I have been a patient here for over 6 years. In the past I’ve had traumatic experiences with dentists. Here, there is a high level of professionalism and I feel confident that I am in honest and skilled hands. Dr. Chou is kind and straight forward. He’s honest. He gives me choices and explains everything. Tammi is the best hygienist I’ve ever been to. She takes a lot of pride in her work and her education. Myrna at the front desk is wonderful. It’s not easy to find a really good dentist you can trust, but this office is all that! I originally tried them based on their positive reviews and the reviews are true!

With his modern facilities, new technology and a super friendly staff, Dr. Chou gets my highest rating. Attention to detail is what you want in dentistry. Also, getting my teeth cleaned by Gina has been a pleasure since she uses a sonic cleaner that eliminates the old-school scrape-ouch-scrape-scrape-ouch process. Dr. Chou far exceeded my previous dentist in reducing my dental pain through several procedures. When I first visited his office, he did a complete, detailed workup in order to not miss anything. His front office staff is smart and friendly too. I recommend his office to friends all of the time!

I am impressed! First of all, the staff is awesome. Every interaction including scheduling, explaining benefits and reception is friendly and professional. The dental hygienist was the best I’ve encountered, you can tell she loves what she does. Dr. Chou is thorough, yet efficient. This was the best dental experience I’ve ever had.
(…)I went to my appointment expecting to get a root canal.
Dr. Chou numbed me up (with no problem! I have a VERY high tolerance for Novocain, it usually takes at least 3 shots to even start me getting numb!) put the crown back in and discovered that it was way too high. He ground it down with so much attention to detail and precision. He’s a perfectionist.. Which is exactly what you want in a dentist.
Long story short, he got my crown down to the right height and told me to wait a month and see if I felt better.
This was only yesterday and already my tooth feels SO much better!
I am so grateful for Dr. Chou’s conservative approach. I think a lot of other dentists would have looked at my situation and jumped right into the root canal.
Even if I do wind up needing a root canal on this tooth, I feel confident that Dr. Chou is the man for the job – and am so grateful to have found him!

Best dentist that I’ve had! He was highly recommended by a friend to do my bridge removal and crown so I went to get the procedure done. This was the very first time that I did NOT feel pain when I got the numbing shot! What a wonder right? Dr. Chou was very careful and gentle and went slow enough where I felt pressure but no pain. The whole procedure went smoothly and better than I had expected. Overall, he’s a great dentist and really cares about the patient’s experience (and making it as painless as possible). He answered all my questions and walked me through the procedure and kept me posted at times during the procedure so I wasn’t wondering what was happening to my tooth. His front staff and assistants are as good as he is since they’re knowledgeable, friendly and caring. I would definitely go back to him for any other dental procedure(…).

The gentlest, most precise dentist in the area! With Dr. Chou, I’ve never once felt any discomfort or pain (I’ve never even felt the shots!) – he makes it a priority that you are comfortable. He is also very patient in listening to your questions and won’t just rush off to the next patient. Dr. Chou is now ‘out of network’ with my new insurance, but I still go to him! I’d much rather pay a few extra bucks than go to anyone else. The whole staff is excellent and kind. Very clean and bright office. I recommend him to everyone who asks for dentist recommendations.

Dr. Chou is very thorough yet gentle and makes you feel very comfortable. He was the first dentist that carefully examined my jaw, bite, and my alignment and explained why I might be experiencing pain. Although I have been to Dr Chou’s office only once and must finish my first visit by going back to have a set of x-rays taken, I can tell you I was very pleased with that first visit. I love Dr. Chou and his staff. They are always so friendly and professional. I went to Dr. Chou for teeth whitening in college and he fixed something that was bothering me for years! I’ve had bad dental experiences in the past, and was so thankful to finally have a dentist who knew what he was doing. That was over 10 years ago and I’m still going to Dr. Chou. I refer everyone to him. My mom moved across the country and still flew to California to have work done by him. Your teeth are important, so having a great dentist is very important. I appreciate that Dr. Chou isn’t quick to say something is wrong and needs to be fixed. Instead, he’ll share his observations and then say we’ll monitor it. He really cares about the health of your mouth, and doesn’t just make up stuff to make money. He is truly the best dentist!

Dr. Chou and his staff are wonderful people, they tell you exactly what’s going on with your mouth and what to do to fix it. They are honest and straight forward! After 3 years of trying to guess which dentist was right for me, I think I found the one for me and my family! His staff got me in for my cleaning after a couple of days of being there to have a tooth looked at, within a half hour, I was finished! Don’t trust any other dentist besides Dr. Chou! Dr. Chou and his staff made me feel very comfortable. I hadn’t been to the dentist (for a long time). I have a serious fear of going to the dentist in general. He was very gentle and patient with me. Years ago, I had multiple cavities and was dreading my first numbing shot. As I was waiting for the moment, I could hear him working and prepping my teeth. Or so I thought. Before I could figure out what he was going to do next, he told me he was done. Wait a minute…where was the shot? What happened to all the drilling? He apparently completed ALL five fillings before I knew what hit me. I was completely sold that day. Today I had three fillings, and once again, no need for the shot. He’s that good. And quick. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Dr. Stephen Chou takes great satisfaction in helping you maintain optimal oral health and is devoted to comprehensive and preventive patient care. Our services include teeth whitening, implants, bonding/filling, bridges, crowns, dentures, veneers, root canals, and .periodontal health. Dr. Stephen Chou attended the University of Southern California and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1998. Through the years, he has continued to enhance his skills through advanced dental programs at the Pankey Institute and the Spear Institute that have allowed him to perform complex full mouth reconstructions. He also became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry in 2004 and became a Master of the Academy General Dentistry in 2010. Dr. Chou and his wife,Lena, have 4 children, Matthew, Megan, Madison and Mia. They reside in Fullerton and are involved in their community and their church, First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton. Dr. Chou enjoys playing volleyball and tennis, playing guitar, working with computers, and organizing things around the house
