I had my braces done as a kid at a different orthodontist, I only wish I knew about Dr.Smoron back then! I come to him for my permanent retainer repair (I eat things I shouldn’t and have broken it a couple of times) my original orthodontist wanted to fully replace it and charge me a crazy amount. Dr Smoron was able to repair it each time for a VERY REASONABLE cost. Not to mention that his office has accommodated me with an appointment the same day each time that I have called. I highly recommend him and his staff. I truly can’t say enough great things about this place!

Very great first appointment for two of my girls today! First and foremost, there was a sweet welcome on the rotating screen behind the front desk. They were ready for us right away! Michelle took pictures and was able to present recommendations for both girls within the hour! All my questions were answered, the recommendations were very conservative and honest and we left happy. Dr. Smoron and staff are friendly, likable and personable. I would recommend them to friends and family and also recommend his office to patients as a dental hygienist!! Everyone from the front desk staff to Dr Smoron himself has truly made my first time braces experience comfortable and seamless. They treat you like family, the office is impeccablly clean and Dr is extremely knowledgeable and makes sure he walks you through the process and isn’t hesitant to coach you throughout every step of the way. We are so pleased with the orthodontic work Dr Smoron did on our 14 year old son. He had been going to a different orthodontist for many years and did not want to have any more work done. Dr Smoron presented us with several options and my son chose the shortest one. He just got his braces off and we are so happy with the results. My son really liked Dr Smoron’s personality and his jokes! As a parent I appreciate the mutual respect that Dr Smoron shows and that he really listened to what we were looking for. I could not have been HAPPIER with my choice of Dr. Smoron as my Orthodontist! Prior to choosing Dr. Smoron, I performed extensive research in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago for an orthodontist that I could trust…being that this was my second go around with braces. Dr. Smoron went above and beyond my expectations (and my expectations were high) for my treatment. Over the years since I had braces the first time, my teeth started to drift and my jaw adjusted a bit. While interviewing other Orthodontists in the area, a couple doctors went so far to say that I required jaw surgery to correcy my bite. Clearly, 1 1/2 years later, and after treatment with Dr. Smoron, this was not the case. Dr. Smoron’s method for correcting my bite was innovative and carefully planned out. It allowed me to avoid jaw surgery and still achieve the smile I was looking for. Dr. Smoron explained the his plan for my treatment in intricate detail (as an engineer, this is something that I appreciate), and I am happy to say that 1 1/2 years later, it went exactly as he said. I had an appointment with Dr. Smoron at least every 2 weeks, and I was very pleased that not once did I wait in the waiting room past my scheduled appt. time. More often than not, I was brought back early, and was on my way home much sooner than expected. My case was somewhat unique in that I moved to Texas towards the end of my treatment. Being that I did not want to pick up treatment with a new Orthodontist in Texas, Dr. Smoron went so far as to schedule off hours appointments to help me finish treatment prior to relocation. I honestly cannot say anything bad about Dr. Smoron and his wonderful staff. I really did enjoy my time there, and while I won’t go as far to say I miss braces or having someone working on my teeth on a bi-monthly basis, I will miss the Dr. Smoron and his very friendly team. I highly recommend Dr. Smoron and his team to anyone in the area.

My mom, brother and I have all been going to Dr. Smoron for 14 years. He does excellent work, his staff is really kind, and appointments are easy to get! My brother and I both had our braces done here and we were both very happy with our teeth after they came off. I wore braces as a teenager and found myself as an adult needing corrective orthodontistry again. Note: kids, wear your retainer! Dr. Smoron was highly recommended by many of my friends. Dr Scott Smoron and his staff are extremely warm and welcoming. I became his patient in 2007, after consulting with 3 competitive and capable Orthodontists. Even so, I knew from the beginning that I would go to Dr Smoron to get my adult orthodontic care. I remain in his care, but just for follow up and minor health issue. Three years ago, I moved to 15 miles away from his office and I’m sure that I could get a new Orthodontist that is closer to home. But I trust him and feel that he is worth driving to, to get the best care that I can.

I cannot praise Dr. Smoron and his team enough. Our daughter had three major problems that needed detailed attention-a fully impacted canine, crowding and her bite was off. We went to see four other orthodontists prior to visiting Dr. Smoron. Every orthodontist stated she either needed four adult teeth pulled and/or full oral surgery to bring down her canine. Dr. Smoron was able to fix all of her problems without oral surgery or removing any adult teeth. We are at the tail-end of her work and I can only say that Dr. Smoron is a genius. We are so grateful for his work, his team and our daughter’s smile. He has the most cutting-edge practice I’ve seen. We chose Dr. Smoron after interviewing his office and another dental office in Arlington Heights. Dr. Scott Smoron came highly recommended with several families we know, and since we’ve been seeing him we found out many other friends children have enjoyed this office as well. The office and staff are very warm and inviting, and Dr. Smoron used the latest technology to present his plan for my 13 yr old’s teeth. We were able to view on a large computer monitor in his office how he would put on the braces, in which stages, and we could see first hand what would change. He also showed us large pictures of my son’s mouth, pointing out what areas needed most work (including some a couple teeth not yet in that would need some to come down). His plan and presentation blew away the competition and the same or lower price, and we haven’t looked back since. Scott Smoron is my favorite combination of professional and smart, along with approachable and friendly. It has been one year and we have seen dramatic changes in my son’s teeth without any major pain. He had to have some tissue surgery (I think it is called that) to get two teeth buried in the roof of his mouth to begin to drop, and that was handled professionally and did the trick (in time). I highly recommend Dr. Smoron and his office for your orthodontic needs.

I’m beyond thrilled to get my teeth straightened here. I’ve had braces twice growing up and as a new mom my teeth have gotten crooked since childbirth and I wanted to correct them.
