Dr. Wyatt is excellent. He even called my son over the weekend to check how he was doing after treatment for an infection. My own experience was a good as my son’s. Nicky, dental technician, did my deep cleaning. She explained everything. She was very careful, and very thorough. She helped my with my nighttime dry mouth, and instructed me on different rinses. Throughout, she was joyful, which made me leave with a (very clean) smile.

I just want to start out by saying this is hands down my lifetime dentist for as long as live in the Tampa area!! About 4 years ago I had a crown done on my FRONT tooth by my prior dentist in New Hampshire, this past sunday the crown broke entirely off leaving me looking like a jackolantern just in time for Halloween lol. I obviously had a mini meltdown so I immediately called MY dentist in brandon of whom I will not name, pressed the option for dental emergency and left a voicemail advising I’d be needing an emergency appointment as soon as possible (expecting a call back on monday). I didnt hear back on sunday so In the meantime I went online looking at reviews for other dentist just incase to make sure I’d be making the right choice in using my primary dentist Ive been a patient of. I found many great reviews on Dr. Wyatt By monday morning I had decided to call South Tampa dentistry instead and see if I could get in with Dr. Wyatt for an emergency appointment as a brand new patient. His receptionist Nikki immediately treated me with the upmost respect and understanding for my situation and made sure that I would get squeezed in immediately. Within 2 hours of my initial call I was sitting in the dentist chair talking directly with Dr Wyatt himself. He was so kind, and educational, and most importantly he was honest. He made me feel like he’s here to help not make a buck off me. He went over my options thoroughly and did what was best for me as the patient not only on the dental aspect, but also financially. I went into his office dreading the pricetag and walked out feeling relieved, impressed, educated and cared for. Dr Wyatt and his staff were all amazing, and I cannot even begin to thank them enough for taking care of me so swiftly and getting me back to looking myself again. Never once was I asked to write a review, and now I understand why the patients online have been so compelled to share their expereinces. This was truly the best customer service experience of my life —-oh and as for my dentist in Brandon, yeah… still hasnt called me back from my emergency call on Sunday- I’ve got a review for them too 😉

I had a great experience at Dr. Wyatt’s clinic on 07/29/15. They worked me in as a new patient with an urgent issue within 24 hours. The staff was very personable. The exam revealed that the areas I thought were decay were actually just stains. However, I had two fillings which had fallen out. Dr. Wyatt replaced them during the encounter and in less than 10 minutes. It was completely painless and required no shots. I was very pleased with the quality of his outstanding work. Also, a breakdown of costs was presented to me prior to the procedure. Later that afternoon, they were able to fit me in for a “catch-up” cleaning (I had not had a cleaning done in 12 years) due to a last minute cancellation. Crystal performed the cleaning and did an amazing job (she removed plaque which I had previously been told was impossible to remove). Again, it was painless. She was very knowledgeable and took a lot of pride in her work. Lastly, due to another cancellation, they were able to work me in for a whitening. Danielle performed the work. She was excellent. I am 50 and my teeth were quite dark and had yellowing present. The process took about an hour and a half. I am very pleased with the results. The lady at the front desk (I can’t remember her name) was very courteous and helpful. She arranged for all of the above work to be done the same day and spoke directly with my insurance provider at my request. I am a physician and appreciate the great care I received from a medical perspective.

Our whole family just switched here due to our old dentist not accepting our insurance. We love it. Waited literally 5 minutes in the waiting room. After being placed in a chair, I was immediately attended to. Everything was explained with a sense of humor thrown in. Everything was spelled out. Dentist took time to show me all X-rays and explain what I was looking at No pressure to have any work performed. Glad we made this choice. Oh, and the open floor plan thing, it was no bother to me. I recently relocated to Tampa from NYC and was looking for a new Dentist in the area when I came across South Tampa Dentistry on Yelp. The positive reviews were spot on. I have been in twice now and Dr. Wyatt and his staff are great. For both appointments (1 consultation/preventive filling & 1 cleaning) I have been seated prior to my actual apt. time, everyone in the office has been very nice, and he even showed me the x-rays and actual pictures of my teeth on an iPad while he explained things so I could see exactly what he was talking about. After my cleaning apt., one of his Assistants even took the time to answer my questions about whitening products and made some recommendations. I highly recommend South Tampa Dentistry to anyone looking for a high quality Dentist & staff that you can trust.

In all the years of going to dentists trying to sell you everything and pressure you and having so may impersonal dentists I finally found one here who is so awesome. The best you will ever find. He never pushes anything on you to make money, His rates beat anyones by miles, he is the most friendly personable dentist I ever seen. E mail him personally, call him and he gets right back to you himself, Unheard of anywhere. Friendly and makes you feel its all OK. He’s confident and does excellent work. Had a bridge put in and never asked me to pay the final amount till it was finished to my liking. He backs his work completely and has a great friendly staff. Never wait at all. I must take care of the tools. If I am going to keep walking the path of epicurean gluttony, my pearly whites must be insured and in top shape. I found South Tampa Dentistry out of sheer luck. I searched for location… and a private parking lot. I called and made an appointment right away. I would scout the office and then decide if mine were to become patients as well. They all are now. Including some friends! As I come from Puerto Rico, where my experience is that you could easily read in a waiting room (assuming you brought a book) at least an hour to two hours, the welcoming empty room spoke volumes. I was immediately greeted not only by the secretary, but by every staff member that happened to walk by or see me. The waiting area is super clean, books, magazines, TV shows all there to keep you busy for the very few minutes you might wait. I have walked in and immediately am seated at the dental chair at times. No waiting. Have to love it. Once inside the cubicle, if another staff passes by, she will comment or chat and be friendly some more. Dr. Wyatt introduced himself. I ranted about how long it had been since I had an exam and a cleaning… two years! I candidly told him to prepare to find some Mayan design on my Plax, maybe a monolith… He smiled and assured me I was to be more than okay. I just made him promise not sell it on eBay. Charming man. Got my x-rays done. Technology at its best. Within minutes, my pearly whites had cat-walked, modeled and appeared on a fancy photo shoot inside a laptop program. Dr. Joshua Wyatt showed me exactly what was happening, proceeded to make his exam… and yes, he did find an incipient pestering tiny cavity. He offered to take care of it at that moment since I did not need any anesthetic. I was ecstatic! He laughed and said there was barely any Plax… I assured him it was the whiskey mouthwash I am currently patenting and experimenting on. Returned for my cleaning. Office staff as lovely as ever again. Fast. Through. Wonderful. Goodie bag in hand… a great lip balm included. I left the office looking forward to returning. How sick! Who feels like that ever about visiting a dentist? Shouldn’t it feel like pulling teeth? Instead, it is a cooling, refreshing memory with a faint smell of fluoride that lingers on.

Have you ever been to a dental office that try to rip you off by telling you your teeth has major issues when they do not? Have you ever had a dental hygienist that does a half ass job at cleaning your teeth and you left unsatisfied? What about front office staff that is rude, abrupt, and unprofessional? Oh, and how about dentist that make you feel bad about yourself for not flossing daily, having not so perfect white teeth, or you accidentally cracked the bonded tooth? I’m sure you can relate to one or two of these nightmares when seeing a dentist. Rest assure, you won’t encounter any of those headache here. I love coming to see Dr. Wyatt… my experience here have been nothing but WONDERFUL – I made sure that my husband drives all the way over from Largo to see him! If anything emergency ever happened with your teeth, they seem to be able to accommodate you at the very last minute. Just a tip, Dr. Wyatt is a PRO at teeth bonding 🙂

I had 8 teeth extracted and I was completely petrified due to some dentist trauma as a child. Dr.Wyatt was amazing, assured me he wouldn’t hurt me and if I felt any little bit of pain he’d take care of it & not doubt me or my pain & he stood by that. Aside from that everything went by so fast, he was amazing..I cried a little out of fear but Dr.Wyatt didn’t hurt me at all & his assistant was so kind to hold my hand & make me feel safe as well. Most importantly it was SO affordable especially considering how amazing everyone was & how fast everything was. Glad I took the suggestion from a friend & so very happy I went there. I have no doubt that I will heal up quickly & beautifully thanks to Dr.Wyatt. Definitely considering making this my primary dentist.

So I read reviews and was aware of the open environment in the treatment area it really wasn’t a problem I could see it on entering and exiting but once I was in the chair I couldn’t hear the people around me and so I’m going to assume they couldn’t hear me. Treatment was executed precisely and quickly and as I suffer from a lot of anxiety in a dentist chair this was important. I feel like I wasn’t overcharged or over treated The doc was personable and I felt like he knew his stuff. Felt like it was as good as it gets at the dentist!

Wow, I had to update my review and this place now gets five stars in my book! First, see below, Dr. Wyatt’s concerned and honest reply to my post! I was so busy with work that I did not see his reply, so I did not call. Dr. Wyatt himself called me to tell me that he had some cancellations last week and could work me in within a couple days! I accepted, of course. I presented to the office a few days later and was taken to the back immediately. I absolutely LOVED the hygienist who did my cleaning. We were similar in age and personality, and she and I were joking about all kinds of things. She was hysterical, and she did an amazing job with the cleaning; she was very meticulous…and all the equipment appeared super clean, and I did not get sick afterwards! Hooray! Anyway, so I’m thinking maybe the office had an “off-day” when I was in before. Dr. Wyatt and his hygienist definitely took me from three stars to five stars in a hurry. I’m so impressed that he cared enough to take time out of his undoubtedly busy schedule to make sure I was pleased with his office. That speaks volumes for Dr. Wyatt and his practice. At this point, I would highly recommend this office for your dental needs! Clearly, if something is not right, he will make it right! I like that, a lot.

I wish I could give 10 stars! I have never experienced the kind of service I receive at South Tampa Dentistry at any other business or practice in Tampa. I rate a lot of places around town and I have to say that Dr. Wyatt completely gets the “Customer Service” component of running a business. I have been here numerous times and today was my 6 month cleaning. I am so impressed with how efficient Dr. Wyatt runs his facility that he has me as a customer for life. Here are some of the reasons: a. The entire staff will stop and focus on the customer as soon as they walk in the door. They are not chatting among themselves while you stand and wait for them to acknowledge you. b. The process is completely orchestrated. I receive the same consistent service each time I visit. The initial greeting is warm and I feel like a valued customer. The wait time is right on. I never have to wait past my appointment time. The service is impeccable. I get high quality dental services at a reasonable rate (based on insurance). The staff is warm and friendly and answers all my questions with thorough explanations. I have read some of the negative reviews and I honestly think you can’t please everyone and that most people exaggerate their negative experiences. I can honestly say that Dr. Wyatt and his team are highly qualified professionals that treat the customer with respect and dignity. I am glad I found this dentist that is not too far from my home, but I would drive to another county to get this kind of service. p.s. I want to thank Stacy for my cleaning today. She makes me feel comfortable and I find getting my cleaning by her is actually relaxing.

I am petrified of dentists, which is probably why I put off fixing a broken tooth until it REALLY started to hurt. Dr. Wyatt clearly felt my apprehension and walked me through everything he was going to do to save my poor, painful tooth. He followed up with me almost daily to make sure I was ok. When the pain wouldn’t subside, he got me in to get a root canal the very next day. I have never in my life had a doctor in any field that made me feel as comfortable as Dr. Wyatt. Also, if you like a sense of humor and an office staff that loves their work as much as the doctor does, this is the place for you. I will never go to another dentist. He is hands down the best in town!

I can’t say enough good things about the staff at South Tampa Dentistry! Office staff are always super helpful. Dr. Wyatt has worked on three different teeth that needed new crowns this year for me and he is an amazing dentist. Two of the three teeth had to have root canals done prior to having a new crown placed, and Dr. Wyatt made each visit during my process seamless, quick and stress free. Their dental hygienist, Laura, does my routine cleanings now and I’m seeing a big improvement in my gum health and teeth since I started going to her for my cleanings as well. I am so pleased with my care under Dr. Wyatt and staff!

Dr Wyatt and his staff are absolutely amazing. I have never been to a better dental office. He was kind, compassionate, and very professional. He made me feel at ease and very comfortable. The dental hygienist was beautiful and very thorough in my cleaning and I’ve never seen my teeth sparkle like that before. The staff was so friendly and you can tell how much they love their jobs! I had to give Dr. Wyatt a good review because I was an hour late to my appointment that I setup in the same exact day I called him. Not only did I get to speak with his staff, but I was able to speak directly to him as well. The price for getting my wisdom tooth pulled was extremely affordable for anyone who is on a budget without insurance. Not only that but I was treated with the most respect I have ever gotten from a Dentist. I had also looked up past reviews of the same location and don’t let them fool you because he had just bought the place a few months back so this is not the same Dr. you see in other reviews around the internet. To sum it up I will never go any where else for dental work.

I had a horribly infected tooth, and Cassandra set me up with antibiotics and my appointment to get my tooth pulled. When I arrived everyone was very pleasant and everything was very clean. I was seen within 10 mins of my arrival, which was great seeing how I messed up and got there late. The nurse was super helpful in letting me know everything she was doing and what would be happening. I was terrified but the doctor was AMAZING numbed me up and pulled it out all within 30mins. Explained to me everything as far as care and sent me on my way. Great place ill be back for my future dental hygiene. Thanks everyone

Hmm… my first time there today. I am trying to find a general dentist since I moved to the area 2 years ago and haven’t gone for a teeth cleaning. My husband goes to a different dentist that’s a bit expensive so I thought I would branch out. I first tried Coast Dental a couple days ago and they run X-rays and they say I have gingivitis and will also need a crown or it could develop into needing a root canal and total out to $800 bucks. Then I try this place and they run my X-rays and say they can squeeze me in for a cleaning since my teeth are in good shape. Tell me I need to floss more to prevent him bleeding and say I definitely won’t need a crown for a long time. Fast, fast paced environment, and open cleaning “stalls” not closed rooms for cleaning. Pop music playing in the background with the doctor humming along. Employees appear to like him, which makes sense since he is honest with the treatment they need. I recommend WOOHOO!

Great dentist ( especially for those who have pain, bad problems, and even anxiety. ) He has accommodated all for me. He was highly recommended. He keeps his schedule and is fast to get patients in. My experience a few minutes ago deserved an update to the initial review… After speaking with my insurance company, I learned that Dr. Wyatt does not accept our insurance. Our insurance company then went to add that we would be responsible for paying for both visits (mine and my husband’s) out of pocket. I called Dr. Wyatt’s office right away and happened to speak with him directly. He explained the reason he stopped accepting that insurance…and then explained because we had visited at the exact time that they had canceled that insurance, our insurance company wasn’t aware of the change at the time. When I asked him how much we owed, he said that it wasn’t an issue and would charge off both visits! I have NEVER heard of a dental office or any medical office just charging off a visit. My husband, who is a physician, was blown away, just as I was, as he’s never had that experience in healthcare either. Dr. Wyatt went above and beyond what he had to do. He saved us from having to fight with the insurance company (and for those of you who haven’t had to, believe me when I tell you there is very little in life that is more painful). Any other dentist would have been sending us a letter demanding payment right away. As I said in my initial review, there was something immediately trustworthy about Dr. Wyatt, and now my experience furthers that idea. His ethics and business practices are at an exceptional level. I can’t recommend this practice enough!
