Dr. Sun is an amazing dentist and I am extremely grateful that I was introduced to her. I have an old silver filling that has expanded over the years, causing my tooth to crack. I have the option to either replace the filling with a new resin filling or installing a crown but was not clear which was the best path to take. Dr. Sun was clear and recommended a new filling and that the crown was not necessary, setting my mind at ease. Dr. Sun also had great recommendations on straightening my teeth. I had braces as a teenager but my teeth moved out of place again over time. A visit to an orthodontist ten years ago recommended braces again – not happening. Knowing that Dr. Sun is a world renown cosmetic dentist, I asked for her opinion. Not only did she provide some great options to achieve my goals without braces, she also explained why proper teeth alignment has important health implications, something that none of my previous dentists have explained, and in a way that made sense with what I experience. Dr. Sun’s practice is very impressive. The technology and capabilities of Dr Sun’s practice are state of the art. The entire team I interacted with treated me like part of the family. Claudia, Jannette and Nicky are all professionals who care, like Dr. Sun, about delivering the best patient experience possible. I will certainly be back.

My son and I have been seeing Dr. Sun since we moved here two years ago.  She is amazing!  My son likes going because they are very gentle.  Dr Sun fixed my crowns and other dental issues with NO PAIN!  The whole office is just a nice experience.  The hygienists are thorough and the ladies who run the front office are always very helpful and nice.  And so far they have never been late and always take me exactly at appointment time or a little early!  They fit me in quickly when needed and the prices are very reasonable. In fact, cleanings are exactly half of what they cost at my prior dentist in Seattle.

Dr.Sun is the real life tooth fairy, believe the hype, she really is the best. My journey with Sun Dental Group started 5 years ago and there is a reason I fly out from NYC to LA, primarily because Dr.Sun is a master of her craft and skilled beyond words can describe. She wears many hats: she is a doctor who deeply cares about your dental health, an artist who keenly observes the harmony of your smile and goes above and beyond to ensure you walk out laughing and above all else, a compassionate and an incredible human being who makes the patient her top priority. Coming to Sun Dental Group is like arriving at a Thanksgiving family gathering, the entire staff makes it their priority to make the patient feel comfortable, happy and well informed. Dr. Sun and her staff take care of the tiniest details, from reapplying vaseline on your lips after prolonged dental work to keep you comfortable to asking you if you want a blanket to keep you warm to always educating the patient about what is being worked on in small intervals. A simple google search will list all of Dr.Sun’s accomplishments and there’s a reason why she’s known as the dentist to the stars, she delivers the sunniest smiles and is the only doctor in the world I trust my pearly whites with. Celebrity or not, you will be treated equally, she really does understand facial harmony, teeth, gums and the mouth like no one else. Dr.Sun really does need her own pink star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame, needless to say, I have found my dentist for life. If you don’t read anything else, please do yourself a favor and make an appointment. From the ever smiling and lovely Claudia who greets you at the reception and seamlessly helped me plan my travel to Dr.Sun’s office to the entire staff who treated me like they would a family member, I feel blessed to be in the caring and expert hands of Dr. Sun and staff! I typically do not write yelp reviews but Sun Dental Group needed a special shoutout. Love and light to the entire team, I am so thankful I came to the right place!

I confess – I have fallen in love with my dentist. Dr. Sun is so good that I make special trips down from Utah just to see her. I couldn’t give her up after leaving LA, that’s how good she is. Dr. Sun gave me my smile back – after years of bad dentists and poor restorations, my smile is not only beautiful, but completely natural. Dr. Sun has an encyclopedic knowledge of cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics and knows how to treat you individually, with a steady hand and a gentle touch – zero pain. Claudia and the rest of the staff is so professional, they anticipate what you need before you ask for it. This is, quite simply, a dream institution. I am so glad I found Dr. Grace Sun.

My daughter has EXTREME anxiety and the second she walked into Dr. Sun’s practice she was convinced that this will be her forever dentist. Dr. Sun’s warmth and expertise shined through and my daughter felt completely at ease. Also, the entire staff was fabulous… Thank you to Chantal ( the fabulous hygienist) for your gentleness and great care. In addition, I want to thank Jannett, Claudia, Maritza, Viola and Lori for making this experience for my daughter so comfortable. This mom is overwhelmed with happiness and gratefulness to Dr. Sun and her staff! I can’t recommend enough this outstanding dentist, I am so appreciative that my child now feels stress free to go to the dentist.

I was so scared of the dentist until I came to Dr. Sun. She had a masseuse for me to rub my feet – she is so gentle – the fear went away completely. And the veneers I got (4 in front) are so beautiful!!! I’ve seen veneers in the past that look like white chicklets. These are for all intensive purposes, real. Go to Dr. Sun. She’ll take care of you and you will never see another dentist.

Six years ago I moved to LA from Dallas and I had to find a new dentist. My past experiences with dentists have been something from a horror movie. i REALLY hate dental work & was avoiding it until l had an old crown crack recently. I found Dr. Sun on the internet in my quest to find the most competent expert in the field. Quality healthcare is not something l am willing to sacrifice in this area, even though i don’t have dental insurance. i wanted to establish a long term relationship with a dentist that i knew l could trust so that when any issue arises, l am no longer afraid to resolve it. l am so grateful that I found Grace & her amazing staff. Not only is she a brilliant ceramist (she makes the veneers herself), but she is a pioneer she was the first female Fellow in the AACD, and she was one of the first cosmetic dentists to use lasers. She is a perfectionist but as cool as a cucumber & her demeanor immediately put me at ease. She did not try to talk me into any additional work & i was treated with compassion & understanding by every member of her staff. l also had my teeth cleaned by her wonderful hygienist, Chrystal, & her technique was top notch. Dr. Sun is not the least expensive dentist, but that was not my major concern. She has a massage therapist on staff 3 days a week that worked on me during my procedures to lessen my anxiety, which is a nice benefit. She also has an .in house lab, so it saves time totally worth it. if you need a dentist, l challenge you to find a better one that Dr. Sun. After all these years, she is still passionate about her work & a brilliant professional.

I had a bad tooth. I wanted to ignore the extraction that was recommended by a couple of well respected and “popular dentists” in my area. My neighbor referred me to Dr Sun. She was nice and patient with me I was nervous and skeptical. She looked at the X-rays and the tooth and came up with a “tooth saving solution”. It worked. So far so good. On a top I have a very bad gum disease I have inherited from my mother. She had the simplest recommendation. Simply put: Dr. Sun is an extremely conservative dentist, if she can save it, she will do that.She is nice, honest and has tons of knowledge. Highly recommended

Dr. Sun is an amazing dentist (and dental surgeon)! State of the art facilities and a friendly competent staff make this my first choice for dental service. They can handle everything from a simple cleaning to complicated replacement procedures. Patient comfort always comes first, which is reassuring to say the least! Was dreading getting a root canal recently (I had an abscessed tooth that I had been in denial about but Dr. Sun did this amazing 3D imaging of my mouth during my last cleaning that made it clear what terrible shape the tooth was in), but much to my surprise, it was not bad at all! Just a bit more than an hour total – I actually dozed off at the end because I was so relaxed and confident in their work. The protein smoothie was an added bonus and very tasty! I can’t imagine going anywhere else now.

A THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING=- A couple years ago I met my biggest adversity. Myself. Coming into high school I lacked the confidence to ever smile, to ever show my teeth, or to even be comfortable in my own body. I refrained from ever taking pictures in times of joy because I felt embarrassed. My teeth and jaw were unaligned, crooked, and I considered it shameful. Public speaking was a very difficult task because I felt as if the audience was focused on my teeth rather than my words. No matter how many sentences I can say, a smile measured far greater than words could ever convey. I was stuck in the broken record of fear of what people might think of me. Walking into Dr. Sun’s office however, gave me an opportunity to smile. Through the years of Braces, Jaw Adjustments, X-Rays, Retainers, and more I came out of that office every time feeling a sense of happiness. One appointment in the Sun Dental Office was a step close to a brighter smile. Through the many years of coming to the Dental Office, I experienced nothing but absolute content. The Dental Staff is exceptional in their work! They made sure that I was comfortable through the periods of waiting and during the examinations/procedures. In waiting periods I would be offered numerous commodities such as smoothies, magazines, and even access to free wifi. Satisfaction does not even begin describe my experiences at the office. I write this review not only as a tip for others, but as a thank you to the workers at Sun Dental. Because of them, my smile, my confidence, my self-reflection improved drastically. I would be surprised if anyone experienced negativity during their stay there because during my years of attendance I had no form of adversity at all. One bad review should not cloud the positive in my opinion. One small candy doesn’t ruin a whole smile so why should a review? Haha but overall, thank you Dr.Sun and staff for everything you have done. This newfound smile I obtained was all thanks to you guys 🙂
