I am extremely impressed with the sterilization and organizational processes that Solana Family Dental has put in place due to Covid. They really have gone above and beyond on this front with great attention paid to patient and staff safety. And I of course have always been impressed with the exceptional quality of care provided by Dr. Sandler and staff. I am happy to highly recommend Solana Family Dental for all family and individual dental care!!!

The other reviewers are correct, this is as good as it gets!  Dr. Michelle is friendly and funny and good movies to watch as you are being worked on …but more importantly is how she stands behind her work.  She did two crowns for me to repair faulty crowns and remove a gap between them.  Unfortunately, one of the crowns moved again creating the gap and an area for food and bacteria to get lodged.  When Dr Michelle saw that she redid one of the two crowns at NO CHARGE to remove the gap again.  No questions asked, no arguing, she stands behind her work and redid it in two sessions.  That is a dentist that I will return to…you should go see her if you want to be treated by a true professional!

Awesome! Can’t say I have ever had a more positive experience at any office and  lord knows I have had tons of work done on my teeth. I immediately made future  appointments for myself as well as for my sons. The whole staff is so positive, professional and friendly. Dr. Sandler answered all my concerns and I am actually looking forward to my next treatment.

Does anybody really “love” their dental visit? But dental hygiene is a fact of life, and both Dr. Sandler and the dental technicians who do the routine cleanings and inspections at Solana Family Dental are terrific. Of the ten dental offices where I’ve had work done (I’ve moved around quite a bit), I’d rate this one in the top two, and can highly recommend them.

I’ve been a patient at Solana Family Dental since moving to the San Diego area in 2010. Both Dentists and the staff are excellent. A modern office, new technology and equipment, very clean and a really pleasant experience. They work with your insurance to get the most affordable procedure prices. I recommend them to everyone.

Drs. Michelle Sandler and Wanda Kauffman moved their practice from Boston to Solana Beach, and we are the direct beneficiaries of that!  The very professional doctors have seen all of my family, and all 5 of us have excellent opinions of their work. Combined with high technology cameras and dental instruments, plus years of professional experience, the Sandler/Kauffman daughter and mother team rocks.  Congratulations, and keep up the good work.

Professional, effective, efficient, and caring. The team at Solana Family Dental are the best I’ve ever worked with. Their online systems and phone staff make bookings easy, and their in office crew are phenomenal. The ladies in my life like kissing me more after a visit to Solana Family….what else can I say?

Dr Sandler is excellent and truly cares about what is best for her patients. Her and her staff are very efficient, friendly and professional. I typically don’t like going to the dentist, but I actually look forward to seeing Dr Sandler!

These folks are great. I’ve been going here for 6 years and really pleased. I moved 30 min away and still come back because they are so good. Very friendly, gentle cleaning and nice to visit. If I have to go to the dentist this is a great place to go.

Gentle. Caring. After waiting 10 years to go to dentist, due to my fear of the dentist, I finally went in with bleeding gums and pain. Dr. Sandler and her staff, including Stephanie, Veronica, Alexis, Liz, and the front desk staff were very calming, soothing, and let me know I was in control of the experience. My cost and insurance cost were explained in detail. Wow!! Who knew going to the dentist could be healing and kind.

From the moment I called to set up a first appointment to the moment I left their office, EVERYONE was absolutely friendly, caring and thoughtful. Dr. Michelle Sandler was very attentive, lighthearted and really concerned about makIng the simplest and most effective intervention. All the stress I experienced about being at a dentist quickly melted away and I totally trusted that I was in the right place.

I moved to the San Diego area this past year and had to find a new dentist.  I had been going to my prior dentist in Northern California for over 20 years, so finding one to replace him, whom I trusted, respected, and over the years, had developed a great relationship with, was not helping my stress level of moving to a new place. A friend referred me to Solana Family Dental and I could not be more delighted with this choice. I love the fact that the office is brand new and has the latest technology and equipment. They even have flat screen TV’s with headphones so you can zone out while they work on you. Everyone at Solana Family Dental is very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I needed a crown in the very front of my mouth and I was more than a little nervous that it would look funny and different than the other teeth around it. It turned out incredible … perfectly natural, and I could not be happier.   I have had work done by both Dr. Michelle Sandler and her mom, Dr. Wanda Kauffman, and was very impressed with the both of them. I would definitely recommend the Solana Family Dental to friends and family.

My husband and I started coming to this office after reading some great reviews! OFFICE – They do a really good job making sure you are safe during this time. Before you enter, they take your temperature. Everyone is wearing a mask. They have a front waiting area as well as a back one to spread out the patients. Their office is very clean as well! STAFF – The staff here are incredible! They are all very friendly and attentive. I have interacted with Liz and Jen (admin staff) and they are very prompt and professional whether it was through email or on the phone. They never made you feel like you had a bad question. They helped you navigate through everything and made switching to a new dentist very smooth. I always say the front office staff are the ones that start off your visits so they really make the difference here. Dr. Sandler was the one that did my initial exam as well as my husbands. She has so much energy!! My husband and I both enjoy seeing her as you can really see she loves her job and interacting with her patients. She does a great job explaining her findings during the exam to keep you involved. We are incredibly happy to find this office as I can say I finally found my place. I had a former dentist for almost my entire life until he retired so we recently switched to another place in Encinitas for about a year. Still didn’t feel like I found my “people” until I came here. We are happy with the switch! I want to say we will be forever patients as long as they are open!

I mean, who likes going to the dentist’s office? Not me! But at Solana Family Dental, they make me feel comfortable and at ease and I really trust everyone here. I’ve had these huge bright white spots on my teeth for as long as I can remember, and I’ve mentioned them to other dentists and the suggestions I was given were either insanely long or expensive processes, so I had resigned myself to the idea that I would just have to live with them. The first time I came to this dentist, I mentioned them, and she got rid of them that day in lie 5 minutes. I was so impressed that she was able to do it that easily.
All of the staff here is sweet and helpful and they always take me back for my appointment on time. I tell all of my friends and family in the area to come here and no one has been disappointed yet! I 100% recommend this dentist!

Excellent cleaning, x-rays, and consultation with dentist. The hygienist did a superb job and my teeth and gums felt terrific after the procedure! She was on time and very personable so the time flew by. I would give her my highest recommendation.

AMAZING! Super honest and friendly. Dr. Sandler explained everything fully and made sure I understood. She did not make me feel bad, since I’m not perfect about my teeth. I’ve finally found a trustworthy dentist in SD!

My fave dentist team ever! Dr. Sandler and her entire staff are terrific–skilled, smart, super-nice, full of optimism, positive energy and knowledge. Would recommend them to anyone, even total dental-phobes.
