We live in California and came to Dr. Strupp and Dr. Brumm in Florida on the recommendation of our brother-in-law, a dentist in New Jersey. Both my wife and I who are in our 60’s wanted to have better looking (and functioning) teeth. My wife’s 4 front teeth had heavy bonding for the last 40 years. Her bite was off from braces acquired 40 years ago; tooth color had also changed. My teeth were functional, but all different colors and sizes and pointing in different directions. We did not know where to go. We had consultations with several well known cosmetic dentists in California and NYC. What was recommended varied widely from braces to veneers to do nothing at all. We checked out the Strupp/Brumm website and the photo gallery was exactly what we were looking for: a beautiful and natural look. So we scheduled consultations for both of us. The Strupp/Brumm consultations were fairly extensive, lasting several hours. It was clear to Dr. Brumm that both of us would benefit from full dental reconstructions. My wife was skeptical. But I jumped in and made the appointments for myself. After the first treatment, my wife joined me. Dina was our coordinator and she did a fabulous job including scheduling, answering our many questions, and dental assisting. She is very professional with great personality. It was a joy to have her working on our case. Drs. Strupp and Brumm are not just great dentists, they are also very personable. The staff are professional and nice, making the long hours of dental work very pleasant. The beautiful spacious office and nearby Clearwater Beach are also pluses. Because of our extensive dental work we were very anxious but the staff and the Drs. make the visits very comfortable. They even served us lunch in the office! Last but not least we would like to mention Jim Free, the in-house ceramist at the office. He is an artist. He crafted our teeth in the in-house lab. He listened to us and worked with us throughout the whole process. At the last fitting, he made alterations on the spot to accommodate our final requests. According to Dr. Strupp, Jim was ranked 2nd in the International Championship Competition of ceramist technicians. To us he is #1. The final product was sets of teeth we could only dream of. The 1st photo is my wife’s “before”. The second photo is also before, enlargement of the 4 front teeth. 3rd is the final result. 4th and 5th are me, before and after. Final photo is wife’s temporary uppers. Even the temporaries looked good and felt comfortable!

My wife has been going here for years. Despite the high price tag, the work is excellent so it’s worth having her fly back whenever she needs something done rather than trying to find someone new. Some work like fillings are medically necessary and the work holds up years longer than other places. Some work like veneers are more for cosmetics and not medically indicated but are beautiful. Dr. Strupp is an artist in that regard.

I started going to Strupp 5 years ago. When i look at the before pictures, I cant believe i waited so long. He builds beautiful teeth and now i smile a lot more. Bill has done alot of work for the NY Yankees and its not uncommon to see Steinbrenners family in the office. Everyone is nice and friendly. The only negative is that they bill you up front and submit the paper work to your insurance to get reimbursed but i think thats normal these days.

Having been “raised by wolves” (as I told Dr. Strupp!) this was absolutely the most thorough exam ever…totally comprehensive & best of all, with an overview & detailed plan for the future. Finally, an assurance that if we take the appropriate steps now I’ll be able to keep all my teeth, in spite of my poor dental care early in life. Care began immediately with Alicia, an intense (but good) procedure I’d never had, & I then I was scheduled for another exam & possible procedure later this week! To say I was ecstatic is an understatement. Dr. Strupp really knows his stuff & I finally have confidence I’ve never had in any experiences with dentists in the past. Best practice, best care, ever! Second visit this week to get a good cleaning with Penny: fantastic & very thorough job on the cleaning, she’s top drawer, & no wonder, about to retire at almost 40 years doing this! I am a periodontist practicing for 40 years, 35 of which I have worked closely with this office. The health of the tissue and bone surrounding teeth and implants is totally dependent on the quality of the restorative work and there is no one who comes close to Dr. Strupp and Brumm. Most of the crowns and restorations that I have seen with them are still in place 35 years later. I recently had the pleasure of being a patient myself (as many other dentists from the United States are in their practice) and all I can say is “WOW!” The final result is absolutely beautiful looking teeth with perfect management of the tissue and an occlusion (bite) that is spot on. Alicia stayed with me throughout the entire process and was helped by several of the other team members. Dr. Strupp and Dr. Brumm work in tandem with their respective roles as well as acting as a second set of eyes for each others work. Jim and Ray did an amazing job with the final restorations and Jim, Dr. Strupp, Dr. Brumm and Alicia cross checked each other to assure that the result was perfect. I can honestly say that I never felt any pain throughout the process including totally painless injections. in my experiences with more than two dozen dentists in the Tampa Bay area and elsewhere until I met Dr.William Strupp, I discovered you cannot trust the expertise, practices, procedures, materials or intentions of most dentists. To me, the dental profession and dental schools have let us all down. Here’s what I mean… In my 20’s, dentists started telling me I had decay. They installed fillings. Months later, I experienced discomfort from those teeth, and the surrounding gums. I went back to the dentist(s) who did the work; they tried to sell me on crowns, root canals or even extractions!. Naively, I followed their advice in many cases. Several teeth were ground down and crowns were placed on them. But the discomfort continued or even got worse. My gums deteriorated. These dentists never offered any warranty or compensation for the fact that their interventions were not fixing problems. They just suggested that I pay them for more and more work. After spending thousands of dollars, enduring lots of pain, and being treated disrespectfully by several dental offices, I investigated the dental profession by calling state dentistry boards, forensic dentists, and others. What I discovered truly shocked me…most dentists are using practices, materials and procedures that create more problems than they fix. Not only that, many dentists are counseled by dental marketing advisors who encourage them to do expensive and unnecessary procedures that are designed to increase the dentist’s profits rather than fix dental problems. Some dentists were downright dishonest and rude. Dental malpractice is the rule, rather than the exception. That’s the stark truth of it. One of my business colleagues who knew I was having trouble finding a great dentist told me that the team dentist for the New York Yankees had an office in Clearwater. Indeed, when I first entered Dr. Strupp’s office and saw autographed photos of him with World Series-winning baseball players, George Steinbrenner and other luminaries, I was of course impressed. But what really impressed me was what happened during the first exam Dr. Strupp did on me. He gave me a comprehensive list of all the teeth I had been having problems with, and explained in detail what had happened and why the problems were getting worse. In every case, previous dentists had injured, improperly prepped or otherwise harmed my underlying teeth. And then, to add insult and injury, those incompetent dentists had installed crowns and/or fillings made from inferior materials. These fillings and crowns were improperly made, poorly-fitted, and had been hammered onto the teeth and gums so they were causing severe injury! Not only that, the fillings and crowns had been placed so loosely that they were “leaking” to allow bacteria to get in underneath and create hidden decay. i didn’t have to take Dr. Strupp’s word for it. He and his colleagues showed me via digital x-rays and photos just how decayed and mangled my poor mouth and gums were. My teeth were rotting away under the pathetic crowns and fillings put on by the previous dentists! I started the repair program with Dr. Strupp and his team two years ago and only one quadrant of my mouth is still left to be fixed. Dr. Strupp is the ultimate perfectionist and doesn’t rest until your teeth are stronger than even Nature could have made them. I have chosen gold restorations, and they are so beautiful that you could almost view them as jewelry. Now that my mouth is 75% restored, my health has improved tremendously. Dental problems affect your overall health, and until Dr. Strupp started fixing these problems, I had constant pain. Now my teeth and gums feel great, and I know that Strupp’s work will keep my mouth healthy the rest of my life. Even if you believe your current dentist is great, I urge you to have Dr. Strupp examine your teeth right away. If only he had been my dentist all these years, I would have avoided a lot of pain and expense.

I went today for my cosmetic consult. I was amazed at how the staff went out of their way to make me comfortable and really listen to my needs. GiGi took the best care of me, answered all my questions and was just a really nice person. I can tell they want the best for all patients. I was also very impressed with Doctors Strupp and Brumm. They are very experienced and the exam was thorough with a detailed discussion of my case. They care about proper function in addition to cosmetics. The process they explained seems very unique as they have their own lab on premise with a highly skilled lab tech and both doctors work on each case together. Absolutely outstanding dentistry by the foremost cosmetic and restorative dentists in America, bar none. I broke a tooth at the gum line and they took me in right away and set me up with the best implant periodontist (Dr. R. Rasmussen) in the area. All technicians and assistants are expert professionals and very friendly. Dr. Strupp is the founding father of the AACD (American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry). Both Dr. Strupp and Dr. Brumm are accredited fellows. This office has been the team cosmetic dentist for the New York Yankees since 1995!
