I have had terrible experiences with many dentists and have ignored going for a check up all together for a long time because past dentists have either over charged or the work they would do on my teeth would not make my teeth feel better, but this place is GREAT! I decided to give SmilesLA a chance and loved it. The staff is very welcoming and it feels like you’re with family. My first procedure was a root canal. It was painless and I felt a big difference after. I would definitely recommend this place to someone else. I read past reviews where the dental office wouldn’t call back and scheduling appointments was a pain but I am going on my fifth appointment and haven’t had this experience. It’s been great for me.

I’ve been waiting a while to post this review I wanted my treatment to be finished before I did. I will have to say that I was not disappointed Dr. Elyson and all the girls at the office are amazing always attentive and always willing to work with my crazy work schedule but most importantly Dr. Elyson was always looking out and making sure that everything came out the way I wanted with careful planning as well as being honest with me which is rare to find many places treat you like an assembly line and this is definitely not the case here they never rush you nor pressure you to do anything and always look out to make sure you do what is best for you. I don’t really ever take the time to post any reviews but I am beyond pleased with the results of everything I had done!

I started my treatment on 9/10/15 under the care of Dr. Michel H. Elyson. Prior to this my last dental visit was about 5 years ago. I never liked going to the dentist. Everything about it scared me. The idea of a stranger having access to my throat didn’t sit too well for me, esply in those cold seats. The wonderful ladies at smiles la changed all that. They are vary professional and friendly. From the greetings to walking me out and everything else in between. I’ve made really great friends with them all. This sounds like a 180 but I really loved my results. My teeth was my worst feature and one that I was most insecure about. Rarely do I ever smile for photos or laugh out loud afraid that they would be seen. Not only do I smile more but my attitude in life has changed. One of the best investment you can make is your smile because it stays with you where ever you go. Special thank you to the amazing Dr. Elyson for his beautiful work. He made the process as painless as possible and he was there to explain every little step. I love my new smile. Another special thank to Angela who was there for me from the beginning. She walked me through all the process and helped me get things done. She got my back from get go. I was looking for a dentist for the longest time to treat my 17 year old daughter who is dental phobic. I found this dentist on yelp due to their excellent reviews. Not only was the entire staff nice, the treatment my daughter received today was exceptional. From scheduling my dental appointment with the front office Bandi, to the office manager Ángela who gave me all my options. Now where do I start with the dentist. Dr. Michel Elyson is very professional, thorough, and sweet. He explained my daughters treatment to me he would inform me about my daughters progress during treatment, and assured me that my daughter was doing fine during the process. Especially me being extremely nervous about my daughter being sedated. Well I can say my daughter had the best experience she doesn’t remember a thing during her dental visit. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Elyson for more than 10 years. He is a talented, highly skilled dentist. I’ve had him work on everything from basic cleanings to root canals, veneers, and invisalign treatment. On top of that, his staff is warm, welcoming, and professional. I have been coming here for over 3 years. I was completely terrified of the dentist and in fact cried on my first visit. I am glad I was able to locate this place a couple years ago. Since day one, the staff have been amazing. Dr Elyson has worked on my teeth every visit and he is fantastic. Just transferred over to Smiles LA! The staff is great. Family friendly to say the least! It was my son’s first time getting a check up there. The staff greeted him from the door and convinced him he’d be alright to go without mommy. They played a child movie on the tv during his exam and gave him a toy! To get a 3 year old to be excited about his dental exam was impressive! And I appreciated this the most. Also, very fast and attentive with patients. My exam was fast and Dr. did a great assessment. I also needed a minor oral surgery that they got approved through my insurance in an impressive time frame. I’m able to get this work done before returning to work. Staff that go out of their way shows the care they put into their career and profession, it matters. Highly recommended! Clean office as well.

I would like to start off by saying this dentistry has the utmost professionalism and world class customer service I have experience at any dental office. I’m sure many people are like me, trying to find a dentist that you trust and can go to. I was looking to have 2 of my left wisdom tooth removed (one surgical and the other an extraction) I called and was immediately provided all the information about the procedure. From the pre-medication to the post recovery steps. We were also able to schedule an appointment that was convenient for me since I work full time. The extraction went perfectly and I was anticipating some pain for the next couple of days but surprisingly, no pain whatsoever! I would highly recommend Smiles LA to any of my family, friends, and co-workers because they took great care of me and I am happy to say that Smiles LA is my permanent dental office now!

Beyond excellent service from the time you check in to the time you check out. I stopped in for an emergency. I cracked my rear right side upper molar eating a pb&j sandwich .. yeah anyway, so Angela greets me, gets the x rays done (stat), & I see Dr. Elyson… advised I need a crown. Angela gave me killer price, agreed & signed. Dr Elyson explained the process started I didn’t feel the needle some grinding , molding and measurements done, popped in the temporary crown and out 45 minutes I say at most. I have been looking for a new dentist for a while now. My last experience with the last dentist wasn’t the best and they dismissed my questions like I should know the answer. I found Smiles LA on Yelp and I’m so happy I did. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They have you fill out this dental and medical history questionnaire when you first go in. Once I was inside they started my X-rays and Maria finished them up. Maria went over my dental and medical history with me and took notes. Dr Michel H Elyson then came in and introduced himself. He answered all my questions and explained everything so I understood what was going on. Maria walked me to the front desk after so I can set up my next appointment. Her and Angela were so nice and helpful! I will definitely be recommending Dr Michel to my family and friends!

Our dental office specializes in risk assessment for developing dental problems such as cavities and gum problems before they occur. Our simple test will evaluate patients who are likely to develop dental problems and provide a simple inexpensive preventative treatment. Dr. Elyson is a prefferred provider for INVISALIGN clear braces. Michel H. Elyson, DDS, FICOI has a general dental practice serving the children and adults. He provides a comprehensive treatment approach looking at our teeth and oral health as one part of the complete physical health. Dr. Elyson's office provides a wide range of dental procedures from a simple periodical cleaning to many other dental procedure such as smile makeovers to implant placement. Dr. Michel H. Elyson, DDS, FICOI completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at California State University in Northridge. He subsequently completed his DDS degree in UCLA School of Dentistry.
