Where do I begin, Dr. Pouria Maleki and his staff are amazing. I have always had a phobia about going to the dentist because of my past experiences and Dr. Maleki has completely changed my view. Thanks to his amazing work, I am no longer to go to the dentist and believe it or not, I actually look forward to my dental appointments. He never makes me feel bad about my dental health, as had been the case with other dentists that I had seen who would scold me about my habits. Instead he gives me gentle and caring reminders about how to continue my good dental hygiene. He is always on time, I never experience long wait times in his office, their offices are so nicely decorated that you forget you’re at a dental office. All of his staff kindly greet me as I enter and the doctor always has a smile on his face. They communicate so well with each other because in the past when I have called their office with a message for Dr. Maleki, I know for a fact that he has received because he will comment on my message and promptly responds to my needs. And the most important part, which I must mention, all of the procedures that he has ever done on me have been so painless. Since I had really neglected my health and was so afraid to go to the dentist, my teeth were in a very bad shape. But thanks to Dr. Maleki, I am proud to smile again and feel so much better about myself.

Best dentist, he will make you smile no matter what and i love it! it’s easy to get to. They pick up your phone calls, get back to you with information regarding your insurance and estimate costs or other questions quickly and via email, and are HONEST- which is what I am always looking for when it comes to our health.
I had the same hygienist which I thought was great and she was friendly, took her time, and gave great suggestions as my teeth are sensitive. Dr. Maleki always answer all my questions and advise me putting all his knowledge and care. I appreciated. Honestly he is the best of the best! By far the best dentist I’ve ever been to. I walked in just to check out he office and ask questions. As soon as I entered I was very warmly greeted and then invited back into the offices by the doctor himself. He very willingly showed me around and made me feel perfetly at ease. He checked out my tooth pain, wrote me a script for antibiotics and assured me I would be just fine. Due to several rounds of chemo for breast cancer my teeth need a lot of work. But I am no longer completely freaked out about the procedures that will follow. I would and have recommended him already. He is hands down the best!!!

Dr. Maleki has been my dentist for over 7 years. I have always had a wonderful experience with him and his staff. All 3 of my children also go to him and they have a great time every time they go, which is every six months. One of my boys at the age of five needed to get one of his baby teeth pulled bc he had caused some trauma to the nerve and per the dr. Recommendation we pulled the tooth and u would think it was the most traumatic experience he would have but instead the Dr. Asked him if he wanted to pull the tooth out after he had already loosened the tooth and made sure everything was good. To this day he thinks it’s the coolest thing he has done. Dr. Maleki is wonderful with children and I recommend him to anyone I know. He is also really good about getting back to you if u have any emergencies after hours.

Who isn’t afraid of the dentist??? But, my experience at South Coast Dentistry was extremely pleasant from the accommodating staff to the Doctors who were professional and very knowledgeable. My husband is terrified of the dentist, which has caused his teeth, and overall dental hygiene to suffer. His teeth got so bad, that he had no choice but to go see a dentist. Refusing to go back to the dentist he was seeing, who jacked up his mouth even more. I had to find a new dentist. I searched high and low and came across Dr. Maleki at South Coast Dentistry. He came highly recommended and had the best yelp reviews in all of Orange County. I saw a lot of patients saying that they were terrfied of the dentist but that Dr. Maleki has changed that. I called and made an appointment, they were able to get my husband in right away. I thank God for finding Dr. Maleki, as he is truly a dental angel! He is patient, and kind, understanding, knowledgeable, intelligent, and best of all he calms my husband, and makes him feel relaxed. He was able to have 4 teeth extracted at one time with just laughing gas! Before he would have to be knocked out completely. We are so thankful to Dr. Maleki and his entire team/staff. I can not stop smiling! I love Dr. Maleki and his staff. I have been horrified of dentistry my whole life which has led my son to have the same anxiety and fear. Now after a few years of coming here I feel so much healthier and less anxious.

Dr Maleki really makes an effort to be as personable as possible creating a very congenial environment with great dental results! The staff is experienced and are willing to go the extra mile for you. Being a college student it can be hard to schedule appointments when I am on breaks, however they are very helpful when working around my schedule. Dr. Maleki and his staff are awesome!!! The staff running the front desk are attentive, friendly, and proficient. The waiting area has an aquarium that keeps my 2 and 7 year old boys entertained before being called back into a room. We’ve never waited more than 5 minutes. The back office staff is amazing! I just came in for my 6 month check up with my favorite crew today and i am so happy to see the new facilities. The previous office was so nice but this new office is AMAZING with so many added perks for the family. I have 4 kids ranging from 3-17 years old and Dr. Maleki and his team are by far the most accommodating office i have ever visited in my 55 years on planet earth, LOL. They have an awesome kids zone that has an old school arcade that i just love. My 3 yo asks us to visit anytime we are near the office and that is unbelievable to me bc she is horrified of all doctors. But Dr. Maleki seems to just has the best chairside manners and a personality that makes the most nervous families feel like home. He actually calls his patients his extended family and treats us all like we are family.

I came across Dr. Maleki when searching for a new dentist from moving across country. I am embarrassingly 25 years old and deathly afraid of the dentist (and also have very sensitive teeth). As soon as I stepped foot into his office I felt EXTREMELY welcomed, and it just got better from there. Now, going to Dr. Maleki’s office feels like visiting family. I have experienced going through Invisalign, routine cleaning, and even to having an infected wisdom tooth pocket. Dr. Maleki was even personally checking up on me on his day off. I’m writing this review to share my experience with South Coast over the last year and a half during which I went through the process of having a broken bridge replaced with 4 dental implants. My bridge replaced my four front teeth that I lost in an accident as a teenager. 25 years later it finally broke and needed to be replaced. Dr. Maleki was very patient and thorough in explaining to me all my options and the pros and cons of each one. I choose dental implants. This consisted of extracting the existing broken teeth, bone graft to replace the bone that had receded over time, implanting the new implants with additional bone grafting, and then installing the permanent teeth on the implants. The other Dr. that the office brings in to do the extractions, bone grafting and implants is also very patient and very good at what he does. His name is Dr. Rafi. The total process consisted of maybe 10 appointments over a year. Some where just a few minutes other were over an hour. I have now had my finished implants for about 4 months and I am very happy that I chose Dr. Maleki and Dr. Rafi to do all the work. My implants look great and feel great. My bridge was never this strong. It really feels like I have my original teeth back. I was always treated respectfully and kindly and I always felt like both doctors had my best interest at heart and genuinely are in the business to help people who are going through difficult dental situations. The focus was always on getting me the best long term results in terms of appearance and functionality and I am very thankful to have found them. Dr. Maleki is probably one of the best dentist around. He keeps current with the latest dental practices and procedures. He goes above and beyond to explain what he will be doing and why. My wife has been seeing Dr Maleki for years I just recently had my older son turn 2 and realized I or them haven’t had a cleaning or check up! Pheww cavity clear and super clean thanks to Veronika and Brittany! My boys fell in love with Dr M and he seemed so at ease with two kids under two!!! Big plus! I actually had some concerns about a tooth that had shifted after I had braces 15 yrs ago! Who wears retainers for 15 yrs, LOL! He gave me a fe options and I think we decided on an quick case of a few clear retainers by Invisalign! It is going to be less than 4 months and this guys back!!! Plus since wifey had started her case with him 5 yrs ago Shima hooked it up a little bit too!!! I have always had anxiety getting dental work done, it isn’t exactly a fun process and I usually try to avoid it.
Dr. Maleki and his staff have always eased my fears and made the experience feel as positive as it possibly could. (I also love that they have TV’s on the ceiling to distract me)
I always review the cost before I have any procedure done and make sure my insurance will cover it. The staff has always been AMAZING helping me work through it financially and I get to pick and choose what I want done without any surprises.

Dr. Maleki has a really unique balance of being educational and making you feel like he’s also a friend. My first exam with him was thorough and I learned so much about my own oral health than I ever have in the past. I had no idea that I had so much wear from the grinding I did at night. He was able to show me the wear with the pictures they took of my teeth. I also learned what 5 years of being away from the dental office can do to my gum health! Dr Maleki is amazing with children! My 3 yo was very resistant to sitting in the seat, and Dr Maleki was so patient and came out to the toy area to help him be more comfortable. He built trains with my son and even did the exam right in the toy area. He emphasized the importance of building trust with the children so they’ll be willing to cooperate for better dental health down the road. He also takes a non-invasive approach to treatment whenever possible. We are very pleased and highly recommend!
After Recieving his dental degree at NYU in 2006, Dr.Maleki returned back to the west coast near his home town of Placentia. He has helped educate and serve the community of orange county through out his whole career. Dr. Maleki treats dentisry as an art and patients like family or friends. He is always involved with the community and strives to help and educate his community whenever possible.
