I orginally followed Dr. Hwang when she left Dr. Fealy to open her own practice because she is very gentle when practicing her dentistry (Dr. Fealy is also great but his hands are much larger than Dr. Hwang’s; but I would also highly recommend him). Recently, I have been impressed by her practice of standing behind her work.  When she didn’t like how a recently placed crown had a slight gap between the crown and the tooth, possibly because of the work done by the dental lab on the crown, she replaced it free of charge.  No dentist I have used in the past took such responsibility for their work.

Just moved to SweetTooth and Dr. Grace. We knew Dr. Grace from her years with Dr. Fealty and our son, Christopher and his family began going to her when she opened her own practice. My husband and I are very happy with the treatments we’ve had. I had a very difficult tooth that was perhaps on its way out, but Dr Grace was able to save it and I must say it feels like a new tooth! We are very happy with our move.

I’ve been to Dr. Hwang for teeth cleanings, a filling, and for teeth whitening trays. She’s everything you want in a dentist.  I’m pretty selective about who I go to for dental care, especially after some bad experiences with other dentists, so that’s saying a lot. Dr. Hwang is gentle and thorough in her cleanings.  When I needed a filling, she was able to do it smoothly and made it as painless as possible.  She’s easy to talk to, willing to answer questions, and professional and thoughtful in her treatment recommendations (she won’t recommend unnecessary treatments). I highly recommend her!

I originally went to this office because they were a listed provider on my dental insurance. I am very glad I did. The office staff is very professional, helpful, and friendly. The dental assistant is great!! And the dentist is very thorough and takes the time to really explain the treatment needed. She is gentle and very concerned that her patients are comfortable. On a side note, the dental chairs are awesome!! I got a back massage and a teeth cleaning all at the same time!!!

Wow Dr. Grace took the best care of my (not so patient) 95 year old grandma!! I work in the dental field so I am very educated in all aspects of dentistry. Unfortunately, it is too far away for her to travel to where I work so I looked up reviews and decided to give Dr. Grace a try. She has been extremely accommodating to my Gammie and I couldn’t be more grateful. Carmen has been really great through the entire process of getting her replacement dentures. I feel so bad I don’t remember her assistant’s name ( I think I do but I don’t want to be wrong lol) but he was also really delightful every visit. Superb customer service and quality dental care. Most people “shop around” for the best prices for dental work which is not very smart. Quality is what you should be looking for and you will get that with Dr. Grace. Thank you sweet tooth dentistry for providing great care for my Gammie. It makes my heart so happy she can eat anything she wants again without discomfort.

Dr. Grace and her assistant are absolutely amazing. I have been extremely fearful of the dentist and have had a significant amount of work done. I opted for sedation dentistry, which involves only taking medicine, and it was beyond amazing. I felt nothing and had no memory of the procedures. She also is a great cosmetic dentist and has the pictures of patients to prove her outstanding work. I am never going to another dentist again. I can’t say enough good things. Make an appointment and go! It feels so good to have a great smile and healthy teeth!

Like a lot of people on Yelp, I’m definitely more of a beneficiary of this community’s reviews than someone who actually writes them.  Who has ALL that time, right?!? Well, when you go somewhere that ends up being so completely and utterly head-and-shoulders beyond your expectations, it’s warranted…and, this is undoubtedly one of those cases: 1) I had previously gone to see Dr. Hwang twice at her other dental practice (also in Valencia) and always had a hands-down great experience with regards to her care and thoroughness and making me feel at ease in the chair.  I’m not one of those people with dentist phobia but I’m also definitely not the best with scheduling appointments on the 6-month mark so when it came time for me to have a follow-up cleaning and do a spot check-up, I found out that Dr. Hwang had just transitioned into her brand-new offices just a couple of miles away.  So, I booked an appointment for her new location.  2) That was appointment was yesterday, 10/27/2016 and I drove up all the way from Manhattan Beach for it (crazy, right?) because I wanted to stick with a dentist I already felt comfortable with.  Hey, I loyally followed and still follow my kick-ass optometrist all around L.A. (review to come!), so why not for a dentist, right? 3) I’m just going to say this: when I first stepped foot into Sweet Tooth Dentistry, it didn’t feel like I was in a dental office.  It didn’t even look like a dentist’s office; instead, it felt…inviting and soothing and creative what with the vintage exposed brick walls and the rich, wood-paneled ceilings.  The color palette?  Not that hospital beige or sterile white that makes you want to cry “why???” but more along the lines of pastel-y sea foam and light greys.  The place is the exact *opposite* of what you expect a healthcare practitioner’s office to be and that, in my book, is refreshing not just to be different but the effect it has on people who walk in. I want to see if they’ll Airbnb the place for me to crash there after a late night bender at the Valencia Westfield!  As I mentioned, I don’t have dental office phobia by any means but, like most people, I never really looked *forward* to a trip to the dentist.  I can now confidently say that the interior design and decor choices alone at Sweet Tooth Dentistry make me *want* to go to the dentist’s office.  Maybe not in the same way that I want to go to happy hour, but pretty darn close?? 4) Dr. Hwang, as I have already come to expect from my very positive experiences with her at her previous office. was nothing but the perfect, consummate professional in her treatment and standard of care during my visit–personable, thorough and engaging throughout.  I was due for a cleaning and a spot check up and she did both herself considering the practice is brand-spanking new and she’s doing a lot of the work herself initially, it seems. So, that’s a plus, too! 5) I don’t want to give short-shrift of Dr. Hwang’s care but if you’re reading this and you’re in the Santa Clarita Valley, chances are pretty good that you’re already familiar with her dentistry work, so I’m going to assume that you’re coming here because you’ve heard of her.  If not, you’re in for a treat.  But, come for Dr. Hwang’s care or come for the decor, either way, you’ll be more than pleasantly surprised by how a trip to the dentist can be something you look forward to as opposed to something you dread.  As far as I’m concerned, anyone who lives anywhere in the entire state of California would be doing herself a solid by driving Valencia to visit Sweet Tooth Dentistry for a truly and utterly game-changing dental experience. After all, it’s only once or twice a year and totally worth it!   I’ll be back for some follow up work, so I’ll update with some photos, hopefully… (I’m going to be posting this to FB as well, so if you see this there, it’s not a “professional review”, it’s me just copy-pasting my own review!)

I just moved to this area a couple months ago and can’t be happier that I found Dr. Grace to take care of my teeth. I had a tough time filling my cavities on the molars due to the biting issue several years ago and I was concerned about it when it came to redo the fillings. But everything went surprisingly well and I was able to bite right the next day. Dr. Grace definitely got great skills and always explains everything in detail and with lots of patience. By the way, I had very low tolerance of pain but I didn’t feel any pain with Dr. Grace! Both my husband and myself are seeing Dr Grace now and we know we are in awesome hands!

Love this dental office!!  The office itself is so clean and stylish, it makes it a pleasure to be there.  Every single person on staff is very friendly and personable, and you can see they enjoy their work environment.  Dr. Grace is so gentle and caring, asking how you’re doing, throughout your procedure.  I would definitely recommend this dental practice to anyone!
