I’ve been a patient of Dr. Spilman’s for over 20 years. He and his staff are always welcoming, accommodating and make you feel at ease. They treat you like family and make you feel comfortable with whatever procedure you need to undergo while you’re there. As someone who feared going to the dentist as a child, this is incredibly important to me. I’d highly recommend Dr. Spilman if you’re looking for someone friendly, honest, and competent in what they’re doing. His office is a rare gem in St. Petersburg and even though I’ve relocated I make the drive from Lakeland to still be taken care of by him and his wonderful staff.

Spilman Dentistry is the best! Dr. Jeffery and the entire staff are all super friendly, professional, kind, and efficient. I went there to have a chipped tooth repaired and Dr. Jeffery did such a good job, it doesn’t even look like it was chipped in the first place and I feel confident again with my new smile! The building is super clean and has a homey environment. I would definitely recommend Spilman Dentistry for anyone’s dental needs!

Best practice in St. Pete! Took us 5 years to find him and so glad we did! Thank you for being the perfect Dental practice we were looking for. We have spent the last 5 years looking for the right one. Your staff is amazing (even on a Saturday) and Alex took great care in taking x-rays and cleaning my teeth. She was so positive and upbeat and made sure I was comfortable with everything she was doing. Oh, and Dr. Spilman was great in finishing the appointment with his assessments and recommendations. ADORE Dr. Spilman, et. al. Up north, it is easy to find a dentist who works on Saturdays and late afternoons throughout the week. In Florida, not so easy. So the first week I was in St. Pete, I noticed his sign out front and the fact that he had the above hours and I have been going to him ever since. I really liked the secretary he had when I first started with him… she left and he hired another. I personally did not think he would have success hiring not one but TWO great office people but he managed it. I walk in.. I don’t have to sign in but I would if I had to and I’m greeted within minutes. I call and I’m not just a name. I get in and out…. none of this waiting around to be seen making you think that maybe somebody is double booking. And how many dentists would not hesitate to submit a design for a crown? He has a nice squirrel feeder too.

I’ve been to this office several times for different procedures. Each and every time the doctor and staff have been timely, pleasant, caring, accommodating and thorough. Today Alex cleaned my teeth. Dr. Spliman may be the kindest, most gentle dentist I have ever experienced. It has been very challenging to find a dentist who can “block” me — get me numb. He did it with a gentle, expert hand. He will listen to your concerns, share his expertise and determine the best course of action for your needs. The staff is also kind, they take the extra time you may need and they get to know their patients. I highly recommend Dr. Spliman! Best dental care I have ever received.

I had a toothache and needed immediate relief. I called the office and I got an appointment within a few hours. I met with Dr Spilman and immediately put at ease. He and his staff were extremely nice and accommodating. I was pleased to have been given choices on how to remedy my condition along with the prices. The work was completed painlessly. The price was competitive and I would highly recommend this dentist. He’ll be doing all my dental work from now on but I really hope I don’t ever have to see him again. Lol

I always feel like I’m in good hands. Nice views of trees and birds, and nice music too. A previous local dentist had recommended pulling two teeth. I sent X-rays to a former dentist in OHio whom I trusted and also showed those XRays to Dr. Spilman. These two doctors confirmed there was no reason to pull those teeth. It’s years later now and I’ve had no problems with those teeth. I’m glad I sought second opinions and never went back to that other dentist.

We think highly of Dr. S and his staff for the quality of dental services provided that have ranged from routine care to filling cavities and replacing fillings. I went to Creating Smiles Dental and I was told that my treatment plan was going to cost more than $20.000, including 9 root canals that I didn’t need and fillings in all my teeth, seriously. I knew they were trying to rip me off (crooks!) so I decided to escape those scam artists and find another dentist, I am glad I did! Dr Spilman told me that I just needed a cleaning and 3 fillings. He is probably the only honest dentist in Florida, caring, good person and won’t force unnecessary treatments, price is very fair too, even if you don’t have insurance. Highly recommended!

Dr. Spilman, as well as every single team member I’ve encountered throughout my visits, has (literally) been absolutely incredible. Kind, respectful, professional, and all very skilled and knowledgeable within their fields. Not to sound cliche, but if I could give them even more than 5-stars on this review I would. The Spilman Office: Office team and receptionist- Always super polite, kind, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. Dental Hygienist- Sweet, kind, experienced, and clearly explains the procedures and steps. Dr. Spilman- Best dentist I’ve ever had, by far. Super smart, skilled, professional, down to earth, doesn’t mind answering questions and taking time to talk through treatment procedures, expectations, etc. Few people enjoy going to the dentist… but it’s a necessity, so at least lighten the burden by picking an awesome Dentist.

I have been visiting Dr Spilman for over fifteen years. He has never ever hurt me. That was a priority for me. He is kind and explains everything and shows you pictures to help you understand what’s happening in your mouth. He is patient with everyone but, even more so with my Mom. She is eighty-nine. Dr Spilman keeps up with new dental procedures. He recently updated the equipment on his office. Plus soon his son Clayton will be joining his practice. All the work Dr Spilman has done in my mouth was terrific. I am so thankful he is in St Petersburg. My husband and my daughter also visit Dr Spilman. And my daughter who lives in Maryland waits until she visits to have Alex clean her teeth. Nice office great people.

So I had a dental emergency this week, on the recommendation of my aunt, I called dr spilman, they got me in right away( within 24 hours). I was so happy! As I was signing in for my spot, the doc, was like are you Jennifer, yes , yes I am, before I could finish writing my name upon checkin, he had me back in a chair. Checked my mouth, had an infection from my tooth, we talked about dental history and what I would like to achieve, and plans were set in motion. Got a script for antibiotics and set next appt to remove 2 teeth. They were fast friendly and caring. Not pushy and understanding about my financial situation. ( no insurance, lots of work needed) . Just let’s get your mouth healthy and then we’ll make it look good. I highly recommend this dentist.

5 Stars is not enough for this office. My family has been seeing Dr. Spilman for 8+ years. He is the definition of “Family Dentist”. My now teen daughter was terrified of the Dentist and Hygienist. He and his staff [Ms. Alex] have worked their magic and it doesn’t take much to get her to the dentist anymore. They are always kind, compassionate and easy to work with. They work to be flexible with dental emergencies…which is how I found Doc to begin with. I was 6 months pregnant with a broken tooth and my regular dentist at that time could not see me for 3 days. Doc fit me in that afternoon. I never looked back. My daughter was born and has come with me to almost every visit since then (I didn’t want her to have the same fear as her sister). They are AMAZING! Our family highly recommends Spilman Dentistry.

This is a top notch dental office in every measurable way. More specifically, Nicole at the front desk is efficient, positive and excellent at communication…I will go so far as to say she is the best front desk person I have ever encountered at a health care office of any kind. She was critical in my choosing this office for my dental needs (the person who was doing the front desk job previously simply blew me off, never replied, and did not seem remotely interested in new patients). The whole office just has a “good vibe”…everyone seems to love their jobs. My hygienist was amazing and patient as well. Pricing here is very competitive and very much on target (or below) industry averages…I recommend Dr Spliman’s office with all of my heart. Dentist visits are not fun, but this place gives me a reason to look forward to them!

I got out of there with a completely painless, thouroughly professional treatment for only $70 when it could have cost me up to $1200. Still no problems a year and a half later. Staff is great! Very happy with Dr. Spilman! He is a conservative, honest, and talented dentist. I went somewhere else for an “introductory exam and x-rays” and was told I needed over $2000 worth of dental work. Skeptical that I was being baited and switched, I went to Dr. Spilman because he treats my son, and he told me that all I needed were a couple of cavities filled and a good cleaning, at 75% less than what the other dentist quoted. Be wary of those introductory “specials” and stick with a dentist like Dr. Spilman who is professional, efficient, kind, and best of all, very good at his job.

I assumed the worst about my tooth but he was easily able to fix it up. He looked over my teeth and gave me some very sensible advice on a long term plan, saving me a lot of money.
