the dentist she is the one you want to see.
