I don’t write Yelp reviews, but Susan Sheets and her caring staff deserve this one. If you are thinking about a Dentist who is professional, friendly, informative and willing and able to listen, this is the place. No one is unsupportive. The office manager is Debbie and she listens and will make the effort to assist you, I really like her…I am a patient who is not afraid of the Dentist, my partner is. She adores the attention in alleviating her fears, that she gets and wonders what took her so long to come to this office that is current, friendly and highly skilled. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Susan Sheets since I moved to the Palos Verdes Peninsula in 1990. Her staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve found the office manager Debbie to be very informative when it comes to explaining procedures and determining the impact of my insurance coverage etc. Dr. Sheets assistants Corie, Roxie and Sophie have always taken good care of me and I’m not a good dental patient. And, I’ve found that Dr. Sheets has a gentle hand during procedures. As much as I do not like going to the dentist everyone in the office goes out of their way to make sure I am comfortable and well taken care of. I’d like to shout out for Nicole, the new dental hygienist because she has taken such great care of me over the past year. She offered me some good advice regarding gum care which appears to be working so I can avoid surgery and I look forward to visiting with her. Last year my kids graduated from a pediatric dentists office in Torrance and I did some shopping around. After visiting multiple offices I decided that my entire family is in the best hands with Susan Sheets and staff.

Susan Sheets is what everyone wants in a dentist. She is extremely capable, knowledgeable, and caring. Her office staff are friendly and welcoming and her dental assistants know what they are doing and how to put you at ease. I recommend her highly!

I love this office!! Such a great team, most of whom have been with Dr. Sheets for 20 or more years! That speaks volume of how she is and how she runs her office. I love her…I was fearful of dentists after having a bad experience at another office here in town, and she talked to me about it and reassured me that that wouldn’t happen here. And it hasn’t! She is super gentle, and Corie holds my hand during the novocaine. She also did a beautiful job redoing my old veneers which were discolored and chipped. I can now smile confidently again!I I know she teaches dentists in Seattle, and takes a ton of classes to keep updated. I love that! So I highly recommend this office, and would not go elsewhere! They are all just the best!

Love this place! It’s sometimes feels like a never ending search for the right doctor, the right dentist, the right hair dresser etc.. but this dentist is awesome and I can finally check this off my list. I finally have a dentist I can trust. I never feel like I am being over charged or being sold something… I definitely recommend this place! As for the perfect hairdresser and doctor… still searching!

I started to go to Dr. Sheets office a couple of years ago. She is a wonderful doctor… caring and very knowledgeable, always answer all of my questions and walk me through the steps she is doing. The office is clean, it’s always easy to make an appointment. And let me tell you about that amazing staff who works there… everyone is super friendly and simply awesome! I highly recommend this place!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Sheets for many years.  She is always up to date on the latest technologies.  She does everything she can to keep you comfortable during your procedure.  She takes great pride in her work and does an excellent job.  Her team is also fantastic.  Her assistants, Cory and Sophie are experts in their work.  They have both been with Dr. Sheets for many years which speaks to the excellence of the work atmosphere.  I highly recommend this office.

As always, Dr. Sheets & Co. put me back together again.  I’m one of those people who only go to the dentist when they have a toothache…yet I get nothing but good vibes from Dr. Sheets and her professional staff!!  They are great at working out convenient time schedules for the procedures, getting my mouth back in working order ASAP.  I cannot imagine anyone doing a better job anywhere, ever.

Dr. Sheets and her staff helped me through a small emergency this week. I chipped a section off my front tooth during an early morning workout and called the office as soon as they opened. The office manager told me to come in as soon as I could and within 15 minutes I arrived, was given an exam room, X-rays and was being seen by Dr. Sheets. She and her assistant accessed my situation and worked promptly to repair my tooth. Her skill and artistry restored my smile and I was out and about by 11:45 am. I was completely comfortable and pain free the entire time. In times of need, these are the professionals one wants to be associated with. Thank you, Dr. Sheets and staff.

Thanks to Dr. Sheets and all of her wonderful staff for getting me in urgently today, even though they were so busy. And, for getting me out of there quickly so I could make it to my other appointments today!! � They know how anxious dental work makes me and always take such great care of me. And, my tooth is as good as new and looks great too! � Special thanks to Corie who always holds my hand during my least favorite parts of the treatment. �

Dr. Sheets has been our family dentist for almost 7 years. She is very knowledgeable on all aspects of cosmetic and general dentistry. Compassionate and she takes the time to explain everything. Dr. Sheets has great contacts for other providers, so you get the same great care if you needed surgery or braces as you would from her. The staff is wonderful and I have enjoyed the confidence knowing my dental needs and the needs of my sons is in great, competent, caring hands.

I came to the dr. with a gum ache and the team saw the crisis, administered Immediate care(important if your in pain),and got me instantly in for 2 root canals. I write this because of their quick action,expertise,and great bedside manner saved my two front teeth.I won’t be needing any  come Christmas time thanks to Dr. Sheets and team! Great job.Clinic and chain dentists are chancy I’ve found so the Sheets team will be taking care of my teeth from now on. Thank-you again.

I have been going to Dr. Sheets for over 25 years. Everyone in the office is very nice and I get compliments on my smile all the time. The office manager Debbie is very helpful and goes out of her way to make me and all the patients have a good experience and happy with results. I’m always happy and satisfied. The office is cheery and never have to wait. I have veneers and they are perfect, the color and shape are so natural . I recommend Dr. Sheets and say hi to Debbie!

Dr. Sheets has served as my dentist for almost 50 years and her dedication to her patients is beyond reproach. She is sensitive to the needs of her clients and extremely thorough when it comes to making sure the work is done correctly and is complete. She has not altered her approach to customer care since our initial meeting.

What a big difference from my previous office! I’ve never had such a through exam, and a discussion about my over all health. Dr. Sheets noticed I had checked “snoring ” and we had a discussion about me having possible sleep apnea. She referred me to a sleep doctor, Dr. Culjat, who diagnosed me with severe sleep apnea. I did not know this condition can mess up my blood pressure, which has been running high lately, or take a decade off my life! After she fit me with an oral appliance to help me breathe better, my blood pressure came down and I feel so much better, more rested during the day and my wife no longer complains of me snoring. I did not know that dentists can help with this. Great dentist!

From check-ups, cleanings, crown replacement, through gum surgery, my experience with Sheets’ office is excellent. All staff are professional, capable, and knowledgeable and all equipment seems to be latest technology, clean, and appropriate. Every experience was positive, from making appointments through their maintenance of requirements for periodic visits. Billing is professional, reasonable, and courteous.

Dr. Susan Sheets and her staff are AMAZING! I have been going to this dental office over 20 years when Dr. Marshall was there. At that time, my husband was active duty and we lived in LAAFB Base Housing, you can walk to your appointment. I now live and work 30+ minutes from Dr. Sheets office and the drive is worth it. From the time you come into the office until you leave you are “taken care of”! COVID-19 is no problem for this office, they are PREPARED! Pre-Screening questions before your appointment, hand sanitizer at the door, temperature check at the door, your dental hygienist is in full PPE, desk shields, and every effort is made to make you comfortable and safe. Dr. Sheets is always on the cutting edge of Dentistry, she makes every effort to keep up with the latest dental news, and makes it a priority to connect with her patients. All of her staff, as well, make connecting with the patient a priority. Customer care and service in one word AWESOME!

I found Dr. Sheets via online search and based on the reviews online.  We had to find a dentist right away for my daughter who was complaining of a toothache and needed to have an emergency tooth removal. The office staff was so accommodating in letting us come in late the same afternoon as a first time patient. After our initial experience with my daughter, I have since signed up my whole family to be seen by Dr. Sheets. As for the treatment of my teeth, they did a thorough job of taking X-rays, cleaning, and consultation regarding the care and treatment plan of my teeth.  I later came back a couple of weeks later to get two cavities filled. I initially was afraid of pain due past horror stories at other dentist offices. However, Dr. Sheets was very thorough in explaining the process and every step. She made sure that I was comfortable and free from pain. She also has excellent attention to detail and showed that she really cares about her work and patients. I highly recommend her and her team.

We recently moved to this area and were referred to Dr. Susan Sheets. This office has been fantastic. My kids are very well taken care of. They even gave my son this amazing box to build a fort with when he was done. (His favorite) It’s a very friendly but professional atmosphere. They were very patient with my fun, very busy little boy and very shy daughter. I would definitely recommend this office. My whole family uses this office.

I’ve been going to Dr. Sheets for a very long time.  She is always very professional and caring of your comfort.  Dr. Sheets explains everything before beginning and her knowledge of the latest techniques is refreshing .  The staff is always pleasant and helpful and all seem to love working for Dr. Sheets.  Don’t hesitate to see to see her as her quality of dentistry is perfection. I live in Colorado now but when I need dental work come to her and visit family at the same time.  Win-Win for me!

I can’t review Dr. Sheets apart from her team, and I can’t review her team without getting lengthy and clinical, so if either puts you off, just look away at this point. Dr Sheets had been my dentist for only a matter of months as of last October. (As a matter of fact, I found her on Yelp). At that time, my wife and I were, quite literally, fully packed and ready for a 3 month, retirement-vacation-of-a-lifetime to the east coast of Spain. Problem was, I had a swollen area in my mouth, nestled along the jaw joint, about the size of 1/2 (length-wise) an avocado pit. This area was next to a small cut. An ENT doctor had told me the “swelling” was the result of inflammation, and would subside when the cut healed. On he eve of our trip, I noticed that cut had healed, yet the “swelling” was still there. After a brief discussion, my wife and I decided I needed to to go to Dr. Sheets. After only 3 months, Dr. Sheets would ordinarily be far from an ideal professional source of assistance. Still, I had an inexplicably powerful, favorable hunch… Dr. Sheets was out, as it was a Friday. Debbie, the office manager listened intently to me on the phone, then told me to come right down, as it was near closing time. She took detailed, color video of the site in my throat, then somehow, without the slightest delay, got both me and the video in front a a leading Redondo Beach oral surgeon and MD – just prior to his office’s closing time. This doctor – who will receive his own glowing review, and need not take away from Dr. Sheets’ recognition – just happened to know, professionally, the Chair and Chief Surgeon of Otolaryngology (ear, nose, throat) at USC. The very next appointment day, I was in front of this leading USC physician and surgeon, and his team. As a result, after a full, immediate range of scans, on the next available surgery day I was in a USC operating room having a lethal tumor removed from my mouth and throat. Three weeks later, I underwent a second, more extensive operation to ensure that all, possibly cancerous, surrounding tissue was removed as well. Three days ago, I finally circled back around to Dr. Sheets. In one appointment – so lengthy every lunch in the office needed to be rescheduled – Dr. Sheets performed essential work on me that should have taken her and two assistants three appointments, just so I could begin to eat again – the all important next step toward my full recovery. Thanks to Debbie and, of course, Dr Sheets, along with practically their entire office staff, a flawless sequence of critical events was set in motion that, without question, saved my life, then my quality of life. Instead of finding myself and my wife marooned, losing ground to throat cancer, unawares and 5000 miles from home, I am now on the lengthy, rewarding road to full recovery from an encounter with an aggressive, symptom-free killer. There are no words – least of all “favorable review”- to describe my gratitude toward, and admiration of Dr. Susan Sheets, Debbie, her Office Manager, and the entire office staff that support them. I feel welcomed and at ease when walking into Dr. Sheet’s dental office in San Pedro. I feel confident that she is using the greatest and latest in dental technology and is providing me with the best treatment.  Dr. Sheets answers all my questions and all my concerns right away and make me feel that it’s okay to keep asking questions until I completely understand the procedure and believe me she knows dentistry. Had another great visit with Dr. Sheets this morning. Not only was my cleaning great and my examination thorough, the whole visit was warm, welcoming, and relaxed. What other dentist’s office is so supportive that they lend you a paper cutter so you can finish a holiday project? (Thanks, Debbie!) Bottom line – Dr. Sheets is fantastic! I have been her patient for 15 years, and I drive all the way from Santa Monica because of the professional, friendly, and caring service they provide.
