I’m writing this review immediately after having my top two wisdom teeth extracted. dr rafi had my teeth out in 30 min or less with zero pain! The only pinch was the Novocaine in the beginning which is totally normal even with just a cavity. Every one in this office is so kind and truly care for you. Feels like family! Five STARS awesome first time experience definitely recommend especially for wisdom teeth! Janett is so sweet! The office is so clean! Thanks guys!

Hi. This is a pleasant place to be, even though it’s (shudder) a dental office. Everyone from the front desk to the treatment chair is kind, easygoing, and thoroughly professional in every way as they move you through diagnostics and care. They’re great communicators and have inspired me to up my game after a lifetime of thinking my good old brush and floss routine was doing the job. It may sound odd, but my teeth and gums feel more alive and my exams show a much happier mouth. Cheers!

I found this office online when I first moved to the area and wanted to take advantage of their new patient special. I had been to 2 other dentists in the past year through Groupon but was very disappointed with their service. The cleanings had been quick and they gave me a list of things that I supposedly needed. To my surprise, the staff at Sunset Plaza were very warm, the exam was done by the doctor who showed me my 2 cavities on the xrays as well as blown up pictures of my teeth. The cleaning was done by a hygienist who was extremely sweet and thorough. They asked me if I wanted any cosmetic work done but I told them that due to finances I can’t at this point, so they understood and unlike the other 2 offices offices, they did not try to push optional treatment. Since I didn’t have insurance, they reduced the fees for the fillings which ended up being 50% less than what I was quoted before. I came back 2 days later and had both cavities done. The doctor was also very gentle and thorough. I’ve since referred 2 of my coworkers and they also have been impressed.

I was so pleasantly surprised to stumble across SPD, as I was blindly trying to find a new dentist for my son and I. We had a bad experience when we first moved here, so I was weary about our chances, as I was also trying to find a dentist that would take my insurance. Everyone there was polite, professional and communicated very clearly. The work was thorough and precise, and the environment was comfortable and clean. Very happy with Sunset Plaza Dental!

Dr. Poneh is THE BEST! I have been going to Sunset Plaza dental for almost 8 years. I have had everything done from  yearly cleanings,  pulling of my  wisdom teeth, rootcanals, fillings, braces, to veneers. It was definitely a long haul, but my teeth are now absolutley gorgeous. Throughout this long process, the staff were always friendly and the doctors absolutley amazing. Its a small practice on Sunset, but  its very clean and a great location if you are local.

After moving to Los Angles almost a year ago this month I have finally found “my dentist.” For me looking for a dentist is a hard process because I am very picky when it comes to my teeth. With finding a dentist everything has to be perfect from being greeted, through the exam, to paying. As I entered Sunset I was greeted by Rose who was extremely kind. I checked in and it felt as though everyone there truely wanted to get to know me. Meeting the doctor is of course the most importart part of the entire process and I was delited to meet Dr. Poneh. She is kind and very knowledgeable in her field. What I like the most about Sunset is that all the professionals there have specific duites so that they can focus on perfecting their own craft and becoming excellent at it. They were able to take my insurance which is always nice :-).  I’m glad that Dr. Poneh and her staff made finding my dentist so easy. Awesome work everyone! Thank you.

Such a shame to see any negative reviews — been going here for probably 7-8 years now and I always love the staff & service. Have had everything from wisdom teeth removal, a root canal, fillings & deep cleaning and they’ve always done nothing but take care of me. And all these services were NECESSARY. They’ve never been pushy about anything I didn’t want to do — or that I couldn’t afford. Those comments by people had my jaw on the floor, as I couldn’t imagine a more helpful staff… And frankly, if you really think the staff here is pushy, how do you survive daily life in/around Los Angeles? It’s not hard to just say ‘no’ and discuss a solution — which from experience, they’re more than happy to do! But I think some people just run to YELP and write a nasty review rather than making effort to resolve an issue… Most importantly, Dr. Poneh is a total sweetheart and has helped take care of me even when my insurance was bad — or more recently, non-existent due to financial hardship (literally yesterday!). I’m just sorry some people on here haven’t had the best experience, as mine has always been wonderful. And I promise — nothing scares me more than the dentist. Will happily continue to go to here and I hope, should you be in need of a great dentist you consider Sunset Plaza Dental.

Wilshire Dental Care was excellent from the receptionist to the clinical staff and Dr Alena. They are extremely professional and use state of the art equipment providing an excellent outcome. I am very pleased with the root planing and polishing I received and highly recommend them if you require any dental procedure.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Poneh Ghasri for 5 years now.  She’s gentle, has great bed-side manners, and honest.  I had a bad previous experience with another dental office so now that I’ve moved, I still commute to West Hollywood to see her.  The office is clean and the assistants and the receptionist are always very nice.  They also take my insurance which is very convenient.  Also, they are flexible with my schedule which is a big plus!

I’ve been here 4 times over the last few weeks for x-rays, a cleaning, whitening, and 6 new veneers. My teeth are gorgeous now. Dr. Ghasri is amazing at her craft, and all the staff I’ve met are always nice. They remember my name, and I never have to wait for hours to be seen. I am really baffled as to why the only reviews of this place are negative. I guess more people like to complain than praise. I love coming here, and I will continue to go back for check ups and future dental work.
