Great Office staff and great dentist. I am a new patient, scared of the dentist and they all made me feel comfortable, answered all my questions, put me at ease and even though I need lots of work, Dr Matt’s fees seem fair and I am looking forward to my new smile!! I was so frightened to visit the dentist that my wife literally hired two bouncers to escort me to Dr. Matt’s. They strapped me in the dental chair immediately after my arrival!! Then the BIG moment!!! Dr. Matt glazed at me with his big white teeth shining in my frightened eyes as he slowing brought that gigantic needle toward my mouth. I was petrified with fear. I asked him when it would be over. He said the novacain had already been injected and that the filling was completed!!! I was shocked. His skills as a painless dentist were once again proven to be unique!!! Unbelievable. He even told me one of his lamo jokes.

As a patient of Dr. Matt’s for many decades – I can’t say enough about Dr. Matt and his practice. I am a person who had very negative experiences with dentists from early childhood. Dr. Matt is a true professional and a perfectionist. He is a kind & gentle man who truly has made each & every visit pain-free. Visiting the dentist has become like visiting old friends – many of his amazing staff have been with the practice for decades too – they have truly become like family to me! I highly recommend Dr. Howard Matt in Syosset. He is a wonderful dentist! September 2020: Additional review following more recent visits. Once again I not only have received quality dental care and professionalism during my more recent visits – coming to Doctor Howard Matt’s office is like visiting with longtime dear friends. Marie is the person you will speak with when calling to set up an appointment and she is also the smiling face that will greet you upon arrival. Of course in these days of Covid – it’s Marie’s eyes that you see smiling as pandemic protocol is proficiently practiced at all times. As the business manager, Marie’s professionalism, kindness & ability are truly a gift to the practice. On Tuesday I was in for a cleaning and x-rays. Annie is the hygienist and she is gentle, thorough, kind and does a phenomenal job – always! Like Marie – Annie has been part of the team for decades and is a gift to the practice. As always – Dr. Matt is amazing. In addition to being kind, gentle, humorous and a perfectionist – he really listens to his patients and does not push a person to have work done that’s not needed. An example is that I was having discomfort with a back tooth. I was certain a root canal was in my future. Filing the tooth a bit to adjust my bite relieved the discomfort. If it flared up again – I knew Dr. Matt was just a phone call away. As you can tell – I highly recommend this wonderful practice to one and all! October 2020: In late October I visited Doctor Matt’s Office to have a permanent crown installed. He made my entire visit pain free as always. Dr. Matt listens closely to his patients. Normally Novocain wouldn’t be administered for the work that was done, but it was my preference to have Novocain. The injection administered skillfully and was completely pain free. It was once again a wonderful visit! I highly recommend Syosset Cosmetic Dentistry for all your dental needs – you won’t be disappointed

I have not been to the dentist in a while. I went for x-rays and a cleaning. I was very nervous and didn’t want to be judged. I felt so comfortable with Dr. Matt and Anne. I was so nervous about getting veneers on my four front teeth, I had gone to three other dentists for consults and I finally found Dr. Matt through a good friend of mine. Dr. Matt was so great in making me feel comfortable, I went to three consultations with him before I decided to pull the trigger and move forward. I even broke my temporary’s twice, and Dr. Matt made sure to come in on a day he wasn’t in the office to fix them and take care of them. I had such a positive experience, and my teeth look absolutely beautiful. They look so real and I’ve gotten so many compliments on them already. Highly recommend!!!!

Painless and pleasant dentist! Who’d have thought? Dr. Matt and his team really know how to make sure patients receive the best care. Root canal? Effortless. Thanks! New post from today, August 18, 2020. So finally got to a dentist again after covid lockdown. As possibly the most critical of services to be careful of in an age of covid, I did not know what to expect. But, Dr. Matt and his team were well prepared for this kind of situation. The waiting room was set up for physical distancing. All personnel had masks (and gowns and other stuff in some cases.) and temperature was taken first off. I only took my own mask off when the doctor had to check the area of sensitivity and take an xray. Good outcome. My wisdom (does it stem from a tooth??) is still there. Thanks. So, a trip to the dentist after all this time is doable even for the most skittish.

I had anxiety for years about the dentist because of bad experiences. Dr Matt is a completely different kind of dentist. He explains what he’ll do but he also makes you feel like nothing will be difficult or painful. He also does not do work that’s unnecessary but takes a more conservative approach. He’s an endodontist so his root canals are quick and easy. My whole family now goes to him. I have never had a minute of pain. He had to complete a root canal done by another dentist and he did it quickly and easily. The previous dentist had said I’d need surgery to fix it and terrified me. Dr Matt is warm, funny, and very good at what he does. The office staff are wonderful from the front office person to the hygienist. I feel lucky to to have found him

I have been getting regular cleanings twice a year for a decade now. None of those even compare to the amazing job Anne did yesterday. Not only do my teeth look fabulous but she spent the time to show me how to PROPERLY floss my teeth and explained all the best ways to maintain a healthy smile in between cleanings. I can not stress enough how Dr.Matt’s entire office has been a blessing to me. Every single staff member is simply a pleasure to deal with.
