I have been a patient of Dr. Bo and his staff for almost 10 years and have never had a problem. They have fixed what other dentists screwed up, are gentle and trustworthy. When I don’t have dental insurance, I pay at the time of the service (for my cleanings with Kathy) or pay half up front and the other half when we finish. I have never had a bad experience in any way at Dr. Bo’s and have complete faith in him and his awesome staff as they do their best to help me keep my teeth healthy and looking good. My niece referred me to Dr. Bo after I moved from Naples, FL to CA. One of my front tooth’s crown broke on Friday afternoon and had to have it replace immediately. I called Dr. Bo office and his staff was able to arrange the next day work for me. The office does not open on Saturday but due to my emergency request, he was able to accommodate. The experience was pain free and he was able to put a temporary replacement. I am a happy customer and will come back for more dental work.

I have been going to Dr Bo for over 25 years. He is a kind and gentle dentist with great concern for his patients. His staff is welcoming and friendly and do their best to help me out. My son had some issues with his pediatric dentist so I begged Dr Bo to see him even though he was young. We tried it out and my son who is now almost 20 refuses to ever see another dentist again. Kathy who does the teeth cleaning has always been the nicest person as well. She even opted to clean my teeth without the machine because I struggle with dental work in general. Overall a very warm place with kind people and great music . My teeth are amazing as a result of my many years of having a wonderful dentist. He removed all of my metal cavities (I had over 24) and replaced with the white enamel. Love it!

After checking out Yelp for different dentists, I chose to go to Dr. Bo. I read all the reviews about “unnecessary dental work” and chose to go to Dr. Bo because of the wonderful reviews regarding the work that he does. I suffer from severe anxiety in my regular life and due to several traumatizing dental experiences, I waited about 10 years to return to the dentist. The first thing I loved about Dr. Bo’s office is that his assitants have an office cell phone–so you can text your appointments! This was by far the most amazing thing to me. The women at the front were kind, personable, and were able to work out payment plans for me for whatever my insurance didn’t cover. Upon declaring my dental terror, Dr. Bo offered me these amazing noise cancelling headphones he has that help drown out the sound of the drill. His dental chair had this back massaging thing, and one of the chairs has a television. All of this was fine enough to make me like the place, but not enough to make me comfortable being there–until I met Dr. Bo! Dr. Bo has an incredibly calming personality. He makes jokes, always seems happy, and seems to genuinely enjoy his job. Aside from the amazing work he did on my teeth, he also noticed that a cavity I had filled as a child was covered up by another dentist I had as a teen, rather than being removed. Needless to say, he showed it to me on a camera and took care of it. I’m surprised to read the reviews regarding upselling and whatnot with Dr. Bo’s office, because that is FAR from the experience that I had. In fact, I was so scared my first time that he didn’t charge me for the laughing gas. After surviving the first visit and ACTUALLY NOT FEELNG ANYTHING, I was willing to return. Wonderful place. I highly recommend. =)

He takes his time with me because he knows I’m a Chicken at the dentist office. I have referred several family members and a bunch of friends and business associates. Dr Bo is AWESOME! My family (myself, hubby and 21 y.o daughter) have been happy, satisfied, devoted patients and fans of Dr. Bo and his entire staff for more than 10 years. We have had full services performed there ranging from cleanings, fillings, crowns, veneers and even an implant. His work is impeccable and he is extremely gentle and really cares about his patient’s comfort and ease. The office is state of the art and features digital X-rays, ultrasonic cleaning techniques, the latest and greatest equipment and is spotless! I have even had fillings done that didn’t require Novocaine! His staff is efficient, well-trained and really, really nice. They do everything that they can to make sure you understand exactly what is needed and never, ever have done anything that wasn’t necessary. Appointments times are very flexible and they stay open late. Dr. Bo is easily reached after hours if there is an emergency that can’t wait! We recommend him to all of our friends and anybody else who will listen to us rave about dental care. We love you Dr. Bo and your entire team!!!!!

They were able to take care of my dental urgency issue without getting out of hand recommending all kinds of procedures. Dr Bo is always trying to save the natural tooth root as long as there are healthy gums and not quick to say dental implants are the solution like so many other dentists. He is also smart to do root canal first on any tooth needing crown , which so minimizes any future issues that may occur. A conservative practical dentist and their office staff so professional and experienced . Best kept secret of South Bay dentistry !

My experience with South Bay Dental Esthetics as a new patient was Awesome. The staff iwas very professional, detailed and nice when I called to schedule my first appointment and did not disappoint me at my appointment. They were friendly. They reviewed paperwork quickly and I was in the exam room getting X-rays taken within 20 minutes. I met with the dentist, Dr. Bo, he was very nice, compassionate, listened and seemed genuine in establishing a personal relationship. He examined my teeth. We discussed my concerns, issues he saw and possible treatment. I believe they strive to provide a unique experience and personalized treatment plan for their patients. I was on vacation in Canada when a crown Dr. Bo had “installed” ten years ago popped loose. Now I’m a pretty smart guy; a bit of super-glue and I’m good until I get home. I very carefully cleaned and dried the crown, made absolutely sure that that I wasn’t going to glue my tongue to my cheek or the roof of my mouth, and actually got it to stay in place. So I get home, call for and get an appointment, and proceed to tell the folks all about “my field-expedient dental procedure”. Bo, after laughing hysterically, politely explained that any pharmacy sells temporary dental adhesive, and that super-glue isn’t really a good idea. Needless to say, he had to totally destroy the original crown to get it back out, due entirely to my own “super-glue” procedure. I expected the standard “make a mold, install a temporary, see you in two weeks while the lab makes your new crown” story. Nope. Dr. Bo now has the tech to actually create a 100% finished crown, in his office, in the same visit. Note: I moved from South Bay to Phoenix, AZ over 5 years ago. Because Dr. Bo AND HIS ENTIRE STAFF are nothing short of fantastic, I continue to travel to Redondo Beach for all of my dental needs. He even offered and actually dropped me at LAX in time to make an earlier flight! How’s THAT for service!

Dr Bo is WONDERFUL!!! He is always so gentle, warm and friendly and he does quality work at affordable prices, which is hard to find these days! My family has been going to Dr. Bo for over 14 years. Me, my husband and our three kids have had a variety of procedures performed that have lasted over the years, including fillings, crowns, veneers and broken teeth. When my daughter broke her front tooth skateboarding, Dr. Bo and his staff accommodated us without a wait, and made her laugh and smile again. Been a patient since ’92. Having nothing but 2 surface cavities my entire life you would think I would be an easy patient. NOPE- Afraid of needles, hypersensative teeth, a big cry baby just getting my teeth clean, Dr. Bo has treated my with kit gloves- He is the epitome of the BEST DENTIST, Numero UNO #1!!! Always gracious, gental touch, exquisite work and….available. I’ve referred numerous people with serious issues (abcesses, root canals, gum issues etc.) to him…they all have done the same. I can’t thank Dr. Bo enough for making my experiences painless (I did have scalling performed) & worry free. A HUGE plus, his staff has been with him since I started. Tells you a lot about his charactor. Dr Bo and his staff are beyond professionals…they are caring and personable which is key in this industry. I went to Dr. Bo after having serious issues at a different local dentist. I needed 2 crowns to be put in ASAP and the team at Dr. Bo’s office not only remembered who I was after the first phone call but also were very good at getting me in to see him immediately. In addition, my insurance only covered 1 x-ray per 6 months which I had used at my previous dentist, Dr. Bo’s team went ahead and waved that fee for me which I thought was a really nice gesture and showed that they were more focused on my well being. I also really, really want to thank Dr. Bo for the excellent treatment I received. He made sure that I was comfortable during the entire procedure of getting 2 crowns replaced and honestly it is the best and most painless procedure I have ever had. Really for anyone who is sensitive to needles Dr. Bo is honestly THE BEST dentist I have been to.

Dr. Bo and his staff our great. I had a lot of anxiety when first coming here after years of not going to the dentist. I’m glad I did. They are always friendly and I love chatting with Dr. Bo. I saw him on a flight at LAX once and he was exactly the same: friendly, joking, and caring. Yes, my treatment plan had a lot on it and I was intimidated at first but they worked with my insurance to time it so as to minimize out-of-pocket expenses. I went to this place to make my mouth the best I could. I’d say if you are looking for a place that will just do a filling, you should look for a bargain place a little more inland. If you want premium service and peace of mind, then you won’t regret it going here! Remember, you don’t have to do everything so just let Br. Bo know what your concerns are- I’ve never known him to be unreasonable. It’s worth mentioning Kathy and Alexis are great too! Kathy is so quick and efficient with the cleanings.

My sister, who lives in Redondo Beach (I live in Burbank, work in Torrance), always struggled with her teeth and would even cover her mouth when laughing. One day I noticed she is smiling with confidence and her teeth and gums were amazing. So she told me about Dr. Bo and Kathy. It took me months to decide and switch from my regular dentist (whose office is just half a mile from my home) to Dr. Bo. He found and fixed several problems I thought were impossible to fix (my old dentist tried to fix, which cost me a lot of money too). I was amazed, such a talent. Kathy, the awesome hygienist got my gums healthy back again, and is doing everything possible to keep it that way … which involves some work on my part too 🙂 Getting X-rays done was not so bad, I tried to cooperate best I could, not move and stop breathing for a few seconds during exposure. Only my troubled teeth needed pictures taken from a few more angles for Dr. Bo’s “troubleshooting” purpose. So, my wife now (who works in Glendale, lives in Burbank) switched over to Dr. Bo after her crown broke, and our previous dentist put temporary fix very poorly but charged us sooo much. Almost as much one would pay for a new crown. Dr. Bo fixed it correctly. Even his temporary fix was so good that it took my wife forever to go get her permanent crown. So highly recommend Dr. Bo and his team, it is worth every dime!

I started going to Dr Bo over 7 years ago when I lived in Redondo Beach and am still a loyal patient even though i have moved to Sherman Oaks. Not only is the office spotless and very modern and innovative, the staff is amazing and Dr Bo is the best. Ive seen a lot of dentists in my day (im anal about my teeth) and Dr Bo is by far the cream of the crop. For example, today i had to get a crown and they provided me a cozy down blanket and music to listen to during the procedure. My jaw got tired and a little sore and i got a little jaw massage in the middle of my procedure. Does your dentist do this? probably not! The dental hygienist is gentle and very thorough as well.

Dr. Bo is by far the best dentist in LA. Let’s just say I would never go anywhere else … and I haven’t for over 15 years. I live in SM near thousands of Dentists and wouldn’t dream of switching- even if it’s an extra 30 minute drive- because Dr. Bo and the entire team are worth it. They care, are 1000 percent professional and are just high quality all around. I’m severely afraid of pain and have never once felt uncomfortable or scared no matter the procedure.
