Growing up I was unfortunately cursed with very weak teeth. I spent so much time in a dentist chair that I figured I’d been through the best and worst dentist. That all changed yesterday when. I went to SouthPark DOC. I’ve never been happier with a dental appointment. They were all so unbelievably nice, and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure I wasn’t feeling pain and they constantly were checking to make sure I was comfortable. I am a new patient of SouthPark DOC and new to Charlotte. I cannot express how happy I am to be a patient of Southpark Dental and Oral Care. Over the years, I have received fantastic services from Dr. Murchison and Dr. Zekan, and now with the addition of Dr. Gracie Murchison, I couldn’t be happier. The staff are helpful and friendly and welcoming, and every time I visit this practice, I am completely satisfied by the service I received. They treat me like part of the family, and who could ask for more than that? Recently, I had to get emergency treatment for my elderly mother who had just moved to Charlotte. Dr. Gracie called me on the weekend and worked my mom into her schedule the following Monday. This was such a relief for me and and my mom. They are the absolute BEST!

I have tried my fair share of dentists but South Park dental and oral care is by far the most inclusive, comfortable environment. Everyone is so nice in their, Sadie who knows all about all kind of insurance plans and will help understand (re-underatand) and prioritize what needs to be worked on, they never push for anything! all the awesome hygienist and my favorite Dr. Grace who is the sweetest and has the gentlest touch is smart, fast and efficient. So much so that my children actually look forward to their cleaning (my daughter pretend plays that she is Dr. Grace). Thank you South Park dental and oral care for all that y’all do❤️

I am new to Charlotte and in a wheelchair. I called several dental offices that said they could not accommodate me. Dr. Murchison took me in with open arms and we made it work. Her staff was extremely nice and willing to help with anything I needed. But Dr. Murchison is what sealed the deal. She was so compassionate and calming that it made for a wonderful first experience. Dr. Murchison identified two teeth that needed to have crowns due to earlier cavities and fillings. She was very careful in preparation and applied temporary crowns for the time of manufacture. At the appointment to apply the new crowns, she carefully and painlessly removed the temporary ones and put the new ones in with no pain. She and her staff have been our family dentist for over 30 years. They are amazing.

They also are very understanding about patients fear. I’m such a chicken even about cleanings. But they are very gentle so going isn’t traumatic. This was a very good experience for my 90+ mother-in-law. Situation: had a different dentist recommend an extraction, with little concern for how she would react or offering options. Searching for a practice with experience with geriatric dentistry we found Southpark DOC and had a MUCH BETTER experience that did not involve extractions and recommended upping her hygiene regimen to avoid inflammation. Over the last year, my husband and I have had the pleasure of meeting and receiving services from Dr. Lynne Murchison’s daughter, Dr. Gracie Murchison. Wow! Gracie is the real deal, and Lynne must be SO proud, not only to be Gracie’s mom, but to have this extremely talented dentist/daughter join the practice. Dr. Grace Murchison is such a delight. At each visit, she actually THANKS me for coming in, and seems genuinely happy to see me. This always relaxes me, because let’s face it, going to the dentist is not on many people’s bucket list. The care and expertise she shows to me, and the gentle way she interacts with her hygienists and assistants is truly unique and special. My family and I have been patients at this wonderful office for many years. Every staff person is unfailingly kind, professional and welcoming. I recently had a cleaning and then had a tooth filled (today) and the experience was as comfortable as one could hope for, on every level. I wanted to take a moment and review this place. I am new to the area and found my dentist. I went as we are practicing social distancing due to covid and everything went smoothly. They had me wait in my car until my apt. So then I walked straight to the room. Was greeted by the doctor, Dr Gracie who informed me for new patients she likes to do the cleaning and the exam. WOW after many years of dental cleanings this was by far the best experience. I got to learn about the doctor and her staff. Also Dr Gracie works with her mother who has been in practice for many years and local to Charlotte. I would recommend this place to anyone. By are one of the best cleanings/exams I have ever had. I have found my new dentist! Newly arrived here in Charlotte, my prior dentist in Greensboro recommended Dr Murchison in the Charlotte area- a referral that i am very grateful for. I visited Dr Murchison’s practive for the first time on Monday- everyone was on time, friendly, and prepared to take care of me right away. All paperwork, insurance forms, etc were taken care of before I arrived. Dr Murchison (Grace) attended to me personally and did an excellent job with my treatment. She is remarkably personable and kind- in addition to being an excellent service provider. The office has the newest technology, was extremely clean, and comfortable- couldnt ask for more. From the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave, everything is top notch. The staff and dentists are wonderful people! They genuinely care about you and the services they provide. I couldn’t have had a better experience at this office! The entire staff was so kind, it was a pleasure to be under their care! I was seen by the young, just getting started Dr. Murchison–she was amazing!! I had never been to their office, but called when I began experiencing tooth pain. Surprisingly, they fit me in for an appointment that afternoon! After finding the problem, they scheduled me to see an endodontist all in the same day! They handled all phone calls/scheduling, and sent over all appropriate information in a timely manner. I was shocked when I received a phone call that evening from the office just to check how I was feeling! I truly felt that they genuinely cared about my well-being, and were going to do whatever necessary to resolve the pain I was experiencing!

I would like to thank Dr. Grace Murchison for showing genuine concern for a small raised area on my neck during her examination. She ask me to mention it to my physician on my next physical. I had a physical a couple weeks later and brought up the knot on my neck. He wasn’t overly concerned but near the end of the exam he said he was scheduling a CT just for peace of mind. After the CT I got a call from his nurse saying that the knot that Dr. Grace had mentioned was determined to be a cyst but another area close by was concerning. After a biopsy the report said it was cancer, malignant and in a lymph node. Thank you Dr. Grace for your thoroughness, professionalism and concern. It may have been life changing.
