Three years ago I had an experience at a downtown dentist that was so horrible, it took 3 years to muster up the courage to see another dentist.  Thank you Dr. Cannariato for making my first visit back so pain free and also for fixing some of the shoddy work from my last visit.  Also a huge thank you for saving my main molar!!!  And a special thanks to Sandra & Nicole at the desk, you gals rock; you made the boring paperwork fun with your awesome personalities and pretty smiles!!!  I wish I could find this kind of service other places in town!!!

I had my upper fillings done by Dr. Benedict and she has magic hands. It’s a bit hard to truly see but her work on redoing my silver fillings to composite is amazing. She molded them perfectly and the best thing was the aftermath. The last time I got my fillings done here in Tampa on Dec 2016, there was some discomfort for a few days and when that dentist called me, he said it was normal. I rather have no discomfort at all after such procedure therefore having my future cavities filled (hopefully none- Eek I hate those needles) or silver redone, the best dentistry to come to is this place for sure!!!! — Like most people, I already dislike going to the dentist period and wish teeth were less maintenance to upkeep and seeing a dentist twice a year is already dreadful but going to a place that makes the experience less scary will make you not dread going to the dentist as much. Therefore, I believe going to a dentist that has sincere care is very important to me where I will feel happy going even though I dread and fear going to the dentist. I am so glad that I had a horrible experience at the other dentistry I was at in person and online or else I wouldn’t have switched to South Tampa Smiles. What I love about South Tampa Smiles is format of the practice. You have privacy and they operate on you in a closed door. When you’re waiting and they have a tv you can watch with close caption and their sink is right next to the chair like all the dentistry I’ve been to except the last dentistry I went (I learned from them that you can wash your mouth after getting it cleaned, especially if fluoride is not used- I don’t think fluoride was used on my last dental cleaning). The tv is also where they show you your X-rays and explain to you what they’ll fix and why. Dr. Cannariato saw problems in my upper silver fillings which I really want to be replaced not only for health reason (mercury-eeek) but also cosmetic reason. I’m very happy that he saw such problems others have not because it will save me pain in my mouth and pocket if I do not take care of it now. The biggest reason why I chose to switch to South Tampa Smiles because they have 200+ positive reviews and 4 negative reviews on google and they responded to those complaints professionally. That shows a lot about them. Everyone knows you can’t please everyone in business, you’ll come across dissatisfied customers- whatever the reasons- the important thing I saw is how their complaints was handled, just total professionalism and it showed they sincerely care about their patients and not only their reputation. I highly recommend South Tampa Smiles for the great service, sincerity and professionalism.

Today was my first appointment with South Tampa Smiles and am very pleased with how kind and professional everyone was. With all that was done today (X-rays, cleaning, and consultation), my appointment was completed in less than an hour. Also, I am very happy that in spite of current health events, they are still open on Saturdays. As my current work schedule makes it very difficult for weekday appointments, knowing that I can take care of my dental needs on the weekend is fantastic. I definitely would recommend South Tampa Smiles to anyone looking for quality dental care and would like the ability to be flexible in their scheduling as well.

I believe we have been patients of Dr. C for over 10 years. Recently, we visited his office for cleanings. Robin was as professional and efficient as always making my wife and I feel comfortable during this pandemic. Dr C made sure we were doing OK before we left the office. Appointment was on time, the front office took care of the schedule for next time and the employee who greeted us and set us up for Robin’s time was very professional, making us both feel at home. After moving from the area a year ago, we come about 30+ miles one way to continue doing business with Dr. C and his group. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a truly professional, efficient and compassionate Dentist!

I am new to this office and this is the best experience I have ever had with a dentist office. I have been a patient at private practices as well as big box practices and South Tampa Smiles made me feel comfortable and they truly took care of me as their patient and not just a wallet. I am happy to have them as my new dental provider! The hygienist was super sweet and talked to me like I was a friend and so did the dentist! Staff was super polite and the atmosphere is relaxing. Thank you for being awesome!! Highly recommend them!

This is hands-down the best dentist I’ve ever been to. I’ve been seeing Dr Cannariato for 6 years now and I recommend him to everyone. He’s extremely friendly and most importantly, extremely honest. Where in the past I’ve had dentists tell me I’ve needed certain procedures he’s admitted that I do not and can simply use dental hygiene products found in your local drug store to help combat the issues Im facing – in this case slight gum recession with exposed dentin. Lo and behold he was correct I no longer feel any pain. As of late he has added another dentist to his practice which has extended his office hours to be more convenient for working people. The office is small and I would say their X-ray equipment is a bit dated but for an honest dentist I’ll put up with that.

I was referred to this office via a Yelp friend. The office was easy to find and they were very accommodating to my schedule. I just needed a cleaning and check-up, so I took advantage of their “cash patient” pricing which was $95 for cleaning, exam and X-rays. My 8 yr old accompanied me so they were kind enough to keep an eye on him in the waiting room. The dental assistant was very nice and thorough. After my cleaning the Doctor came in to check her work and go over my X-rays. Total appointment lasted just over an hour and I left with some beautifully clean teeth. I would only suggest they offer you goggles or something to wear while cleaning your teeth as the water pick sprays in your face.

This was my first time to the dentist in Tampa and I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and service. I’ve always been someone who hates the dentist and this was the best and least painful dentist appointment of my life. Not to mention that it looks like I went for a teeth whiting from the polish job done by dental hygienist Cheryl. I highly recommend this office to anyone and everyone!
