First and foremost, this dentist office is absolutely by far the best I have ever been to in my life. Taken from someone who is constantly worried regarding the appearance of my teeth. Originally from Michigan, I moved to Chicago 3 years ago. Why I picked So-Well? Well I wanted to find an office that was close to my apartment and being it was only a few blocks away I was sold. Second, I was looking for a dentist that offered Invisalign. Now I had braces when I was a kid and being the early teenager that most of us were, I was responsible and didn’t wear my retainer post straightening. Lastly, my first appointment was just a cleaning but once I was in there and met the whole staff, including Doctor Zenobia Sowell, I was convinced this was the place for me.They truly are quite the professionals and great bunch. After cleaning, I decided to schedule an appointment for a consultation for Invisalign. Long story short, they set me up with the 5 month Express (10 sets) changing them out every two weeks. So let’s just say I was in the office alot and I truly enjoyed every visit. Post invisalign, I opted to not only wear the permanent retainer but also the Vivera retainers. It’s alot of work to keep clean but well worth it. Invisalign has seriously changed my life and confidence in my professional and personal life. Never did I think I would feel this great post braces. I work in an office so the clear aspect was perfect and since I am such a OCD person, the process was a breeze. I want to say thank you for the So-Well Dental Associates team who truly changed my life and I would recommend them time and time again. They really do care about the patients dental hygiene and make you feel right at home. They not only look at you as a patient but a good friend (I tend to ramble on regarding my personal life and they are terrific sound boards). I visited Dr. Sowell upon the advice of a lady I sat next to on an airplane. I called first to make sure this dentist was in-network with my insurance, because I don’t have a lot of moneys. I was relieved to learn I didn’t have any cavities. Just an aside, I think switching to an all-natural toothpaste has helped (no particular brand)… I haven’t had a cavity in two years, ever since making the switch. Anyway, the visit went so well, I decided to return for laser whitening. It cost $275, but I drink a lot of coffee, tea, wine, etc… so I thought it would be a good investment. They told me about Invisalign, but I’ve had two sets of braces in the past + was already spending a significant amount of money on the whitening procedure, so I wasn’t interested in doing that right away. Maybe later, since some of my bottom teeth shifted from not wearing my retainer… now they have a procedure where, after you finish Invisalign, they can do something to make your teeth STAY in place, how cool is that? Which is why I might do it later on when I have more moneys. The staff is very kind, very concerned. I had a good experience with them. Dr. Sowell is wonderful. I admit the laser whitening hurt a lot more than I thought it would. In ads, it looks like a spa treatment… quick, painless, and you leave w/ a beautiful smile! However, I don’t have sensitive teeth, or at least didn’t think that I did… but toward the end of the laser treatment and for 24 hours following, I had sensitivity and shooting pains through my teeth, especially the front. They say people react differently to it, some don’t experience anything. Ibuprofen helped, which is what they told me to take. I think I’ll work hard to keep my teeth white (i.e., drink coffee through a straw or something, use maintenance whitening trays, etc.) to keep from having to endure that again. My visits here have been very positive. I have suggested to several of my friends already, as I feel they do good work and have a great attitude which goes a long way in my book. 🙂

Dr. Sowell is awesome because she’s so personable, professional, welcoming, and thoughtful. She takes her time while working on you making sure your listened to, comfortable, relaxed, and not in pain. She really takes the time to get to know her patients and staff, whom she trains very well. I just adore her, she’s my favorite dentist who will continue to get my business!

This is my go to place for any dental work. Highly recommend getting a cleaning by Jocelyn who is a highly skilled hygienist. Dr. Sowell is also a very smooth and efficient dentist. I received three fillings and a frenectomy from her on the same day. Also the staff at the front desk are very knowledgeable and friendly.

I always get excellent service at Sowell.  I come in for what I need and they don’t try to push extra procedures or unnecessary work done as I have read about many other dentist offices.  They threw a really fun neighborhood get to know you party last year where is was great to sit and chat with all the staff and other clients and get to know everyone on a more personal level.  I really hope they do another one this year!  I’ve been with them for about 6 years now and I can’t see going anywhere else 🙂

Amazing and friendly service provided by the whole office staff. From the moment I walked in I was made to feel very welcomed and received exceptional treatment. What can be a dreaded experience for some was made to be very pleasant. I highly recommend Sowell dental–not only for the quality dental care, but for the fantastic customer service.

I must say that this establishment is top notch, from the receptionist to the dental technicians to Dr. Sowell. I was so worried about my dental well-being, but they quickly put me at ease and put a plan in place, tailored to my schedule availability, always with a smile. My new dentist rocks! When I called to make my appointment it was after hours but Dr. Sowell just happen to be there and answered the phone. She answered all my questions regarding my appointment and even scheduled it for me. The next day I received a call from the office to confirm my appointment and to make sure I didn’t have any additional questions. On appointment day the staff was very friendly and prompt. My hygienist was thorough and gentle and answer the 101 questions I had about next steps with my dental health. My experience was great! Service was on-point, office clean and up on all the current dental technology. Thanks to my dentist friend who recommended her!

I found out about SoWell Dental thru a Groupon Advertisement for Invisalign.  I looked up the office to see if they took my insurance and once I found that they did, I made an appointment and Very Pleased that I did.   I have been coming here for a couple years now and the staff is always really friendly and helpful.  The big  thing that sets this practice apart from others that i have been to in the past is the focus on the health and maintenance of your teeth and gums.  I feel that this office takes the time to take a closer look at any issues or potential issues and will put a plan in place. Dr. Sowell is very patient, gentle and kind as well as hygetist Cheryl and Alexia.  Thank you Groupon because I am Very glad to have found So Well Dental 🙂
