The team at Smooth Dental Group is truly amazing & have become like family over the past few weeks. I came in thinking I had to have my wisdom teeth pulled out but they were quick to realize I had a different issue. Everyone was so sensitive to me and my pain the day I first came in and went above and beyond to make me feel at ease and comfortable. Since then; I’ve had more work done here, including a deep cleaning of my teeth and gums and I’ve never felt my teeth and gums so healthy. The hygienist, Richard is truly amazing! He is kind & made me feel at ease throughout the entire process. I cannot say it enough, the team is truly the best! Everyone here makes you feel right at home. The doctors are amazing!! Dr Tran and her staff are amazing. They make you feel at home. I always hated going to the dentist but they made my visit very comfortable and welcoming. I recently came to get my wisdom teeth taken out and was very anxious because I was nervous about the whole procedure. Dr Tran and her staff walked me through every step of the process and told me what to expect next. When the time came, Dr Tran actually assisted in the removal of my wisdom teeth which made the whole process a little more bearable. She comforted me through every step of the procedure and made sure I was okay. Would definitely recommend this practice to everyone. Will definitely be coming back for future dental work.

My husband and I have been coming to Dr.Tran even before we had children. Now, our kids are 9 and 5 and we still go to her. She has become our family dentist. Dr. Tran has a way, not just with adults, but also with kids. My boys actually look forward to having their teeth cleaned each time 🙂 Dr. Tran and her staff always go above and beyond to make sure that her patients are comfortable. I have extra bones at the bottom of my teeth (i.e. tori) so it always hurts when they do the x-ray…but the dental assistants have been very patient each time. They find ways to make it work for me.

Dr Tran and her staff are amazing, friendly, and very professional. A day or two before each appointment a staff calls and reminds me of the appointment and asks if there’s anything I need to make my visit more comfortable. What makes this office great is that the Doctors actually take their time to explain and educate you on what’s happening with your teeth and what needs to be done to keep your teeth healthy. Another plus side to this office is that their office is sterile and I know for a fact that a lot of dental offices aren’t sterile. This office is different from the other offices I’ve been to. They don’t open any equipment until you’re actually in the seat and the Dr is there. And after each one of my appointments, either the staff or the Dr calls me to check up on how I’m feeling and makes sure I come in if I’m feeling any discomfort. I’m very satisfied every time I walk out of the office and highly recommend this place to anyone. They’re not in it to take your money, they actually enjoy taking care of you and your teeth.

My experience getting fast braces was amazing! I saw my teeth moving within 2 weeks! The reason why I decide to get fast braces was because i wanted to have a perfect smile 🙂 It only took me about 4 months to have the smile I’ve always dreamed of! I absolutely love this place! I have nerve damage in my face from previous dental work, and was very reluctant to let my mouth be worked on. However, they were so sweet to me, and made me feel right at home despite the fact I hadn’t seen the dentist in many years. I have been coming to Smooth Dental for about a month now and I couldn’t be happier with the level of professionalism. Dr. Tran is the best! She is always compassionate and constantly asking if I’ am ok or in any pain and making me feel as comfortable as she can possibly make me. When I come in through the front door, they know me by name. Dr. Tran, Larry, Jaime and Jason make me feel like a person rather than a patient. The entire office is friendly and can actually be very funny making me feel more at ease. I’ve never given an online review before but the Smooth Dental Group earned one. In the past I despised all dentist due to unpleasant past experiences. Also due to other dentist I had developed mistrust, paranoia, anxiety and suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder. Well finally I had to do it. My grill was a missing a few segments, gums sore protruding past my lips, & one tooth hanging by a thread. My wife forced me to make that call to Smooth Dental or she would leave me. Dr Tran squeezed me in that same Saturday and did some temporary painless magic (at no charge!!!) I’ve been going to Dr. Tran for over a year now. She and her staff are all GREAT. My wife still hasn’t left me, my dog now comes when I call him, my mental health is stable, my gums pink, my teeth are brilliant and my bank account still looks good. My life is good, and I owe it all to Dr. Tran & staff.

I never thought that I wouldn’t absolutely dread going to the dentist. But Smooth Dental and the staff have definitely accomplish just that. They are extremely helpful and kind to their patients. I got the fast braces recommended by Dr.Tran and within there week I have noticed my top teeth look straight already. Fast braces are a bit painful at times but it will hopefully only be for a few months compared to two years. I had braces before for two years and my teeth shifted back after they were taken off. I’m very thankful that the staff here (Jimmy, Larry, Richard and Dr. Tran) have taken the time to explain about fast braces and really care about the results.

I cannot express how elated I am with Dr. Tran and her entire staff!
Even though I only go there twice a year, the staff always remembers me and brightens up with an excited and warm welcome when I arrive. I feel bad sometimes because I can’t remember all their names . . . I think Keely, Larry, Jason, I want to say Judy? and . . . hmmmm, ahhhh, can’t remember my favorite teeth cleaning persons name at this moment . . . I think there’s like 4 letters in her name . . . maybe starts with an E or T? (Don’t judge me!)
I also love the fact that I have two offices to choose from because I am smack right dab in the middle of both of them. So depending on my plans for the day, I can schedule at the office that makes the most sense.
I even took my kids there “which is always a fun time at the dentist” right? RIGHT! I have teenagers and my daughter is an over dramatic person with the dentist and they work with her so well, she absolutely loves them! Whew!
When my son was soon to have his braces off, we scheduled his wisdom teeth removal through her offices. (His orthodontist didn’t even tell us he had to have them removed.) The specialist did such an amazing job; it was over in just a few minutes. My son had no problems afterwards and didn’t swell like a chipmunk like my nephew did when he had his taken out somewhere else.
I think my favorite thing about Smooth Dental is simply Dr. Tran and the Staff . . . it is nice that I see the same people visit after visit and not different people all the time. To me that says they must love their job and be happy to work there. Dr. Tran is really honest with me which is great because sometimes it’s not what you want to hear, it’s what you need to hear.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the work they do there too, and work I’ve had done so this is experience talking. Between my Chippawaas and I, we have had cleanings, deep cleanings, cavity fills, crowns, wisdom teeth extractions, and I have also had a night guard and teeth cleaning tray made.
My daughter will be due to have her wisdom teeth out within the next year, and after seeing the difference between my son and my nephew, I wouldn’t take her anywhere else.

I originally came to Smooth Dental for cleanings and cavity fills. During one of my appointments Dr.Tran gave me a free braces consultation and told me I’d be a great candidate for their fast braces treatment. Originally I wanted the clear aligners, Clear correct, but she strongly suggested fast braces because it’s cheaper and much faster! I started my treatment May 2019 and was basically done by March 2020 but then covid hit and everything got delayed. The whole staff is wonderful!

Dr. Tran has been my dentist for a few years now and the service I receive each and every visit has always been exceptional! Dr. Tran, along with the rest of her staff, is very friendly and they go out of their way for their patients. Recently, my grandmother who is 86 and wears dentures, came for a visit because she was having a hard time eating. My mother, who is also a patient, brought my grandmother to see Dr. Tran and Dr. Tran was more than helpful, but was honest and suggested my grandmother not get dentures. Dr. Tran suggested she not get the dentures, but just purchase additional glue because it would be a waste of money to get new dentures for my grandmother. I mention this incident because not many dentist or doctors are honest with their patients especially if there’s an opportunity to sell a product. I highly recommend coming to Smooth Dental!! It is the staff here at Smooth Dental that makes a visit to the dentist relaxing. Dr. Tran gets two thumbs up from a satisfied patient!

EMERGENCY VISIT!!!!!!!
I called the number they had posted online and it took me to an answering service, the lady advised me that the offices were just opening up and that they would give my information to the office and that they would call me back shortly. I received a call about 5 minutes later, the young lady advised me that I could be seen immediately at the Santa Ana location. Once I arrived Dr Tran and the young lady I spoke to on the phone took me straight to the back ( first chair I sat in was a dental chair not a waiting room). From that moment on I felt I was in the right place. I expressed to Dr. Tran my extreme fear of going to the dentist because of all the pain I’ve experienced in the past. Dr. Tran sympathized with me and informed me that if she couldn’t get the job done pain free then she would have her mentor come in and do it. I felt like I was in great hands with Dr Tran. My surgical extraction went absolutely pain free. I can honestly say that my only fear of the dentist from here on out is paying whatever my insurance won’t cover.

I can honestly say this place was meant to be for me to go. I have been going through chemo therapy and it messed up my gums pretty badly. I knew it was time to get a dental check up. It is very hard to find a good dentist that will give you the proper treatment and not try to just cheat you for your money. So I went ahead and did my research. I came across Smooth Dental Group. I saw the good reviews so I decided to give it a try. First day for consultation I was a bit nervous because I had not been to the dentist for a while. But I felt very welcomed right away. Dr Tran was very informative and gave me the knowledge to know what is going on with my gums. She was a very nice person and sincere. I appreciate that very much. So on my next appointment I felt ready for my deap cleaning. I thought it was going to be Dr Tran to do this but she assigned me to Jenny (another hygienist). It was the first time meeting her and boy was I very pleased with her work. She did such an amazing job. Jenny was a compassionate person and I know she did all her best to clean my gums. My next appointment I got the other half of my mouth cleaned. I got good news, my gums are healing great! I was so happy when they told me that. I know I made the best choice coming to Smooth Dental. The staff who handles the front desk are nice girls. Ana has a good personality and gives me good advice. Joselyn is super friendly and chipper. 🙂 My next step in my treatment for cancer is radiation. Dr Tran is doing everything she can to heal my gums up before I go through this. She is not only concerned with my oral health but my whole health in general. She has a great staff that does an amazing job. Smooth Dental Group is a place with people who are consistent with keeping up with the health of your pearly whites. I recommend this place if you are looking for a great dentist.

Being a total dental-phobe I was definitely not looking forward to going to the dentist, never have ever since I was a child…but the pain was getting unbearable so I had to bite the bullet. Upon arriving, I was pleasantly greeted by the super friendly staff and cool hi-tech gadgets they used! Ana and Emmeline made it very personable and eased my worries and made me feel much more comfortable that I was going to be taken good care of. Dr. Tran was super knowledgeable and explained everything in detail so I knew exactly what I was getting done and why. She was thorough and I can definitely see she had a high level of expertise as I didn’t feel a thing as she took care of my 3 cavities all in one shot! Steve, who was also very personable and informative, then cleaned my teeth, didn’t feel a thing either, but the smooth & polished teeth afterwards!
