I found the entire experience beyond pleasant. I don’t typically enjoy going to the dentist because of having anxiety and for the first time in a long time I didn’t feel any anxiety in fact I felt very comfortable and taken care of the whole time. Parking was easy (there is a lot) and from the moment I walked in the door (temp check was done and quick Covid screening) I felt at ease. The environment was beautiful, clean, brand new and all of the staff was very friendly and attentive. You could tell they really enjoyed their job and helping people. The hygienist Tracy was amazing so nice and calming and easy to talk to (amazing at getting rid of tarter build up during my cleaning). Kim the office manager was very friendly and helpful in explaining my insurance benefits and treatment plan (emailed me that night with full detail of insurance and cost of treatment). Dr. Walker was so personable, friendly and easy to talk with. I could tell she really cared about me and my needs. I would HIGHLY recommend everyone go to this dentist. They are beyond AMAZING!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Walker! I first went to her a few years ago for a second opinion after a local dentist was eager to get me in for fillings. I found this very unusual, as up to that point, I’d had very little dental work done. Sue Walker gave it another look and advised we monitor it. Turns out it was just staining! I just had my first cleaning at this office and am so pleased. I have a lot of anxiety about doctors and especially dentists, and I was put right at ease during this visit. The staff are all very friendly and kind. I expressed my anxieties and concerns to them and was told they have lots of patients who feel the same, they understood and did everything they could to help me feel at ease. Dr. Walker did my cleaning and was thorough but gentle, she told me how my teeth were looking the whole time and communicated any issues clearly, which I really appreciate. I will be getting a filling, and she even prescribed a drug to help ease my anxiety the day of the filling, which has never been offered to me by any past doctors (I find fillings incredibly stressful and always have). I am very happy to have found this doctor and will definitely be coming here for the foreseeable future.

A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR

Dr. Sue Walker is originally from the small town of Preston, Idaho. She received her undergraduate training at Utah State University and Idaho State University. After moving to Portland, she completed her dental training at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene in 1990 and her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 1995. Dr. Walker took over the Milwaukie dental practice of Dr. Orville Boyle when he retired in 1996. Aside from her private practice, Dr. Walker has also taught at Portland Community College as a supervising dentist and has been involved as an associate professor and student mentor at OHSU. Dr.Walker is actively involved in many study clubs that provide the opportunity for continued training. These include the Portland Dental Research Group, Northwest Oral Surgeons Advanced Implant Study Club and PROH. Dr. Walker is a member in good standing of the American Dental Association® and the Academy of General Dentistry. Away from the office, Dr. Walker enjoys spending time with her husband, Wally, and their three children. They spend many hours transporting children to and from school and church activities. When not in the car, Dr. Walker enjoys cooking, gardening and reading a good book.
