My wife was referred to Dr. Caplanis by our family dentist Dr. Takai, before he retired.  Her treatment plan called for a new implant to support a partial, by using a snap.  Yes, we were very, very, concerned about this procedure.  I showed my wife the long list of impressive credentials that Dr. Caplanis had and then scheduled a consultation.  We found Dr. Caplanis to be a very confident, proud, and warm-hearted person, that melted away our remaining fears.  The entire procedure went exactly as planned, and was painless (…).

I highly recommend DR NICHOLAS if you have a gum receding problem. 2 months ago he performed gum graft for me, the result was so impressive and the pain wasn’t bad at all. I didn’t have any problem during healing process and the pain wasn’t really bad. I like that you can call and ask them anytime if you have questions. The staff are very friendly and professional. Excellent accommodations.

Dr Caplanis’s work was the most excellent of any physician I have ever encountered. His expertise and natural ability was beyond measure. Dr. Caplanis always seeks perfection when doing an implant. His staff is friendly and very helpful. They took care of billing my insurance and walking me through the procedure and helping me feel at ease.  It’s impossible to find a better implant doctor that will do a more impeccable job than Dr. Caplanis.  My implant turned out beautifully and it a much simpler process than I ever imagined. He came highly recommended to me by my own dentist. I highly recommend him as well. You will love his work.

(…) Misaligned teeth and chronic clenching caused my gum recession and ultimately multiple broken teeth. Dr. Caplanis did a brilliant job with a rear molar implant about 7 years ago. Unfortunately, I didn’t correct the underlying problem until 2 years ago. Even with all that abuse the original tissue graft was structurally sound. I recently elected to addresses my self-inflicted aesthetic gum recession with another full graft. Although I’ve since moved to Los Angeles, there was no question about driving 60 miles each way to see Dr. Caplanis despite having access to great periodontists close to home. I couldn’t be happier with my decision and Dr. Caplanis’s work. I’ve had great results again and not even a pizza burn this time. Honestly, it didn’t even feel like I had surgery.

If you’re like me, you rely on reviews of others to make decisions about who to see. I’m posting this review because he is a great doctor, I truly consider myself lucky to be his patient, and think others will benefit from his excellent work.

I’ve struggled with severe gum recession, starting as a teenager, and the constant concern that I might lose my teeth.  At the recommendation of my regular dentist I saw Dr. Caplanis.  He performed a detailed inspection of my mouth and recommended corrective surgery to build up the recessed areas.  After a short recovery, much better!

Dr. Caplanis is kind, thoughtful, wonderful and consistent in providing quality care. The staff in Redlands and Orange County are all kind and professional. Thank you Dr. Caplanis and staff!

(…) Did an implant surgery and gum graft at the same time – I was terrified but during the surgery he made me feel calm and talked me the procedure.  I went home with almost no pain and minimal swelling and was able to go to work the next day.  Two weeks later the assistant Jessica removed my stitches and walked me through the next step. I asked a question and she answered but also got Dr. C to come in and check and answer my question again to confirm.  I highly recommend him and his office staff.

I recently had a tooth implant done by Dr. Caplanis and I am beyond impressed by the great work and service that he and his staff provided for me. I was fearful of what a tooth implant procedure would entail, but Dr. Caplanis walked me through the entire process. Dr. Caplanis and his staff provided me with top-notch care and genuinely cared about me as a patient. I was thoroughly impressed with the outcome and should I ever need any kind of oral surgery again I will only go to Dr. Caplanis and his team, the best service around!

I was recommended to Dr. Caplanis by my dentist when I needed gum surgery to help curb gum disease. The entire staff was excellent in my treatment and care and I continue cleanings there to keep gum disease at bay. I would highly recommend this office to anyone needing periodontal care.

Dr Caplanis is the best! I needed an implant 4 years ago to fill the space for a baby molar that didn’t have a permanent tooth (…). I went for a consultation and felt at ease immediately. Dr, Caplanis is one of the best in implant dentistry and from what I understand, highly sought after for his knowledge. The procedure was very quick and better than getting a cavity filled or having a root canal! I was able to work from home again that same day, and my recovery was quick. The office gives you EVERYTHING you need – prescriptions, post-op instructions, etc – before your procedure and follows up with you the same day to make sure you’re ok. Dr. Caplanis guarantees all his work, as long as you come to all follow-up visits before you receive your crown and annually thereafter (…).

Dr. Caplanis is kind, skilled, and thorough. He did a surgery for me and it was well done and helpful. Maria is the dental hygienist and she is simply the BEST! She is gentle, very thorough, quick and very sweet. No one compares! Go to this office and you will be very satisfied! (…)

(…) From the service level to the procedure I have never had a better dental experience! I had an implant attached to my jaw and NEVER felt discomfort above a level 1!! Besides the excellent treatment, the office staff are friendly and beyond accommodating. If you need an implant, get it done HERE.

Dr. Caplanis was very outgoing, kind, and professional while my daughter was having a frenectomy surgery preformed. He answered all of our questions and was very thorough. The other staff members were also very kind and always asked how our day had been. We definitely recommend him to you no matter what your needs are and will see him for our other oral surgery needs. My daughter’s surgery turned out to go very smoothly and was performed with great precision, and is now healing very nicely. The office also has a very nice environment and we will definitely be back!!

1 year ago I was told I needed an Implant due to an infection. I’ve already invested a small fortune in my teeth so needless to say I was devastated. My dentist referred me to Dr Caplanis and told me he was the best in OC. My case was complicated and I needed a bone graft. From my very first appointment I felt I was in good hands. Dr Caplanis was wonderful and compassionate. I felt secure in him going through this process. Everyone there was great, the office was immaculate. If I could give 10 stars I would. If you need an implant see Dr Caplanis, you won’t regret it!

I had a gingivectomy done with Dr.Caplanis and I can only say wonderful things about him. I researched and consulted with different doctors before choosing Dr. Caplanis. On the first visit I felt confident that he was a good, honest, and professional doctor. He did an excellent job cutting my gums. He is a perfectionist doing his job and he truly looks after the well being of his patients, which I have to say, it is not common on many doctors these days. Thumbs up for Dr. Caplanis. Dr. Caplanis and his entire team are comforting, knowledgeable, and incredible at their work. Unfortunately, my general dentist missed following up on a tooth that had internal resorption. The tooth needed to be extracted and my choices were to have a hole in my smile or an implant.
After many interviews with different periodontists, I found Dr. Caplanis. He listened to my story, explained how he could help and gave multiple suggestions of different techniques that could be done. He answered all of my questions in detail. He was never rushed and took time with me to make sure I understood what was going to happen.
In the end, I have a beautiful smile again with an implant. I am incredibly thankful for Dr. Caplanis and his expertise.
