Our large family of 6 children has been coming to this office for over 15 years. We received excellent care with Dr. Pond and now are in very capable hands with Dr. Shell. The office staff is always pleasant and helpful. Dr. Shell inherited one of our children in the middle of treatment of a very difficult case and has exceeded our expectations and also the expectations of the surgeon who is involved in her case. We highly recommend this office for highly efficacious orthodontic treatment. Thank you Drs. Pond and Shell for your service to our family.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all of our experience with this office! They know us by name as soon as we walk in the door and have always been very personal. I was a patient, my oldest was a patient and now my youngest is currently a patient. I always give them as a reference for others seeking orthodontic treatment! it’s amazing the knowledge Dr Pond and now Dr Shell has.

My orthodontic journey started just over 5.5 yrs. ago and has officially ended. Dr. Shell was assigned to my case shortly before Dr. Pond retired. I have come to know Dr. Shell very well and understand that my case was extremely challenging. My situation tested all our patience. Dr. Shell and his team of professional staff have been top notch. The level of knowledge, skill and chair-side manner at this practice is especially noteworthy and I’m not sure any practice could reach this level. In the beginning, I wasn’t sure what to expect at the end of my orthodontic journey. Now, when I look in the mirror, I see a confident smile that I hid for many years. I no longer have physical symptoms from years of uneven wearing, bite issues and many other issues that I ignored for years. This team of professionals deserve the highest recommendation and while I won’t miss the journey itself, I will miss some of these folks that I now consider friends. Dr. Shell’s team has been completely wonderful – from the front desk, the office staff, dental hygienists and Dr Shell himself. The customer service has been leaps and bounds beyond any other business I have experienced. This sets them apart from the other orthodontists I consulted with before deciding to go with them. The care of my child and thinking about what’s best overall has been their focus from the very beginning and throughout the entire process. They have been very accommodating and flexible with visits and any issues my child had with Invisalign. Whenever I have contacted them, I get a response from the office the same day, oftentimes within an hour or two. They have taken many precautions with respect to COVID to ensure our safety as patients and their safety as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Shell and his office for orthodontia as the entire experience and result of the Invisalign have been outstanding.

This us and amazing place ! They are very friendly and they get you in and out with no problems. I have been with these guys since I got my braces on back in middle school ! And I’m a senior this year and got my braces off and they have been nice and friendly throughout the whole process my smile is also amazing like I love my smile and it is amazing how pretty my teeth came out I would recommend this place for braces to every one that is trying to get braces thank you guys !

My ten year old just finished “phase 1” and had her braces removed this week. She has had a great experience with Dr. Shell and all of the staff at Southside Ortho. They are all so patient with her, explaining things in terms she can understand. The assistant seemed just as excited as my daughter when telling her all the “forbidden” things that she’s allowed to have during the week between getting braces off and having something else put in! And I so appreciate the staff up font! They are so sweet and helpful! We are all very pleased with the way things are going in my daughter’s case!

I am getting braces next month. Sue and Dr. Shell took so much time looking, studying, and taking expressions of my teeth. They explained the process of getting braces thoroughly. When I get my braces next month, I know that my braces were designed for me and my teeth. They invested in me using expensive machines and molds not even knowing if I would be a patient receiving services. They care genuinely and I know they do.

I want to share my experience with Southside orthodontics ! They have been AMAZING, they work as such a great team, everyone is all so friendly and work hard, and give lots of care to their patients! I got my braces off today and throughout these 2 years they’ve made me take a big interest in possibly becoming an orthodontist assistant! I’m so thankful to have gone through Southside orthodontics!

I highly recommend Dr. Shell and Southside Orthodontics !!! I was able to get an appointment very quickly and after only a few minutes the problem was detected and fixed! OMG ! I can actually bite and my back teeth touch for the first time in a very long time !!! I cant begin to tell you how over-joyed I was at being able to eat again the right way ! Dr. Shell is so personable and professional and the staff is friendly and well-trained. I appreciate his expertise and willingness to do what was needed. Thank you so much for helping me ! It has made all the difference in the world !
