An incredible experience! Dr. Smilow took me right away for same day gum surgery and temporary front teeth replacement. He is a Hero/surgeon/gum specialist/prosthodontist/dental hygienist/Artist. All in one! For 7 months I couldn’t smile without covering my mouth with my hands. I can’t believe I’m saying this but wearing a mask all this time saved me from showing my inflamed gums and horrible temporaries my ex doctor gave me. Unfortunately there are people who don’t care about their patients and for them it’s all about the money. Thanks to him, I lost bone mass, my gums started receding and a horrible infection that no doctor wanted to treat. Thankfully my sister recommended me Dr. Smilow. In just 6 days my gums are not red anymore, I love my temporaries more than my permanent teeth. I can’t wait for the final results. This office is magnificent. I took a stack of Dr. Smilow’s cards and will recommend him to everyone I know. Many thanks to Christine and the office staff. Dr. Smilow is absolutely amazing – He is an excellent doctor! Dr. Smilow is so personable and kind. It was my first time meeting him & I could tell that he genuinely cared about me and my teeth. He made me feel comfortable immediately. I usually don’t like going to the dentist, but Dr. Smilow & his team are exceptional and they made it a wonderful experience. I had dental work done today (my first time here) to prepare a tooth for a crown. Normally it would have taken very long because I get so anxious the dentist has to stop multiple times. The staff there knows my history and did everything to make me comfortable and feel and ease. I won’t mind going back so much now because I know they will take good care of me. Thank you to the staff for being so patient. I highly recommended.

I am a scared lil girl when it comes to Dentists! I’m not too proud to admit it! Dr. Smilow and his entire staff put me at total ease! Honestly didn’t feel like I was at the Dentist, felt as if I was hanging out with a group of great friends! The office is state of the art and comfortable and immaculate. His staff were so down to earth and friendly! Literally the day before I’m leaving for a cape may vacation a molar cracks, I am pooping in my pants knowing that this will ruin my entire family vacation! I live in Springfield and look. For a local dentist, I go on the doctors website and fill out a quick form telling them what is going on… Dr. Smilow TEXTS me, he actually texted me! I can’t get my wife or two daughters to ever text me, and this guy @9 o’clock at night texts me to come in the next day! He takes care of my problem, seamlessly, and painless, I actually went for a cleaning while I was there! The best part, I mean the very best part… The doctor texts me the next morning to see how I’m doing!!!! Not an automated service, not one of his staff, I mean the dentist’s personal cell phone! My children started going to Dr. Smilow and all three felt so comfortable and safe there. I recently needed a dentist and since he was so wonderful with my children, I chose to go see him. He did an amazing job! Not only is Dr. Smilow a talented doctor, he was gentle and made me feel relaxed throughout my visit. I also have to mention how wonderful his staff is! Dr. Smilow is literally the best dentist I have ever gone to. I always have a wonderful experience when ever I go for my appointments. He is very knowledgeable, caring, and recommends the best care that you need for your teeth. His staff is also amazing as well. The hygienist is honestly the best as well, I always feel great after my cleaning. If your looking for a dentist, this is the place to be!!! I promise you, you will not regret it!!

Dr Smilow, is excellent dentist!!! Usually I don’t like going to any dentist but after two years of not going to a dentist, I had an appointment with doctor simllow, he was absolutely amazing, professional, kind and very caring. He personally follow up by calling and texting to make sure I was well after my visit. His entire team is great. Strongly suggest Dr. Smilow.

EXCEPTIONAL VISIT! DON’T WAIT. My daughter was referred to Dr. Smilow, who came highly recommend by our orthodontist. The experience was warm, welcoming and very personable. Dr. Smilow explained everything upfront, encouraged questions and even provide a reliable form of communication throughout her entire visits. He reached out after the first procedure to see how my daughter was doing and the second time around as well. We felt as if we were treated like family. Not to mention, my daughter’s birthday just came around and to our surprise she received a very cute birthday card(which had a personal touch to it). That really put the icing on the cake for us. I do believe Dr. Smilow has the formula to run a successful business. Friendly staffing as well. I would highly recommend this practice. Thanks again for all your hospitality and great service. After just one visit, what everyone says is absolutely true. I believe it starts with the hygienists. I left my previous dentist only because of the hygienist. They’re often the first we see, before getting to see the dentist – the hygienists are paramount. Dr. Smilow’s are awesome! Dr. Smilow is excellent too and his follow-up is outstanding! He contacted my son’s orthodontist on my behalf and I had an answer that same night. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been going to Dr. Smilow for years now and honestly there is no other dentist I’d rather go to. It’s the complete package when it comes to the safety of their patients especially in times like these, but also a comfortable environment for people of all ages to enjoy. All the staff members are great people and now how to not just be looked at as a dentist but as a friend which is something I truly think more dentist need to start doing. Hands down best dentist around!! From my experience, been too a lot of dentist in my life I feel safe when I’m there. Dr.Smilow is very genuine and cared about the plan to fix my teeth. Asking me if I was if I was okay the whole time of the procedures.He always Follows up with me to see if I’m in pain. And there is always a plan. I can go on! I Highly recommend!!

Best dentist I’ve ever had! Dr. Smilow is friendly and knowledgeable. He makes me feel comfortable every time I go. I have very sensitive teeth and have always hated getting my teeth cleaned but Dr. Smilow’s team accommodates me and has made suggestions to reduce my sensitivity that actually work. I cannot thank Doctor Smilow and his staff Enough for scheduling me a last-minute appointment when my tooth cracked. Everyone was exceptionally nice and professional, the office was super clean and Cheery. And Dr. Smilow personally came out to greet me before the procedure to introduce himself and allay any fears that I had. After he assessed the damage, the tooth was quickly repaired. If I could give Dr. Smilow and his staff more stars, I would!

Smilow Family Dentistry did an amazing job putting customers safety as a priority. They have very strict policies in place in regards to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and I felt safer there than in my own house after completing their protocols. In regards to the visit itself, the staff is incredibly welcoming and did an excellent job with me, and I would highly recommend giving Dr. Smilow a visit if you haven’t already. He’s the man!

Dr. Smilow and his team are great. Definitely the best dental practice in our area. My wife and I recently changed our insurance and we told the doctor that the new insurance would not start until October 1, but the doctor still gave us appointments and had me come in to check a tooth that I recently chipped and was bothering me. They always take their time explaining everything to us, from insurance coverage to our dental health. The office is always very clean and they have the latest tech equipment. The hours and location are super convenient as well. 100% recommended!

This review is long overdue, so I apologize for that. Dr. Smilow was amazing as was all of his staff, the offices were immaculate. During these stressful times of visiting doctors and the like, I felt at ease and felt very safe upon entering the offices. As a Springfield resident since 1978, I love the fact that Dr. Smilow and his family has integrated themselves in every aspect of the community, and are always out there giving and helping. I highly recommend Dr. Smilow and his practice.

I am so appreciative of Dr. Smilow. Had a dental issue that needed to be addressed, and he went out of his way to make room in his schedule for not one, but TWO appointments in the same week. His bedside manner is pleasant and comforting, and his office runs efficiently with minimal wait time. I truly enjoyed my experience (not something you hear often of a dentist’s office!) and would recommend Dr. Smilow to anyone without hesitation.

My family recently moved to West Orange and needed a new dentist. Friends recommended Smilow Family Dentistry and I first brought our 2 year-old for his first dental visit. The team treated him like a king, getting their work and assessment done with a gentle touch and redirected him every time he got too distracted. I then came for my check up and received the same treatment (save the toys!) – the hygienist was polite, engaging, and thorough and Dr. Smilow then followed up for his exam. Highly recommend!!

I recently visited Dr Smilow after first becoming acquainted over the phone, while I was looking to have a wisdom tooth extracted in the beginning of the quarantine period last year. He couldn’t see me at that time because of Covid-19 & a new baby at home, however he was so helpful in giving advice & references, and even called me to follow up & see how I made out. Because of his kindness & helpfulness, I decided I would make an appointment with him once I returned to the dentist. My experience in person matched my previous experience. Dr Smilow and his staff were pleasant and knowledgeable, and the office is very clean and state of the art.

Staff nice, friendly and professional.  Dr. Smilow was great, he took the time to tell me his opinion, as well as provided various options.  Did not try to give me services that I did not need, but explained the various options and what the results would be with regards to each option. I’ve been going to Dr. Smilow since my former dentist sold his practice to him. Originally I planned to change dentists since I live 45 minutes from the office, but I’m glad I stayed with him. I like the care I’ve received and appreciate the communication from him regarding that status of my teeth and gums. I recommend Dr. Smilow to anyone in the area.

Best visit EVER!!! My friend recommended Dr. Smilow’s office to me after I told her of the experience I previously had at another office. Even though I found the distance a bit far from where I live (New Brunswick) I must confess that it was worth the trip. I have been a patient of Dr. Smilow’s since he acquired the practice. He has done a number of root canals, crowns, and an implant including a three tooth bridge. I am 100% satisfied with everything he has done. He has added many new pieces of equipment and the practice is state of the art. The team has been wonderful, friendly, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. If you are looking for a new Dentist, I would start here.

Dr. Smilow is hands down one of the best dentists around. He truly cares about his patients. He is very gentle. And wants to make sure you have the best care at all times. No matter how simple the procedure he always follows up with you the next day to make sure you are doing well. He has even adjusted his personal schedule just to see me. And his office staff is just as equally awesome as he.

Visiting Dr. Smilow was the first dental experience is more than 15 years that was positive. He was concerned and responsive to the pain in my tooth. During the procedure, he made sure to check for my comfort level, as well as explain what was going on. I initially went for an emergency visit, and have now switched my family to Smilow Family Dentistry as our primary dentist. I am bringing my son next week for a cleaning/check-up, and I have no question that the level of care he will receive will be only the best. While I can’t say that I will enjoy going to the dentist, I can say that I am no longer fearful of a visit.

Dr. Smilow is a Top Notch in New Jersey. He is my favorite dentist and I trust him 100%. Whatever he is doing looks just perfect. Best dentist for the whole family!!!! Our family of 4 all had cleanings the same day. They were quick, thorough, and professional (and extra gentle with my dentist-fearing daughter). They gave us a lot of time to ask questions about future procedures, braces etc., I felt like we’d been going there forever. I highly recommend Dr. Smilow and his entire staff!!

The thing is…you.KNOW.when someone cares about YOU! Dr. Smilow does. The man texted to see how I was doing after my Root Canal — who does that these days? This is old time — doctor care — I was floored! – first time a doctor has ever done that. His staff is amazing, caring, and friendly. There is ALWAYS a smile when I walk in his doors. The office is clean, COVID-19 friendly and there is a sense that one is safe – not only with the doctor himself, but also with the staff and the physical environment. Dr. Smilow is not only a skilled dentist but is also incredibly kind, patient and accommodating. I recently had a dental emergency and Dr. Smilow answered his cell and agreed to meet me in 20 minutes even though the office was closed it was a holiday. He met me with a smile, fixed my issue and sent me on my way. Never for a second did he make me feel like I had inconvenienced him in the slightest. I feel lucky to have found Dr. Smilow and know that I am in good hands with him. Highly recommend!

Dr. Smilow is very attentive to his patients. My grandmother had to fix her denture, and he made several follow up calls to see how she was doing with it. His office is super clean and the dental assistants are all so sweet. I was able to schedule an emergency visit first thing Monday morning even without being a patient. Overall, I give 5 stars for being so attentive and accommodating. Thank you Dr. Smilow!

Dr Smilow and his staff were warm, welcoming, personable, and very professional. I am so happy I found such a great dentist so close to home. Being in the medical field, my schedule is very hectic, but Dr Smilow was very accommodating and fit me in right away. I can’t say enough wonderful and great things about him and his practice.
