Dr. Farrokhi is incredibly kind and knowledgable. Since I have moved a lot over the last six years, I have been to many different dentists, but she has been the best by far. The office is clean and beautiful, it is in a nice area, the staff are all really nice, and the actual work on my teeth (I had two cavity fillings) was so quick and painless. She teaches dentistry in addition to being a dentist and I truly feel like I am in the hands of an expert, she is just awesome, and I will come back as long as she practices.

Dr. Farina Farrokhi is the best dentist I could ask for. She is kind, thorough and incredibly intelligent. I have lived all over the world and no dentist has taken the time to effectively and efficiently address my TMJ the way she has. I have suffered for years from the aftermath of teeth grinding… even with a retainer. She found an appropriate and effective solution for me after one visit! This was my first checkup since the pandemic halted all non-essentials. I am obsessed with my teeth and 1 year felt like an eternity without a proper cleaning. I will never go to another dentist… Dr. Farrokhi is the Best! period. I know this because I have had other dentists throughout my life, but because I raised my kids in Maplewood I brought them to SO Family dentistry and as a result I too met Dr. Farrokhi. I switched when we moved here, and now I know that I know the difference they are stuck with me and my family. For specialists, Dr. Farrokhi has relationships with excellent doctors as well – I have had to have several surgeries so I am grateful for the referrals and the care I received from Dr. Farrokhi during the procedures and after.

Very gentle, caring and concerned along with Professionalism is what comes to mind about Dr Farrokhi and her staff. The office is nice and clean with a Vintage look but high Tech. Brass door handles, high mahogany ceiling fan with gentle lighting is just a small taste of elegance this office entails. Love that the office is seated in a homelike setting with trees and driveway not like the hustle and bustle of city life. Staff is fashionable and well kept reflecting the Dr who is “chic” herself. I’m happy I finally found someone I can relate to, who is humble and not haughty just because she knows her craft and is skilled. I highly recommend South Orange Family Dentistry where you’ll feel at home and not a “factory” for pulling teeth. Thanks and wish y’all the best!!!

Dr. FF has been my kids dentist since they had teeth. At 9 and 7 now they look forward to their check-ups and visiting the office that treats us like family! My family and I have been seeing Dr. Farrokhi for about 4 years now and she is just fantastic with patients, especially my young son! When he first went we found out he needed two root canals in his baby teeth. I was horrified and thought he would never want to go to the dentist again after the procedure. They were so good with him, that he wasn’t even phased and loves going to the dentist to this day. Everyone is wonderful there, Fanny is so friendly and helpful and Gina gives a great cleaning and so friendly as well. I always enjoy going too, which is saying alot!

She takes the time and care explaining every detail about the procedure you are about to go through. Dr. Farrokhi’s manner is calm, friendly, humorous, and professional. I hadn’t been to a dentist in about 8-9 years, and despite that the cleaning I received was the most gentle I’ve experienced. I also love the location and interior. It’s a single floor of a converted house, with private parking for patients in the back. The inside doesn’t feel like a dentist’s office at all, which immediately put me at ease.

Dr.Farrokhi and her team have provided the best dental and compassionate care for my family of 6. Who knew that my 4 kids under 13 would enjoy a visit to the dentist? In fact my 6 year keeps asking when his next appointment is! It’s not just the wonderful bedside manner that keeps him happy but the fun little goodie bags and the treasure chest that he can dig into to get a toy! A big shout out to Gina who I adore and should thank her for listening to all my woes over the past 10 years and being so very cool to my kids!
