The staff is amazing! Everyone is very professional and courteous, the office is always cleaned. I appreciate the late hours and my hygienist Myriam is very thoughtful, she explains everything she’s going to be doing. My experience has changed my thoughts about dental care. This was my 2nd dental visit and once again, I was impressed. The receptionist, Dominic, was friendly and greated me as soon as I entered. I was seen on time and Dr. Rhodes answered all my questions. Top recommendation for Dr. Rhodes and her team. Excellent first visit from beginning to end. My comfort was the immediate and total goal through the entire time there – and I had quite a bit of work that was needed. Dr. Rhodes spent extensive time understanding my history and explaining options, and the investment in the technology available at Summerwood Smiles is exceptional. Crowns performed in house, same visit. Fit outstanding. Insurance capabilities are lengthy. Recommend this practice immediately for anyone with significant fear of going to the dentist. Dental visits for overall wellness are as important as physicals – and this practice is outstanding. Per the previous post, Cindy is terrific and can set you up with the appointment needed immediately. Jessica is swift, kind and gentle. Dr. Rhodes; caring, intelligent, thorough and extremely gentle as well. Terrific practice for West Lake Houston!

I highly recommend Summerwood Smiles Dentistry!! The entire staff is awesome! Dr Rhodes is hands down the most compassionate Dentist I have ever used…her bedside manner is truly personable and caring…I feel as though I am her only patient and that her concern is for me as a ‘whole person’ rather than just another set of teeth. I visited Summerwood Smiles after seeing the same dentist for years. My last dentist within the same area was just not willing to work with me with payments. There were some things I needed work on and I thought I would give them a try. I will say, the way they work is slightly different than what I was use to, but I will say it was in a good way. Every person I spoke encountered was very professional and KNOWLEDGEABLE. They do there best to help working parents to get the necessary appointments needed. It has been roughly 2 months since my root canal was done, and I must say I have had much relief in that area and NO ISSUES! I will certainly be returning for my annual check-ups. First, let me start by saying I am super picky about my teeth. That said, I started the search for “my dentist” in 2014 after I no longer had to shell out 100s of dollars for my children’s teeth. I finally happened upon Summerwood Smiles in early 2016 and have been in dental bliss ever since. This is the best dental office I have come across since I lived in Atlanta! I have come to realize that really good dental offices and dental practitioners are very hard to come by in the Houston area, so I am keeping this one. I have even had a few of my coworkers try this office and they have switched from their old dentists as well.

Seriously can not thank them enough!! I used to be terrified of dentist and I had major work needing done and while with my health issues one of their oral surgeons ended up not comfortable doing it as planned and Antonio did everything to make it right and I ended being sent to a diff oral surgeon to have teeth remove d and dentures placed the same day which was less than 24 hrs later and I am honestly in very little pain the dentinst dr Kim is sweet great bedside manners but honest and is very easy working on you as well!! I will refer everyone I know here!!!

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The waiting area is nice and inviting. I never felt rushed. The x-rays took a lot longer than at other places but they did more of them and they were digital. Overall it was a good experience and I will be going to them regularly. Only downside is there is a lot of waiting in-between. The initial exam, x-rays and cleaning took 2 hours.

I am new to the area and found Summerwood Smiles through my insurance company. Like most people, I am not a fan of having my teeth worked on but it is a necessary evil. My first appointment with Summerwood Smiles was for a cleaning and general assessment. I found the office staff to be very pleasant, professional, and they explained what to expect. The dental hygienist was wonderful. She consistently told me what she was doing and what to expect. A bonus, she did NOT ask me questions during the cleaning! Dr. Rhodes was great. Very laid back and friendly as well as professional. I explained to her what I wanted for my teeth and smile repairs. She came up with a very easy to understand five step plan. I returned for my next appointment and received the same great service from the team. I like that this office as it has a sort of “one stop shop” i.e. dentist, orthodontics, oral surgeon and periodontist. I give Summerwood Smiles my highest recommendation.

But I must say, Summerwood Smiles is the first dental office that I felt extremely comfortable throughout the visit. For my first visit, I thought I was going in to see Dr. Barnes, but I didn’t realize that I had actually made an appointment with Dr. Rhodes! It may have been a blessing in disguise (Dr. Barnes may be a great dentist too… I just didn’t see him.) because Dr. Rhodes was exceptional at making me feel comfortable in the office. We met in a comfortable setting and discussed my concerns and problem areas. My biggest concern was my overall anxiety about being at the dentist; She was sure to communicate this with her whole staff. I left after have x-rays, cleaning, whitening (in office), and fluoride knowing that I had just visited an office full of competent and caring individuals.

The service at Summerwood Smiles Dentistry has vastly improved with my most recent visits. They have been professional and provided great service. From the start, Fernando assisted me and made me feel welcomed. Very friendly. The dentist worked quickly and had me in and out of there quickly. They were aware of my time and it was a very efficient visit. When I left, I asked them for my bill so I can present it to my FSA. They said it was being processed and would be better later. The service at this office is nothing short of AMAZING!! I was originally using another Dentist for my dental work. However due to COVID-19 the office was closed and when reopened the waiting period for dental work was ridiculous. I used the internet to locate an office close to me and chose this one. The best choice i could have a made. The appointment scheduling was easy, the receptionist fantastic, the dental assistant amazing and Dr Rhodes EXCEPTIONAL. They explained my dental procedure very well, explained the out of pocket cost, offered payment and financing options. Great office , spent years trying to find a dentist that I actually like after my regular dentist didn’t take my new insurance. I love the office , I love the atmosphere, and the staff are extremely down to earth and nice. Went in yo get my wisdom teeth removed after prolonging it for so long because of my fear, but the surgeon did a great job , he seemed so down to earth , I would recommend them to anyone.
