I have been going to Surfside Dental for one year now and I am so please with the care I have received.  The staff is wonderful, from Kelly at the front desk to the dental hygienists to Dr. Michael McMahan.   Everyone is so kind and they truly care about your dental health.  My dental hygienist, Damaris was AWESOME!!!  I had to be fitted for a new night guard to protect my teeth from grinding while I sleep and if you’ve ever been fitted for this sort of thing you know it’s not pleasant.  Damaris worked so quickly getting the molds taken and kept me as comfortable as she could during the process.  Thank you Dr. McMahan and your wonderful staff for taking such good care of me!

While I always receive great service here, today I called for an emergency appointment because I broke my tooth. They are so nice, caring and understanding!! They squeezed me in this afternoon and placed a temporary crown while my permanent crown is made. I really appreciate that they are so accommodating and professional here, they sure do know how to put you at ease. It really makes going to the dentist no big deal! Thanks!!

My experience at Surfside is always wonderful! Kelly is always there to greet me with a warm, friendly smile, Natalie was my hygienist, she was so sweet and did a great job and Dr. McMahan is extremely professional, efficient and pleasant as well!

What a great clean office with a fun relaxing beach feel.  I liked sitting in the chair watching the waves roll on to the beach on the eye level TV.  The TV also was used to show me the X-Rays and work need to be done.. Dr McMahon gives a professional, easy going vibe

Dr. McMahan and his entire staff are wonderful! They are personable, professional, and honest, never recommending unnecessary work. My teeth and gums are the healthiest they have been in years. Highly recommended

I can not say enough about how wonderful this office is. I typically HATE the dentist but this is a totally different experience. Everyone in this office is just amazing. Dr. McMahon is so caring and kind. I overhead him working with an elderly gentleman in the room next to mine on trying to figure out the most economical way of providing the patient the repairs that he needed. He clearly cares about his patients and is not out to “sell” his dental services. The office is very nice and new and the staff is incredibly efficient and kind

So pleased with my visit to this office.  Damaris, my hygienist was just amazing.  She was sweet, knowledgable, and really made sure that my X-rays, scaling and cleaning were as pleasurable as could be.  She also did a mouth and tongue cancer check, which I have never had done by any other office before.  Dr. McMahon is kind and gentle and did not try to up sell me anything I did not need.  In fact he had several solutions to issues that desperately needed attention, at a lower cost than another dentist had quoted me.  So happy I found them and will suggest them to my friends and clients

I love this place already. New patient, i showed up with an emergency exam, but the staff right away was amazing, along with the feel of the office so calm, pretty decor. The dentist, Mr. McMahan just makes you feel comfortable and has your well being in mind. So hard to find places like this

I have been going to Surfside Dental for over 3 years now and they always treat me great. I have had regular cleanings and fillings for chipped teeth here and the experience has always been top notch. This time around I had the pleasure of having Damaris clean my teeth and she was very thorough and enlightening on a few problem areas for me. I had a chipped front tooth and called to inquire about an “emergency” repair.  I was promptly given an appointment for that same day.  The office is modern and beautiful with all the latest technological advancements.  My tooth was beautifully repaired at a very reasonable price.  The staff was kind and accommodating.  I highly recommend!

Dr. McMahan is a great family dentist.  I have taken my children to him since they were small.  (They are now teenagers.)  Dr. McMahan is able to put them at ease and they are not afraid to visit the dentist because of this.  And they think he’s cool because he’s such a great athlete:-)  We love the friendliness of the staff.

Best Dental hygienist I have ever had! Start to finish the absolute best dental experience. Up-to-date equipment, fast, thorough and courteous service from everyone on the team at Surfside. Same day cleaning with new appointment! That has never happened to me. Highly recommend

Absolutely fantastic! I had a filling that had fallen out in the morning. I frantically called my “regular” office. The were not open. My wife recommend SurfSide as we are newly married, and I hadn’t looked into changing Dentist’s. I will be know! Anyway long story short. They got me in at 12 (noon). And I was literally back in my truck by 12:51. My kind of service!! Being a local small business owner. I felt the need to share my opinion of the absolutely great staff, service and flexibility that Surfside Dental provides. Thank you!

Best Dentist Ever! Love this guy and the whole office. Very friendly and competent. We were referred to this dentist a couple of years ago by a friend and we’ve had several visits for cleaning and dental work. It’s really great to be able to trust that your dental health is number one and you’re not just a number to the dentist. We enthusiastically recommend Dr. McMahon and staff.

I was truly relieved to learn that all was going well with my recovery of having two molars pulled the week before. Surfside Dental came highly recommended from close friends. When I made the appointment, they were nothing but professional and able to fit me in in a short timeframe. Though I only went in for a routine cleaning and exam, the hygienist was extremely thorough, patient, and gentle. The office itself was very clean and well designed. All the equipment was well-maintained and from what I could tell, fairly new. Happy to say I highly recommend Surfside Dental now, too!

Dr. McMahan is awesome. I’ve known him since I moved to the area as a teenager. He’s always so friendly and caring. Being afraid of the dentist, he was so gentle to me when I found out I needed a root canal. He was so patient, even when I was nervous! He’s done much major treatment for my teeth and the results have been fantastic. I haven’t had problems with any of them so far. I’ve also enjoyed this office’s hygienist. It was a thorough cleaning that I enjoyed. She was careful and very precise, and was always asking me if I was still comfortable. I highly recommend this office

Had a great experience all around! Very well updated, clean office. They had good a good variety of music playing softly throughout the space/exam rooms. The tech cleaning my teeth did an amazing job accommodating to my request of being gentle on my gums, and the doctor did a great job filling my tooth. It was efficient, but not so efficient that you feel like they rushed the job. I’m honestly going to be sad when I move and can not see this dentist anymore!

Best dentist ever! Have been going here for 5+ years and even moved to San Diego but still make the drive up to keep this dental team. Dental team is competent and thorough, dentist is caring and laid back but super high quality services 🙂 Patient for life- highly recommend!

Brought my husband in for a toothache and they took great care of him. Everyone from the front office, the assistants and Dr. McMahan were all very nice and very professional. My husband was at ease. Thank you all for your wonderful customer service.

I just had my first appointment and I thought they were very through. The staff was nice and kind. They took lots of pictures and x-rays. Dr. McMahan carefully explained what needed to be done and prioritized the way it could be done. They did not push, scold, or make you feel that all had to be done immediately. The girl who cleaned my teeth was very throughly and took her time. Their equipment was very up to date. Looking forward to next appointment which says something for a coward like me.

Destynee was scared to death getting her tooth worked on! The previous dentist in San Marcos told her to shut up and stop being a baby when she asked him to stop because she could feel the pain! Dr McMahan is the nicest dentist we have ever been to! Super gentle and cares about his patients well being! I have already told family this is the place to go!

Very professional, seems up to date on modern equipment that makes dentistry more comfortable for the patient. I come from an era of history when they had drills that sounded like they were grinding away, novacaine that’s didn’t always numb enough and uncomfortable dentist chairs. As a child I was afraid to go to the dentist even though he tried to be concerned and comforting. It was more the equipment than the dentist. I am still a coward but find that Surfside understands these fears and helps me to be more relaxed. Friendly, courteous and willing to work with you regarding fees and payments.

Dalton is on point! Man has some real skill. Dr. Mac is also ridiculously skilled. On top of being amazing at what they do (dental work), I felt really welcome and the office has a nice vibe to it. It was tough finding a dentist when I moved out here so I’m glad I found this team

Like many people, I was terrified of dentist, but I forced myself to go out of desperation as I was in extreme pain. I went to Dr. McMahon because my boyfriend had gone to him for the same type of tooth problem and he had a good experience. The office is beautiful and relaxing, the staff is friendly and helps put you at ease almost instantly. Dr. McMahon exudes a serene energy, and he has kind eyes. I felt at ease. I had a cracked molar extraction. The procedure was quick, efficient, with no pain. My daughter has a cracked tooth, and I she has an upcoming appointment with Dr. McMahon because I know my daughter will be well taken care of. I never thought I would say this, but I Love Surf Side dental and I would recommend Dr. McMahon and his staff for your dental needs

Can’t say enough about my experience.  I haven’t been to the dentist in 10+ years, and they made me feel super comfortable and took care of everything.  I really was happy when I left, and I will actually go back here regularly :).

My dentist of 20 years retired and my husband and I were referred to Surfside Dental.  This dental office and team are perfection!  Kelly, the office manager couldn’t be more pleasant & professional and Dr. McMahan is very friendly, kind, and empathetic to each dental situation.  He doesn’t “push” his business or treatment onto patients like I have experienced at other dental offices. Surfside  Dental is  beautifully remodeled  which includes the most updated dental technology.  I used to never want to get  dental x-rays because of radiation exposure, but their x-ray equipment produces very minimal radiation.  Each time I walk into Surfside Dental I feel very calm and relaxed.  While in a dental chair I love being mesmerized by watching the  (large flatscreen TV) beach front webcams and listening to the calming music.  The entire Surfside Dental experience  could not be anymore pleasant! I am extremely thankful to have Dr. McMahan and his team providing our dental care! Another plus is parking. Parking is very easily assessable.

Wow!   My husband, two children and I just went  in for cleanings and I left feeling like I was at the spa!  We have been going to Dr. McMahan for years, but he recently updated his office.  The decor is so peaceful and relaxing, it really puts you at ease for having dental work done.  I had my teeth cleaned while relaxing in a plush leather chair and watching different beaches around the world on the massive HD TV. hanging on the wall.  After my “treatment”, I was allowed to join my kids where they were getting pampered and watching Nemo as their teeth were tended to. The coolest part though is the technology they have today.  The hygienist took a picture of each of my teeth and Dr. McMahan showed them to me on the color TV.  Not an x-ray, but an actual digital picture!  This was eye opening!  It reinforced to my children the importance of brushing correctly!  You could see any stain on the tooth and fillings you have had. Dr. McMahan is also honest and practical.  He does not try to sell you dentistry you do not need

I chose Surfside Dental based on the reviews and I’m so happy to say that I agree with all the positive reviews. The facility is super clean and welcoming. All the staff are extremely nice and helpful. Kelly is so sweet and understanding. Christie is amazing with her work and takes the time to explain what she’s doing during the process. Dr. McMahan helped me make the best decisions for my teeth. His services have been efficient and beautiful! Thank you Surfside Dental Team for handling me with care!

Surfside dental has been such a great place to get work done on my teeth. I have been to three other dentists in my life and this is by far the best dental office I have ever been to. The entire staff is extremely nice, helpful and honest and Dr. McHahan is no exception. He is extremely skilled and has all off the latest technology and accessories to make  you feel calm and comfortable. Also,  the dental hygienists and secretaries incredible as well. I highly recommend Surfside dental to anyone who wants quality work done at affordable prices with the latest in dental technology

I have been going to Dr McMahan for 15 years! He is great! He is calm and he cares about his patients! He puts this nervous patient at ease. Kelly at the front desk is amazing! She recognizes my cell number and calls me by name when she picks up the phone

This place truly has my heart. I’ve only visited once, but from the time I placed my first phone call to after having work done, everyone was SO NICE! The doc himself even called me after work hours to make sure I was doing ok and that I wasn’t in any pain. They made me super comfortable explained to me clearly what was being done and why. The receptionist that took my call was so sweet and very sympathetic to the pain I was in and was so sincere. This is my go to place until we leave California

So friendly and accommodating. Beautiful office, clean and welcoming. I see the same staff every six months. Dr. McMahan always does his best work while working within my budget. I refer Surfside to my friends. I don’t plan on going anywhere else!

I love Surfside Dental! The staff is so friendly and gentle! I’ve referred 6 of my friends and family to them and they all are so happy with them! The dentist doesn’t have to be a dreaded experience!
