Everyone on staff is friendly and helpful.  The hygienist are thorough and kind.  Dr. Shafik is a very talented dentist and makes you feel calm and well cared for.  The front desk staff reminds you of appointments and gives you clear information about cost. My whole family goes to this practice and we are so happy to have found this great group of people.

Nobody likes going to the dentist, but this team makes the experience as pleasant as can be. My cleaning was through and painless, the hygienist was lovely, and Dr. Shafik made me feel very comfortable. I appreciated that she was complimentary of my teeth. I had two fillings done and they were able to get me in the same week. I was very apprehensive because they were my first fillings, but Dr. Shafik and her hygienists made me feel totally at ease, it was painless and quick. The one thing I think could improve is that I had a hard time hearing the desk attendant that checked me out, probably because of a combination of masks and plexiglass. It might be helpful to speak a bit more loudly for the time being. Overall I highly recommend this dentist (and have recommended them to two friends already!)

My daughter was terribly afraid of going to the dentist. Dr Shefik spends extra time making her feel comfortable. I have to say my kids love her . My daughter even started taking care of her teeth just so the Dr can compliment her on her teeth. I can’t say how much she has helped our family. We always feel taken care of at her office. Our whole family goes to her office now. We are blessed to have found this office. I can’t thank them enough for the care they give us.

Great work from great people! Staff is always friendly and helpful, and they have worked magic on my teeth. Assistants are very knowledgeable and attending to needs, while Dr. Shafik is quick, precise, and light-handed. I also have had a back surgery recently and they always remember how I like my chair and make sure I’m comfortable. Keith, the office manager, is a great help with any insurance or billing questions on your way out as well! If you are looking for a great dentist, look no further!

Dr. Shafik is beyond amazing! She’s made me not scared of going to the dentist and I love her entire staff! They are very friendly and make you feel right at home. I’ve had countless fillings and a root canal done and everything she’s done has been impeccable, always very attentive and patient with me. Even when I did not have dental coverage and needed an emergency root canal, they were nice enough to work with me on payment. I highly recommend!

This is a wonderful dental office and I can’t thank the staff enough for the experiences I have had with them. I found St. Mary’s when I first moved to Raleigh and needed a new dentist. They were able to get me in very quickly and I was impressed with how warm and welcoming the staff was. The office is beautiful and calming, they play soothing music and everyone there goes out of their way to make you feel relaxed. I should note that I am a very nervous dental patient. If you are as well, this is the office for you! Dr. Shafik and her staff do an excellent job taking time to explain procedures and make patients feel at ease. They are efficient and do excellent work, and have gotten me through multiple procedures which would have been much more difficult for me with any of my previous dentists. One visit is enough to know that the whole staff are very well-educated and can give helpful recommendations regarding improving dental health. They have high-tech equipment which helps with better diagnosis of dental problems and they can show you clearly what is going on in your mouth on big flat-screen TVs in each treatment area. I would recommend them to anyone!

We travel from Danville, Va because of this wonderful FAMILY Dentistry. We have never experienced any medical facility like Dr. Shafik’s. The staff and everyone there makes us feel as family. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. The entire facility is very clean. The staff in very knowledgeable with all questions and concern. (Insurance, Procedures etc.) We had major issues with my wife’s teeth (many botched procedures from a former dentist) and Dr. Shafik has worked wonders. We are greatly pleased with her work and this whole experience. The travel distance and the 1 hr 20 min. drive is well worth it. There are two things in life I have feared. Those are flying in an airplane and going to the dentist. Coincidentally, I first met Dr. Shafik on a flight from Raleigh to Los Angeles. After a bit of small talk, she mentioned to me that she was a dentist, talked about her experiences, and handed me a business card. Unbeknownst to me, that moment would forever change my fear of going to the dentist. I have been a patient of Dr. Shafik for approximately two and a half years now. She and her staff are like family. While I used to dread visiting the dentist since childhood, I now see it as a spa experience that I actually enjoy. Most people think I am crazy when I say that. I think those people just haven’t found the right dentist. I recommend Dr. Shafik to everyone I know, and I can honestly say that if I ever moved away, I would fly back and continue to be her patient. 5 stars

Everyone at St. Mary’s Family dentistry is absolutely wonderful! Every single person I’ve worked with there has been friendly, professional and great at their jobs. Dr. Shafik is hands down the best dentist I’ve had, she works incredibly hard and actually cares about her patients. When I lost a bridge Dr. Shafik outlined all my options and talked me through them, she even got me price estimates on all the options I was considering. When I decided on a dental implant she referred me to a great oral surgeon and even helped me schedule my appointment. If you are looking for a GREAT Raleigh dentist, I recommend checking St. Mary’s Family Dentistry out.

Love this dentist practice. The staff is friendly, courteous, and professional. They always call to confirm your appointments. Dr. Shafik is a great dentist, it’s true she is great at what she does and she is very kind. I love the way they have decorated the place, it’s very inviting. And it’s so nice that they have Saturday hours. When I first began coming to St. Mary’s Family Dentistry, I lived right down the street. Due to a job change I’ve moved to Greensboro, NC, but it’s so nice I continue to come back.
